I do agree with the previous statement of just use gambling as a form of entertainment. Just gamble what you can afford to loose and if you win then you are lucky. An avoid getting addicted to gambling, a lot of lives got wasted due to this.
waste money can be called entertainment? every month the countrys readjusting taxes ,makes no sense throw money for fun... go run ,listen music that kind of thing wont hurt you. |

Gambling is illegal in some countries and hence it's wrong for sure. The reason being obvious is that people start getting addicted to this game and then keep investing all their earnings to earn profit. It becomes a habit which is dangerous. Those who have managed to earn profit only are lucky while the others are unfortunate.
can we call whatever we win in gambling a profit? Not that don't I agree with what you've posted and I admit I am not good in english but is profit and winnings from gambling the same? |

Share your story here guys!  gambling is not wrong at all. but you have to keep in mind that you should never keep your hopes up and plan to get rich through gambling because it will simply not happen for you. you can have fun playing all sorts of gambling games like poker, bingo, dice, sports bet, .... but as long as you don't plan on making money through these systems i think you are going to be happy with your results. and you might even win big time. |

Well i personally know a guy who won 20,000€ on gambling, he played poker and craps and one lucky day he won the big one.
He had good discipline and stopped right there. He bought himself a car, and rest deposited into the bank after taxes.
The keyword with gambling is discipline, but many people can get emotional, if they werent, then they would win most of the times.

Yes playing for pleasure is correct but after once you start gambling very difficult to control it so at the end people will loss more so it is better to avoid completely. |

Yes playing for pleasure is correct but after once you start gambling very difficult to control it so at the end people will loss more so it is better to avoid completely. And that pleasure can lead to addiction which will really ruin someone's life. Avoiding it completely is kinda difficult , just gamble wisely and moderately.  |

Share your story here guys! gambling..well, this really depends. generally is imho fine to play for money. somebody betting horses, cockfighting or sport matches, somebody playing poker, pool or darts..and somebody playing dice for bitcoin. it is same..until it is for excitement and fun and not for profit and cover loss. sadly, human nature contains greed and some of us don't know when to stop. money are not on trees but not everybody around is smart enough to realize it. guess why those gambling wrecks are usually handled as stupids even before they started.. |

It's not wrong...whether it's a good idea depends, and no, it's not inherently the profitable thing to do as gambling in 99% of cases has a negative expected value (except, for instance, if you play odds). But it's not morally wrong, unless you start committing crimes to feed an addiction for it.
