2581  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Thailand’s Securities Regulator Eyes Qualifications for New Crypto Investors on: February 24, 2021, 08:40:51 AM
Such rules exist for trading stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc., and on the face of it I have no problem with it. In my country you simply have to answer a questionnaire showing you know a bit about the products you're about to trade in.

It just means that an exchange that wants clients from Thailand would have to do the same, it's much less problematic than KYC/AML in my opinion (but KYC/AML is also becoming a given for such exchanges).
If that is how it is then there should be no worries that they are looking for qualifications. In my country, bureaucracy is the enemy when you want to apply to trade your own stocks, the paperwork to get an account in a bank and to have your tax ID and other boring papers which discourages a lot of people to get in. Good thing that in my country, there isn't a lot of regulations in cryptocurrency for now which is good for many people. The news is pretty bad because it removes almost a lot of crypto investors that have no real experience in trading in the industry, I think people can still revert this regulation but knowing that a lot of people doesn't know about trading, this regulation will definitely pass through without a hitch.
2582  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian Government Passes Draft Bill on Bitcoin Taxation on: February 24, 2021, 07:56:02 AM
What happens when this bill is passed? Is there a summary of the things that will happen so a pleb like me can understand it without a hitch, I hope that you will post it here. It is a good thing that they plan to tax bitcoin instead of banning it entirely. The only deciding factor if this is a good tax law is if the individual tax is manageable and not headache worthy.
2583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Spend Bitcoin? on: February 24, 2021, 07:17:45 AM
For like me have a simple life, I use my bitcoin to support my needs and wants,  but I never use it in online shopping even we experience world pandemic now, because paying your bills online is very risky, so choose to cash out my bitcoin and buy my needs anywhere I want in my county.

