2521  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB a decent mining card... on: July 03, 2011, 10:41:39 PM
where are you even located? there's still plenty of 5770 left, but everything above that is sold out in the US for brand new. $120 for an open box 5850 is a deal

if i use 4 5870, would i still need a riser cable with the molex power? i know that's starting to push the limits
2523  Economy / Goods / Re: Thousands of words are worth a picture [Art Prints for BTC] on: July 03, 2011, 08:22:22 AM
hey man this is pretty cool. i'm guessing the things in colors (red, blue, green) are not made of words?
2524  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB a decent mining card... on: July 03, 2011, 08:17:54 AM
with only that much, best you're going to get is a 5770. anything higher, like a 5830 and above are at premium prices right now. just wait about a month for all these flakers to dump their hardware to get a card. good luck finding one
2525  Economy / Goods / [WTB] any reference 5770, 5830, 5850, 5870 on: July 03, 2011, 03:28:40 AM
short and simple, i'm looking for any of the HD5xxx mining cards, but key is reference models. i may also be interested in non-reference designs if price is right. post here or PM me with your offers. i'm located in the US if that helps.
2526  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FOR SALE: PCIe x1 & x16 Extender Cables, Mining Chassis & GPU Dummy Plugs on: July 02, 2011, 07:25:33 PM
i ordered two, and i'm quite impressed with the shipping. i expected to get it like a week later, but i got it in like 2, i think 3 day.

however, i think there's a problem with one of the cables. when using both, one of the GPUs didn't work and i thought it was the motherboard acting up. i took out all the cards and plugged each in one by one and in individual slots, then also tried this with the cable and it turns out one of them had a problem. the other one works great. i'm curious about the lemon rate on these, because stories like what shakaru kinda scares me

2528  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BUY 5970S WITH BITCOINS (Newegg Giftcards for Bitcoins) on: July 02, 2011, 10:49:42 AM
wait i'm a little confused. what does the 5970 have anything to do with this? are you offering to sell this card also? because it's not like it's available to be bought on newegg with giftcards
2529  Economy / Goods / Re: WTT 2 Reference 5870s for 2 69xx 2GB cards on: July 02, 2011, 10:30:22 AM
i'm interested in both of them. if only you posted this earlier... i just sold my barely used XFX unlocked 6950 2gb. i kinda regret it because it was only used for about a week, and these older XFX reference 6950's are now impossible to find  Sad. anyways, just sent you a PM on my offer for both 5870s.
2530  Economy / Goods / Re: My stuff for sale for BitCoins or Real Cash, Xbox, Headphones, X58 Motherboard on: July 02, 2011, 10:21:20 AM
can you please make pictures and font bigger? i can't see either of them, and also the bigger the pics and fonts are, the faster you'll sell  Grin
2531  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Your cards but here is how on: June 29, 2011, 07:29:18 PM
if it's in person, how about you pay in cash when they hand the card over, then you can replace that cash "lost" in your own 4-7 days after you get your own coins. how is this a deal for the seller if they have to give you the card, then wait 4-7 days without a 100% guarantee that you're even going to pay? good luck finding a seller that will actually do this scheme.
2532  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: [WTB] 1366 or 1155 processor, mobo and ram bundle on: June 23, 2011, 08:11:27 PM
hmm i think 15BTC for the whole 1366 processor, board, and memory bundle is a little low. at current BTC value, that's only roughly $210 shipped for everything, when the processor alone is about that much. with that said, i can offer my i7-920, DFI x58 (has 3 pci-e slots for 3 video cards) mATX mobo, and a stick of memory for $300 shipped if you're interested.
2533  Economy / Goods / Re: [BUY] 2x 5830 on: June 23, 2011, 08:00:03 PM
stop lowballing everyone. if you can get one on newegg, then why don't you just go ahead and just grab one then? you make it sound like there's infinite supply of these at dirt bottom prices. so while you wait a long ass time for one at your asking price, you could have been mining during that time if you bought one at regular asking price and made more. good luck waiting forever.
2534  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5870 Users! Clock Speed, Memory, Voltage, SDK and CCC Version, Flags, etc. on: June 23, 2011, 03:39:38 AM
how did you guys get SDK2.1 to work? the latest ATI driver that that compatible with SDK2.1 is 10.4. and when i installed 10.4 with 2.1, i get the error msg "no openCL found" when using GUIminer  Huh
2535  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - updated host address for slush's pool on: June 23, 2011, 01:21:24 AM
for the love of god, will this ever have backup pool support...
you can just set several pools for a single card, but set each pool in different priority with the flags so in case the pool with highest priority goes down, the card will mine for other pools with no slowdown.
2536  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 2.25X Double Trouble [FRESH START!] [GAME JUST STARTED!!!!] on: June 22, 2011, 11:31:41 PM
sorry, i'm a newb, is there anywhere i can read up on this before enter some coins? what is this scheme even called?
2537  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / GUIminer bugs? on: June 22, 2011, 09:20:32 PM
i'm having some problems getting this GUIminer to work. the newest miner won't open on my computer. every time i open, there's a error dialog that pops up saying: "See the logfile C:Users\Username\guiminer\guiminer.exe.log for details", and then the programs just crashes. then once i open that log file to see what's wrong, this is the log:

Quote
ERROR:root:Exception:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "guiminer.py", line 2184, in run
File "guiminer.py", line 1678, in __init__

  File "guiminer.py", line 846, in configure_subprocess_poclbm
  File "guiminer.py", line 645, in device_index
AssertionError

what does AssertationError mean? and how can i fix this?
2538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GUIminer bugs on: June 22, 2011, 09:18:55 PM
yes, of course i've done that. i tried many different AMD drivers and several different versions of GUIminer, reboot each time and get that error every time. i'm thinking some kind of file in my system got corrupted.

hi, since i can't post in Kiv's GUIminer thread, i'm making a new one in the newbie section. the newest miner won't open on my computer. every time i open, there's a error dialog that pops up saying: "See the logfile C:Users\Username\guiminer\guiminer.exe.log for details", and then the programs just crashes. then once i open that log file to see what's wrong, this is the log:
