2501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 17, 2022, 07:30:41 AM
Butler knows he is not so durable, so if you witness his previous fight, his strategy is more on hit and run, and it works well for him. However, we are talking of Inoue the Beast, he is quick unlike the fighters Butler defeated in the past, so for sure Inoue can hurt Butler and could possibly KO him.

and also Naoya Inoue has a big advantage which is the age factor, at 29 years old he will undoubtedly have more resistance than Paul Butler who is 33 years old, this age issue also counts a lot in these fights

We don't have to discuss the age advantage of Inoue because Butler is not yet old, Errol Spence is already 32 years old and yet he is still one of the best boxers in our generation. The thing is, even if Butler is the younger fighter, I still don't think he can beat the style and talent of Inoue.
2502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 17, 2022, 06:06:45 AM
I don't see Inoue looking for a knockout against Butler, also that's not Inoue's style, for me he will do other more relevant things, Inoue has a very good reputation, I don't see him going to win like that,

I'm confused by what you said that since Inoue has a very good reputation, probably he's not looking forward to Knocking Out Paul Butler? And that's not Inoue's style to KO his opponent?  Actually, he is just doing his usual style and if one of his punches send his opponent kissing the canvass, then he just did a great job of KOing his opponent.

Anyways, what are those other relevant things you are referring to that Inoue will do instead of looking for a knockout win?

I'm not sure though if I got clearly the picture of your statement so please correct me with that. Cheesy

Honestly, I don't think Paul Butler will last 5 rounds. I am not sure if it's intentional for Inoue to look for knockouts unless his opponents are hurt already and he just went for the kill. But he knows that he's got power in both hands. Inoue stopped 20 out of 23 opponents which means only 3 were able to survive. Inoue is also not the kind of fighter that jabs a lot, he prefers to throw powerful punches with bad intentions. Butler's 2 previous defeats also indicate that he can get hurt or knocked down. Butler was stopped before and in his last defeat he lost by decision but he was knocked down too.

Siguro bigay parin nya ang best performance for this season at baka ma offeran pa sya ng kahit paano eh magandang contract.

The game between Magnolia and Northport is already over, there's still 5 minutes left but a 20 points lead by Magnolia is already big enough, Northport cannot make a big run already to win. I'm disappointed with this team, they have a good start IIRC but now they lose consecutive games already with huge margins.

previous game was against TNT, 117-93 loss.
2505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 16, 2022, 09:59:17 AM
I already posted before the fight that it will be the same result but this time its a much better win for Haney he is the one who learned and improved on this rematch, the jabs, the moves, and the ring generalship is just awesome to watch, I know that Haney is a good boxer already but after I saw this fight there's still an improvement on how he box, he is the money an all the titles are on his waist, now he will be one of the most sought boxers, he is the undisputed champion and he did great winning all those belts.

Yes, as what we have been saying, it will be a repeat performance by Haney. But this time, he didn't play it safe as most of his critics are saying about him. Instead he dished out more jabs, and right hands on Kambosos face that at the end of the fight, George is really bleeding and bludgeon by Haney. So there is no doubt that that man in this division is Haney and not the overhype Ryan Garcia or Tank Davis. Time for Loma to do this part, so that next year it will be one of the biggest fight in the 135 lbs when Haney vs Loma face each other.

Haney showed some aggressiveness, however, it seemed like he has no power to KO Kambosos. If he will go up against Loma, I think that would be a very exciting fight, and personally, I think I like Loma's chance of beating him, either by judges scorecards or through KO/TKO.
2506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 16, 2022, 09:17:44 AM
I would bet for 1-3 rounds since Inoue is just too strong for Butler and Butler doesn't have an iron chin, so I expect Butler can't do anything here. I think the fight would either end by knock out for early rounds or Inoue will win via decision since Butler will ran away in order to not get punched by Inoue.

Currently there's no odds for other betting option, maybe it's still 2 months more before the fight will happen. Maybe all betting option will available when less than 1 week, I'm just interested to see which betting option is more worthy to bet.

