The DNotes market report for Monday, May 28, 2018 Since CoinMarketcap does not recognize any active DNotes markets, and our only market right now is NLexch (not recognized by CMC), I am reporting what's going on with that market once a day so that we can all be apprised of the current market price for DNotes. I'm also participating as a buyer trying to accumulate more DNotes with minimal impact on the market. My strategy is to place limit buy orders and only buy the sell side when I see an order that is significantly lower than the next ask price until the gap between bid and ask closes. We again saw two distinct periods of market action--around 1:00 AM MDT and then around 3:00 PM with some small trades made through around 8:00 PM. We also seem to have found a price floor at 299 Sathoshi, as several times over the past two days I had buy orders at 298 and down, 299, 300 and up, and my 299 and 300 and up orders would get completely filled but my 298 order would not be touched. I still have standing buy orders at 298 just to make sure. The bulk of the trades today happened at 299 and 300 Satoshi putting the price at 0.021374 USD. However, the high price today is 400 and the last price is 375, or 0.026717 USD. Currently highest bid is 325 and lowest ask is 375. Twenty-four hour volume cracked 100,000 NOTE, and right now sits at 103,891.45 NOTE. This is the first time I have seen more than 100,000 NOTE volume since I began tracking this. If you would like to buy BTC to be able to buy DNotes (or for any other reason), I would like to recommend GDAX. GDAX is the exchange built by Coinbase. You use the exact same login procedure and you can instantly add funds to your GDAX account from your Coinbase walelts. You can also withdraw to your Coinbase wallets as well as other options including directly to an address of your choice. Not only is GDAX a well laid out and functioning exchange, but you can do all your trading and withdrawing on it with no fees. If you use Coinbase to buy/sell Bitcoin, you will be paying a lot in fees. On GDAX, as long as your trades start out as limit orders, you get charged no fees at all. Leon Redinger on the Telegram channel told me about GDAX' no fee trading, so now I'm passing along the info. Thank you for your report Wiser Also for buying BTC for users in Europe I could recommend Bitstamp. It is exchange which is also well established and had been running for quite some years now. I'm buying there and have only good experience. But I don't know if it is also working in USA or not. Can someone of DNotes team also give some report what is currently in development and what feature/upgrade will be out next? Or is now the priority exchange listing? I have seen that Cryptopia listed quite a few coins this days, it is really not cool of them to delay DNotes for such long time Wish you all a great day...it is morning here in my part of the Europe

Yesterday was the fist round of CRISP rewards? When will the rewards be seen on the DNotes Vault balance? And I see that market in general is in red again What was this time? UK Financial regulator opening the investigations in crypto business? At times like that I'm even happier that DNotes is doing thing differently. Yes it may take more time before we finally take off, but at least it will be done properly... Hi Amadeus, block 86400 will be the cutoff and block 96480 will be payout. We are currently at block, 79081, so getting close, but the estimate is less than 2 weeks. The CRISP payments will show up in your DNotesVault account immediately after the payout is complete. The payout, as of now, should complete within 1 block, but in the future it could take multiple blocks to complete. Will update the estimates in the FAQ's. Great, thank you for the answer Looking forward to the first round of rewards

DNotes to be listed on CryptalDash ExchangeWe have been talking to the great people at CryptalDash exchange, and have arranged for DNotes to be listed on June 19, 2018 when they complete their beta phase. In the negotiation process CryptalDash proved very professional, and we believe that they could well grow very quickly to become one of the major exchanges. Read the full post on their blog here: https://medium.com/@cryptaldashcoin/trade-dnotes-note-on-the-cryptaldash-exchange-697dd3f80a1d Great news! And of course great interview Tim! It is nice to see some progress being made with exchanges, really looking forward to further news and announcements!

Received an update from Cryptopia:
They have requested an additional 48 hours to get back to us with further information on our listing. As soon as we have further information, we will let everyone know. Thank you for patience!
I'm sure that they will have some good news this time Since they have started to list the coins again I think that at worst we should expect some slight delay

Excuse me, Are they still working on it or is it definitely dead now?
Apparently there were some updates to the code recently (May 13 2018 - 5 days ago) https://imgur.com/a/B3t8Iukbut still despite the fact that this coin has amazing technological advantages i would consider it dead. Poloniex purposely has the wallet offline for more than a year while bittrex delisted it......facts are not optimistic in here. As Pon13 said, facts are not in favour of this coin. I think that this is why cryptocurrencies need some regulations. The developers of this coin and similar coins which were suddenly abandoned should be put in jail because of fraud I think that developers know exactly that they will dump the coin, so they made some "announcements" in November and December 2017 to pump the coin...my guess is that at the time they sold their coins, and by doing that cheated the investors who bought the coin at higher price, based on the fake announcements.

