2481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Think twice before making a post on: August 30, 2021, 06:44:29 AM
People have mostly had the first instinct and post right away without doing any proper research first. It's just that people want to be spoon-fed immediately and wait for the replies. It's not that it's not encouraged, but most people don't want repetitive questions and can easily be searched, just like what the other members said.

Thinking before posting would be helpful, and make sure that there's no same topic about it. Plagiarism is a different kind of thing because you can only do that if you just outright copy-paste and never created your topic on it. It's not just like that. I think it's always going to be different when it comes to how it manifests. It's either you are a copycat, or you genuinely want to post about it, and you would never copy someone but only reference it.
2482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills on: August 29, 2021, 06:21:05 PM
I do suggest that newbies check out different trading tools like Gunbot because it might accelerate your learnings with trading and automatically apply those kinds of strategies that you are looking into. I think that's one of the best ways to make it faster.

But sure, there are many free resources about trading, and I think it's pretty easy to search for those things.
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My friend wants to buy ETH for Axie Infinity, but I said no and here’s why…. on: August 28, 2021, 07:13:52 PM
I thought there's something to the Axie Infinity that you won't want it or something. It made me confused about the title, but I guess it's just because of ETH. That's always bound to happen. Imagine people when BTC reached $60K? Those who sold at $20k etc.

Anyway, at least now you know you want to HODL more on ETH. Any particular aspect of the London hard fork that you think is making you so bullish?
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high fees in ETH? on: August 28, 2021, 02:44:10 PM
If you check any gas fees websites, there's still a high fee whether you are just depositing or transferring ETH or swapping any coin you will utilize. Most of the ERC-20 games that use many fees are unreasonably hard to play because it's going to eat a lot of your ETH. I hope they fix it because it's highly unreasonable to use ETH for transacting many transactions.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 sites for cryptocurrency lovers on: August 28, 2021, 12:06:55 PM
Top sites that I use for cryptocurrencies are
  • Bitcointalk.org
  • CoinMarketCap
  • Cointelegraph

I think these are the most valuable sources of news, projects, credibility of projects, etc., when it comes to any cryptocurrency-related stuff. For sure, the forum is my top 1 for anything. They are making sure that the facts are straight and the sources are viable.
2486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which timeframe do you use for day trading? on: August 27, 2021, 07:51:48 AM
It's good to see how others are approaching trading and making themselves more efficient with the use of bots. I use Gunbot for my trading necessities, utilizing it as an exit tool and complete automation.

It's good to test out different parameters, but we know that the market is unpredictable at the end of the day, and the results can vary continuously on other setups.

Anyway, for my day trading strategy, I usually use 15 mins for that. Whenever I think of day trading, it's okay for me to hold a position for a day and not longer than that. Right now, my focus is on market making, though.
2487  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hacked account? "Donator" selling account under his/her own name? on: August 27, 2021, 06:28:25 AM
I think his reaction to having that account to sell is probably a "wow" factor. Obviously, he didn't know anything about how the forum works with anything about accounts, he was too happy or probably made a mistake using that actual account lol.

How many more is there? To have those kinds of accounts.
2488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got arrested in a p2p scam on: August 27, 2021, 01:33:13 AM
I feel for your friend where it's effed up in that situation and that he managed to be okay after all of that.

First of all, I think using a P2P service that doesn't have that kind of reputation of being safe, there's going to be trouble for sure. It's sad that he had problems with KYC in Binance but still did KYC on another service. It's kind of redundant that he had done KYC but saying that "He didn't want to provide KYC" to Binance.

I think that's the importance of having KYC in those P2P because you can check or verify whether it was from the actual sender. Checking if the name matches in the account in the exchange, just like in Binance.

I didn't experience any kind of problems in P2P because I'm exchanging with those highly verified and good completion rates in the platform.
2489  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] My DeFi Pet Site Phishing - Beware!! on: August 26, 2021, 05:07:36 AM
I'm worried about how people who are new to crypto, in general, were introduced to crypto with these types of games. This would make the noobs vulnerable to these kinds of attacks and phishing attempts. So I do hope they find a way first into this forum before anything else.

Thanks for sharing this info, OP. I hope no one gets scammed by this.
2490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sports Gambling Websites on: August 26, 2021, 01:08:03 AM
The website that I had the most activity with sports betting is Sportsbet. It's almost the same as those who posted before me. They have a variety of sports lined up, and the multi-bet is something I'm fond of trying out, even though I haven't won a single ticket of that because of the variety of games that I tried to bet in to have a higher multiplier. I'm just inspired to copy someone who made a 0.005BTC bet and became 8 BTC, IIRC. I think it's in Sportsbet as well.

