2481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: September 09, 2015, 09:33:00 AM

Most coins advertise as a ~~% POS coin, meaning that each time it stakes you get that ~~ percent of minted coins.

A 50% POS return every 9 days on DMD would be ridiculous because we would be out of coins in like two months.

I really do think that is the confusion, not the other way around.

thats not how our POS mechanics work

to be able predict how much u earn when u mint a block u need to know the gathered coin-age

and if it would be a year it would be 50%

if its a months its 50% /12

if its 9 days its 50% /365 * 9

i think the most easy way to tell it people is to say

1000 DMD earn average 10 DMD a week

~1% a week ~50% a year

Just so you know, all you math says that it's still 50% per year unless you go out of your way to compound gained interest.

compound is a different topic

if people have a hard time to understand what 50% a year is
then its to early to explain that it could be 55% a year if u mint regulary and not only every few months....

you can read up on it here if your that confused about it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interest

Some of the posts in this thread are extremely disturbing.
This HRT character (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=254606) must not have any children at all and seems to have some serious mental illness. Entertaining the psychopath is the wrong thing to do.
I'd rather a moderated thread as a precaution to help keep the psychopath at bay Smiley
Yeah, he has some serious mental illness. Probably daddy didn't treat him right when he was young, and now, he's abusing the vocab which was used on him on others. I guess he is something between 12 and 14 years (but most 12-14 yo humans I knew knew to behave better).

Best to ignore him.

I think his daddy used a little more than just vocab on young hrt, if you know what I mean.

Here's what his daddy did to him

Feel free to interpret "didn't treat him right" however you want. ^^
Whatever the case is, he is a really annoying person. Maybe even younger than twelve.
There seems to be quite alot of trolls surrounding Botcoin, probably mad because they didn't buy in at ICO or something im kinda mad i missed the ICO, but im not gonna start trolling to try to get people to sell meanwhile on the other hand the fudders are buying all the coins they possible can, then they flip flop to a cheerleader haha..

2487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: September 09, 2015, 05:38:10 AM
try to bet 2% of your total balance , roll to 5 times.
when your balance is -2% , bet 4%

for example :

your balance 1 btc

bet 1 = 0.02 lost
bet 2 = 0.02 win
bet 3 = 0.02 lost
bet 4 = 0.02 lost
bet 5 = 0.02 win

you have 0.98 now nad try to bet 0.04, if won it must be 1.02 btc now your balance.
if still lost back to roll to 5 times and try to make it on 2% profit each rolls.
that's my current strategy.

that doesn't seem like a good strategy just looks like it would lose you money very fast! so you roll 5 bets of 0.02? to get a loss on purpose? what happens when you bet 0.04 and lose? do you double up from your 0.02 + 0.04 bet making your bet size 0.08? or do you bet 0.04 again lol!

Yeah, his strategy didn't make sense to me, either. If you fail 5x, fail 1x, then any bets further you're already down 0.12. I'm not seeing how that ever becomes profitable.
maybe he just explained his method backwards or something theres no way that could be profitable i mean what he posted doesn't make much sense and would only net you a loss after just a couple games

my stakes are considerably smaller too now. Block explorer just not caught up or on wrong chain still? im on block 3922 now

3922 here too.
my stakes are also alot smaller ever since the hardfork at 3000, but the explorer still shows larger stakes being made?
im assuming it is just the explorer that's messed up but im not sure...
2491  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: September 09, 2015, 04:00:03 AM
The chat is now hugely improved. Multi-lingual people can subscribe to multiple channels at once, and see the unread messages of each.  And now all users are assigned a random color!

This is awesome! Can you also highlight messages that come to your name. For example @rhavar would always be highlighted on your screen so you can see who's talking to you specifically?
im pretty sure it already does that doesn't it? i might be mistaken though, i always seen the @user highlight before... does it not highlight anymore with the new chat system?

Im going for 3 bots. Everyone will jump on this.

only 3? Im going to try and pick up 20.
what would be the point of having 20 bots? i've have never purchased a bot before so i'm extremely noobie when it comes to these projects
would you be able to run multiple bots of the same wallet since you need a certain # of coins in your wallet for the bot to be able to work?

No, you only need 1 bot. The extra 19 would be to cash in when the panic buying starts.
ah ok my bad, kinda got confused there for a second was thinking what in the hell would be the point of owning 20 bots, but that makes a lot more sense to me thanks for clearing that up for me Wink

2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 06, 2015, 01:58:12 AM
I do agree with the previous statement of just use gambling as a form of entertainment. Just gamble what you can afford to loose and if you win then you are lucky. An avoid getting addicted to gambling, a lot of lives got wasted due to this.

waste money can be called entertainment? every month the countrys readjusting taxes ,makes no sense throw money for fun... go run ,listen music that kind of thing wont hurt you.
people waste money on entertainment everyday, think of paying for cable or satellite your paying for entertainment purposes, even going to the movies is wasting money on entertainment millions of people waste money on entertainment daily even if you purchased a song of Itunes before you tossed money away for entertainment purposes, but it can only be considered a waste if you weren't entertained by what you did/spent and asked your self was it worth it and came to the conclusion that the money you spent was a waste!
2498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Texas Holdem Poker?? on: September 06, 2015, 01:54:35 AM
Are there any Texas holdem Bit Coin poker sites where you can play with other players and not against the computer?  I like to play against other players because it seems more fair.  Please link me to one or PM me a referral link if you would like referral credit for this.  Thank you in advance.

There are many. Most popular bitcoin-only SWCPoker.eu. ACR Poker accepts Bitcoin deposits. You can also play with bitcoins at BetcoinPoker.ag & NitrogenSports.eu.
Or if you want ou can deposit bitcoin through Neteller and play with bitcoin on most popular poker sites.
SWCPoker.eu is a good one and highly reputable in this community from my past experiences with sites that come and go, SWCPoker.eu will be here for the long haul, so i'd go ahead and stick with them if your looking for a place to play Texas holdem!
2499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: September 06, 2015, 01:50:40 AM
Do you guys really have fun playing dice? Watching a number appear on the screen?

People gamble for the rush of excitement, the anticipation of not knowing next one is a win or not. Some play because they want to test their strategy. In general, I believe people prefer to play dice online because it's quick and easy. It's just click, click, and click, pass some time when you are bored and then hop to the next site.

that and you don't even have to be there to play dice, you can set up a bot and use the martingale system seems a lot of people do this over actually sitting there and making each bet by hand, but there are people who don't use this method and only do manual bets for the rush of excitement, winning or losing not knowing what will happen makes us just want to test our luck a little bit further until we've made a big sum of $ or lost it all and went bust!

This is nothing I saw I guy who won 20 million dollar in a slots game of paf.

Are you sure?  Current biggest progressive jackpot is Quickfire, Mega Moolah Mega $11,265,548
in the land of bitcoin maybe but there has been way bigger jackpots then $11,265,548 the current highest jackpot ever won in history was US$941.8 million with a total prize pool of €2.52 billion Now that is what i call a MEGA WIN!

We are talking about slots winnings! Jackpot of US$941.8 million was a lottery win at Spain’s Spanish Christmas Lottery , not a slot machine jackpot.

ya that's what i kinda figured but i wasn't too sure, it's still pretty crazy even tho it wasn't a slot jackpot, The largest slot machine jackpot in gaming history -- $39,713,982.25 -- was won today on a Megabucks(R) machine at the Excalibur Hotel-Casino on the Las Vegas Strip <thats insane!~and the largest bitcoin win i can find is $US 1.3MILLION is that correct?
