2481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selecting the right bounty campaign? on: August 31, 2018, 01:09:54 AM
Is is still worth enough to invest in these three categories when there are hundreds of them in the market with similar features?
Exactly, there are hundreds of them in the market with similar features. This fact makes the process of choosing the right coin so hard. Well, we can't do anything about it; only we can do is to be as smart as possible when choosing. So remember, always read the whitepaper whether it has a bright vision or not, get familiar with the developers and double check their reputation, and lastly, be updated on the news around you because this is an important factor which affects the ICO's future.

But, if you are still feeling hesitated when investing with new ICOs then don't push. Practice first on the old stable alts you knew.
2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are old coins no more profitable on: August 30, 2018, 10:23:51 PM
Could you believe new (4months-7month ago) listed token/coin claimed much slot in the CMC top #200 list.
Of course, every iCO has a chance to prove their worth and be listed in the top 200 (or even top 100 later). The question is, is their coin created enough hype to do so? Actually, this is the challenge for new coins which entering the market that need to be surpassed. They should become more competitive to increase their rank by proving to its investors and prospective buyers that their coin is better than the others.
Are those old project which belong to the spot claimed no more profitable?
Of course not, they are still profitable. Coins that launched last year (e.g.ETN, ENG, MTC and ENJ) re still kicking in the market.  Enigma is doing great right now since it is now on the 104th spot outranking Electroneum at 120th spot. Enjin coin and Docademic (though below top 200) are also fine, take a look and you'll see an inclination in its trend.
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HitBTC a scam?? on: August 30, 2018, 12:38:17 PM
About three weeks ago, my mentor and I just got a small talk when we accidentally met in the school. After that, I haven't notciced that our conversation went to altcoin trading and then I suddenly ask him a question. I ask about the exchange he is using right now (because I'm also planning to try trading) and he said Hitbtc. I was a little bit shocked after I hear what he said ecause I thought it was a scam based on the rumors around. But then, he contradict and said that he only experience slow transactions sometimes (for about less than a week AFAIR), nothing more aside from that. He emphasized that the rumors are just fake news.

Now it's up to you whether you will believe it or not Smiley.
2484  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] 🔥IOU Signature Campaign | Member - Hero | 0.0007 BTC /Post 🔥 on: August 30, 2018, 12:05:56 PM
Week 3 has ended!
Hello everyone, payments for week 2[1] have been sent
I already received the payment for this week, thank you Zapo Smiley.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many will regret that they do not invest in cryptocurrencies on: August 30, 2018, 08:40:13 AM
I think this situation might only happened with the newbies because they are the ones who are not yet familiar on how the market works. But if you're an oldie or even only few years in this field then I bet this won't happen to you Grin. I believe that you're not too dumb to refuse buying in a dip unless you don't have money to invest or lose your willingness to do so.

@OP ~ Just a clarification, nobody knows whether the bullish run will finally start before this year ends. So don't feel so sure about this issue because it creates hype that might victimize kind of investors which get easily influenced by rumors. For sure, they will have frustration if what you've said not happened at all. That's a lot of misery Sad.
2486  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ba ang Bitcoin ? on: August 30, 2018, 01:57:59 AM
Actually there are tons of explanation about bitcoin out there in the internet, I might suggest the having a lecture post about the technicalities about blockchain will be more appropriate.

Halos lahat alam na yan before diving here in this forum. Di naman sila pwede pumasok dito ng walang kaalam alam.
Exactly, you nailed it Grin.

@OP ~ wala namang masama na magshare ng knowledge because I understand na gusto mo rin makatulong kahit sa simpleng pag educate sa iba. But since this topic was already discussed so many times before, yung mga naulit (like your thread) eh nawawalan na ng significance lalo na't walang bago or at least interesting info about what you wrote.

Next time, isipin muna before mag-open ng thread. Maari kasi.g makatanggap ka ng bad criticisms coming from the other members kung padalus-dalos ka (don't be offended, this is just a reminder) Nevertheless, props to your effort Smiley.
2487  Other / Meta / Re: Show new replies to your posts on: August 30, 2018, 12:31:42 AM
You called me a SIR? Out of everything else?

WHY? What did I do to you? I don't even manage campaigns man....  Cry

I called you sir because I only want to show respect especially to a high-ranked member like you, that's all.  I'm not aware that you don't want to be called that way, I'm sorry.

Ps: edited my post already

Actually I was also like Navl_027 before who repeatedly call anyone Sir/Ma'am, but someone scared me that I can get Negative Trust for calling anyone Sir or Ma'am  Grin

Still quite alarming though a little bit unreasonable Sad. Ok I get it! From now on I will now quit using sir/ma'am when addressing to someone. Thanks for the tip.
2488  Other / Meta / Re: Show new replies to your posts on: August 29, 2018, 11:34:34 PM
pugman was right, get used to it. Though it would be definitely much easier for us to have this "Notification" feature, we don't have any choice but to be contented on the things we currently have right now. That's all we can do (for now).

