2541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we buy with one BTC? And is buying something with BTC worth it? on: May 21, 2019, 04:12:46 AM
I am using bitcoin to pay bills and buy game and phone credits. I do not see anything wrong if I spend them as well if I store them as an investment. Bitcoin can be used either way. I have a few bitcoins hidden away as an investment, waiting for the price to go extremely high. I also have crypto I use for trading and the profit I used to pay for utilities and buy things I want.
2542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 21, 2019, 03:50:04 AM
Most of the discussions now are with the other conference, Bucks vs Raptors. While later, Golden State Warriors and Portland Blazers will have their last match if GSW will win this.

I guess people already gave up with this conference and chose to be focused with a better and more exciting much. Okay, going to join the discussion about Giannis with his gang and Raptors. Haven't watched the game instead I reviewed it with a replay, I was impressed that it got a 2 overtimes.  Shocked
That's a very intense match.

The last 2 games of the Warriors vs Blazers series was all disappointment to the fans, they are up 15 points or more but they gave up that.
Even if they will win in game 4, most likely they will be dominated on the road in game 5, so this series will end early as what most of us predicted.

Earlier. Portland Blazers was swept by the Golden State warriors. They had 13 point lead in the 4th quarter but failed to protect it. They were scoreless for a few minutes that paved the way for GSW to catch up. Congratulations for GSW for making it into the NBA Finals, again. They deserve it.
2543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: May 21, 2019, 03:38:16 AM
many times gamblers tried to create some kind of winning strategy but didn't manage to do this. so you must rely only on your luck.

because there is no real strategy for luck games luck dice, roulette or plinko. The only requirement to win these games are luck. You can only apply strategy on sports betting or poker. These games need experience and analysis in order to win.
2544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: May 21, 2019, 01:53:40 AM
I hope they make an alternative ending, this ending really sucks. Feels like one season wasted 8 years of my life. I hope George RR Martin release the final chapter of the book so HBO can make the real ending of a supposed to be epic series. The ending feels like a fan-made, not something the real author will make.
2545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not money on: May 21, 2019, 01:24:21 AM
Bitcoin and dollars are intrinsically worthless both are fiat currencies. The co-existence of two fiat currencies and its analysis is nothing new.

This account and OP were both registered less than an hour ago. Beginning some low level, cryptic (no pun intended) FUD campaign. You're supposed to read these posts and think "gee whizz, maybe bitcoin ain't so hot after all. Better invest in some shitcoin fork instead."

I do not see this as a FUD campaign, but the opposite of it. He compares bitcoin to an artwork. A work of art have very high value and a limited one, even more. In a sense, he is like saying bitcoin has 21 limited very high valuables item divided into 100 million high-value pieces.
2546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be the main currency in Mars? on: May 21, 2019, 12:58:26 AM
Whoever establishes the first community in Mars will dictate what currency will be used. If living will be possible in Mars, only scientists and astronauts will be there. It will be too expensive for ordinary individuals to live there. So if only a few handfuls of people can live there, even a carrot can be used as currency. So yes, Bitcoin can be the main currency in mars if ever it becomes habitable.
2547  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your gambling experience on: May 20, 2019, 11:25:42 PM
Hello!
What do you think about gambling? And what was your experience. I communicated with many people on this topic and their opinion is very different.
I think that gambling is now very developed. Manufacturers and developers are inventing more and more innovations to lure customers and give them the opportunity to diversify the game. There are many types of slot machines. I prefer to first play the free demo version and only then earn. Just last week, I discovered Play OJO. Just a couple of days I had enough to figure out and now I have tripled my deposit.

Gambling is a good way to pass time but if it becomes addictive, it is very dangerous. I never had a problem getting addicted to gambling, I just enjoy it. I never liked slot machines though. I like gambling with some thinking or strategy needed like poker or sports betting. Slot machines are all luck, no strategy.
2548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we in a silent bull run?? on: May 20, 2019, 10:22:22 PM
It is only silent if you missed to readbthe forum in the past two months. Everytime the price of bitcoin hits a certain level, the forum is buzzing with bull run threads. The media is also bombarded with bull run news.

I do not buy on a bull run, I sell. I think it is bad strategy to fomo when a bull run is already up.
2549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum drop below $240 again do you believe? on: May 20, 2019, 10:07:16 PM
If bitcoin dumps, ETH will follow. The price of ETH is only pumping because the price of bitcoin is heavily pumping as well  Bitcoin is pulling the price of altcoins up.
2550  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC the next exchange to become insolvent customers not able to withdraw fund on: May 20, 2019, 09:33:55 PM
HitBTC exchange has never been customers centric and and has continue to be so, I have an account with them, I fear to trade there because of their high withdrawal fess which is anti-cryptocurrency.Why should I trade in an exchange that careless about customers's plight.

