1861  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) Freedom Girl silver rounds 1oz (BU) x20 total - $22 each on: June 02, 2014, 09:03:20 PM
If these were anything else other than SBSS rounds, I would have bought a couple. The only reason is that Chris Duan is a total douche, a complete sellout to his own ideologies. He's also heavily against bitcoin, understanding very little about the technology but talks a lot of shit about it.

Anyways, do you have any other silver to sell besides SBSS?
1862  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: This guy accidentally sent 800 coins to an old Mt.Gox address - he needs help on: June 02, 2014, 07:42:13 PM
Wow unreal. This isn't the old days where people just carelessly tossed out hard drives that contained thousands of btc. This is the present when each btc is worth someone's weekly wage. If I was moving half a million $ like that, I would quadruple check to make sure everything is lined up. So careless...

I truly hope he can recover this amount. Mt.Cock didn't need their pile of scammed coins to grow.
1863  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.02 BTC . I will give you bonus. on: June 02, 2014, 09:56:36 AM
it's my colateral that you call it service.

Advertising is not considered collateral either. If someone were to give you the btc you've requested, you can take down the advertisement at any moment (or not even put it up in the first place) and just run with the btc loaned.

I'm being realistic with you so you don't waste your time, so I will repeat: you won't get any loans without collateral and interest.
1864  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Two 1 Ounce Silver Coins on: June 02, 2014, 09:33:13 AM
Bummer I saw this a tad late. I would have bought it also. Selling it very near spot price is a good deal. Do you have anymore?

PS - What I hate most about Royal Canadian Mint is that they don't give a shit about milk spots. All their coins are notorious for developing those ugly blotches, hence I don't own a single Canadian coin.
1865  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.02 BTC . I will give you bonus. on: June 02, 2014, 09:27:43 AM
Hi, it looks like you want to borrow btc in return for advertising. This seems more like a service since you're not providing collateral or interest on the loan.

You may want to try the services subforum, you might get better hits there. No one in this lending section will give a loan without collateral and/or interest, especially for an account that just registered to ask for money.

No.. i think advertisment is an interest.

No, advertising on your blog is a service. Different people will value this differently. You see value in this, but personally I see zero value in this advertising space, hence I will not give the loan.

Now if you were to borrow 0.02btc and paid back 0.03btc, that's more objective. The 50% interest value is not disputable on how much it's worth.

1867  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PCI-E wires on psu very warm on: June 02, 2014, 05:34:13 AM
No, that is not good. The wires are insulated, so if you can feel that much heat through the insulation, then the actual copper wire is much hotter on the inside. Check the connectors of both the antminer and PSU cable to make sure none of them are melted or "browned". If you know how to replace the wire, then put in some thicker gauge ones.
1868  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: June 02, 2014, 05:28:33 AM
As of this post, this is my official resignation from this campaign. Below are some constructive criticisms for improvement, as well as the reasons for the resignation:

1) organization - allowing an unlimited number of members to join the campaign could cause it to balloon to the point where it's hard to manage, and track all members. This campaign eventually got more and more unorganized. Perhaps you can delegate some specific task to others, or hire an extra person or two to help with management.

2) Not paying - this doesn't personally affect me, but some members have been posting with your ad in their sig for weeks, and never got paid.

3) Not paying the correct rate - Your OP was advertised a certain rate, payout was a different one. There's nothing wrong with paying a lower rate, as long as you're upfront about it.

4) communication - especially the past couple days. I'm not saying you need to be on 24/7, but pop in once a day and members of your campaign will have more confidence. Lack of presence will just result in the same questions being asked over and over. If you end up paying for this week's payout, then all these pages and pages of useless complaints just eats up your paid posts since none of them are anything meaningful.

Good luck with the rest of your campaign. I'd be more than happy to come back if things improve from where they are now.

Cheers,

lol that poll... OP is a simpleton. Not only does it have no relevance, it makes absolutely no sense.
1871  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $680. So obvious this is a pump. on: June 01, 2014, 08:30:11 PM
it pisses me off only becuase I haven't got $250k worth of coins to 'play' about with

So you're mad because you don't have enough money? I'm raging right now because I'm not a billionaire. I'm also pretty pissed off because I didn't win the lottery 3 times in a row.
1872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshi is either dead or in prison on: June 01, 2014, 04:59:38 AM
I'm pretty sure Theymos can come close to finding out a lot about Satoshi. Back in the early days, there were many PM's exchanged between satoshi and Gavin Andresen on this very forum. All Theymos has to do is check logs and IP's of Satoshi's account.
1873  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to buy 2 BTC through escrow on: May 31, 2014, 07:55:36 PM
I'm located in the US. But why does it matter? You already bought the 2btc, unless you need more?

