2521  Other / Meta / Re: Merit System Matters on: August 21, 2018, 11:08:01 AM
Does Merit really help the community or greed people use it to have more profit.
A big YES for both. Merit System already change this forum for good because it kills the spirit of those members who serve as as the cancer here — the shiity posteres. Searching for result? Then look around the forum, it's more peaceful now compare before. Well, I didn't expect you to realize this since you're new here but believe me it's true Smiley (welcome to the forum by the way).
But unfortunate to say, opportunists still find a gateway to avoid this system. Desperate low rank users tend to buy merits from several greedy high rank members, this is the reality but we can't easily provide actions upon this because it happens in a secret manner. So if you found someone guilty of doing this stuff then you should report him to the mods, that l's the least thing you can do Smiley.
I hope their will be new implemented rules that really help the forum and not use as advantaged to have more profits and fair for all.
Merit System is already fine (IMO). If you think of something better than this (make sure that it's feasible) then feel free to share Smiley.
2522  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nabiktima ka na ba ng salitang HOLD!?? on: August 21, 2018, 08:45:46 AM
Kunwari nag invest ka sa isang coin na hindi mo naman ni research at na hype ka lang tapos nag dump, tapos sinalo mo naman , pagkatapos mong sinalo mas lalong nagdump na naman so on and so forth salo ka ng salo. Kakasalo mo, sasabihin mo pang the POWER OF HOLD?
At the cased being said, Tama ka, itigil mo na yang paghodl mo kasi you already missed a lot of opportunities to dump and we're not sure whether your coin's price will recover or not. Pero this misery will not happen in the first place kung naging mas wais ka na investor — investor na di basta basta nagpapaimpluwensya at marunong manaliksik.
Well, the risk is always there. Ganun talaga siguro, volatile ang crypto so 'di mo talaga basta basta masasabi kung magpa-pump pa ba ito in the future or not.
This is right if we assume the worst case scenario but this is not necessary either. Di naman lagi kaakibat ng isang investor ang salitang "cutting loss" kasi may kakilala naman ako na 'di dumadaan sa ganitong point. Ibig sabihin lang na kung mas magiging matyaga at strategic ka sa bawat galaw mo then you are free from this.
2523  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you wish to have physical notes, coins for bitcoin? on: August 21, 2018, 06:02:44 AM
How it would be when we have a physical bitcoin currency note? Do they already exist? If created, will it impact the market growth and loose it's value in the market?  Any thoughts?

No, I never ever wish something like that. How silly to think that a virtual and intangible asset like bitcoin will also have its own paper money or coin Grin. Now, if it happens (though it's impossible), what would be its great difference compare to fiat money? Nothing anymore of course. Btc's or any crypto's uniqueness by means of being virtual yet still have a value makes them special, and I think it would be better if it will remains Smiley.

Anyway, there are still existing tangible coins such as btc, eth, ltc or even doge also but it has no value and only intended to made for memorabilias.
2524  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks drops hint at plans to accept Bitcoin on: August 21, 2018, 04:22:05 AM
Though I'm not a total Starbucks lover since I like it only when I need to stay awake all night, I'm still happy with this news because this is another proof that Btc is now expanding its applications in the food industry. I just feel bad because it seems this is implemented first in the U.S. I hope that it will be implemented to its other branches all over the world (particularly here in the Philippines) very soon because I can't wait to buy my first Starbucks Milk Tea Panna Cotta Cream Frappuccino Blended Beverage using btc Smiley.
2525  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Unregulated market is illegal or legal? on: August 21, 2018, 02:58:37 AM
I also live in a third world country (unfortunately) and my answer to your question is in between — not illegal nor legal (just my opinion only). Here in our country, there's no concrete law which says that usage of cryptocurency is ban/illegal. That's the reason why we can still be able to engage with it freely, we have no fear simply becuse we're clear from any violations. I just appreciate the fact that our government was not too strict but also still concern for crypto investors like since they are always giving warnings and advisories before using this.

Furthermore, if you think that you can easily escape punishments assuming that you do crime stuffs using crypto like pyrammiding scams or extortion then think again. Our Republic Act 10175 also known as Cybercrine prevention Act is our solution for that.
2526  Other / Meta / Re: [Survey] Who has who on its Ignore List? (Second try) on: August 20, 2018, 11:06:33 AM
As the title mentioned it. A thread where everyone can post its Ignore List to the public.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=%userID%;sa=ignprefs

After I've read this thread, I also went to my profile info to check my ignore list though I'm confident that no one is in there. But then I get shocked when I found out that there's someone in my ignore list Grin. Hmm, I never ignore users before as far as I remember so maybe what happened is just an accident, maybe I accidentally clicked the ignore button on his account from one of his posts (by the way, his name is joinfree). Well, I fixed the problem already, I now removed his name on my list.

