I saw a 500 BTC sell order on C-CEX yesterday. Comments?

It doesn't mean anything, I could literally put a sell order of 100 Rox at 10 BTC each and it would appear in the sell orders for 1k BTC, although it will never reach it.

Yeah, I still have an 86,000 BTC sell order of SPICE over at the scifi-ex right now, if that exchange is even open still.  Maybe I should check it, my order coulda filled in the past few months  ::fingers crossed::

Is the block explorer right?  Downloaded new wallet and can't get it to sync up.

Did you follow instructions on the OP?
Backup wallet, clear Roaming Data folder, Run Wallet again, Restore Wallet - Should sync up (Mine did).

Yes, I did.  First couple times it kept giving me some off the wall block count, like I was off on my own chain or something.

I am synced now I believe, at the moment I am typing this, on block 5600.  The block explorer doesn't seem to be updating though, still shows 5457 over there.

Bittrex would be great for NUD, but yeah, gotta tackle that block explorer issue.  I have donated some BTC to the official development fund.  I know that was meant for other things, but a block explorer and possibly an external miner are probably the two things NUD needs most right now.  We could also be collecting NUD for development bounties.

265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: --- [ANN] [XXX] XXXcoin --- 100% PoS 33 MILLION --- ANON TOR PAYMENT --- BITTREX on: July 01, 2014, 09:50:21 AM
If I could offer some advice, if you REALLY want to set this coin apart, build a decentralized cam network to where girls could get paid directly and not have a middle man instead of messing with this anon fad first.

exactly. that's the point: decentralized without intermediares

Download the qt, open your wallet, here are all your XXXcoins, and oh whats this extra tab over here?........HOLY FUCK!  It's live feeds of cam girls, hundreds to choose from!  I can pay them and watch them insert large phallic objects into every orifice on their bodies, all from the freaking wallet!  I'm not even into cam girls, but I would jerk off to that just based on how amazing it would be.  Hold up, gotta hit up amazon for a case of Kleenex so I can be prepared, later guys!

hi to all. Well, I don't like how this guy exposed his concept, but I though about it tonight and I admit that a wallet with a directly line with cam girls could be the top. oh ooh.  Consider it like a brainstorming. In my view, this is some things that such XXX wallet should have:

- Oviously, a disclaimer button for majority age
- Price converter in fiat value ( at least only for reading and for make friendly the wallet for all)
- Feedback system for the girls ( if there are not intermediares, the customer must be guardanteed and not be scammed)
- Possibility of block for nations ( obviously cam models don't like the risk to be recognized by someone of their friend, so for example if I m a german girl maybe I prefer to work with all the rest of the world)

Why yes:

- decentralized system could allow to the cam models to work without intermediares, wich means more gain. Cam models often change the website where they work because of the high percentage deduct by the owner of the site. Some of those deduct even the 70%. It means that with this kind of wallet we bring to the table a job instrument. Obviosuly it must be accompanied by marketing campaign, but in this way I think we have strong argument for media coverage and not just air in the mouth

- weak point

Crypto mechanism
The success of this initiative will grow proportionally with the knowledge of the crypto mechanism, but a bigger gain surely will stimulate the interest of a lot of people ( if the publicity find the right channels: cam girls communities, twitter campaign ext..). I think that the real challenge is to make a such instrument easy to use: to help cam models to obtain immediatly their btc after been paied in XXX... how to do it? Easier the way to introduce newbies in the crypto, faster the success. But I repeat, this is a job instrument and like all the job instruments every person need to have the patience to learn. We have to look farther: this is really an original thing

Enjoy your day, today no gift, we didn't achieve 1000 sat because the community members prefer to dump Smiley you regret it, my dear

Note: don't bored me with all these dumps, there is the risk that I lose my interest. I don't like to be refused Smiley

Agreed, this dude is a total douche but a genius none the less.  Cam girls in the wallet!?!?!?  Fucking amazing concept.

