Just received notice DigiByte is about to be added to its first exchange! Official announcement coming soon!

We have no plans to "dump." Why kill something that has the potential to be used in brick & mortar retail stores around the world? DigiByte has the potential to become a billion dollar payment system in the next couple years. As stated several times, we are in this for the long haul.
We are in the process of establishing an actual foundation and partnering with an existing 501 3(c) organization. Many discussions are underway right now.
Digibyte, I really like what you're saying and this makes me want to mine even more DGBs as your aim is to turn this cryptocurrency into something concrete rather than it just becoming another coin purely for market speculation and profit making. Have you layed out any long-term business plan in terms of the strategy you are going to implement in order to achieve your goals? Just curious to know. I have high expectations for DGB! Thank you! We do have a long term strategy and we do have several goals. BitcoinTate is getting ready to fly to Arizona next week for some important meetings to get some very innovative things started for DigiByte. No other coins will be able to come close to the marketing strategy being planned for DigiByte at the moment. We don't want to announce it yet until the coin is more established and we are on some exchanges!

Everyone should be prepared for growing pains. Just don't be the guy who bought a pizza for 10 million DGB and a year or so regrets giving up a fortune for a pizza.
Ok, it follows that 1000 DGB = 1 BTC. Nice! Well, I don't think that's gonna happen. I really like DGB, but there are too many. (21 billion). Don't you think $1 (for instance) is a little optimistic? It will take 4 years for the 1st 12 Billion DGB to be generated. A lot can happen in 4 years time. The market cap of Bitcoin went from $200 million at the end of 2012 to $11 Billion at its peak a month or so ago. According to coinmarketcap the total value of all crypto's right now is: "Total Market Cap: $ 13,398,342,860" If the same jump occurs in 2014 (which we all know is very possible) that puts the total market cap of cryptos over $100 billion. For DigiByte to capture $5 billion of that is not a far stretch as only 4 billion will be created in the first year. Wall-street is getting ready to dump billions into Bitcoin in the next few months. That will all trickle down as many people are seeing the problems with Bitcoin and looking to other alt coins. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-01-16/wall-street-sees-bitcoin-legacy-as-payment-system-currencies.html

Pizza sounds tasty right now, but not for $10,000,000.000 ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif)

Yes we agree there will be a dump. Our point was it will not be from us. But yes every coin goes through the cycle. Miners need to pay for electricity etc.
Also wanted to note we will be adding some more checkpoints with the QR code/ android release. And as stated before it will not be a mandatory update.
We have also received many messages from merchants thinking of using DigiByte as payment system because it makes sense to them once it hits an exchange. They avoid bank fees, there is enough coins to make the price around $1-$10's and they love the name.

It is sad to see so many attacks on DigiByte mining pools and if we could put a stop to it we would. On the flip side it means people see a lot of potential in DGB if they are going to go through all the trouble to launch an attack.
Please make sure to use a different password on each pool! Also encrypt and back up your wallets!
Great to hear you have been able to withdraw coins from the pool!
Several merchants have messaged us telling us they are interested in accepting DigiByte as a payment but they need an exchange to trade it first!
Keep messaging your favorite exchange to add DigiByte!

Been mining this for a while... Started on xtrapool. That was a great choice.
Now I see some posts about idcray. Hope it's just some networking issues. Seems like a few of the pools for this coin are run by bad apples...
Btw, I mine on Get-by, and it's good. If I'm not mistaken, that's creativecuriosity's pool, so thanks for that. It's been going pretty good for me. Also, thanks to xploited for doing lots of work on android for us. I'll definitely be using the android wallet at some point. If I come across your DGB address I'll send you some for your work.
His donation address is in the wallet so you can send it directly from there!

We would like to welcome xploited to the core development team. xploited has been invaluable at getting a Android Wallet up and running very quickly!

Also send a tweet @cryptsy and one @CoinedUp!

SifuGT & Giggler are also working hard on DigiMan guides that will teach the average consumer how to download, install and use DigiBytes!
I'm gonna try work on that tipbot but you guys would have more luck than me. Go for it! Any help is much appreciated, the more the merrier. This is everyone's coin, it is not just ours anymore!

Android Wallet Update:
Thanks to the amazing efforts of xploited the Android wallet looks great and is working! We have sent several transactions back and forth with the QR code reader. We are doing more testing and are working to boost the peer connectivity to make sure that transactions are fast. Just like Google we wont release it until it is fast!
We are also going to activate the QR reader in the Windows, Linux & mac Wallets and re-release them. This will not be a mandatory update as it is only enabling the QR code functionality.
This will be a huge step toward allowing merchants to accept payments from customers smart phones right away at the check out counter.

Please do not keep large amounts of coins on a pool. Use the auto payout feature and set the auto payment amount to a low amount.