We know everyone is anxiously awaiting news from Cryptopia, we have just at this moment reached out to Cryptopia and will post a response as soon as we receive it.
Great Looking forward to some good news In the meanwhile all the coins are in red again....it seems that people had (too) high expectations for Consensus 2018 and they were not meet

I have noticed that Cryptopia obviously started to list new coins again, seems like a good news They have listed 3 new in the last 3-4 days, according to their twitter account: https://twitter.com/cryptopia_nz So it seems that it should not be long until DNotes will also finally get listed, which is of course awesome! Thank you for sharing, Amadeus82. I trust that you are correct - "it should not be long until DNotes will also finally get listed." Of course Dyna, if they are rensuming with the listing process, they obviously are sorting out the legal issues. I'm really glad that the wheels are in move again, great news for DNotes

I must say that in this whole situation with Cryptopia listing, the only thing that I find a little disappointing, is that they let us know about delay in listing only about one or two days prior to when actual listing should happen This is maybe a little unprofessional from their side, because DNotes (and also me) already shared a lot of post and news of listing on May 12th. Now in the eyes of some investors we (DNotes and all who help promoting it) could be seen like the ones who are not serious and professional, because the listing date was changed so close to when actual listing should happen. In the long run I suppose it does not matter, but as now, I think it is important to explain the investors why it came to this situation. I think that team already made a good work on that, especially with published letter of Alan Young, so I think we shall be just fine Hi, Amadeus82. Your points are well taken. It is disappointing to see DNotes listing placed on hold a day before it was supposed to be listed. We may never know for sure what happened. I trust that my letter could help them reach a legal opinion beyond any reasonable doubts that, like Bitcoin, DNotes is not a “security” but a “token” because it has never been used as an investment funding vehicle to raise capital. Dear Dyna, that was really inconvenient thing for Cryptopia to do. I think that's exactly why it is important to get on at least few exchanges, so Dnotes would not be dependent on the whim of just the one But yes I know...it is easier said that done...

Whooo I'm just looking at the crypto markets, they are strongly in red today Is that related to any bad news, because I did not find any And more importantly...just one more day and DNotes will be listed on Cryptopia. I'm really curious what price will it reach Still, have no intention of selling mine

I totally agree with the point Chezzz is making. Developers have been active since the beginning and were always in touch with the investors. If you look at some other coins, developers often do not regularly communicate with the public and respond to forum posts. Or at least not very often. So thumbs up for DNotes team Can't wait to see this one listed on Cryptopia on Saturday

Great article Tim I must say that when I first bought the DNotes about a year ago, I was slightly disappointed with the lack of growth in value and thought that no progress is being made. But after some time I came to realise what the team is doing and become more and more impressed by their work In the mean time some coins in which I invested turned out to be scams or the teams simply abandoned them. But not DNotes. The team kept up the good and steady work and showed that they can be trusted. If they keep up the good work like that I absolutely believe that they will succeed and reach their goals Even today this is one of the rare coins which I dare recommend to everyone who is looking into some good long term investment. I'm positively sure that they won't be disappointed with this one!

A Public Message to YoBit: You are Taking Advantage of Unsuspecting Users
YoBit, your decision to continue trading the now-defunct DNotes V1 is causing harm to your exchange users - some of whom may be unaware that DNotes recently upgraded to DNotes 2.0. You have failed to provide a single warning about the upgrade, and have made no effort to minimize user confusion. This does serious harm to the industry, its customers, and your exchange's brand.
It is unfair for you to continue to take advantage of those users by allowing them to purchase or trade coins on a blockchain that we no longer support. These customers have placed their trust in your company, and you are doing them a grave disservice by failing to delist the old version of DNotes.
We urge you to halt all trading of DNotes V1 immediately, and take action to delist the coin.
To YoBit exchange users looking to trade DNotes:
Please be advised that DNotes no longer provides support for DNotes V1, as that coin has been upgraded to DNotes 2.0. Newly purchased DNotes cannot be swapped for DNotes 2.0. While we will continue to bend over backwards to ensure that our supporters and all other legitimate DNotes holders can exchange their old DNotes for DNotes 2.0, there are technical limitations which prevent us from assisting those who purchase DNotes from YoBit.
We value our community and our industry, and do not want to see any of you taken advantage of in this manner. We urge each of you to do your due diligence before purchasing any digital currency.
Nice post! I suggest also putting it on Twitter and Telegram. I did read about some bad user experience with YoBit and obviously they really cannot be trusted and are not professional in their business

Thank you for great explanation As I have read some time ago, you have also intention to make cold staking from DNotes vault available? In that case that risk you were talking about earlier would probably be eliminated?

Hi. Can someone please explain the process of staking a little bit more? Is there any risk involved if I stake my coins?
Hi Amadeus82, the risk exposure is limited to your ability to ensure the computer you are staking on is safe. The points of risk are: When you create the wallet, before it is encrypted, and when you enter your encryption password. Most people are willing to assume some risk, using simple security methods to limit their exposure, such as: Make multiple backups of encrypted wallets. Ensure you have up to date antivirus / antimalware. Turn off the wifi when entering passwords. Keeping the kids off the PC you are staking on. Or even having a fairly clean and updated pc just for staking. You can develop methods to eliminate pretty much all of the risk, but the processes can be cumbersome and quite technical. There are many possibilities, but here is one example: Have a dedicated PC with a boot up clean boot CD or USB image. Boot from the clean image of your OS with no connection to the internet. Create your wallet. Encrypt your wallet. Backup your wallet to a USB drive. Load your wallet and unlock for staking. Connect to the internet. Send in your coins. Each time you have to re-enter the password, you boot from the clean image with the internet off, and enter the password offline, and only then turn on the internet. Whoo that seems pretty drastic measures. Is there really such high risk that someone would hack the computer and steal wallet or encryption password? Does that happen often? Does the computer has to be turned on for staking to work? If so does it use much processing power, like for mining?

Guys great job fixing the issue with the chain However Coinmarketcap still does not find DNotes if you type it in their search box. Will the issue be fixed automatically now when chain is working again?