Too different outcomes, either a knockout in the first rounds, or by decision. Winning in the first rounds is unlikely, this is not a heavyweight division where one punch can decide everything, although Inoue has a pretty strong punch. To do this, he will need to work hard and if Inoue is counting on winning by knockout, then I think that this should be expected at the end of the fight in the championship rounds.

That's possible but unlikely, it's an undisputed championship fight, so Inoue won't be too careless and will go directly for a KO. I believe he will be more careful and compose while looking for the right timing, so 1-3, there's a low chance he could KO Butler.

2508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 15, 2022, 05:10:20 PM
In my view, gaming has nothing to do with gambling. This can also be the pitfall for gamers, who think they have an advantage because of their gaming experience. If you're really going to gamble, it doesn't matter how much experience you have in gaming. We all know you're not going to make it against a casino in the end. With gaming you are in principle in control and you are responsible for the end result through your own input. That is not the case at all at a casino. There are also many gamers who have tried their luck at poker, but most without success.

Games are not made to lose you in the long run. In normal games, you clear up levels and attain the highest characters and powers in the game. Game developers earn money through ads and other stuff and they are not worried about your progress in the game.

Gambling is a little different, as the intention is to earn the money right for the beginning. The gamblers are more interested to gain money and are not too worried about the fun part. The fun is usually linked with the money in gambling. As long as you are winning, you will have fun.

A gambling house's main source of income is the money that you put into wagering. So they won't let you win and gambling houses are also there to make money.

Yes, it is really incomparable because in the game, the user are sometimes releasing money to purchase in-game items or avatar without a guarantee that they will earn the same amount or more if they sell their character or some items. While gambling, your money will grow further depends by the odds and lose the same amount if you'll lose but your opponent is the host because they are also their for the same reason why are you there.
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 15, 2022, 04:25:01 PM
Even 168 seems to be few for Dmitry. He is a big guy by nature. I just cant imagine him being 168. Dmitry seems to be +85kg in off season and 79.4 (or 175lbs) on the scales. Dropping almost 10kg just to have a rematch? It is Canelo, who needs to gain weight and fight in 175, to rebuild reputation. Canelo needs to beat Dmitry "on Dmitry's field", to gain confidence and respect back. What is the point for Dmitry to cut, when it was Canelo who wanted to test himself in light heavyweight.
Yes, I think if there will be a rematch between Dmitry and Saul Alvarez it will be 175 lbs. Alvarez can definitely made 175 lbs easy, but Bivol will have problems making that weight.

And if I'm not mistaken, the first fight is 175 lbs so not sure why they need to change in the rematch unless Alvarez wants to take advantage of making Bivol life very difficult because he will have to squeeze his body to super middleweight.

There's no reason for Bivol too to agree with Canelo if the latter wanted to make the rematch in his comfortable division, he can activate the rematch but he have no power to demand anything, not even the cut because Canelo has lost the battle with the Russian boxer whom we expect that Canelo will take his belt but the opposite thing happened. It was my first time watching Canelo in his prime defeated ugly and it was evident that he cannot outbox the champion. If I were Canelo, I'll just look at the money side because it's almost no use in hoping that he can make a different outcome in their rematch.

For sure Canelo's camp will aim for more money not for the title anymore, after he's been exposed by Bivol's speed he can' box him as Bivol always have the best counter in each attempt of Canelo to corner him, though we had seen that Canelo really try it hard to get the dominance but Bivol is not giving him that advantage.

Bivol now has the power to make his own deal after beating Canelo, he can activate the rematch on his own condition.

I agree, it will be just a pure money fight in case it will happen because Canelo's record has been damaged already, so there's no reason for them to get anxious because Canelo has nothing to lose anymore and they are just taking advantage while Canelo is still a star. Bivol did a good job on taking the fight fearlessly even though his country is in a midst issue and his family is in Russia.

Pacquiao wants Spence vs. Crawford winner

Quote
Former eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao says he’s open to the idea of taking on the winner of the Errol Spence Jr vs. Terence Crawford fight. Pacquiao would need to come out of retirement to fight the winner of that clash. If Pacquiao is serious about wanting to fight the winner, he needs to return to the ring and get a fight under his belt against a top-tier opponent. The boxing public would be more interested in seeing Pacquiao fight the Spence-Crawford winner if he shows that he still possesses his skills by defeating a top 20 contender first.

