It's clear that what Nets are looking for is salary fillers (players unimportant, just match the salary of Durant) along with overhaul of picks, if they can get like 3-4 good picks, then whoever else as a player comes along with that wouldn't be cared.

I doubt that is all they want for Durant. The way they are fleecing the NBA right now, they want to maximize the value they can get from him. Sure they want as many picks they can get because they don't have any picks anymore since they traded them all away. They still want a star to get from durant trade so if they can't trade kyrie away, they can still be legit contender since they still have simmons in their roster.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 28, 2022, 06:02:20 PM
The Golden State Warriors have shown some interest in picking up Carmelo Anthony for next season. I’m not sure how well he would fit in, but I’m sure he could do some damage off the bench. I’m thinking it would probably be his last chance to win a championship, so it wouldn’t be a bad option for him. I’d wait to see if Kyrie gets traded to the Lakers and see if I could run that back before anything else though.

Nah, better for GSW to pick other players specially that will play defense on them. The only reason I'm thinking why they shown some interest on Anthony is the experience. The Warriors pick up a lot of rookies from this years draft and then they have Moody, Kuminga and Wiseman. Maybe they wanted Anthony to give those rookies and sophomores some tips and him showing how to stay long in the NBA.

Warriors have enough veterans to teach their young guns how to play in NBA at the highest level. Curry, Thompson, Green are veteran enough and if ever, Iguodala if they resign him. Maybe it is just for firepower, but would he really fit the system of GSW?

So all of a sudden, Draymond Green becomes the center of attention the last few days. Now there's more. He wants a 4-year max contract extension. This means he will be paid $164 million for the next 5 years or around $33 million per year. His current contract would be $25.8 million for the next season and a player option worth $28.5 million in the following season. Draymond is too full of himself. Although he is a very important piece of the team, he is starting to decline with his low stats performance in the last season.

And Draymond also mentioned that he is willing to explore offers from other teams should the Warriors' management not be interested in a max contract extension. Do you guys think Draymond is worth that max extension? His current stats are not even worth his current contract if I were to say, but I got it, the management do not want to break the team's core.

He is starting to decline but it is the intangible that matters. He is still part of the core. Klay and Steph can play the way they play the game because of Green. He is important to their gameplay, so I think he is worth the max extension and the management can just give it as a thank you for the rings he brought them.

[...] while the Nets are likely to run it back with KD and Kyrie again, perhaps with Ben Simmons and maybe even Dwight Howard this time.  I actually like that roster a lot, but it remains to be seen if they can play together.  Personally, I think Dwight Howard and KD would be an absolute beast of a machine on both ends of the floor.

It is actually not bad roster in paper. If they could just find a way to play together and avoid all the dramas, they are legit contenders.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 28, 2022, 03:31:47 PM
It seems gambling sites found this also profitable. An average streamer can have a thousand viewers at a time easy. Casinos can easily get exposure just giving a streamer a sponsorship. And as most viewers are gullible, they can have new members if these streamers net big wins on their casinos. A very profitable business model. And we may see more of them in the future.

I have been watching some slot streamers regularly. Just like when i watched xposed. To be honest they were affiliator rather than called all of them as real gamblers. I saw that thousands of people were also watching it for the entertain purpose only. The fact that if they were getting money from anyone who registered through their refferal. I called them all as affiliator. As far i as i know that account that used by strimer was different with the regular gamblers.

That is where the bulk of their income comes from. They cannot rely on payment from hours view to survive. Sponsorship and affiliation give them more money than they can earn from views.

1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 27, 2022, 03:47:24 PM
The asking price set by the Nets for Durant's services seem to be too high, which has stalled a lot of teams to get out of negotiations early on.

They are trying to fleece the NBA for talents and draft picks because  they mortgage their future to get Durant, Kyrie and Harden to win them championships. But alas, those players did not play coherently and instead wanted out of the team. Harden is already out. If they don't get anything valuable in exchange for Durant, they will never be able to rebuild since they do not have draft picks in like 5 years. They are in a mess and what they can make out of the trade of Durant will somehow give them a chance to be at least competitive.

I forgot who says that with the way the league is built right now with super teams, it will take at least 3 great players to win. So if we do the math, Tatum and then Durant might not be an effective weapons in the East and it will be hard to win a championship with just the 2 of them and again, there is the question of blending as well.
But the Golden State Warriors is not a super team. They just branded them with that name. Those guys put hard work in their career to achieve greatness.
Draymond cannot even shoot, his stats also went down from an average of near triple-double to almost not reaching a double-double this year.
Klay was not on his greatest career anymore. It's all teamwork that made them strong.
I still believe it's about chemistry but signing in mercenaries like Durant may also work just like how the Raptors won a championship by hiring Kawhi to help them out.