Bitcoin as digital currency is very convenient to use to buy anything we want but for me you need money to buy something it is better to convert your bitcoin in your local money to buy your needs than using your bitcoin buying something online.
Good thing that I don't have to resort to converting my bitcoin to fiat just to pay for my needs and wants because most of my bitcoin are in hodl. There was this time that I spent bitcoin to buy some figures but I have to convert it to fiat sadly, the reason is that the website doesn't accept any types of cryptocurrency as of this moment. I think that it is good that bitcoin is converted to fiat before spending but you have to watch out because the 1 USD worth of bitcoin today is different from the 1 USD worth of bitcoin in the future.
2584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fed's statements - A Catalyst to the Continued BTC Bull Run on: February 24, 2021, 06:37:02 AM
The answer to almost anything concerning price: no one knows.
Learned this while watching the movie The Wolf of Wallstreet, Matthew McConaughey's character said something about how no one knows whether the prices go up, down or sideways, what matters is that you get the clients money in your pocket. I guess some parts of that line could be applied to bitcoin as well. The price always bounce back, it's just that there are many eyes on bitcoin market right now that we think that this bounce back is special.
2585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Case for a $10,000,000 Bitcoin on: February 24, 2021, 05:41:40 AM
Nice article OP. I don’t think $10,000,000 per BTC is impossible at all. It won’t be in this cycle but in the next 10 years, sure. Never sell all your BTC, there is no asset like it. Even 1BTC can make you very wealthy in the next 10 years or so.
Not impossible but it is a difficult endeavor to be achieved. We haven't even reach the current dream of 100k USD per bitcoin so I don't think that we have to dwell on that. 10 years is a long time and hopefully we can realize that price or at the least reach a tenth of the 10m USD per bitcoin.
2586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bit Coin Doesn't Work As A Hedge If Fiat Currencies Collapse on: February 24, 2021, 04:15:41 AM
I'd rather stick to the subjective theory of value which basically says things got their value out of people's need or desire for it. Man, Bitcoin may be a worthless piece of shit to you. But tell that to the millions of unbanked people, to millionaires and billionaires around the world trying to keep their wealth's worth, and to the richest man on this planet who finds Bitcoin a sort of a refuge in the face of a fiat currency which offers nothing but negative real interest.[1] If you say Bitcoin is worthless without fiat, then perhaps you need to go back to the start and try to get the tiniest of inkling about it.
Isn't that how fiat got its value too? If there were ever a collapse, billionaires and the people that are controlling the market will try to curtail the total collapse and I don't think that they will consider bitcoin because they know that ordinary people will have power if they were to consider bitcoin as a store of value in the event of collapse. I mean OP is somewhat right, bitcoin is basing its value on USD or other fiat currencies but if a collapse were to happen, I don't think bitcoin will be the first thing that will come to the minds of the people who needs to survive everyday.
2587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Downtimes during Panic Trading will cause the next Crypto Market Crash on: February 24, 2021, 03:28:27 AM
A temporary price crash would be really beneficial for the long-term holders.
This kinds of crash are what separates the real long-term hodlers from faux long-term hodlers. It is also beneficial for traders that are shorting the prices and those who want to get in at a lower price although the shorting is debatable, if you do it cleanly then there is no problem. If the price continues to go down, I think that I want to buy more of what I currently hodling.
2588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not serving its purpose ANYMORE transfer waiting 48hr even paid high on: February 24, 2021, 02:42:31 AM
You could have paid more to make the transaction faster, the network congestion is just too big of a problem so I think that you should just be patient when it comes to this kind of thing, unless you really need the money, I think that you will be alright. Someday this problem with network congestion will be solved by the developers because I believe that this is one of the many problems that bitcoin has to address so it can face no problem when it becomes widely adopted.
2589  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think we will see a lot of weak hands at $100K on: February 23, 2021, 11:22:35 AM
Not even up to $100k and lots of weak hands and laying off the bags making sharp price drop but I gues with next terget at $60k and above. Lots of surprises in the next couple of days.
I wouldn't say weak hands, I would consider them more of a traders, they know the opportunity so they have to profit from it. Hodling alone will not be a good thing for you if you are dealing with bitcoin because you will see the market going up and down all the time so you might as well exploit the fact that you see it and trade your bitcoin. It is a good thing that they are laying off the bags right now because others will buy more bitcoin.
2590  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crashed below $48K, is the bull market in danger? on: February 23, 2021, 10:36:13 AM
Honestly I doubt the price could crash below $45K and whether the bull market is gonna end or not I don't really know for sure but seeing the adoption and institutional investors it's gonna be tougher for bitcoin to go deep down. I expect people would just buy it back at certain price and the correciton is to be expected since bitcoin rally has been going up really high so far.
Don't doubt, expect that it will go down but do not panic about it because this is as they said a correction, price will bounce back up again. The best thing to do is to buy more bitcoin at a lower price because this is an opportunity to buy bitcoin.
2591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is the right time to gamble on football. on: February 23, 2021, 09:52:58 AM
I got this kind of thing with me back then when I was still gambling big time. Not all the rules are followed but there are some similarities and the game is basketball and not football, I wanted to try football back then but it was around the time that I was quitting gambling so I can't do it. I would agree that it should be fun, betting as a profession is not a good thing because there is uncertainty that you can't control unlike card games like poker where there is uncertainty but those are controllable uncertainties.
2592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice games on: February 23, 2021, 09:19:25 AM
The only strategy which seems to be the best, and wasn't listed in your opening post is the Martingale strategy. There is also the Anti-Martingale.
It basically relies on doubling or multiple of your initial bet(depending on the risk), and doing it until you have a win. The winning bet will ensure you profit with your initial bet, so you have to start small.
However, people have had insane streaks of losses even with that. Personally I have had 30 straight losses when I programmed a bot to start from a very small bet size. I have seen photos of even 35 losing streak, and since the bet size increases exponentially, your entire bankroll can be wiped away if such a streak happens.
Not a good strategy to be honest, you might experience lose streaks and you will incur loss far faster than what you do the normal way. Imagine if you lost 1 USD and you bet 2 USD and then you lost again so you have to bet 4 USD and you lose again and so on. You might get lucky some times but you are relying on something that doesn't have a guarantee that it will happen. It is better known as Gambler's fallacy where you believe that you just have to continue playing because your turn might come finally.
2593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for site with good soccer prediction for free! on: February 23, 2021, 08:35:57 AM
You should never trust other people's forecasts, this is a sure way to lose your money. If you are unsure of your bets, then it is best not to play such games at all.
Even if that person is a sports analyst? Some sports analyst give their takeaway on the game and they can predict on who wins or lose because they know the game and the player. It's not every time that a person's game forecast will make you lose money, just go to the right ones and you will be good to go.
2594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WHAT happened to goosebet.io on: February 23, 2021, 07:56:00 AM
the site is now close they did run with lots of people money.
Wow, they really did run away after all this time. Too bad that there are some people that lost their money and the only good thing about this is that the website is not that famous of a website. There should be a complaint filed against the owner of this website because they will definitely do it again because they know that people will just let go when they got swindled.