The 43-year-old Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs) was asked on Thursday if he’d like to face the still-unsigned Spence-Crawford winner, and he asked in the affirmative.

What do you think guys? Can Pacquiao still have that fierce to compete with either Errol Spence Jr. or Terence Crawford?

Personally, for me, even if he is fit and capable to fight, it's better to just enjoy his retirement while making money thru exhibition fights.

No need to achieve new things to add to his already established successful legacy. That's enough.

Did Pacquiao actually said that? Or is it just a writer who made up some stories to get an attention? Because I really don't think Manny Pacquiao is that dumb to consider fighting an undisputed boxer in what was toutred as the most challenging division. Crawford is already hard to defeat and the same goes for Spence. Let's not forget that Ugas defeated Pacquiao while Spence haven't had the hard time.
2511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 15, 2022, 03:35:53 PM
I share the same view, this fight won't happen this year just like what they first forecasted it because in the first place, if they want to make the fight happen then both camps should've done the right thing and wouldn't make the discussion so long. Maybe it's time for Crawford to face another boxer while their discussion between Spence's camp is blurry.

Crawford might be the first one to fight in super welter because I heard Spence have his mandatory fight if this won't happen.
I read some articles about this and it's interesting to see some ex-boxers talking about it like Bradley said a while ago who said the same thing because they won't be fighting this year.
And I think this is quite reasonable because even though there will definitely be some hype about this that will be raised but when you see that it is now at the end of 2022 then indeed the opportunity to fight for this year is a little difficult and maybe next year it can still happen if one of the camps does not avoid it. again Grin

Actually about this fight my expectations were too high and I had too much hope so that it was destroyed and I personally feel disappointed, but indeed this happened because of my expectations so that when they decided not to fight it was difficult for me to force.

There's not enough time for training anymore, so this fight is not gonna happen this year, however, it would be better if we will know when it will happen so our effort of hyping the fight won't be wasted. As a fan, we like to see this undisputed fight, both fighters are great, so it's definitely a great entertainment for the fans, they just have to agree on the split, or they should not be afraid to risk their undefeated record.

Well they have been teasing us of a November date and this is as early when this thread was open by the OP. And yet, in several months, nothing solid had happen, except like agreement in terms but in seems only verbal. So there is nothing concrete, so they will continue to tease us with this fight. Not sure if the problem is the split, maybe one corner (Spence), doesn't want this fight, in my opinion. Or they will wait till they see Crawford performance is going downhill.

What I'm curious about is why does Crawford still holding on to this fight? It's almost clear that the opposite camp is playing games on him to make their chances on winning go higher, in my opinion, Crawford must fight another opponent while this undisputed fight is not on play.
2512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 14, 2022, 01:06:22 PM
Agree with that, it seemed like the consequence is very light, it was a clear violence, he should be suspended at a very least. Well, that's how NBA works,  the system is not fair as it favors more to players whom they think is very valuable to a team.
It is. I thought they are clear about how strict they are with the rules, but it seems like they are short on this one case about Draymond Green.
Anyway, he will be back in the roster, and it was said in reports that him and Poole already talked. I wish there won't be another incident like this and Green have learned his lesson. There will be eyes everywhere and he should be careful about his sudden uncontrollable anger.

The Warriors can't afford to suspend Green especially now that there's not much time in his contract as they are not that sure if they will really give him his demands, we cannot deny that Green is one of the vital players of their roster and plays a huge part in their center's defense so it's somehow expected that they will just give him a light punishment because of that reason. But that said, they are also neglecting Poole's situation, they have already talked but I think Poole is not forgiving him because of that especially his family.

2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 14, 2022, 12:02:48 PM
If Loma is back to his championship form. Who is your bet between Loma and Haney? Are you still confident that Loma can be victorious over the younger champion who owns all the belts?