What I did everytime I want to know whether someone quoted my post is to visit my post history, click on my post (only those which belongs to meta threads, discussing serious matters and also arguments) and then scroll down to check. A laborious task but worth the effort because it enhances me for being a responsive member of the forum Smiley.
2489  Economy / Economics / Re: Stop talking about cashless society! Let us preserve mother nature! on: August 29, 2018, 10:47:32 PM
As I first read the title of your thread, I'm clueless on how you co-relate our nature with crypto. But As I read to your post, I slowly understand what you are pointing about. Props to you sir.

Using large amount of electricity is not a problem but how they are making that electricity matters
Going back to the topic, sir St4yInTh3D4rk was right. There's nothing wrong of consuming too much energy because the real things which harm our environment are our means of extracting it and the byproducts after using it.

Yeah! There are solar, hydro and wind power generation present but still not widely implemented up to the extent that it finally replace crude oils. This is very hard to achieve because of the high demands of our world and due to the oil oligarchy itself because they want to exterminate the competition so that they can monopolize the market, a simple logic. Another problem, carbon dioxide emissions are inevitable especially to this era where everything was run by a machine. If we can be able to minimize this stuff, I'm sure that our world will now have some more time to heal itself and everything went into balance.

So they are just really ambitious and damaging our mother nature sir/maam.
Crypto revolution damages our nature? I don't think so, just being ambitious only Grin. And I don't see any wrong with that because that's the nature of human — curious and never contented — we always seeking for further improvement and excellence.
2490  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Group chat for new member using facebook ! on: August 29, 2018, 08:28:51 PM
Baka meron po tayong ganto or my gustong gumawa nang gantong systema group chat using Facebook messenger ,
I don't know if there is already a system like this before, probably yes but I think within one's circle of friends only. Actually, you have nice intentions for doing this pero sa tingin ko enough na 'tong local board natin kung saan pwede tayo magtipon-tipon.

Anyway, did you know that somebody here also proposed and made btctalk page on Facebook before? With the purpose of answering all question related here and crypto as well, at para magbigay ng guidelines at tips as well. I find it interesting so sumali ako kaso nakita ko na konting memebers lang din ang sumali which leads to inactivity. May mga nagpopost nga minsan pero puro referrals lang o kaya naman mga bounty advertisements. So disappointing kasi hindi nangyari yung expectations ko Sad.
sana makatulong pra sa mga tulaad naming newbie totally mang2 pa talaga dito pero nag babasa ako and learn something from this forum . Salamat sa mga sasagot na professor
Never underestimate yourself. Na pinpoint mo na nga yung bagay na mahalaga, ang magbasa dito sa forum. Wala namang 'di nakukuha sa tyaga di ba?
2491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which altcoins have the best technology on: August 29, 2018, 02:58:45 AM
Though I'm not so familiar with the differennt technologies used by various altcoins, I just want to say that I'm already impressed with Electroneum's (ETN) performance. It is an alt launched last year and now on its operation. I'm amazed to ETN for giving more attention on the use of smartphones by harnessing their own platform into this. Who would imagine that we can now mine crypto only with the use of our smartphones? Thanks to ETN's developers because they're the one who put this into reality Smiley. Another, they have their own wallet with a referal system included, also provides secure and fast transactions with zero fees, and you can also use it for payment along third-party websites,
2492  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the beginning of 2019 btc rise? on: August 29, 2018, 12:24:55 AM
Yeah! Bitcoin will soar high for sure but nobody knows when. See? It's on your statement already, that the price expansion of btc can be seen more vividly through couple of years so let's wait what will happens next. This upcoming year, if btc make to reach a new ATH then for sure many investors will come in because of the hype created by its spectacular performance! (I really hope this will happen) — which means more increase to its price.

Don't focus too much in the future, just enjoy the present and make the most of it. Besides, btc was just starting to recover again and might fall again, who knows? So relax Grin.
2493  Other / Meta / Re: The Reality of this forum on: August 28, 2018, 02:02:35 PM
The merit system helps but most of these "legendary" and "hero" spammers got there by shitting out one liners the past few years.
Correction, until now dude Grin. Sad to say but many poor high-ranked members can still be able to continue their bad posting habits without getting noticed because of two reasons: 1: others feel hesitated everytime they want to advise an oldie. 2. the eye of this forum was too focused on the mistakes of newbie shitposters. To sum up, it seems that they got exempted from the negative criticisms coming from the others Sad.
The obvious solution is to remove signature campaigns all together.   This will undoubtedly get rid of the people who are here for the wrong reasons.  But Theymos and mods know this will absolutely kill the traffic to this website and ad revenue would absolutely plummet.
Then you should be the one to make the first move, you are now free to remove the signature you advertise. Hmm, I bet you can't. Your word is a two-edged sword my friend.

Why do you want signature campaigns to get removed if these contribute to the collected revenue of our forum? And besides, you can join campaigs while not harming the forum at the same time, right? My point is, the real problem here are the ones who came here for wrong reasons (as what you've said) and not the campaign itself. Those kind of users are the main responsible for all of this mess Sad.

