It just blows my mind how amazing Surya Kumar Yadav is! It took him just 45 balls to reach his third T20I century. On the other hand, if you look at his game, you can see he makes intelligent shots! Despite hitting plenty of sixes, he hits them less riskily than someone else. There will be a massive total posted by India against Sri Lanka in the series decider. In view of your prediction, Sri Lanka have zero chance of getting the total, but I can't miss the taste of T20 chase from Sri Lanka's batters. |

Mohamad Rizwan is playing decently now, and I don't think that the PCB should ruin his career by overburdening him with additional responsibilities (the same thing that happened with Babar Azam). Let Sarfaraz Ahmed handle this responsibility for now, as he is more mature and experienced. I would have considered Shaheen Shah Afridi (once he is free from injury), but having a pace bowler as the captain is a bit extreme. Australia tried to do the same with Pat Cummins, and I am afraid that it is not working that well.
Shaheen Shah Afridi would have been my number 1 contender for the captaincy spot. He is a bowler and would be able to handle the pressure but injuries might hamper him as a captain. Pakistan have already lost 5 wickets they are struggling to play spin. Both Sodhi and Bracewell have taken 2 wickets each. At this momentum Pakistan might lose this test match. Scenario has changed completely. Pakistan started the first session decently, but now they have lost 3 additional wickets. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saud Shakeel are at the crease now, with Agha Salman to come next. And after that the tail starts with Hasan Ali. Ish Sodhi and Michael Bracewell have picked up two wickets apiece, and Ajaz Patel has started his spell just now. 65 overs remaining in this match, and given the current circumstances it is going to be extremely difficult for Pakistan to save this match (unless bad light stops play). In karachi there is no issue of light and I think its very much over for Pakistan. WTF! Arshdeep Singh! I never expected this guy to give tons of run through no ball. Such performance would hamper his permanent slot in T20 team. In my opinion Srilanka would win as India's batting is in a terrible state. If India is able to chase then it would be a miracle.
All the three bowlers whom you have mentioned were pathetic yesterday. I don't know what happened to Arshdeep Singh, and it was his poor performance which single-handedly lost the match for India. Umran was good until his last over, but then he conceded 20 runs by bowling in a wayward manner. Mavi was extremely expensive. All three went for more than 12 runs per over yesterday, and that too against a weak team like Sri Lanka. India's idea of playing inexperienced bowlers isn't working that well. And all this happened at home, and not at overseas tracks. The series has been leveled at 1-1 by Sri Lanka. In their second T20I match, the Asian champions are back with a bang. It was embarrassing to watch Indian bowlers give away so many runs rather than take wickets yesterday. As a result of poor bowling and poor top batting order, India lost the match. Since Spurs are very inconsistent, there isn't much to read into this win. I'm impressed with the second half, by the way. They'd better tighten up. Unfortunately , Soton lost again against Nottingham and they must do something very soon if they want to avoid relegation because so far , all I see are defeats in a row.