Same with you, I will still have Loma to win, but it will be a very tough fight because Haney too is great and have the skills. But Loma's ring IQ and experience and this variety of arsenals might be hard for Haney to counter and offset.

Rumors said that the style of Loma is good enough to beat Haney but of course, that is just a rumor and needs to be proven in the ring.

That is why we believed that their future fight will be interesting to see because we think that Lomachenko might be the one who will give the current undisputed boxer a hard time but as of now, that will remain as a speculation and a rumor as we haven't saw them sharing a ring yet.

Yes, style wise, I think Haney will be a big challenge for Loma and we will see that both of this great boxers will elevated their game if they wanted to win big in they collide in the future.

And again, Loma could be the favorite but I still think the Haney will have a lot of backers in this fight. So it will be like 60/40 in favor of Loma and I wouldn't be surprised if the odds turns out to be 50/50 as well.

I'm already excited and looking forward to see their fight soon but that is not yet guaranteed because both of the named boxer still have their own respective fight to begin with, Loma is looking a good comeback while Haney is looking forward to duplicate his victory last time against Kambosos. Though, I really think that Kambosos will not and cannot make a difference this time.
2515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 14, 2022, 11:42:20 AM
I hope he quick recovery back and goes to the exhibition fight as the planing. I heard Tyson Fury was also interested to meet him but the problem is the age between them is too far. if happens, seems like an unfair fight, and Mike possibly lost in 1st round. Many observers say he doesn't need to continue fighting and is better to continue to explore as a Hollywood actor.
It's better that he'll just focus on regaining his health rather than thinking of that exhibition match that he can just pass on to other interesting fights.
He just can pass on it and don't have to think of it anymore because that will affect his mental health and could also affect his recovery period. No need to think of anything else aside from healing at the moment. He's now in his golden age and even though he might say that he's still good and can have a fight after recovering, it's better to have himself on set and do something else.

I think Mike Tyson knows that, he is really getting old and so with the recent both on the hospital, for sure he will have to refocus first on his health and recover in the next couple of months instead of thinking about a potential exhibition fights.

So we will see and just like the rest of you guys, we love to see Mike Tyson in the ring again, but we will have to wait.
Well, I'm good that he's made his legacy and left that on the ring. It's better to see him healthy and enjoy his retirement forever and it's okay for me to not see him anymore in the ring.
Well, it's a different case if he's just standing there and paying respect to the sport and receiving an award or such but not in fighting form anymore.

Same here, Mike Tyson already established his name in the industry and he is also a legendary that can't be forgotten by any boxing fans, even ordinary people knows him. He don't need to prove it again to anyone especially this time that his age is not appropriate to fight anymore even if it's just an exhibition fight.

......
And I have seen bad rumors about a trade too.
Draymond and Wiseman to Atlanta Hawks for Capela and John Collins
That would be a good move for the Warriors management after the incident. I mean the matter may have been contained for now but I doubt this would be forgotten. It may escalate at a later time so I don't think it's ideal to keep them together.

Draymond may be a valuable asset to the team but he's the most replaceable out of the three core.

A good move to avoid a possible altercation in the future but when it comes to their strength, trading Green doesn't benefit the team because they won't be having a reliable center anymore. Joe Lacob and Bob Myers also spoke about the altercation, they are just considering to give a Green a suspension and not a trade.

Quote
Draymond may be a valuable asset to the team but he's the most replaceable out of the three core.

Because he is the oldest and his age figure might affect the team but as I said, the franchise is not looking to trade him without getting a reliable replacement, so it's safe to assume that he will stay remain a Warrior for now.

Draymond plays a strong role on the team, but he's also a pretty huge liability.  As he's aged his shooting has gotten worse, making him a much less dangerous player.  I think they've got a good up and coming center in Wiseman, so I think they could stand to lose Draymond.  The problem is that he's making a ton of money and wants to make more, and everyone knows he would be much less valuable on any other team because of the way the Warriors harness his unique skillset.  Honestly, even without the incident they'd probably be better off trading him and trying to find someone else to set screens before he's completely worthless on the trading block.  As it is I don't see them getting much more than a few draft picks from the Lakers next year in a sign and trade.  Even then he'll be Westbrook part II.