Not really that bad to test out waters but only on small amounts of money for you to play specially if you are dealing with new gambling sites and even those popular websites
at the moment did really start on being a newbie site but do able to build up their reputation as the years passed. This isnt something that can be attained for a short time.
It is not bad to test but look at all the issues with established gambling website on the Scam Accusations board. A lot of the users is having problem with the gambling websites that they are playing in, you know of the saying about being good at first but the longer you know the worse it becomes.
2596  Other / Off-topic / Re: Deontay Wilder: He makes another WILD conspiracy theory about his loss to Fury on: February 23, 2021, 06:40:57 AM
This is unfortunately what ends up killing the drive of many fighters, the media hypes them and then they think they are in fact as big as the hype only to find out later they were not, it was obvious Fury was the best out of the two when it came to technique and pure boxing ability, he is taller, heavier, has a longer reach and a long list of qualities that he had above Wilder, the only thing that Wilder had over him was his incredible punching power, but Fury very rapidly figured out that Wilder needs a lot of space to generate that power so he was over him all the fight, tired him out and then destroyed him.
It is not just the media that is hyping up the fighters, the fans of those fighters that are borderline psychotic are some of the reasons that the fighter might get some delusions of grandeur to the point that he/she thinks that he/she can defeat anyone. Rabid fanbase is the worst thing a celebrity can have because it indirectly affects you psychologically. I think that Wilder can still do some good fights but if he thinks that this fight with Fury is a career ending then it will probably come true.

I was frustrated that my thread about giving away merits didn't receive any traction. I know that what I did is stupid but please don't make a big deal out of it. I won't do it again so no worries. I hope that I will clear the air here.
2598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take team's cohesion into account when betting? on: February 22, 2021, 09:44:11 AM
I think it does because they would play better if they have some kind of connection.
Just like if they have been playing together for so long they could easily pick up what their other team mates would do.
It's called a team sport after all, if they do not have that basic connection with each other, I think that they will lose very often than anyone would expect. I don't think that you need to consider that when you are betting, the performance of the team shows their cohesion and cooperation with the others. What you need to look out for is the best players on that team and check their individual performance because they can carry the game.
2599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fixed Matches - Winning Experience. on: February 22, 2021, 08:35:11 AM
Had run-ins back then on people that are offering this kind of thing, observed them at first and saw that they profit big money on it although those that bet on them didn't get as much as a squat. I wouldn't recommend playing fixed games, it's cheating in a way and cheats will be a problem. Be careful about this transaction with someone that messaged you on Telegram aka the Scammer's Paradise.

As far as my knowledge goes, stake doesn't accept investors because it totally and completely runs on its own bankroll. There are so many gambling sites which are popular that accepts crypto investments, bitvest, for just an example. Anyone can invest in it with a click.
Too bad that Stake.com won't accept investors. I plan to invest in their website myself but I guess I have to save that money for another website to invest. AFAIK bustabit and bustadice are good website for crypto investments, there was a thread by someone who had invested in both website, I already forgot who because there doesn't seem to be an update on that one.