They may not started a super team but they are now. It is the result of all the hard work their core players have done.  And with the addition of the young role players, they are getting stronger.

If that's the case then KD will remain to play with Kyrie and they just need to fix their play to make it different from the last season where they really struggle to synchronize and have some chemistry issues with the new traded players.

Honestly, I don't expect the Nets can do something impressive next season, even if Irving and Durant will stay on the team. The problem is that Durant might not perform as well, and he might also have some issues with his teammates after all since he has expressed his desire to leave the team. At the same time, Irving seems to be unpredictable. I mean, if there's another pandemic and mandatory vaccinations, Irving will probably miss part of the season because of his beliefs again.

If they choose to play, they can be very good. It is the attitude that destroys them. The Nets netted a number of good players with terrible professional attitude.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA2] PGL Arlington Major 2022 Prediction Thread on: July 27, 2022, 02:53:57 PM
Too bad for FNATIC. It is already too hard to win in this tournament with a complete lineup. what more with 3 stand ins. I am considering them out of this tournament.

Do you think Ceb will play again for OG on this majors?

I love to see him play again but isn't he already retired? And I think OG young players need more exposure going to TI.

Who do you think will win on this majors again?

I am expecting those who needs DPC points to step up. Maybe team Spirit can win this tournament this time. They lost to LGD in Riyadh, maybe they want to make a comeback here.

1726  Economy / Economics / Re: You don't earn money only from others, but also when you avoid spending your own on: July 26, 2022, 06:30:33 PM
Saving and cutting expenses can only do so much but it is a start. Sometimes you cannot actually do it if you have very limited income.

The key is to have multiple sources of income and then you can move to saving and cutting expenses and then making investments. Investments are the best source of additional income since it is passive. The more passive income you have the more you can save and then you don't have to cut expenses anymore.

The article linked in the post by OgNasty mentioned Brown as the center piece of the trade plus draft picks. It didn't say about Smart or the role players.
https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1551454984314753024?s=21&t=w1qEPWBdZ9JMV3B1ji-y5g

Celtics would be really stupid if they would actually give up a lot of key pieces for KD.

I was not talking about woj but about Shams's report that the nets counter offer includes brown, smart, draft picks, and a possible role player in exchange for Durant. I just did some research on what is the counter offer on Ognasty's post below:

Shams reporting this morning that the Celtics offered a package surrounding Jalen Brown for Durant, which the Nets turned down and then countered.

The Nets are maximizing what they can get from the Durant trade. Understandable since they build around Durant and then suddenly he is leaving them hanging.

Celtics would be really stupid if they would actually give up a lot of key pieces for KD.
You are right and exactly my point. It will have a negative effect for the Celtics if the trades ever comes true.

And the question is, who is going to guard Jordan?

And who's going to coach them? Hahaha

You actually have a point. This will not be just a battle between players but with coaching. It will be a chess match.

Both teams are no doubt very talented and competitive. It will all boil down to how each will adjust to the other team's strategy.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 25, 2022, 10:55:30 PM
This trade discussions involving Brown and Durant may effect the Celtics  negatively whether it pushes through or not.

If it pushes through, it will disrupt the established chemistry that the team build through their young cores. And they are not assured that Durant and Tatum tandem will click. And it can also disrupt Tatum's development as the alpha of the team. This may lead them not achieving anything. This can affect Tatum's decisions when he becomes free agency. Worst comes to worst, Durant will leave them disarrayed just how he leaves his former teams.
I don't think it will be that bad since its Brown and draft picks. Yes he's an important part of the team but replacing him with KD would not totally disrupt the team rhythm since the Celtics still have the role players. This could actually play out well for the team in the short term. Tatum will most likely continue to be the team facilitator because we know Durant isn't a ball hog and has no problem moving without the ball.

Yes it does because Nets wants Brown, Smart, draft picks and possible a role player. I do not think Nets will take the trade if it is just brown and picks. It will be a totally new dynamics within the team and that can go either way. Can be very good and they win or the other way around.

Quote
If it does not push through, it may affect the relationship of the management with brown and eventually affects the team. After the performance that Brown showed last season, specially in the finals, he will be disgruntled to know that Celtics still considered him a trading piece.  A disgruntled star athlete will have bad performance
I am yet to see a social media rant from Brown. I would be disappointed in him if he starts acting like a Diva like Kyrie or Ben.

He is shaking his head though.

Unfortunately, we didn't see the over in the grand finals as LGD had the better draft on both maps. It could've gone to a third map if Team Spirit decide to pick different cores but they really want to make the Viper and Ember pick work somehow.

