2581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we buy NFT? on: August 03, 2021, 11:25:05 PM
You pretty much have explained the reason why people buy NFT. It's like purchasing an art piece in the gallery and putting it up on display in your house for people to see when they visit you. It's most likely because of the rarity or design of the art piece. Most people who can purchase things like these are the ones who don't have to think about what they invest into or hoping to get a return for it. Almost everything that we do in life is for-profit; I doubt some don't think about it.
2582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin mining isn’t a waste of energy? on: August 03, 2021, 03:20:22 PM
The value of Bitcoin is entirely dependent on everyone and what the whales are going to do (we all know this), but when it comes to energy consumption, it's not a waste because many things go to it.

The only way that it wastes energy is by mining through non-renewable energy resources. Most of this would be from fossil fuels and coal power plants that produce electricity, and it is scarce. There's nothing more to it than that.

Yes, it does support the blockchain, etc., but the energy is not as efficient comparing to renewable energy sources. I think everybody who is a hater of crypto is probably going to attack from that angle,. Still, in reality, those operating in the non-renewable energy setup will be at a loss in the long run, so it's technically a waste.

You get a double win when you use renewable energies. Clean and efficient use of energy. No additional waste.

Only waste would be the ones lost in energy conversion processes (the imperfect systems)
2583  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 green daily candles in a row on: August 03, 2021, 09:59:49 AM
On a daily timeframe, that's a pretty rare occasion for that. But that's not going to be always the case. Could this be another pattern form that could be a signal to bullish points? I'm pretty curious about how many patterns like this show, and it just rises like that. I doubt it will be seen in a lower timeframe because of the volatility that we have here in the cryptocurrency world.
2584  Other / Archival / Re: Bybit and FTX are clones of BitMEX and Binance? on: August 03, 2021, 08:20:35 AM
Well, after all, the coincidence in the graphical interface is more secondary than the coincidence in the concept of the exchange itself, Binance is a multi-platform, while Bybit has been a strictly derivative platform like Bitmex for almost three years. with the same simple registration and simple margin accounts as opposed to the more complex one on Binance.
Well, yeah, I think I understand why they have to mirror their interface because that's what works and most new companies that see potential in the market copy the ones who has been successful. I didn't look at it in the back-end side but I see where you are coming from.

Regarding the fact that the creation of an exchange itself requires certain skills and knowledge, of course, and the creation of a billion dollar exchange is all the more so, here you cannot do without the professional support of experienced people who already have knowledge in the field of managing such exchanges.
That's probably the reason why there are connections and similarities between them. Programming that from the ground-up would require thousand hours of work with multiple engineers producing it.
2585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your coin tier list? on: August 03, 2021, 06:16:53 AM
I like this idea, and I believe that this could initiate some exposure. To be clear here, this is not financial advice. Invest at your own risk and understand that coins can lose value in the long run if it's a shit coin.

Since I like gaming, I would include some tokens that are related to NFT games.

1. BTC
2. ETH
3. BNB
4. ADA
5. GUNTHY
6. SLP
7. AXS
8. ILV
9. VEGA
10. HUMAN
2586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin current stage and price on: August 03, 2021, 06:02:29 AM
As someone who is bullish in every way in BTC, I believe that Bitcoin will go up higher in the long run. If you can check the trading chart of it for the past few months, it does show a hold of price in the range that we are in now. If we can break the resistance again around ~$42k, we can go even higher, TBH. I can't wait to see the upcoming price increase with this. Hopefully, every one of us can rise with this.
2587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH adoption lately is high on: August 02, 2021, 04:55:59 PM
I think it's a good investment right now and that with the increased adoption and the significant upgrade that is going to happen soon, it can even trigger higher prices. I do hope that it reaches a new ATH this year. I even got more ETH just because of this and, of course, getting more promising projects. I know that many things can be invested in right now, with all the NFT games hype in the ETH chain.
2588  Other / Archival / Re: Bybit and FTX are clones of BitMEX and Binance? on: August 02, 2021, 08:55:04 AM
Upon experience, I feel that Bybit is the clone of Binance regarding GUI and user experience. The colorways also add to the "thought" of it having being cloned or something. I'm curious as to how much it could've been to do that, and if it's true, how many more exchanges could there be? There are probably overlaps of connections between these exchanges, and they have probably the same devs or something. Lol.

I think that it's hard to create an exchange if you don't have the experience and connections to design and develop one. When you have relationships, like someone in Binance, you can re-create how it's being done.

Having alternatives are the way to be in the game for a very long time.
2589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why safemoon fail or scam project on: August 02, 2021, 07:18:26 AM
There are a lot more other shitcoins out there that are being hyped. Maybe you can follow that and get a quick buck with that. Make sure that whenever you are investing in these types of coins, make sure that it's something "okay" to lose. It's probably going to be gone if you chose the wrong one or too late to exit.
2590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin target for 2021 on: August 02, 2021, 06:33:35 AM
I agree with what you are saying. The movement with LTC hasn't been well compared to the other top crypto. I guess the time is finished for LTC for now. Maybe someday, when there's more application to it, perhaps it will bring more people to buy it, but I think we're stuck in this right now until that happens.

