As it will be played in Lords I feel the English side will have slide advantage. @pakhitheboss this match will also witness the debut of McCullum their new test coach, and I’m eager to see how he can revive the England team in this format. Furthermore I hope that Stokes can balance the pressure of being the captain, and yet keep performing for the team because he’s one of their most important player. McCullum will do a lot for England in this format; only he can save it. England has announced their test squad for New Zealand. It is great to see Anderson and Broad have been re-called to England's Test squad. It will be interesting to see what happens in the first test against New Zealand. It was just unbelievable, looking at the journey of Gujarat Titans. Since they were a new franchise, they had to start everything from the scratch. While the other franchises had the option to retain players, the Titans had to contend with players who were released from the other franchises (such as Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan. But it is another fact that many of these "released" players performed exceptionally well for their new franchise. Lucknow was also a new team, and they did pretty well to reach the knockout phase.
Hardik Pandya's performance as a captain and as an all-rounder has been proven after this win. I was going through the overall stats of the GT team in this season of IPL and found Pandya's contribution as a batter and bowler has been incredible. Whether you talk about his batting average or bowling average he is in the top 3. GT being a brand new team and winning the title for the first time is an achievement. Overall this team has been consistent with their performance throughout this season. Their debut season ends with them winning the IPL trophy. It is an outstanding accomplishment for Gujarat Titans as a brand new team to win the title for the first time. Despite not having star players, they have a good bowling lineup and players given their roles correctly. A special mention should be made of Hardik Pandya's captaincy. How great Hardik is! Not just in the final, but throughout the tournament. Captain Hardik Pandya has proven that he is a worthy leader. His energy, talent, and anger make him an effective leader.
