1681  Other / Meta / Re: {LIST}of the Merit Sources asking for more smerit. New Round. on: June 12, 2021, 02:22:42 PM
Can anyone give sMerit besides theymos? i really want to give my sMerit to some of them because I don't have any use with it and I am not one to judge for a quality in a post.
1682  Other / Meta / Re: RECOMMENDATION FOR GENERATING FUNDS on: June 12, 2021, 01:28:59 PM
Dude, charging to use the forum is one of the worst monetization ideas I've ever come across.
Exactly, users are going to drop down and it will defeat the purpose of a forum, because in definition, everyone should be able to join in a discussion. Good thing that OP is just a newbie because that kind of greedy and cancerous behavior shouldn't continue to exist.
1683  Other / Meta / Re: Can moderators be asked to close threads of banned accounts? on: June 12, 2021, 12:26:09 PM
It's a difficult case because there are some banned users that have contributed some good threads so deleting their threads is somewhat debatable also I think that we should leave it to the moderators discretion whether they should delete the thread or not.
1684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Elon going to sell his BTCs? on: June 12, 2021, 11:03:11 AM
Elon doesn't have bitcoin, his company Tesla has bought the bitcoin meaning that there will be some sort of board of directors that he has to answer to and have them all agree to sell the bitcoin.
1685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't you think Bitcoin will die over the summer? on: June 12, 2021, 08:35:29 AM
Death in this context is taken so lightly, what do you exactly meant with bitcoin dying? That it will be abandoned? That's a stupid thing to say don't you think? Also, summer is different for different countries so I don't think that it will die in the summer.
1686  Economy / Speculation / Re: I cannot stop buying on: June 12, 2021, 07:59:00 AM
May luck always be with you if you have such a habit, because it is like playing with risk, but it can still be faced with various things that can be learned from time to time, if you really like bitcoin.. of course you can understand a lot of things and manage what you do.
Loving bitcoin doesn't mean dissolved without knowledge, especially in terms of investing.
OP doesn't need luck, what OP need is patience to be able to hodl for long because I am pretty sure that panic will definitely set when OP is buying bitcoin everyday and the prices go down.
1687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mining plants in China are shutting down. How will this be reflected on Btc on: June 12, 2021, 07:10:43 AM
Maybe it will affect bitcoin in some back end way since there is a lot of things that Chinese mining is a big contributor but in the grand scale of things, I am pretty sure that these shut down is going to be a big deal because the mining can always migrate to other places although it will take some time or a lot of companies.
1688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who were the morons that bought 60k bitcoin? on: June 12, 2021, 06:27:51 AM
~
people who don't have insight and education are like that, even though there is no problem buying bitcoins above $50k,
because this is an asset not gambling!, it's very sad that the OP gave bad statements about people who bought over $50k,
I hope he can realize and admit his mistakes in this thread
I don't think that he will be sorry, I was once like that and let me tell you that it's hard to ask for forgiveness. That's the problem is that people who have to least insight and knowledge are the ones that will talk.
1689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another upcoming big events, Bitcoin price valuation and halving events. on: June 12, 2021, 05:27:43 AM
I didn't mind the next halving and I find that we are again a little closer to it. That's pretty crazy if you think about it that it's only 4 years for another halving. Hopefully we can see the prices going up again in the next halving.
1690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is fearfull. Someone said this is time to be greedy on: June 11, 2021, 12:05:44 PM
For people not really familiar with how the cryptomarket works, it'll be an extremely dangerous advice since they do not know how to gauge the current market and how deep the rabbithole can really go. Perhaps buying in small increments would be better compared to being 'greedy' especially to small-time investors trying crypto for the first time. It's always the better option really for people who don't have much money to just go small and take it easy even if experienced people are saying go ham and go all in.
If they aren't familiar but at the least knowledgeable, I am pretty sure that they can tread on their own in the market. Familiarity will come next when that person has been on the market long enough. I would say that if you are sure about your decision and you won't regret any of it, then do what you think is right.
1691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who were the morons that bought 60k bitcoin? on: June 11, 2021, 09:49:46 AM
Is it self-gratifying for you OP to call the people who bought at 60k morons? If so then you are probably a pathetic person because that's what pathetic persons do, they try to make you stupid when they are the one that has the problems.
