We don't want terrorists on this forum.

Should be ban anybody associated with Washington or the City of London then?
2582  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Privacy and the use of exchanges. on: May 31, 2019, 08:03:55 AM
The introduction of mini-charges for market makers is more of an annoyance. It's only pennies, but it has caused a bit of a mental shift foe me, It's put me off scalping for a few pounds.

With regards to security and privacy, I've noticed that a few trades are being made using hardware wallets with coins in them. This must be the equivalent of cash, and transactions will be off the blockchain and the trading stats.
2583  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The Jet Cash coffee lounge thread. on: May 31, 2019, 07:56:51 AM
Well I missed yesterdays spike in the Bitcoin price, I've got a few Satoshi in a CoinBase trading account, and I would have sold those if I had spotted the jump in time. I probably ought to leave a couple of positions open to take advantage of these jumps in the future. Maybe I'll move a bit more fiat into the account.

I've been a bit distracted by the problems with the read brakes on the van, and I'll fix them myself. Maybe I should take some photos, or make a YouTube video.

[update]

Well I tried to move a few hundred pounds into my account, and it looks asif I can no longer use Faster Payments. I have to initiate a standard bank transfer for a minimum of £1,000 and wit 3 days. Well that is a non starter, so I'll need to find another exchange that accepts Sterling.
2584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins in hands of whales - should be worried? on: May 30, 2019, 10:41:44 PM
I think some people have come to realise that if you "store" Bitcoin in a hardware wallet, and then you sell that wallet, the transaction is completely untraceable and unrecorded. This is probably the new cash, and is a great way to move large sums across borders. you can expect to see more large and apparentlt dormant addresses in the future.
2585  Other / Meta / Re: Infographic Stealing on: May 27, 2019, 08:46:09 AM
If you copy an infographic without any credit, then that seems to be a clear case of plagiarism. The same applies to images, although many images have been released into the public domain. Even if an image contains a water mark, you should still check to see if its use is allowed. Cutting out a watermark can create a plagiarism accusation.

I created a couple of image hosting sites - Jazz Pics and Mobile Img, and I have stated that images can be used freely provided that the watermark is not removed. Always check the site for usage permissions.
2586  Other / Politics & Society / Re: European parliament election on: May 27, 2019, 07:47:00 AM
What a sham the UK election turned out to be. The Robin Tilbrook legal action looks likely to succeed, and this will mean that the UK actually left the EU on the 29th March 2019. The cost of the useless election was 4 times the amount required to save British Steel, and about 30.000 jobs - that shows where the Conservative priorities are, and they have been punished for it. Since we have been in the EU, the pound has lost 70% of it's value, debt has skyrocketed, and our manufacturing base and national assets have been exported. The sooner we can get away from The EU, and avoid having to prop up the collapsing Euro and European economy the better.

I look forward to the return to the British standards of food quality, rather than the lower EU standards that have been imposed on us as well.
2587  Other / Politics & Society / Re: May's Resignation: What Next? on: May 24, 2019, 05:51:21 PM
A reduction in the Sterling exchange rate will be good, and will help our exports. One reason for the growth of China was the selling of Renminbi to purchase US dollar bonds and assets. The Euro was created in part to avoid the revaluation of the Deutsche mark, and to merge the weaker Greek, Italian and other economies with that of the German.

What will happen after May goes? Hopefully there will be some analysis of her activities, and some attempt to undo the damage she has done. Hopefully the Chagos Islands will be returned to Mauritius, and some sanity will be introduced into the British Steel insolvency. The money needed was less than a quarter of the cost of the EU elections, and those may be annulled because they weren't administer correctly.

Britain voted to leave the EU, and to enter a 2 year negotiating period to establish new deals with Europe and the rest of the world. The Eton/Oxford elite that controls Westminster has spent 3 years trying to block that process. Business is ready and has planned for an exit under WTO terms, and so is the population - 80% of the country voted for parties that promised that. The Brexit party is attempting to create  the new horizontal split in politics that was predicted by Jacob Rees-Mogg, but will the elite administration allow this? My fear is that the banking remainers will continue to stall our exit to allow the EU to leech funds to mitigate the damage caused by the moribund Deutschebank and European Union.

2589  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Google and Huawei - the start of new era? on: May 23, 2019, 07:19:12 AM
I've been trying to get rid of annoying apps, and other Google stuff from my phone, and it is almost impossible to keep them out. I don't want music, radio, facebook, twitter or anyone of that clutter. Android is open source. If Huawei could produce a quality phone with an open source OS, then it would be a world beater. The governments won't like it though.