Actually I'm not into ignoring co-members here in the forum even how bad his posting habits because it such a waste of my time and besides I believe that there is always a room for improvement. If I feel bad on someone's post in terms of it's grammar, thought or attitude then I just scroll down and go back into my business, as simple as that. I am just primarily concern with shittyposters and not with poor quality posters.
2527  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Lists of Open Bounty Campaigns For Quality Posters on: August 19, 2018, 10:02:53 AM
YOLOdice.com Signature campaign had free slots to fill in also, here's the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1755689.0

You can add it to your list sir cabalism13 if you want. But here's a note, nag apply ako dito before and I, as well as the recent applicants, got no response from the campaign manager. But nonetheless, this was a reputable signature campaign and in fact matagal na 'tong running so wala dapat ikabahala ang mga kapwa Filipino natin na gustong mag apply dito (yun nga lang kailangan mo maging patient sa paghintay).
2528  Economy / Economics / Re: Newbies panic & Old timers smile, when the Bitcoin price take a dip. on: August 19, 2018, 08:14:58 AM
Very well said dude, you nailed it Smiley. That's what I'm always talking about when random people (other friends of my friends) or even some of my classmates approach me and ask about earning btc here inside the forum. That "it's a forum for crypto enthusiasts and not an online job site". If some of you think that I don't want to share this way of earning crypto to others — in short, being selfish — then you're all wrong. I just don't want them to get motivated by money when they enter here, they should see the real essence of this forum which is being a knowledge source and only treat signature/bounty canpaigns as bonuses. Because if money motivates them the most in entering here then sooner or later they'll become greedy and might also become a pain in this forum at worst case scenario.
2529  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paraan Upang makapag Trade ng swabe sa Mobile Phone on: August 19, 2018, 12:56:49 AM
Jerald

Wala pa namang negative feed back ,best app so far sa pagtretrade. Pwede mo ding i review ang comments ng users nito sa playstore ,Graded 4.7 star ang apps na ito sa Playtore
Hmm, seems trustworthy app naman ito so try ko subukan next time. Matagal na kasi talaga akong nagpaplano mag crypto trading dahil sa mga naririnig kong successful stories sa mga master ko (mga nagturo sa akin), medyo 'di pa nga lang buo ang loob ko and nagwoworry ako about technical aspects like the computer and exchange to be used as well as kung gagamit ba ako ng trading sigmals but since pwede naman pala magtrade though smartphone only then I find it less hassle and more convenient in a sense na pwede ka magtrade wherever. Konting research na lang siguro and ready na ako Smiley.

By the way, meron na po ba ditong nakagawa ng account sa coins Pro? Itatanong ko lang kung pwde rin ba through mobile yun?
2530  Other / Meta / Re: reCAPTCHAs on: August 18, 2018, 04:29:14 PM
When you use the TOR browser or even any VPN then usually you will have this difficulties.
For me, I still don't get any hassle on logging in even while using VPN. Because based on my experience, I'm just spending less than 5 mins. only everytime I log in here — from filling up the username and password up to solving captchas.