Fuck TOR, fuck anon, all you need is to load up the wallet and see a beautiful 19 year old cunt and asshole staring at you.

WE WANT CAM GIRLS IN THE WALLET!!!  Can you imagine the insanity this would create within the alt community?

DEVS, DROP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING AT THE MOMENT AND FOCUS ON IMPLEMENTING THIS BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, SOMEONE WILL DO IT BEFORE YOU.

2014.06.30 - Anonymous coin sending via mixing service + Tor, new Cam site:
Development:
We are talking with a guy, who got a new idea to make a cam site where users can pay with BTC / XXX,
we will help him to make the payment system.

Tor:
One of our developer in the new wallet could connect to the testnet network via Tor socks, we will add Tor when the new wallet version is ready.

Anon sending:
We are working on a new AnonX mixing implementation, see the graph below to see in what will it differ
from the current darksending / sharedcoin systems,
only one disadvantage is that it will require a centralization, but this disadvantage is small if we look at the new advantages what it can give us.

Community managers and bounties:
We are talking with najzenmajsen and techsolution to accept our community manager position, because the devs don't have time to manage
the forum thread, the payment sites just took too much time from our freetime.
We will pay the bounties, please everyone contact us soon, unfortunately one of the developer deleted the messages, because there were too big mess,
so we need the address again, many pool haven't send their address.

Premine:
We discussed it with the community, and we decided it is not a good idea to store it in another exchange, it have security issues, and we will have
an inside exchange in our payment site too, and if one exchange holds another exchange's coin, is never a good idea.
Still no escrow contacted to us, but we think that would be the best idea, they can stake the wallet too, what exchanges won't do.

And last night the price was 50 satoshi, our whole premine was worth 1 btc (we paid more on licenses last night),
anybody could buy more XXX at bittrex than we have in premine, with a very little btc investment.
So we don't see why people still talking about it, many people have a lot more XXX coin than the whole premine sum.

bump

NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE PAYMENT SYSTEM, TOR AND ANONYMITY IS A GIMMICK ANYWAY, PUT VAGINAS IN THE WALLET NOW!!
266  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 01, 2014, 08:42:40 AM
The fact that bitmain has included 2 extra pci-e connectors solely for purposes of overclocking, and they are hyping how cool, quiet, and efficient they are, leads me to believe these little guys may have a lot of headroom when it comes to overclocking.  S1 saw an increase in hashrate of around 10% when overclocked.  Say the S3 can overclock ~20% higher hashrate, now you are in the 560-570 ghs range.  That is starting to sound like a pretty good deal for .75 BTC.

Of course this is all conjecture, but plausible.  Hmmmm.....it is taking a lot of willpower to not open my BTC wallet and order 2 more right now.

As per the datasheet values below, S3 can be overclocked to 504Ghs and further to 554Ghs.
The stock clock speed is set in between 225M and 250M and voltage per chip lies in between 0.72Vand 0.75V per chip (366W/S3).
When overclocking to 504Ghs it will be consuming around 390W at 250M Clockspeed.
And when overclocking to 554Ghs the clock speed might be 275M and power consumption around  488Watts.
Further overclocking may not be possible, everything lies in finding the sweet spot frequency.
Take a look at DC-DC converters, they are a lot in nos, do you have any idea? Even this new chip consumes lower voltage than S1.

S3 Datasheet Values
Voltage(V) | Hash Rate(GH/s) | Current(A) | Total power(W) | W/GH
0.72                14.18                 10.40             7.49             0.528
0.75                15.75                 12.24             9.18             0.583

400                    25.20               08f2         10.6                     10

Ahhh...I hadn't seen this data sheet.  Thanks.

Well, it seems that 500ghs+ is virtually guaranteed.  So we are looking at a bare minimum of a terahash for 1.5 BTC, or approx. 975$ at the moment I am typing this.

It may not ROI, it may not be shipping for another 9 days, but if you want to buy a SHA-256 miner, there is nothing else on the market right now that can touch the S3.