Btw, you might want to edit out the name of the person you just mentioned. Don't every put a real name in a public post, especially since it's not yours.
1874  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to buy 50€ of bitcoins by paypal on: May 31, 2014, 07:50:17 PM
Coinbase allows you to use credit card I believe. It's actually one of the verification steps when you link your credit card. There are higher fees though, compared to direct bank transfer.
1875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price if Amazon Accepts Bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 07:34:59 PM
Finally some non-bears arrived to back me up  Cool

If btc price shoots up within 24 hours of Amazon announcing they would accept bitcoin, how do you know for certain it was amazon that caused the price hike? If you do win the bet, how will you prove Amazon was the sole cause of price increase? Sure in the very long run, it could promote btc and make the general public more aware, hence increase the money supply in btc, but within 24 hours is too short, and this time frame is meaningless.
1876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price if Amazon Accepts Bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 09:49:51 AM
Roll Eyes

Would you be willing to place a 0.5 BTC bet?

If the price goes up during the 24 hour period after Amazon announces they are accepting bitcoin, you give me 0.5 BTC.

If the price goes down or remains exactly unchanged during the 24 hour period after Amazon announces they are accepting bitcoin, I give you 0.5 BTC.

This is a terrible bet because btc price most likely has zero correlation to whether Amazon accepts btc payments or not. During this 24hour period, what if Satoshi decides to dump his btc's? Or what if Warren Buffett decides to buy up the whole market? Examples are a bit extreme, but you get the point. Or, when Amazon announces btc payment option, it could just simply be normal market fluctuations, nothing to do with the announcement.
1877  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk account trading be banned? on: May 31, 2014, 08:55:32 AM
If you guys haven't already noticed, a lot of sour things happen on this forum that shouldn't be allowed. I've been here long enough to see how this forum as evolved since the earlier days. For example, before there was the whole trust system, there was the scammer tags. The worst that happened to a known scammer, was just a tag. They are not banned, and mods do absolutely nothing about it.

So with that being said, if scammers are allowed to roam freely here, what makes you think mods will spend the time to chase accounts that were possibly traded? And if the accounts were traded to use as a scam, it's not like the scammer would be banned anyways. If a scammer isn't banned after he committed the scam, why would he be banned before a possible scam from the account trade? I'm not saying I support account trading (actually heavily against it), but just don't see this ever being enforced.

Btw, I haven't seen a single thread for the sales of a forum account. Maybe I'm not in the right areas. Link to a few examples?
1878  Economy / Economics / Re: Federal Investigation Launched into eBay's trading action attacking Carl ICahn on: May 31, 2014, 08:37:32 AM
I hate any links to Wall Street Journal. We can't read it unless we pay for a subscription. Can someone copy the relevant part of the article and post it on here?

Anyways, as of now I don't think crypto currency is anywhere near being a direct competitor of paypal. Sure we have a sizable volume, but it's mostly used to trade, not buy goods and services yet. Paypal is a payment processor, and I think it's quite a long ways until bitcoin overtakes paypal market. People have to get off the idea of using it as an investment vehicle, and see it more as a currency before it can be accepted by the average Joe.
1879  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 31, 2014, 08:21:16 AM
The recent problems for this campaign has been pretty obvious (summary: new people not confirmed, some had no payouts, and incorrect rates). I would suggest new joiners to just find another campaign for now, until UpDown comes back to address the problems. These problems has already been pointed out in the past couple pages, so continuing to complain about it won't fix anything.

How these are spam?
He asked question and I helped him.
What did I do wrong?
He thanked me so I clearly did help him.

Last time it was clear to me why I got my ban, (those couple slightly off topic messages) but now I'm very confused.

Lets not play innocent. Or was it the dumb card? Look at your own post history, they're all really pathetic posts. You'd earn more money if you got a real job.
1880  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Beware of PayPal and other reversible transfer services on: May 31, 2014, 05:44:09 AM
thanx for sharing actually this happened with me . Once I received some amount of money and that was reversed in not more than 3 days. When I contacted PayPal they told me this was not authorized transaction and I lost my money.

How can moneypak be reversible if you have to pay for it with cash on the spot? LBC also flagged this payment method as totally not secure, but I don't fully understand why. I've bought moneypaks several time and gave it to someone to load it into their paypal.