Note: disregarding the fact that I have an unstable internet connection sometimes.
(Always stay logged in). You will not need to login again. Of-course you want to make sure that your PC is protected and no one else (untrustworthy) is using the PC.
@OP ~ if you are tired of this then do what sir mdayonliner said, that was very effective. That's what I always do and I guarantee that you will now be free from those annoying captchas for real. Here's a tip, aside from not allowing others to use your smartphone/computer, never ever also log in your account in a computer rental shop. That was a very risky move since you can't assure that there's no keylogger installed to those computers.
2531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: God save Crypto on: August 18, 2018, 10:06:19 AM
Honestly, I don't know either. Me too, I haven't heard yet a very intriguing FUD which may be capable of doing a lot of damage so I'm still puzzled 'til now. Maybe people are now losing interest to btc and panic sellers made the situation worse, what do you think? (Just my own opinion)
Is our greed killing crypto and blockchain technology in whole?
How do you say so? For me it's the opposite dude. Crypto shine and survives because of our greed. When there's a huge dropped on btc's price then people tend to panic buy in order to increase their holdings and. And when the price skyrockets, of course people will sell and the cycle continues. In our current situation, investors supposed to buy coins even more due to its cheap price which leads to price recovery. But the question is, why isn't happening?
2532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's stop comparing Bitcoin to Ethereum or any other Cryptos on: August 18, 2018, 02:10:39 AM
Of course! Because btc is definitely incomparable to alts though they are both cryptocurrency. If we compare it to the wolves, alts are just the weaklings/followers and btc is the leader of the whole pack — also a wolf but that fact makes him a special one.
People sell their cryptos just because they heard that a particular coin is better than the coin they have. To add to these, I believe dumping of crypto coins is also as a result of this kinda comparisons made by people.
Actually, that could be a factor. And I just feel pity for those kind of investors because they are the one who are dragging themselves down. They do not show strong confidence into their holdings, easily get influenced by the external surrounding and bad decision makers as well Sad. They are just like digging their own graves Grin (just kidding) so I think much better for them to stop or take a break because they are not yet prepared.
2533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying Bounty With TOKEN or ETH which will be better? on: August 18, 2018, 12:02:33 AM
As it seems to me everything is banal and simple, people are afraid that the coin will fall much down and therefore sells at a price slightly higher than indicated on the ICO/ I understand investors, but I do not understand bounty hunters. Why sell coins all and lower the price to the floor.
In the bounty hunters' perspective, I'm pretty sure that the majority want a payment in terms of eth (or any much stable and popular coin in the market) simply because getting profits from tokens is very time consuming, you need to wait for its appearance in the exchange and also wait for its pump before dumping. Another one, eth could be much profitable for them since the price of ICO token may drastically fall down right after getting listed in the exchange.

On the devs side, I think this kind of payment set up is very hard to attain because of lack of funds. What would you expect to an ICO program under development? Grin That's the reason why they offer their own coin as a payment. And besides, if they don't push bounty hunters to use their own coin then who will become responsible for creating the hype? No one or only few at least which will probably result to failure.
2534  Other / Meta / Re: Make restrictions for juniors members on: August 17, 2018, 05:19:20 PM
Some users have more than 10 accounts and they participate in signature companies
What!? Is this real? Well, if this type of users do really exist then there's a big possibility that only 2 to 3 of their total accounts run in a good condition because maintaining 10 accounts would be definitely a hard task. Yeah! More accounts means more chances of having multiple sig campaigns but the probability of getting all hired also decreases because of the quality requirement. So for me, having too much accounts is not an efficient way to gain more profits.
Member - 15 merit
Full Member - 110 merit
Senior Member - 270 merit
Hero Member - 520 merit
Legendary Member - 1040 merit

This is also a good way to handle a campaign, bounty managers should  make it like this.
Indeed. Mods can't do this alone, campaign managers should also help them to fight the spammy and shitty posters (particularly the low ranked ones) by requiring the forum members to meet first the merit requirement  before applying so that all of the applicants are even more filtered and only the good ones could enter the campaign. A win to win situation after all — it will result to a healthy ICO advertisement and the crappy posters are now easy to eradicate at the same time since they now feel demotivated.
2535  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, Who really wins? on: August 17, 2018, 10:45:59 AM
Why we need to have winner? bitcoin has been declared as the king of crypto's so there's no need for us to argue on who's the winner or what coin's the loser.
"who wins?"
what does that even mean? you mean among altcoins and bitcoin? that is not even a competition! they are there to fill the pockets of traders with more bitcoin...
He wants to start an argument but it caught my attention as well. I think I've seen the same thread before.
Hmm, in my own point of view, I think he is not pertaining to the comparison of btc and alts. I guess he's asking about who is on the favorable side of the current negative situation, the smart buyers or the fearfull sellers? I say so because he said "who" not "which". Well, I just based on the grammatical structure of his post and don't really know what he really wants to convey so there's a chance that maybe I'm wrong too. Smiley

If my interpretation was right then I definitely go with the people who serve this dip as an opportunity to buy even more because cutting of losses is so impractical. Hodling and waiting patiently is better that that I think.
2536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you trade Bitcoin to buy Altcoins? on: August 17, 2018, 04:38:27 AM
If NEM makes a high on a particular day even by 0.05$ USD, I would make 0.05x10000 = 500$ USD in a day if I sell all my coins at that price.
That is only your gross profit. If you want to know your net profit - the profit left after deductions, then take a look at what sir Silent26 said.

0.05x10000 = 500$ USD - Investment cost.
Just because the price of a particular coin pumps doesn't mean you can now convert it and sell. You should make sure first that its expected converted value is much higher than your capital as much as possible. If you don't keep this in mind then for sure you will get a negative outcome/ loss.

