2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Hoard Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2022, 02:41:33 PM
It's kind of like saving up fiat? But this time with Bitcoin. I mean, I'm pretty sure you don't tell someone that's saving up that they're "hoarding" their fiat money no? Plus considering it from a long-term perspective, hodling in Bitcoin is a lot better than letting it sit as fiat. You're still saving either way. There's also the issue of not much merchants accept Bitcoin, and even if they do, they're mostly bigwigs and not the general merchants that we transact with everyday.
2502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bounce back to 60k in this year? on: March 18, 2022, 01:58:28 PM
Not impossible, but also unlikely, at least till the end of the year. I'm mostly expecting sideways movement of up to $50k or so, wouldn't really expect any big moves for this year. Maybe at the latter part of the year, but right now is a big no. I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped down to $30k or so, but I don't think it'll go below further than that, maybe some random big spikes here and there but it would ultimately average out to $45-50k levels. If you're looking to make profit, do shorts, you should be able to profit rather nicely if you read the market correct.
2503  Economy / Speculation / Re: How these events will affect crypto market? on: March 18, 2022, 01:47:07 PM
Do DCA if you're unsure, though tbf we're all unsure so you'd probably either do that, not do it, or go for that 50/50 chance of losing your money. Honestly just spread your assets around to what you think would be affected by those specific events, though it being specific ig makes it hard to pinpoint exactly what to do in the long term, though shorting it should give you a chance of profiting well if you were able to read the market properly. Just do shorts if you're relying on events such as these to happen, speaking for the long term, you wouldn't really give a damn most of the time.
2504  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic crisis its good on: March 18, 2022, 04:36:42 AM
You do know it's a "crisis" for a reason right? At this point, you're calling it "good" for your individual purpose since you have the financial capability to take advantage of the said crisis to profit, though I don't think stuff being cheap would actually happen. Also wouldn't real estate actually rise in price rather than decrease? In the end, I still don't think it's a situation you can take advantage of, and even if you did, I highly doubt there wouldn't be repercussions for it. Never in a way is an increase in homeless workers and poverty something "good".
2505  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal started working in Ukraine on: March 17, 2022, 11:35:42 PM
I'm rather curious though, who gave in? Paypal for Ukraine's tax demands or Ukraine regulators? I have to agree though, with Paypal waiving the fees till the end of June, I don't think crypto will actually be able to fight over being the one used by their citizens. That is, unless, they're investors of sorts, which would naturally mean they'd have funds in crypto. Not to mention that Paypal would make the process much easier since I reckon most people know how to use it, unlike crypto.
2506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: March 17, 2022, 02:02:21 PM
If other people don't care about your personal data, then what does it matter if they obtain it? Other people have stated that they do not want their personal information obtained. This is the biggest debate of all time. I believe that as technology advances, we will be forced to divulge more and more of our personal information to third parties. This is similar to the situation in China, where all of their citizens' personal information is collected and used for the greater good. No idea how they will handle our data with this, but I am hoping that they will use it for the betterment of the community.
But at the same time, it wouldn't be all that odd for services that provide at the very least pseudo-anonymity to actually pop out, just like how Bitcoin was released in 2010. What centralization offers is more on the side of convenience at the cost of storing your info (which is understandable imo), but if the general process or technology improves the way where processing of info or stuff like that can be done as easy as centralized stuff does, then it will surely happen.