That is true. I also have an account in HitBTC and I am not using it anymore because of withdrawal fees. I once used it to buy some tokens in 2017 and when I tried to withdraw the token, the withdrawal fee is higher than the tokens that I bought. I have no choice but to leave it there until they dropped the listing of that token. The customer service is no help as well.
2551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If there is a store like Amazon or ebay that accepts only BTC would you use it? on: May 20, 2019, 01:50:10 PM
What I'm trying to ask is would you use that type of store with your crpyto (maybe that store accepts more crypto not only BTC) or you see crypto only as an asset that will provide you more fiat money in the future?

I will gladly spend my crypto on stores that accept them. What is the use of generating so much value for crypto if you will not spend them on something you like. I already have allocations of crypto for investments. I also have crypto that I use for spending.
2552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this year be favourable to you? on: May 20, 2019, 06:57:05 AM
This year is not very favorable to me. I made some losses playing blackjack and poker. But that is just very minimal because I only gamble small amounts and for just once a week.

As for me, I just think gambling is no longer for me. Okay I might not have noticed that I was losing money more than I was gaining and that's probably because I have a job that pays and maybe cause I'm also taking gambling for fun. But ever since I started taking note of everything this year, the loss is more than the gain. So what's the need for it?? I can't be involving myself in something that gives new more loses than gain. That's why I am starting to drop it this time around.

It is good that you are quitting gambling already. There are very few people who can truly quit gambling after being in it for some time.
2553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 20, 2019, 06:26:48 AM
Finally Raptors steal 1 game. Giannis has been fouled out and they take advantage on it, attacking inside the paint and their defense are good. They should tie the series in game4. If not, that's really a hard game as they will move into Bucks homecourt and the possible end for them. Good performance again by Kawhi and the rest of Raptors.

Raptors did a good job containing the Greek Freak into only 12 points. That is the worst performance yet by Giannis this whole playoff. Unfortunately, even after containing Giannis, the Raptors only win by 6 points in double overtime. That is a good takeaway by Milwaukee. I am afraid the Raptors cannot have full control of a game because of how good the players of Milwaukee are performing.
2554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Same thing happens to everyone who tries that! on: May 20, 2019, 04:32:19 AM
Secondly, take a look at all those so-called "Bitcoin killer coins" and look at their fate without Bitcoin.

Any coin that targets to become the number 1 cryptocurrency is welcome competition to bitcoin. I think the market will be more robust and alive if there is healthy competition for bitcoin. It does not mean that it will kill bitcoin, it just means there is a possibility of a better version of cryptocurrency. And who does not want something better?

This message is to anyone who think being on a mission to kill Bitcoin is a "wise" decision. Use Craig Wright as a case study and compare it to the life he'd have if he were to focus on building his own platform and promoting it in his own way.

These types of person do not want any good for the community but only promoting themselves. They deserve to be shunned and humiliated.
2555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be Aware of Scams as Crypto prices goes up! on: May 20, 2019, 04:17:05 AM
There will always be scammers around even when the market is down but mostly when the market is up. Now that the price of bitcoin is surging up again, expect the rise of scammers again. We should learn on our experience last 2017 where scammers are all over the place. We should be wiser in our investment.s
2556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price and Binance on: May 19, 2019, 01:46:38 AM
How many people think the price increase has been triggered by the fact that Binance has stopped withdrawals?
If so what happens to the price when Binance allows withdrawals again?

It will continue to move up. I do not think that price going up is even connected to Binance limiting withdrawal. The price is already on a bull trend even before Binance was hacked and limited withdrawal. The fact that the price is back to $7500 is proof that Bitcoin has a strong uptrend right now.
2557  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking profits but don't be afraid! on: May 18, 2019, 11:36:48 PM
I wake up this morning and when I tried to refresh my wallet, I findout that bitcoin has lose over $700 from it high of yesterday! Immediately,  "this thought come into my mind, don't be afraid,  it is taking profits time", new confident come into my mind and I developed another hope that bitcoin is far strong now,  better and menture now than in 2017. I will like to encourage us to keep holding and buying more at this time as bitcoin is on the way to the moon! Though, "this is not a recommendations for you to make investments decision"!

The correction is rather low considering how the price pumped in the past few weeks. This is expected and is just normal price movement for bitcoin. The support is strong in 7000 so I am also encouraged to buy more at this level.
2558  Local / Pilipinas / Re: How much is the bitcoin's price when you first learn of its existence? on: May 18, 2019, 11:07:35 PM
2559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are bitcoin whales complete morons? on: May 18, 2019, 05:01:19 PM
Hi

I saw todays dip and then read that a whale von Bitstamp sold about 3600 coins at once and tanked the price down to 6200 for a short period of time. Now it stabilized at around 7200 USD.

Why do these people do this? Are they just morons?

If they would sell their coins within a period of 3-4 days they could probably get close to 8000 USD for every single BTC ...

The morons are those who bought when bitcoin pumped and sold after the whales dumped on them. It might even be that it is them that initiated the current bull run. You can't call them moron, they are geniuses.
2560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are regretting not encashing read this ' on: May 18, 2019, 04:18:43 PM
Major companies are hinting a bull run in near future starting from 22 May

That is just very specific. I want it to happen but I am skeptic about that Major companies are hinting on it. It might just be an elaborate plan to let small fries initiate a bull run and for them to dump on us. Just another bull trap.