1692  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Fiat on: June 11, 2021, 09:15:56 AM
It's so sad that inflation has eaten up everything we have in the name of making some shit income from banks that has been milking us dry since the 70s and 80s.
I don't even know exactly what they have had into people. Saving, just an ordinary interest rate that are insignificant to our life.
Your pictures speak of of just a single solution, invest in cryptocurrency now or wait after 10 years and see your $1000 becomes $10. Such an irony.  Cry
The problem with the inflation is that it couldn't really hurt the people if in parallel with the growth of inflation, the wages for the workers are growing which isn't the case because the government is far too corrupt to give workers a leeway.
1693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly a safe-haven asset? on: June 11, 2021, 08:36:43 AM
I think most investment have inherent risk and I don't think that bitcoin is going to be considered as a safe haven asset because bitcoin is volatile and no people would want their money lose 50% in just a matter of day even if they hold for long-term because panic will still set.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Musk cares for $TSLA, not Bitcoin on: June 11, 2021, 07:16:57 AM
My own greed and Musk manipulation left me with nothing
I hope that you have learned a lesson regarding investing and following influential people for investing signals. Also, this shouldn't be a no-brainer that he cares about Tesla more than bitcoin, it's his company after all.
1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack FOMOs on Bitcoin on: June 11, 2021, 06:42:32 AM
I'm a little tired of the price moving by twit. To prefer, I'd rather have his and others' twits drive the price up but since I'm going long term, I don't really care in the end.
Even if we are tired of seeing it, we can't stop the movement of the market and the influence of the Tweets by influential personalities. Me too, I am on the long-term so nothing worries me too much but I am pretty sure that any good news is good for me.
1696  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal tender definition on: June 11, 2021, 05:52:20 AM
According to Wikipedia, legal tender is defined as a coin or a bank note that is recognized by the court of law as a way to monetary debt. So in the context of El Salvador making bitcoin a legal tender, it doesn't necessarily mean that bitcoin is used for everyday currency but they can be used and is recognized in the country.
1697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now the IMF comes in! on: June 11, 2021, 04:16:09 AM
If poverty is rampant, then that also means that they don't have access to electronic devices that is used to access bitcoin in the first place, unless the government has the ability to provide some way for their poor populace to access bitcoin then I think their decision on making bitcoin a legal tender will always be on hot water.
1698  Economy / Economics / Re: Ransomware hacks linked to Crypto are killing Bitcoin slowly !! on: June 10, 2021, 12:13:29 PM
If the white hats found a way to counter the black hats and locate the money even in crypto, I am pretty sure that they can prevent the death of bitcoin. Also, it's not going to be an outright ban for the government just because it was used for cybercrime, I am sure that regulations will still be useful for this one.
1699  Economy / Economics / Re: Fintech recruitment agency gifts every new hire their profits in crypto on: June 10, 2021, 11:07:13 AM
100% of their profits going back to the workers and the society sounds too suspicious. How then would they maintain the company since their profit is completely given to charity. Even for NGOs they still need constant profit to maintain their services not talk of a company who is established on the ground of making profit. There is really no harm in giving it a try since that's the only of getting full conviction.
From my knowledge, most companies that do these don't last long and the successful ones are continuously looking for a balance that will make their company survive and have the clients and workers still satisfied.
1700  Economy / Economics / Re: I want to start a crypto project, gimme advice on: June 10, 2021, 10:20:37 AM
Your project probably involves some programmers.
So my advice for hiring a programmer or coders that will create your crypto project, if ever you don't have experience in coding or you will not do coding, is to outsource especially if you are from an expensive country.
For now, I can say that the developers in cryptocurrency or coders that are into crypto are still very few, so expect that you will need to pay much higher compare to common coders like coding websites, mobile apps, desktop apps that are non-cryptocurrency related.
You can hire some freelancer, you can try upwork for that or any other freelancer websites.
The problem with this one is that OP is that the programmers have to be a loyal and will stick to the start up through ups and downs and given how it is close to impossible to live without money these days, I am pretty sure that OP needs a lot of money for the loyalty of these programmers.