I still don't think gambling would go out of it though. It's always going to have that centralized gambling area and a non-centralized (black market) ones.
2507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever JOMO? on: March 17, 2022, 12:32:04 PM
I've stopped experiencing "missing out" on any investment after I started DCA'ing. Oh, the joy of not having to think of what to do and where to invest has made my life so much easier. Ik it wouldn't return as much profit as people who actively look for new investments, but in the first place, I never planned on making trading my main source of income. I have entered a few new investments here and there but since I was one of the early adopters, I never really experienced the dumps that followed after the initial hype, in fact, I profited so I never really felt that. That experience is more of a late investor type of feeling I think?
2508  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blockchain Casinos - Consumer's Choice! on: March 17, 2022, 06:50:43 AM
I'm going for Roobet here, though it seems like the pool is kinda low? Might be better to idk, split the votes into two processes, one where users are allowed to add casinos on their own then part two would be you canvassing for the top idk, 10-15 casinos then doing another vote with only those choices allowed. That way the voting process is more open to a lot of casinos and opens up a lot more for competition. Probably also allow users to vote twice or so, not a requirement but just an option so that people who use multiple casinos could vote for them.
2509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: March 17, 2022, 12:47:39 AM
There's no such thing, it's like asking the secret of a famous restaurant about their good food or something. Any guides about trading, or signals, or whatnot are honestly just the same as you predict what the market would do all on your own. It might even be to your own detriment if you were to choose to follow whatever guides or signals they say. You're honestly better of trying to study on your own. You'd probably have a better experience spending your time with that instead of looking for those.
2510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 16, 2022, 11:16:29 AM
The parents are responsible to educate their children about gambling before they discover it by themselves. This way, even your child is expose in gambling, he/she will become aware of the negative effect of it. But every kid has their own behavior and it depends on our parenting style. I think its better to explain it to them instead of waiting before they discover it on their own and become curious.
And it isn't even only applicable to educating children. It's literally an idea that could help people control others in a way that could benefit them by letting them know what they're actually avoiding. You can't exactly say to avoid item x just because, at least let the person understand what it entails or what item x even does. It's a simple strategy to educate people and yet it still escapes their minds to actually do it. Leaving explanations behind could be deadly. Even introducing it to their child themselves may be the better option in some cases.
2511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to go in crypto lets leave fiat cutrency on: March 15, 2022, 11:23:37 AM
Yea no, that's a dumb idea. Even if crypto adoption was to increase, I still think fiat being left behind wouldn't really happen, or well, the government wouldn't exactly let it happen. Yes, Crypto adoption may help in trying to make usage of crypto in most expenditures happen, but in the end the centralized fiat would probably be improved upon and still be a top option when you consider convenience in the future. Not to mention that in the current scene of things, merchants who accept Bitcoin are way too little, not to mention most of them are big companies instead of the daily necessities type of stores.
2512  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine to launch NFT in remembrance of Russian invassion on: March 15, 2022, 12:07:04 AM
Still rather against the idea of NFTs, though that might just be because of how the hype originally killed the idea of what an NFT could be. Still, I reckon I can accept these kinds of NFTs, they are a historical kind of NFT after all, plus if it helps them, even if I hate it, I'd still push for the idea since it is a big help for the country itself. Whether it's for remembrance or funds really, both reasons are good enough imo for people to accept them starting this kind of project. Hoping for the best for them.
2513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LTC CASINO NOT paying winnings. on: March 14, 2022, 07:05:40 AM
How long was the time of you winning the jackpot, your account is locked, you being replied to by the game provider and the last time support contacted you? Cause honestly I'd probably give them a week at max, 3, 4 days at the minimum to check the issue out. Never experienced it so I'm just giving general numbers that most people wait for, just keep the communications up with the support team so that you're updated with what's happening, for all we know there may be more checks happening.

Additionally, assuming that the game provider checked "your" game with that reply may be hasty. Who knows, the casino may be holding the data for their own checking first, before sending it to the provider. In that case, you asking the provider and them telling you everything is done isn't wrong, but your situation isn't in those returned data.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in METAVERSE on: March 14, 2022, 05:11:18 AM
But my intensity is about gambling in the metaverse. Did you think about it? What are your thoughts on gambling in the metaverse world, where you and a friend are playing at a table, but it's online, and you're sitting next to each other, but you're from different countries? Isn't it sound cool? Well, it felt cool to me. I don't know if this type of site exists or not, but in the future there will definitely be a gambling world in the metaverse. And I really want to experience that. I hope that technology comes soon.
That's how most tables of casinos work online though. If you're talking about the experience of seeing something different, well, it's mostly on the part of how the site portrays it or what medium they'd use, e.g, VR, 2d, or just straight-up flat with only names visible. I still don't think it's going to be a big thing really, I'd rather see the idea used in other types of games that would heighten the experience such as fps, mmos and stuff like that (though tbh, it's mostly the VR aspect and nothing else that would be added). Gambling? Nah. Could be a nice addition, but that's it, it's not a game-changer.

And I swear, every time someone mentions metaverse, It's literally just Minecraft.
2515  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DUELBITS.COM STOLE 545$ FROM ME PROOF on: March 13, 2022, 11:53:02 PM
Hello

I have final proof this site is complete scam.

I made a deposit for 544 usd to bet to place a bet on a spefic sports game.

They blocked my bet so i tried to withdrawal and they blocked my withdrawal and said if I did not bet they would take my money because it was against they policy.

Then said I said if  they raise my limits i would love to bet and told them i wanted to bet  and then they said we lowed you limits on purpose and we wont raise it.

