2522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets do pay on: January 26, 2014, 12:06:37 PM
now we should discuss the real way or good way to get btc.

You can buy it.
You can earn it by selling goods (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0) or services (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0).

2524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deleting An Encrypted Wallet on: January 26, 2014, 12:04:27 PM
What about windows 8 installation this folder doesn't exist there

Even thought thread you bumped is older than Windows 8, the second post is correct.

lol...I didn't even notice the thread was so old before you pointed it out.
2525  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is MtGox dying? on: January 26, 2014, 11:49:04 AM
My last BTC withdraw from mtgox was 1 week ago. It was instantaneous ...

The worst problem is USD withdrawals.
People have been waiting for months.
2526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 90 BTC stolen! on: January 26, 2014, 11:43:26 AM
Whoever helps recover the loss will be rewarded with half of the recovered BTC, that is 45 BTC's, I promise.

The chance of getting back your btc is very slim indeed.
Anyway, good luck OP.
2527  Other / Meta / Re: ACTIVITY LEVELS on: January 26, 2014, 11:40:32 AM
I've already looked at the topic with the activity formula but it makes no sense.

Which part makes you confused Huh
2528  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Question on: January 26, 2014, 11:38:31 AM
Why were they lifted?  Because people stopped spamming the boards or something?
because i think 2h and 5 msg is a little bit much for "anti-spam"

The restriction was never that lol.
Where did you get that "2h and 5 meg" from?
2529  Other / Meta / Re: This forum's software is horrible on: January 26, 2014, 11:34:25 AM
I don't get it.
Why OP is complaining about the 360 seconds limit, when he has 83 activity?

I know this thread was created 1 month ago, but even at that moment, OP should not be newbie and should not be restricted by that limit?

 Huh Huh
2530  Other / Meta / Re: Time to Reorientate this Forum towards Cryptocurrencies in general. on: January 26, 2014, 11:28:46 AM
Indeed, and moving all altcoin to just one forum topic made it clear what the identity was. Now it's diluted as a result of altcoin starting to have subforums. Better to just move all altcoin discussion straight to trashcan and be done with.

Agree.
And for those who want to talk about altcoin or dogecoin, they can make their own altcointalk or dogecointalk.
2531  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why MTGOX/BITSTAMP gap increase so much this week? on: January 26, 2014, 11:19:53 AM
It increase so rapidly. Is it a sign that MT is going to bankrupt very soon?

Maybe...
2532  Economy / Economics / Re: mtGox vs btc-e price? on: January 26, 2014, 11:04:42 AM
wow, thanks for the info guys. I'm new to BTC so yep it had me stumped. I never saw the threads talking about it.

I just figured why in HELL would people buy BTC there since it's 100$ more and second question why would people use it if you can't withdraw.
Then yet another question..... why haven't people sued yet?

Why doesn't MT.GOX just die?

It is dying. Just they aren't putting it on their home page. One day we will wake up and there will be nothing there. Just a lot of angry ex-customers owed money (or BTC)

I have been waiting for that day for a long time.
I am so confused why it is still in business lol. Tongue

Just because they were the first. Links from articles to them are still all over the Net. Articles don't disappear unfortunately. Noobs still gravitate towards Gox, knowing nothing of the horrors that await them (ghoulish laugh).

If bitcointalk is the very first result when people search the word "bitcoin" on google, mtgox would probably die then Tongue
2533  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference in exchange rates... on: January 26, 2014, 11:02:46 AM
Also, you might want to sell bitcoins (buy them cheap elsewhere, sell on MtGox, make profit) and wait for several months. Some people do not mind the long wait.

Have you been listening at all? You can't get your money out of gox. They will likely be out of business before they send any international wires. You wanna risk it?

There are some people who have problems getting money from gox. Maybe it is the majority, maybe strong majority. But definitelly not all of them. I do not think gox will get out of business. And no, I do not want to risk it. But someone does.

If people were risking it the price difference between gox and bitstamp wouldn't be growing by the day. Gox has jumped $60 in the last day or so, bitstamp $30. This is not indicative of arbing. This is indicitative of people getting their money trapped in gox.

True.
The price gap used to be around $100, and is now $170.
2534  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Weekly pool and network statistics on: January 26, 2014, 10:41:31 AM
Thanks for the report, organofcorti.

I am surprised to see Discus Fish growing so rapidly for the past months.
Is it indeed a pool? Or is it some sort of private mining farm?
2535  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: what's the most efficient mining hardware available? (bachelor thesis) on: January 26, 2014, 10:34:32 AM
if you take a look at cex.io, you will find people buying 1 GH/s mining contract for 0.043+ btc.

most irrational.

 Undecided

Ironically, cex.io has a built-in calculator showing that people will never get their investment back (not even close), but it seems no one cares about it. Cheesy
2536  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum servers (Map) on: January 26, 2014, 10:29:57 AM
I really liked this idea so spent a few minutes turning this into a dynamic map. This one refreshes the peer list every minute or so and uses the free Maxmind data to geolocate from server IP address.

It is just great.
Thanks for that Smiley

Sorry I can't help much here...
2539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the best way to send Bitcoins? on: January 26, 2014, 10:16:05 AM
Just being tight., I was wondering if there was a way of transferring btc without them taking commission ?

If you are talking about tx fee, you can do it if your tx is a high-priority one.