I haven't tried to gamble recently, but seeing it as a site used by multiple members here, I think it's a great website to consider.
2491  Other / Meta / Re: Is this New feature in bitcointalk ? on: August 24, 2021, 03:26:23 PM
It's definitely by the moderator basing on the moderator's note. lol

I always thought of it as a moderator-dependent "style" on keeping the forum clean and neat by reducing posts or something. That's just my initial thought on the matter though.
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the most bullish altcoin of the week? on: August 24, 2021, 03:15:30 PM
The repetitive nature of this question on when it will be the most bullish is so complex. It's never going to be accurate enough until it happens after. It's always going to be like that. If I were to pick a certain altcoin, it would undoubtedly be in the top 10 in CMC. If you feel that it's worth investing in the coin, there's never a time like the present and average down. It's always good to accumulate more.

2494  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Bitcointalk assisted in my financial stability on: August 24, 2021, 08:54:02 AM
It's enjoyable reading people's experiences here in the forum and how they got their life-changing moments here with all the financial capabilities. It's fantastic to see people have their winning stories and be shared here.

I also experienced a faucet phase, but after reading much in the forum, I decided to stay away from it.

Anyway, it's great that you have managed to recover and touch those accounts again that you got earnings from, and that's a feat in itself already. It's never wrong to invest in other projects hoping for it to increase in value.

Keep up the great work, and keep on sharing!
2495  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin invest? on: August 24, 2021, 07:13:37 AM
the rich are getting richer. That always works in any type of industry in the world.
One reason I believe this happens is financial freedom. Rich has enough to survive while they can block their money in the market during tough times but not the poor can afford the same.
The rich has the capability of being free with their money and has the capability of being able to invest in different aspects. It's only weighing where the person starts. Whether the person has a lot of debts to pay first before being financially free (students having loans) or comparing to those who started at 0 debts and continuously earn money without having to worry about debts and immediately earn for their future already.
2496  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] Position Size on: August 24, 2021, 06:58:46 AM
This is very helpful for those unfamiliar with the fundamentals such as position size. It's definitely something to look forward to when understanding how to trade. Anyway, I think it's good to understand that position size is very important when it comes to margin trading or the futures market. This will be the determining part on how much percentage would it be or how far the liquidation limit is for your position.

It would vary as well on what actual strategy you are going to use on this. I just appreciate seeing stuff like this because I can utilize Gunbot.
2497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT games players might facing problem in our country on: August 24, 2021, 06:43:29 AM
Knowing how the government works in the country, it's just going to become a change in their pockets. It will be hard for them to materialize this taxing, knowing that its actual method is quite technical, and they need an expert to form an effective way to tax. So I doubt they would be doing that because it will take a lot of work for the employees there and they are not that efficient when it comes to working. I hope they don't ruin the decentralized nature of it.
2498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK 20% of the gambling venues are located at the poorest part of the country on: August 24, 2021, 03:16:22 AM
I think the poor are hoping for the best in their risks. It's like targeting the highest risk with the highest rewards, and that's not healthy at all. I believe it's saddening to see this happening in the most inferior part of the country. It is educating them on how to minimize their losses and understanding that you should only gamble if you are willing to lose what you are risking.

Mostly, it's going to be those who believe in the get rich quick type of schemes as well, It doesn't matter if what they're investing in is good or not, but that's just the reality. They should change their mindset to escape the never-ending wheel.
2499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How weird is it to borrow money and invest into Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2021, 12:56:54 AM
It's never been something new to borrow some money and invest into an asset or any kind of investment instruments that are available to you. Most of the people who have an idea on making money borrow some so that they could make it larger and profit more from it.

For your question with regards to perfect timing, that's never going to be predictable. It's still best to average down on your investment and invest the amount you are willing to lose in the long run.

Do it if you are 100% confident in your investment venture.
2500  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin invest? on: August 23, 2021, 03:12:59 PM
That's true; the rich are getting richer. That always works in any type of industry in the world. I think it's not true when it's at the start of a particular project when early investors see the project's potential, and since it's very early, it's cheap. Like those people who bought BTC early stages where it's just cents. That's when retail investors beat the whales later in the game, in terms of profit, of course.

What's mandatory is to have financial planning in place and not "to bet" on the profits of BTC to turn you into a financially stable one. It's going to be a gamble, and I think the personal well-being of a person shouldn't be gambled in that way.