So they forced me to bet to or they would steal my money and not let me withdrawal.

Very simple they are a scam.

And they say its against there policy but its not in there TOS.

They just want to force me play till i loose. They never say how much i need to bet it just up to them.
Okay the only complaint here really is that they didn't let you incerase your limits, which lead to you trying to withdraw. But THAT action is against their TOS, which can clearly be read here:
https://duelbits.com/aml
To quote:
Quote
After a user deposits funds to Duelbits using any depositing option provided by the company, except CS:Go Skins, there is a minimum percentage of the amount that must be wagered until a withdrawal for the said funds is requested, otherwise the company reserves the right to ask for any additional KYC documentation and freeze the user’s funds until the KYC requirement is fulfilled.
Now I couldn't find the "percentage" needed from there, maybe people who've experienced or seen it could tell (I didn't see it or didn't really take notice of it). So really, it's just you OP that didn't properly look at their TOS. Maybe you could've tried to do the KYC requirements they need, if that was okay with you anyway. Though I guess the opportunity is gone now.
2516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin VS Oil VS Russia VS Ukraine on: March 13, 2022, 10:16:58 AM
It doesn't, well, at least if it is going to, hasn't affected the market yet. I honestly don't think it even is going to impact the market, even if it would, it'd be rather negligible. The biggest impact it could've had should've happened prior to or at the start of the war, and seeing nothing has really changed, I don't think it did anything. The market movement is still the general steady movement it has done in the past few weeks, it's the market sentiment itself (which may or may not include the war issue, but it certainly isn't alone on that).

Are the government going to also sanction exchanges and wallet owners?
Maybe, if they see that crypto has a big enough impact to affect the situation in Russia, though it won't likely happen since crypto is more of a personal thing.
2517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Will NFT be the reason for a massive boost in gambling in the near future? on: March 12, 2022, 01:14:52 PM
I don't think so? I mean if there was going to be the so-called existence of "metaverse" where every nft can be connected, then it isn't really out of the way. Metaverse from what I understood simply acts as a central hub for the different types of games, tokes, services, etc., to be connected and accessible within each other, so a gambling den where you bet NFT's isn't that out of way, after all, if trading could exists within that space, then gambling would probably follow suite.

Though I'm still doubtful if such an existence would ever come really. Honestly, all of this is just hype imo, I still don't see how NFT's are being a thing.
2518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can the CEX affect the bitcoin price negatively? on: March 12, 2022, 08:37:32 AM
Well, we use DEX then. I don't think it's that much of an issue, VPN's are a thing and should let you access exchanges if they were banned by your local ISP's (though it may result in a ban if you get found out, but still, being careful can bypass that), and if you don't want to do that, as I said earlier, DEX should still be easily useable. Plus, if they were to sanction CEX because of wanting to sanction Russia themselves from getting their money out, then sanction everything, from buying gold, stocks, other fiats, etc., otherwise, it's just a useless endeavor.
2519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 12, 2022, 04:28:18 AM
If only parents did a good thing to their kids, the kids will also do the same but as you said it cant be long-lasting, I think I can agree with that. It's not only our parents that we see around us so we can also get other/different kinds of influences including the bad ones.
Not necessarily, parents aren't the only influence out there so even if they do good, if the kid was influenced outside by a bigger factor, then they could inevitably end up doing something contrary to what their parents were trying to teach. And in all honesty, with the existence of the internet, parents' influence can be at an absolute minimal most of the time since kids are learning on their own at a rapid pace.

Actually if they really blame gambling in this case it will only make themselves even more wrong.
Agree. An activity is not the one that's supposed to be blamed, it's always the person who does the activity, and then the person who influenced the prior person to do said activity. It's like blaming a knife for existing so that was why a killer was able to kill someone.
2520  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 11, 2022, 02:17:55 PM
I didn't really follow that thread and I might have missed some discussion. so, does this mean that the bet drake made on SuperBowl was really just a publicity stunt just like what the other members suspected?
Unlikely, I guess. Drake is someone well known for being an avid fan of gambling, I reckon he can gamble away whatever he spent with his own money, and I guess that topic opened up (if it wasn't already) discussions to partner up with Drake himself. Plus I don't think he needs to stoop that low to nab a partnership with Stake, he's a big name himself, plus with his gambling tendencies, as long as he was noticed then I'm pretty sure he could have opened up discussions himself.

Glad for stake though, Drake should be a pretty good choice to promote their casino.