Ps: No offense sir. Peace Grin

I'd like to make a couple of suggestions with regard to posting permissions. I believe that it would be worthwhile to restrict thread starting in the serious discussion board to members and above. In fact it may be worth reviewing the permissions for thread starting.
Hope this request will be granted. It would be great to join a discussion with real members rather than spammers that would only shit post.

50 merit requirement could be a great ceiling for a member rank. Just an opinion.
Not a bad idea coming from sir Jet Cash. I'll will also agree with this one. Recently, I noticed that most of the repetitive or even nonsense threads came from jr. Members and newbies and I have a good feeling that disallowing them to do so will cause great spam reduction Smiley.
2494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to overcome my fear and how to start trading? on: August 28, 2018, 07:26:02 AM
The latter question was not hard to answer, I'm pretty sure that crypto traders inside this forum can help you and give you an advice on what to do first. You could also search stuffs about Day Trading since you want short term earnings.

But for your first question, you must be the one who can resolve that. I know that we can give you friendly advices and motivations which you may considered but still, the only one who will face your fear was YOU. So now, better have an introspection and assess yourself Smiley. (I hope this helps)
2495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I get started anonymously? on: August 28, 2018, 05:56:48 AM
Coinbase wants my SSN and a photo ID, and I'm not comfortable with that.
When it comes to mobile wallets, I don't think there's existing which don't have a personal information requirement (not so sure). Anyway, don't worry too much because they only need those infos of yours to verify their users. That's all. Actually, there are some which also asks where your funds came from to make sure that the money entering their wallet do not originate from Illegal stuffs such as online gambling (e.g. Coins.ph). We should understand that they do these parameters for the protection of their business and the welfare of its customers.

Only make sure that the wallet you will use is trustworthy and already got nice feedbacks from its previous/current users to become sure of its credibility.
2496  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: MOST POPULAR USERS IN THE PHILPPINE LOCAL BOARD on: August 28, 2018, 01:17:19 AM
Actually, one of the mentioned users by OP is my mentor (pero syempre 'di ko sasabihin ang name nya). He's the one who taught me about the basics of this forum and the one who make me realized the mistakes that I'm not aware of. Though hindi na ako ngayon nagpapaturo sa kanya since familiar naman na ako sa forum kahit papaano, approachable pa rin and siya pa rin talaga ang pinagtatanungan ko just in case na may hindi ako maintindihan.

Thank you so much sa lahat ng tulong mo sakin sir (kilala mo na kung sino ka Smiley) tatanawin ko 'to bilang utang na loob Smiley.

Just to be clear, they are just some of the quality posters who came from this board. So for those members na 'di napasama, don't feel bad sa halip ay magsilbi itong motivation upang lalong galingan at sipagan sa pagpost para marecognize in the near future.

And para naman sa mga namentioned, keep up the good work. Kayo ay maituturing na asset ng sarili nating board, saludo kami sa inyo Smiley.
2497  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: August 27, 2018, 10:09:40 PM
Now you know how powerful our media is, and as well as the biggest names in our industry today. Imagine that, just a simple combination of the two was so powerful that they can create hype or FUD which results sudden changes in the market . But anyway, you still have the final decision in the end whether you will go with the flow and let their statements influence you or never listen to them and think independently. This only means that if you lose coins due to this then it's your own fault, it's your money in the first place and you are the only one responsible for it.
Why bring the gods into this world. Are you a follower of Buddhism? Do not bring the gods here to describe them. Doing so is not very good.
Don't be too offended dude, it was just an expression Smiley.
2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of questions and answers are the same on: August 27, 2018, 12:15:35 PM
Yes, the same As your post also. but we give you reply Grin
I like the sarcasm Grin

@OP ~ You are right but there are still few of this "kind" of threads that has a unique factor by means of putting a little bit story of their experience, own perspectives or even external links for further reference which makes them more interesting to read and worth to reply.

Here's a tip, if you really hate this kind of threads/post then simply ignore it, do not tolerate it (by refusing to post in megathreads) and start sticking to places like Meta or Bitcoin Sechnical Suport.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be deceived... on: August 27, 2018, 10:31:55 AM
So many will be coerced into selling what they have, but i tell you, never allow yourself to be deceived.
It's not about being deceived but being afraid. Fear is the thing which is responsible for making the weak ones to panic that later leads them to unwisely decisions. Even though some of them know that panic selling is not practical at this stage, several still come up to this because their fear now weighs heavier than their fate to crypto. Well, we can't blame them for their behavior simply because that's normal for a human. All we can do is just support them for their actions (assuming that persuading them further will not work).
2500  Other / Meta / Re: what is actually our mission in the bitcointalk forum on: August 27, 2018, 12:40:10 AM
what is actually our mission gathered in this bitcointalk forum, what just looking for money what the fraternity between countries or between cities .. please his explanation Huh
Other correspondents are all right, the mission of this forum is to be a place for the exchange of crypto knowledge while mainataining its cleanliness and orderliness.

But how about the forum's vision? Well, IMO, it should be "to become the most comprehensive and trustworthy crypto forum in the world". Yeah! We all know that Btctalk is not the solely crypto forum in the world but since other competitors can't outcast this forum then I think it already achieved its vision. Agree Smiley?
