Flashman,

I hope you realize that if by september, you don't already have your ASIC you will not be making the ROI in a year from that point onwards.

Unless Bitcoin shoots through the roof (and assuming your paid in USD) then it will be very hard for that ROI to happen.

I have ample sense, I simply took a calculated risk to see if iTrader would give us the source code.

If I were those few people who have (allegedly) purchased the program without the source, I would be weary of running it.

A virus does not make someone incommunicado for 8 days.

Hi,
I have been using this program for a while and it has some great features.

I really like the rules feature. I noticed though that it would be great if you could add a feature that automatically buys if a certain profit level is achieved.

See the pics below:

I noticed the encircled variable is not included in the ruleset building. (well, at least not directly)

I rendered this to give you an idea of what I mean:

I'll donate 2 BTC if you can find the time to add it, thanks for your hard work!

iTrader appears to have run with the money....sad.

You're a mother fuckin' mind reader. The first time one of them BFLers say "No comment!", their mailbox will begin to get filled with even more refund requests.

At least BFL will have one ace up their sleeve: Pay for more advertising on this forum to garner more sales.

Remember last year when all the buzz was about working 24/7 on the holiday days? Name one day BFL had a full complement of workers at their facility on a holiday. Even better, name any day where crews working 24/7. As far as I can tell, there's still a swarm of locusts in the unemployment line, and that's only if the temp assemblers didn't ear them.

I recall those statements around the end of last year.

They never keep their promises, do they?

Several days and....nothing.

I suppose that no one had ever actually bought the source before now?

Has anyone ever purchased the source?

An exchange without the ability to...exchange?

An ASIC company without the ability to....deliver?

2550  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL refund through Paypal claim on: July 05, 2013, 07:07:56 AM

If you want a refund, just whine louder!!!!

Glad I don't have to deal with them anymore  Grin

& NEVER again  Tongue

I think everyone is just entering into panic because:

A) The price of Bitcoin is down almost 30% in the last week. (PANIC!)
B) The enormous amount of ASICs are making BTC very hard to mine. And this is barely the tip of the iceberg. (PANIC x2)
C) BFL's customer base has become aware that they are being royally screwed.

I am cheering BFL on. Because they are keeping those that didn't want to see the signs a virtual hostage with their money.

In which case, they (BFL) are making these customers stick with their decision. They no longer have a choice in the matter. Shouldn't we rejoice that BFL customers had enough wisdom to rush the refund window all at the same time at the very last second?

Now they will get ASICs that will cost them money and not actually make them any (unless they purchased a large lot). (In my opinion.)

Hopefully when the BFL customers get desperate and all begin selling off their hardware, people like us will snatch it up on pennies on the dollar. Let them all sell it off at discounted prices.

Those of you buying these at disenchanted prices, make sure to hold out for a good deal. Lets start with 50% purchase price. Then work our way down from there.
2551  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC seized by EU , european & german Customs on: July 04, 2013, 09:45:08 PM
If you think you are going to have customs problems, ask for the miner to be shipped without a power supply and source an approved one locally yourself. This is what Avalon have been doing, and probably why KNCminer are going to ship without a power supply.

The alternative is the possibility of not having your ASIC miner.

I can imagine the answer from BFL:

Quote
All sales or final, we can't do it.

They have already been shipping Singles without power supplies for some people,  this is obviously a potential problem, and it would be nice if you helped people with useful suggestions or refrain from posting.

It would be nice if you followed your own advice instead of being a BFL spokespuppet all the time. How about next time you see Josh in the office you mention to him he might want to follow the law instead of dumping mistakes like this in his customers lap.
You make it sound like it was an aborted baby.
2552  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL refund through Paypal claim on: July 04, 2013, 10:27:39 AM
?

Does this mean they are shipping at light speed?
Are they finally done shipping?

Why the no refund clause if they haven't even started on sending Little Singles? (To the best of my knowledge.)

By the way, can anyone change the above from "Near" to "Here"?
2553  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Black Arrow Avalon ASIC Unit (85 or 65 Ghash/second) on: July 04, 2013, 05:45:03 AM
It looks like you have reconsidered building an ASIC machine. It's good to have multiple ASIC suppliers. The reason I'm curious is because you noted in a previous thread that "After this backlash we decided to mine ourselves. Happy mining everybody!"

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=234356.0

Ah, he ran away after I brought up the price issue and the actual money people would probably make (or should I say not make) on these.

Now hes come back under a new thread title with a somewhat lower price. I guess he wasn't really going to mine on his own like he said he would.

Hi,
When are you sending me the source and the software that I already paid for....4 maybe 5 days ago?
2556  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL refund through Paypal claim on: July 03, 2013, 10:05:59 PM
If what you said were actually true, I could sell something with a disclaimer that says:

" iBitPush (ASIC) products are shipped according to placement in the order queue, and delivery may take 2 months or more after order. All sales are final."

I therefore could sell a totally bogus product that doesn't exist and perpetually keep the customer "on hold" indefinitely because of "endless delays". (Or at the very least 1 year and some days...and counting.)

Sounds good right? That is the point you are making.
2557  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL now getting customer financing? on: July 03, 2013, 10:01:47 PM
Has anyone heard anything about this?  I caught a snippet of this discussion -somewhere- but when I wanted to go back and read in more depth I couldn't find the article again.

The premise of the article was:

BFL chips = 20 days from the foundry.  Delivery to chip buying customers=100 days.  Float = 80 days.

Accusation: BFL is selling chips and using the 80 days worth of float as a way to have chip buyers finance their chip purchases.  They are using the float and that free financing to obtain chips - at no cost to themselves - that they are building production units out of.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?  Can anyone point me to the article/discussion concerning this?  There was a lot more depth to the article than just this, but it seems to have disappeared.
You are referring to Kernel32's group buy.

Go to the Group Buy section and it will refresh your memory.

Just create an account at MtGox.com or BTC-e.com and wire money to your account. It's not rocket surgery.
Rocket science?  Cheesy
2559  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Question about buying with Paypal... on: July 03, 2013, 07:04:53 AM
The simple answer is no. Paying from a CC linked to Paypal leaves the seller open to a chargeback and also creates an unnecessary fee.
2560  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post you BFL refund queue position here! on: July 03, 2013, 12:37:32 AM
Could mean good news for non EU customers. Lower difficulty!
Grin  Grin  That's the community spirit that makes bitcoin so wonderful.
Yes a wonderf'l when someone forget the BFL got a hosting for units. But shall I use the term "an imaginary plan" Smiley Josh would host your EU unit in his living room

Shh, don't let the datacenter know that they [possibly/apparently] run uncertified hardware. The charges and fees would be enormous I would bet.