Yeah was kinda expecting some sort of crazy games there considering that this is pretty much the rematch for TI10 but PSG.LGD is currently back in their prime I guess and casually winning the top spot for $1.5 million

Do you guys think that PSG.LGD will flop on the Major though considering that they dont really need to win any points in this tournaments therefore they could pretty much draft whatever the hell they want as well as trying things out

That is quite a prize and too bad Team Spirit was not even able to win a single map. I think many are expecting it to reach game 3 and so maybe there are lots here that got rekt betting on +1.5 map.

I do not know if they will flop but I think they could use the major experience better if they still try to win it while experimenting build and combos. That is why it is exciting to watch arlington because we might see something new and amazing in it.

After having a wonderful season and reaching even the finale, I'm going to wonder what Boston Celtics will do in the new season. They were so close to win a championship after a break of so many years. However Warriors didn't let them do it. If Celtics don't make too big changes in their system I still believe that they can make it sooner or later. But their job is still going to be difficult of course. I wonder if they are thinking of changing some of the players in their roster. I hope the changes wouldn't be for their best players.

They do not have to make any drastic changes in their line up. Their starting is very young aside from Horford. That is good core and now they have an experience in the finals, they will develop more. An adjustment could bt to let Al Horford be on bench and put someone younger but equally talented to take his place in the starting line up. They do not have to trade Horford but keep him to keep the team anchored since they need a veteran guidance.

I like how the Golden State Warriors didn't complicate things regarding the possibility of signing Kevin Durant and decided to continue next season with almost the same lineup they have the previous season that won a title. It's a good move for them not to pursue getting the rights of Kevin Durant.

Basically, the Warriors also joined the Durant hype and even offer the Nets their possible trade package. Things failed as the Nets ask for more young players in return and the Warriors didn't take the bite.

We can now remove the Warriors from the list of teams that were rumored to have an interest in signing Kevin Durant this off-season.

They actually do not need Durant in their squad. They already have good chemistry and their trio is good for a few more years if there are no major injuries happening to them. And I like how they develop their young athletes that could replace their current Trio in the future. Getting Durant means throwing away the work they have done with their young athletes away.

What n interesting turn of events on Riyadh Master Tournament. We have another ultimate rematch from Team Spirit and PSG LGD after TI10 grand finals. I didn’t expect that Team Spirit will gonna beat Team Secret via reverse sweep in a convincing way. I thought this will gonna be OG and Secret finals but the result turns in to opposite on todays matches. Grand finals is upcoming for less than 1hr. Good luck! LGD will gonna win this time.

That was totally unexpected. Team secret was dominating on the first game and I thought it will continue on the next game. But Team Spirit regrouped and find a way to beat team Secret on  game two and totally crushed them on game 3. I really thought team Secret will move on to the finals but alas, they lost. Anyway, both teams that are at the top of their groups in the group stage has fallen. We will see LGD and Team Spirit in the finals. By the way, here is the odds in stake.

It seems that LGD is heavily favored to win the match. I don't think that Team Spirit will just give in though.

Good luck to your bets.
1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating people on Bitcoin for free on: July 24, 2022, 06:16:58 PM
IMO, we are the one who is complicating the bitcoin to an average joe because they already know how to use money so if they are supposed to spend bitcoin they can and they will but the volatility of the bitcoin is making it more of an investment and speculative asset over the currency. And then its not really mandatory for everyone to know the technical knowledge of cryptocurrencies just the basic understanding of decentralization is more than enough.

It is not enough that they just understand how to use it but also how to protect their bitcoin and other crypto. In the last bull run, many of the new crypto users are losing their crypto to scammers because they are giving away their private keys. We cannot keep new users to keep using bitcoin and crypto if we do not educate them properly. It is the least we can do to make sure that bitcoin will continue to grow.

The thing is this :

1. Bitcoin Volatility are drawing in the wrong people, because speculators and profit hunters are attracted to high volatility... because it provides for an opportunity to make huge profits.  Roll Eyes

I am very sure, if the novices come because of this problem. Even I used to be interested in BTC because its Votality can make us profit. Maybe if only small traders will not make the market volatile. But the whales can certainly direct where the market will go.

It can also be a factor to drive them out of crypto though. Once they fail to realize their profit or got rekt by volatility, they will immediately lose interest in bitcoin.

It seems difficult, if indeed they already have an evil nature. Because wherever it is bad people are always there, they sometimes also have more knowledge than good people. So I think it's natural that in an innovation there are always things that are not good there.

Anything can be used in good and bad. Do not blame the technology, blame the user. that is why we need to educate the new users so that they can protect themselves from bad individuals using bitcoin and other crypto.

A big fan too of the shake and bake maestro but I don't know, there must be a different purpose into why they want Crawford in their roster.
Maybe mentally?
He may be one of the greatest sixth man in the league but those knees are growing weaker as you age.
I don't see him being given even 20 minutes of playtime, it will be more of boosting the morale of their bench.