Yes, Draymond Green is no doubt plays a huge role on the team's defense and offense, but that is already a history and a story because his situation now is much different when he is still an asset on the team. He cannot possibly outsmart the franchise by threatening them to leave the team if he cannot have what he wanted, these days, Green is not a loss if he will decide to leave. The team is prioritizing the future generations that is looking hot recently just like how the other teams in the league would do.

I think there are fight that is being sanction for 10 rounds, specially young prospects like 10 fights or less. But as far as the gloves goes, I remember Manny loving the Cleto gloves or it is Reyes gloves, both weight but the difference is that one is a puncher gloves and then the others to protect the hands or something like that.

So I guess the boxing organizations really done everything to protect the fighters in a brutal knockout, but inevitable that they really punch so hard that it can damage their opponent for good.

Well, certainly the gloves thing is something additional, for us it is more exciting that they have light gloves, because the speed of the blows is much greater, and if we could talk about great things that would make boxing bigger and with more options to have emotions in the fans, if they change the gloves to be lighter I think it would attract more people, but the bad thing is that blows like that, it's like you say, would cause permanent damage to the person, however I know what that is, because in part when it comes to boxing those gloves are somewhat softer that they don't hurt, in Hapkido the gloves are softer, and I know that sometimes they do do some damage.
Fewer rounds for the beginners until they earned enough experience and ready for 10 and 12 rounds.

I saw it before, they weigh the boxers boxing gloves. So they are in the same weight. Cleto Reyes was very popular before. Muhammad Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Pacquiao and many Mexicans wear it because it is harder. But I don't see anymore boxers using Cleto Reyes. Many boxers now want to use gloves that can protect their hands more. Mayweather too wears gloves that can add protection to his fragile hands. Rival is what I can see most often, I think it is a new brand. Loma uses that Rival gloves.

That might do but that won't guarantee safety, researchers are still digging what to do to reduce the chances of these incidents. There are some overhauls in the industry way back 1980 and established a 10-round fight but as years goes by, it was again back to a 12-round fight.

Cleto Reyes from Mexico are quite famous in the early 2000-2010 because they said that it was so comfortable that boxers tend to forgot that they are wearing gloves but now, boxers tend to choose Grant gloves and Everlast more than Cleto as it gives both protection from their knuckles and it also weigh lighter.

I think he is now ready to fight a real champion as he already have two tune up fights where he won. Though it's a real fight but we know his opponents are not on his level, his promoter has to give him a chance to fight a better challenge, those two names that are mentioned are sure a great challenge for him.
And if I remember it right, Garcia is really aiming for Davis. He keeps on sending an indirect message using his social media account, it will be decided once both fighters are inside the ring. I like to see if how Garcia will throw solid combinations in case he creates an opening. The kid has a killing KO punch, but on the other hand, we are talking about Davis here who also has that same or can say much upper level.

Not to go far with my speculation, Haney and Kambosos will be waiting for whoever wins this upcoming fight. He will be the one that will wait for any challenger that will ask for his belt.

Yes, Ryan Garcia is too vocal about that and keeps on teasing Gervonta Davis in his social media accounts, no doubt that he is really looking forward to have a fight against the latter next because he already survived two tune-up fights and it is indeed time for him to face real boxers that is near or higher his caliber. I bet it will be a good sight to see if these two will share a ring and the winner gets a chance to dance with the undisputed boxer.

But Ryan is fighting at around 140 pounds if I'm not mistaken. However he says that he can go to 135 or make that weight if his competition is Davis next.

Yes, he has released a lot of act outside of the boxing, teasing Davis and all of us boxing fans. And hopefully both can settled and fight next year. They already win big next year, and it's time that they really face each other because it seems that this grudge is turning into personal now.

Yes, Ryan Garcia is currently contesting at 140 pounds but fighting in 135 pounds is not much of a big deal as he is also used to fight in lightweight division, in fact he is comfortable to fight anywhere from 130-140 lbs. so we can really say that he can always do such extreme if it's for Davis as that fight will be his key to fight the top guys in 135 pounds.