What made you HODL it in the first place? Why don't you believe in it now?

No one should decide it for you; only you should determine where you invest your money. It's never going to be a good idea to follow someone else's advice unless you both have the investors' risk-taking mindset.
2591  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FTX exchange offering bitcoin in their partnership with the MLB on: August 02, 2021, 03:32:18 AM
I'm happy to see them doing sponsorship deals and making themselves known to everyone. I like how they are operating. I currently use their exchange as well, and I kind of like how they are doing. Mostly like with the charity stuff on their site with staking their token and giving rewards and such. Anyway, the feature that I like with their site is the tokenized stocks that some traders cannot trade unless they have a foreign account or something.

The odds of winning that is so freaking low. Good luck with the participants.
2592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platforms with high bankroll pay out on: August 01, 2021, 03:15:51 PM
It's nice that you have been able to invest and receive that 1% gain with your investment monthly. I mean, that's incredible without doing anything. There are different sites that you can invest in and I think they have been mentioned by people above. Maybe you can just increase your capital there if you are confident enough for it, you know. This is not financial advice.  Wink
2593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what's with "axie infinity"? on: July 31, 2021, 02:18:44 PM
They have had a pretty solid project even before the mainstream NFT application ever since. I have been searching and reading about their team, and they have been working with it since 2018 IIRC. So even if cryptocurrencies are on a downtrend during those days and no one cared, they have persevered and continued it and never gave up, so I don't think they ever will stop.

It had changed lives in third-world countries, and I believe that they will continue and strive. Sustained.
2594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the pandemic is still going on.. on: July 31, 2021, 11:00:53 AM
I was a little bit surprised that it was still a thing for this time. Most of the crypto users are in this because of DeFi projects and not airdrops anymore. It's not that popular and most of the time, people who receive airdrops have little benefit anymore. They are probably focused on making ways to earn money while at home during this pandemic.

Do you consider bounties as airdrops as well?
2595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Beauty Of Real Trading on: July 31, 2021, 10:48:40 AM
It was because they simply think that trading is a tool to make them rich instantly. Mostly they got fooled by many ads to appear showing how easy it is to make money in trading. And that they will found it hard when they are in actual trading.
That's why there many ads that show people that they can test it out first and use fake money. There, they will be able to easily profit because it's fake money or assisted in some way. And then when they are ready to deposit, it just goes all the way down. I hope no one gets to experience that loss but it's inevitable.

A lot of people tend to lose money to urges and immediate want to recover their losses and thus creating even more problems.
2596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: July 31, 2021, 10:39:29 AM
The first thing that you should know should be it's never going to be profitable if you let your emotions affect you. Just like in trading and any other endeavor that you might be dealing with. Human emotion is quite hard to master and to perfect knowing that you can be immediately be affected negatively.

I suggest to treat it as entertainment and never another source of income unless you are doing it professionally.
2597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Beauty Of Real Trading on: July 30, 2021, 03:20:52 PM
I think that's the problem with people, forgetting the actual goal that you have created and the idea of short-sightedness and thinking that it's the only way that you think that you are in profit. The best thing to do is do your actual trading plan and follow it meticulously. If you want to take advantage of the 24 hour market of crypto, you can take a look at Gunbot and use it as an additional trading tool.
2598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is bad / Bitcoin is High risk .... well what about Archegos? on: July 30, 2021, 09:36:35 AM
I don't think it will be our fault anymore if we deposit our money into banks and lose the investments they have. There's always going to be that insurance whenever something happens, right? The FDIC or wherever you are. As a client, we don't need to do anything but know that they will carry that loss and still be there whenever you need transacting.

This collapse makes it even harder for people to know Bitcoin and know that anything can happen. One wrong move in the wrong direction, you are already going to lose everything. I hope whoever is responsible for this, understand what he did and possibly recover from it.
2599  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Speculators have a lot of "enemies", many of which come from themselves on: July 30, 2021, 08:44:25 AM
Isn't that just being human? With regards to all the things that you are doing, you can always make mistakes but one thing that most people lack on is correcting them immediately. For sure, you can get fear and uncertainty towards something but you should just know that you are able to get through it if you are going to be aware that it's happening and then form a corrective action towards it.

I think speculating is always going to be a hard thing to master because it's already an unknown entity or not foreseeable. You wouldn't know what to expect and there the fear arises.
2600  Other / Archival / Re: Near-Zero Fees in the Bitcoin Network on: July 28, 2021, 02:03:18 PM
Before I was always hesitant to transact my BTC when going in and out of my wallet because of the fees and I was surprised to see that you only need 3-4 sat/byte now and save so much. I checked the mempool size statistics to make sure I wasn't going to send that transaction and wait for days and lo and behold, it's fast. Continuing this for everyone would make it easier to have real-world applications more and more.

I'm curious as to what the minimum withdrawal from exchanges would be. I remember 50k sats in Binance, not sure now.