I do not see any purpose in it. He could provide veteran knowledge and experience but the team already have Lebron. And who is better to provide that experience and knowledge than their own star with 19 years old experience. And with Jamal's age, he will only be a liability on the court.

I guess you can call it sacrifice, and this is not the first time that we have heard players accepting pay cut for reasons, others want to stay in the league, or players that just come from injuries like Victor Oladipo when he move to Miami.

So genuine reason or not for Harden, we shall see if his gamble have paid off or after this season and it didn't went well with him then maybe he will exercise his option the next year.

Getting a pay cut makes him look good and  if he gets a ring with it, he can use that to leverage for a better contract next time. Does not look like a sacrifice to me, more like a strategic approach to secure his future.

Sa tingin niyo mag kaka 2nd big hype ba si axie in the future? As we know currently madaming players na ang umayaw at investors na nag benta ng assets nila. Marami na din na dismaya ssa axie dahil sa kanilang pag ka lugi. Is 2nd big hype deserve by Axie Infinity/Sky Mavis?

Last bull market is is ang GameFi sa trends kaya halos lahat ng GameFi platforms ay matunog. 2nd GameFi Trend? Quality Games?

In the next bull run, Do you guys think na aangat padin sila over the other quality/3d games na on the development right now?

Team Spirit eliminated RNG in the playoffs. The semifinals slot is now complete and each team is guaranteed USD 425K prize.

I am excited to watch Team Secret and Team Spirit battle it out in the semis. They had a good match yesterday and I know they will not disappoint. I am rooting for secret for they have been very dominant in this tournament. But depending on the odds, I will bet on the one that have better odds for this match up could go either way anyway.

I will surely bet on OG on their match against LGD. I just don't feel that LGD has what it takes to beat OG right now.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 23, 2022, 05:18:45 PM
My hands is itching to bet on both Chinese team because they are both good on crucial match like this but the new and improved Nigma give me hard time to decide whether if I will stick on my parlay match winner or do the safe bet which +1.5 on EU teams. I think any odds that greater than 1.5 for +1.5 handicap is a steal for this matches because these 4 teams on quarter finals is proven consistent based on there previous matches.

Hope you bet on +1.5 on EU teams because Nigma just got there 1st win against LGD. LGS call an early GG on the game because Nigma dominates them since the beginning. Nigma seems very strong after Sumail join there roster and Miracle back on position 1 once again. I think they can beat PSG LGD on this match and possibly on the finals since they have an even match by OG before. This might be there official come back after being relegated to Division 2. ILTW is the one dragging them down.  Cheesy

I was surprised when LGD called an early GG in game 2. I know Nigma was snowballing on their lead to LGD but it was just an 8K lead. I guess it was not worth it to waste time since LGD won game 1.

LGD proved that they are the better team in Game 3. They returned the favor to Nigma and destroyed them early with 5 kills just 2 seconds in the game. They snowballed on that and Nigma had no chance to come back.

LGD secured a semifinal seat against OG and earned a guaranteed 425K paycheck.

^^ I guess it's just a question of Booker's mentality though, I rated him above Tatum couple of years ago, but right now, it seems that Tatum is more clutch than him specially with the way their series with Dallas turns out.

So let's see if he can go back next season with a lot of pride and prove something in return. He is still in his prime, can average 25 ppg++ and be on the top of the scoring list. He just need to be consistent and have that Black Mamba mentality.

Booker is still young. He still have a lot of basketball in him. Also, he have good mentor now with CP3. I am sure he will be back this season better and stronger. Consistency and mentality all comes with experience. I think this past two years are experience enough for them to build upon.

Probably, it's now or never for Chris Paul, next season should be the one but the Warriors are still one of the favorite despite some of the supporting cast leaving for a good contract on other teams.

I think Chris Paul is still good for 2 seasons. Hopefully he could get a ring within that time. He is one of the best point guard in my opinion and a ring will solidify that.

The way I see it, there are lots of casino signature campaigns because they can realize profit from it. Obviously, they are pulling a lot of gamblers from here otherwise we will not see them promoting here.

That said, gambling section will remain an active section in bitcointalk even when there are less casino signature campaigns. There are a lot of gamblers here that would want to talk about gambling events and the like. There might be a slight decline in activity but that's it.

I do not see any clear goal on your part in establishing a casino.

You lack experience in casino business. I suggest you get some from existing online casinos by working under them  as a developer or coder since you already got that skill. Then you can observe from within how a casino is run and managed, their selling points and the costs.

Next is established what can set you apart from other online casinos. If unique enough, that will get you your user base.

Having knowledge in coding and crypto is not enough to survive in casino business. That is common and you can just hire people to do that for you. What you need to have is good management and business skills and a clear goal.

Good luck with your endeavours.
