The developers of Digibyte will do an AMA with focus on the importance of Cryptocurrencies, this Friday the 21th at 11 pm GMT

The term AMA is short for Ask Me Anything. The thread will be posted at /r/AMA by /u/digibytedev, and also crossposted here as well as other relevant subs. We look forward to introducing cryptocurrency as a whole to people who haven't heard about it before.
Make sure to spread the word and prepare some questions! Also please suggest relevant subreddits we could post to!
+1 We are looking forward to it!

Some people love him, some people say he is not "professional"  and we should get rid of him and some people say we need "DigiWoman" and a "DigiFamily."

What are your thoughts?

It kind of reminds me of the LifeLock mascot (http://www.lifelock.com/how-it-works/); not visually, but conceptually. I don't mind either way. He's a mascot for the coin, just like the Shiba Inu is for DOGE. Of course, cute furry animals win over most people. I'm not a marketing professional by trade, but just provided my own opinion. If you were to continue, I guess it would be best to put together a theme, back story, or some kind of meaning to the mascot. A family or female digibot may play into that somehow. But, I wouldn't think you would want to continue investing in digibot variants without some sore of overall purpose or theme that ties them into what makes this coin unique or crypto-currency in general.

Thank you for the feedback.  Having the DigiMan for helping to bring in and educate new people about crypto technology we feel is going to be the best approach for him.

Would it be a good idea to have something like this for DGB?

http://ponzidoge.com/
Probably not. The word Ponzi has a very negative connotation. Literally looks like a literal transparent ponzi though.

digibytedev, would you be interested in hosting an AMA on reddit?
Absolutely, that would be great. When should we do it?

Does anyone know what happened to coinmarket? It was the first real exchange to host Digibyte, and now it's gone.
I went there to check out prices since mintpal is under maintenance, and it is too... Problem is, it's been under maintenance for prolly 2 weeks!

Well, I guess I'll check the other exchanges.
We are not sure exactly what happened but they have been up and down. Supposedly they were hacked and lost some BTC.

DigiShield is now live on the Dogecoin blockchain and appears to be working great! Fork you multi-pools!

Love the ideas and foundation behind DGB, hence why I have been holding since around 140sat!

However, half of this thread is mining pool spam. Please put a stop to it, it makes it harder to read through proper discussion!!!

I don't see the problem unless the same pool is posting multiple times per page. I makes it easy for people new to the coin to find an active pool. It also keeps the thread bumped at the top of the listings, helping the community appear active, and therefor attracting more interest.

But as a pool owner, my opinion maybe biased...
We agree with this.

BitcoinTalk is still the main source of new people coming into the crypto world. Having the thread bumped to the top often does drive new users to DigiByte.

As long as mining pools are not posting their add several times on each page we do not see a problem with this. It also lets us know which pools are trully supporting DigiByte and are active in the community.

It helps show an active community.

If anyone was having connectivy issues with the Android wallet or was receiving the "this payment has not been transmitted yet" message we just pushed an update to the Google Play store.

seems that since we are on cryptsy we don't care about other exchanges but I still think we really should push for btc38 and bter, china is big and there's a lot of chinese guys!!
We absolutely would like to get listed ob Bter & BTC38. You are very correct that China is a huge un-tapped market for DigiByte. Does anyone know of a better way to contact them or approach them (Bter & BTC38)?

As stated many times before, we are committed to sustained long-term growth. There will be ups and downs in the coming months but we believe without a doubt a consistent commitment to development & marketing will pay off big time.

We are going to continue working to build value in DigiByte each and every day. Unlike many other alt coin devs we are not rushing out to create another alt coin to pump & dump just to make a quick buck in the coin flavor of the week. This is the first and only coin we have launched.

DigiByte is a coin to hold long-term.

Just noticed we didn't have you listed on the website so we just got you up there! Thanks for running a DigiByte pool. We really like the name by the way! Smiley