Apple is so last year, and behind with it's ( China produced ) technology, that it may be the victim in all this. I'm sure there is more vulnerability and government surveillance with Apple, Microsoft and Google products, than there are in Huawei products.
2590  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trade war China and US on: May 22, 2019, 09:14:35 AM
The banking globalists will win - not China or the US.
2591  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trade war China and US on: May 22, 2019, 06:14:12 AM
It's a step towards the integration of the US and China into one country. Think that is rubbish? Have a look at this project, and check its backing.

2592  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Google and Huawei - the start of new era? on: May 22, 2019, 05:50:15 AM
Global politics are never what they seem on the surface. For example Washington controls the US, and the Eton/Oxford elite ( Bilderberg etc ) control Washington. Over the last few decades, there has been an initiative to export manufacturing and capital to Asia, and this seems to be part of the globalist plan. How many people have heard of the Schwarzman scholarship? This is similar to the Rhodes scholarship which led to the creation of the EU amongst other things. The Schwarzman scholarship is designed to recruit young people in Asia who will achieve great influence in the future, and the objective is to integrate the US and China into one country. If you doubt this project, then stop and think about the current 25% tax on consumer goods in the US and China. It isn't protectionism, or a desire to improve home manufacturing, but just another form of taxation of the general population. This tax is extremely damaging, and just reduces consumption, and the money taken from the people is unlikely to be used to improve the infrastructure. Also you can have a look at the founders and associates of the Schwarzman project - they include globalists such as Tony Blair and Kissinger.
2593  Other / Meta / Re: Give good posters amnesty on: May 21, 2019, 01:35:59 PM
If you are running a big business through the forum, then you should have your own website. Post the rules on that, and then link to them in your transactions.
2594  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Google and Huawei - the start of new era? on: May 21, 2019, 06:43:01 AM
What this action highlights is the importance of software in modern appliances. How many people realise that the control program in modern cars is not sold with the car. You only have a limited use licence for it, and without the software the car is useless. Will this be the next target for Washington protectionism and control of behaviour.
2595  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Google suspends Huawei's Android support on: May 21, 2019, 06:37:52 AM
It's a fairly obvious attempt by Washington to try to hang on to their own spying activities. Their technology is out of date, and Apple relies on China anyway. Huawei is going to dominate the world with 5G ( which most of us don't want ), and they will move to open source for a mobile OS. I welcome it, I'm fed up with Google constantly trying to install aps that I don't want. If Huawei brings out a Google amd Microsoft free phone, then I will probably buy it. The only thing I will miss is the journey planner.
2596  Other / Serious discussion / Google and Huawei - the start of new era? on: May 20, 2019, 06:58:44 AM
Washington has put pressure on Google to stop Huawei from using Android and Google play services. Is this another example of Washington trying to control the Internet, and actually having the opposite result? I'm becoming increasingly annoyed by the constant attempts by Google to install unwanted apps on my phone, and my blocking attempts seem to create a list of warnings every time I turn on the phone. Open source operating systems for mobiles seem to have had mixed success, but maybe this ban will give the embryonic industry a much needed boost. I'd be interested in buying a new Huawei phone if it helped me to escape from the control of Google and Washington.
2597  Other / Meta / Re: Petition: disable "Banned from displaying..." signature and leave it blank on: May 20, 2019, 06:47:50 AM

They were good advertisers up until someone digged posts from 5 years ago to report them.

That comment really highlights the problem. This forum is an information exchange, and a self-help community. It isn't an unpaid billboard for advertising products - especially as some of them appear to be of questionable value.
2598  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Interesting, weird and very different Bitcoin websites on: May 20, 2019, 06:39:30 AM
Ir's an interesting and creative idea.

I put together a site listing some of the Bitcoin music that I found. Bitcoin tunes
I must update it later, as I have found  few more tunes.
2599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Digital nomads are roofless - not homeless. on: May 19, 2019, 07:33:17 PM
I think that you need to differentiate between "homeless" and "roofless". I'm converting to become a digital nomad - ie roofless, but not homeless. I'm not short of money, and I don't need to beg for charity ( although I might need to monetise some of my projects ). Crypto is great for me, and I have the computing equipment to take advantage of it. The truly homeless with no asset or income base, are not really ideal recipients for crypto. They probably don't have the equipment for a wallet, and even if they have, they may not be able to prevent its theft. It seems to me that cash is far more useful to them.
2600  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The Jet Cash coffee lounge thread. on: May 19, 2019, 06:51:57 PM
Sorry I've been a bit erratic recently. I've been giving a bit of priority to my mobile comms site - well clearing the van and preparing for it anyway.

I realise that I haven't done anything on the tunes site or my blog, and i need to put time into Fit to Talk as well. Hopefully I can do that later this week.

Had a bad night last night. I'm touring Somerset, and I spent the night in a truckstop. I had a guy park nearby with a refrigeration unit that was going all night. I moved eventually, but I feel really tired this morning.