Going back to the topic, it's fine if you will buy alts since they are at cheap price but I don't think it would be a good idea if you will convert your btc in order to do so. You must maintain the value of your bitcoin especially these bloody days so if I were you I'll choose to keep it.
2537  Economy / Speculation / Re: I DON'T CARE IF BTC DECREASES IN PRICE NOW on: August 17, 2018, 01:09:05 AM
I have seen that most people investing now in BTC are afraid of loosing some amount of money when the price declines.
Well, I can say that I do not belong to that "people" you are pertaining simply because I encountered hard times like this before and I get used to it already. I'm not saying that I'm a fearless veteran in crypto world, I'm just patiently waiting and well enlightened on the DOs and DON'Ts in this kind of situation, as simple as that. That's my key to avoid losses.

The word "people" is broad which may be composed of old and new investors. I think much appropriate to use "beginners" because they are the one who really suffers when btc drops due to their carelessness. They are the one who usually panic when suddenly a red flag shows (even though not a huge one) and sell instantly without even thinking if it is the right or not. Oldies don't do the same thing.
I have sat down and realise that no matter how BTC decreases in price I have nothing to loose and I don't care about it because for the past months I joined this forum  have seen much teachings and education from the crypto enthusiast.

I'm a little bit confused. You mean you really don't care if you loose money? If yes then it's so impractical. Dude you can make profits and have a healthy life here in the forum at the same time, remember that Smiley.
2538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never sell my Alts for loss: Prefer to take them to the cemetery! on: August 16, 2018, 10:32:04 PM
As long as I live live I will not sell my Alts at a loss.
It is a shame that Bitches are selling:
It seems that you are a stromg investor and don't get easily influenced by rumors or even emotions of yourself when it comes to buying & selling. Well, that's a good attitude (pretty obvious because I see your strong stance regarding this) but I hope you can still be able to realized whether one of your holdings is a crap coin or not. Crap coins are not worth fighting for, sell it now if you have one because it's just a waste of your time and might only upset you in the end. If I were you I will sell my not so important tokens, used the accumulated money for buying eth or any strong alts in the market and wait to pump in the future.
These bitches can’t see 2 years from NOW: Booming!

So are you telling us that you are a fortune teller Grin? Just kidding. No one can predict the future and nothing is at permanent state here in crypto world. The sure thing we can do is adapt the current situation, that's all.
I primarily hold Cardano!
If you strongly believe that coin is worth the risk then go ahead dude, just HODL. But make sure first to have large amount of this coin before going on a long term investment so that you could really feel its profit just in case it pumps in rhe near future. Good luck Smiley.
2539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Really it's a disease!##Crypto maniac!! on: August 16, 2018, 02:20:53 PM
Shocked Huh  ::)The era of 2017 is the era of crypto currency!
I agree with you but just to be clear, that's not the final word my friend Grin. Yeah we all know that btc showed an outstanding performance last year particularly during the -ber months but it doesn't mean that we can't now achieved the same thing this year. Maybe btc beat its ATH before this year ends, who knows?
Everyone try to get it, now it is 2018.. because most of people think if I put my bukcs in crypto project it will definitely make me rich in recent years..as satoshi nakamoto's# BITCOIN revolution!!So they go for a Rush, put their money in different projects
It is all because of the hype produced by btc after its skyrocket. Tendency, others (whether old investor or beginner) will invest more because they anticipate that btc might soar high again this upcoming December and earn even more profits.

This is a good and bad sign at the same time. Good sign in a sense that btc or crypto as a whole is now becoming popular due to the increase of its users and a bad sign in a sense that some of them, especially the newbies, are now frustrated because of losing money. I just feel bad to know that they suddenly jumped in a field with full of hopes but got disappointments in return. Well, it's their fault somehow because they get blinded by "easy money" and didn't pay attention with uncertainties so there's no one to blame but themselves.
cry for CRYPTOs the #CRYPTOMANIAC!!
I will take that as a compliment. At least I'm not addicted in illegal stuffs such as drugs and vices Grin.
2540  Other / Meta / Re: post count issue on: August 16, 2018, 07:39:23 AM
I visited your post history and I see that there's nothing wrong with it (IMO) so I don't think that poor quality of post is the main reason why you are experiencing this.
There's a big chance that other respondents are right, the thread where you posted was deleted that's why your post count is declining. But don't worry too much because this is not an unusual case, it is normal and I'm sure that others (including me) already experienced the same thing Grin.

This kind of scenario is inevitable because cleaning the forum is a part of mod's duties but you can lessen the probability of experiencing this at least. Only post on threads which have are decent and have a sense as well, and prohibit yourself to post on spammy, shitty and mega threads.