Holy fuck, hash rate just doubled in a matter of an hour.  That is not me and my piddly amazon instances.

yeah my hetzner server didn't find a block since last night..

So pointless to try and mine with CPU then right?

not really, look @ it this way the network hash as of this moment is around 550k my i7 cpu hashes around 3.5k so my chances are 1 out of 157 blocks, the last block i hit has around 130+ confirmations so its kinda expected since the network hash just doubled since last night there are around 576 blocks a day @ 2.5min block time so im kinda expected to get around 3-4 blocks a day with wallet mining, so CPU mining is not pointless.

+1

Hashrate feels high now, but only in comparison to how ridiculously low it was.  Any decent consumer desktop CPU can still find a few blocks a day.

Is anyone successfully running the linux daemon?  I am a linux newb but trying to learn, good god how the fuck does anyone put up with this nonsense?  I prefer my shit to just work.

Every version of Ubuntu I have tried, I get stuck at something about libboost 1.0.49 or something.  Updating libboost library doesn't help.

On Debian 7.0, I get past the libboost shit, and get stuck at GLIBC_2.15 and GLIBC 2.14 not found.

If you are running the linux daemon, plus let me know your distro and what dependencies were required, because I am lost.

I've mined on Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04 without any problems.  Admittedly, boost is a pain in the ass if you get the versions messed up, but if you are starting from a clean install, this should work on the distros above:
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install git
sudo apt-get install build-essential libboost-all-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libdb5.1-dev libdb5.1++-dev mysql-server
cd ~
wget http://62.210.217.242/master.zip

from there, install unzip, compile the source, set up your config file and let er rip

Linux doesn't ever *just work*.  Google every error you get for like a month, and you will begin to see how computers work.

How to compile source?  I think I got the rest of it down, maybe, idk.  Today is literally the first time I have ever touched linux, it is all greek to me, but I feel my neckbeard growing strong and hearty already.
OK, get yourself into the /nud/src dir
Code:
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-
this is not unique to NUD.  Let me know if you have any problems

Yeah, I know it's not unique to NUD.  But yeah, make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- is what I did, and it didn't work.

Idk, I musta fucked up somewhere else.

Ugh, let me try this again.  Freaking amazon EC2 windows instances raping me right now.

if you are going to do things like this, you will burn some money.  what are your errors?  post them here.  i, or somebody else can maybe help you.  it takes patience.

Will report back later.  Started fresh from the drawing board.

The problem I am having is like you said, this stuff isn't unique to NUD, but I find about 3 dozen different guides to compiling a coin from source on linux, and they are all just a little bit different from one another.  Different distros, slightly different versions of the dependencies, etc.  Makes things confusing.

Oh well, this is how we learn.  Sent .2 BTC to the dev fund because I figure if I have 120$ to burn up on windows EC2 instances in a day, I got 120$ to donate to development.

CPU coin with new algo and wallet qt
im interesting in this  Grin

This coin can be mined with CPU??

Quote
Since NUD is a CPU coin and is very likely to remain so in the foreseeable future your rewards would be large and the potential to earn for your effort maximized. No other mining methods except the official client are available.

i just read from first page
and if it mine with wallet, it supposed to be CPU miner (i think)

hhmm, not sure how to set this up but have one computer free to do some CPU mining.  Any chance someone can post some instructions how to get this setup and running?

Open wallet, debug, type "setgenerate true -1" in console, hit enter.  Thats it.

274  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 01, 2014, 12:39:05 AM
I'm having a hard time with this...

I certainly WANT to buy up a number of these...I even was ready to pull the trigger on another rack at my co-lo here for the hosting.

But running the numbers I'm having 0 luck making it make sense...
I'm seeing positive returns die after 4 months, with maybe 60-70% of the initial cost being recouped (after electricity costs) before they would need to be shut down. Even if I ran them at home with a slightly lower hosting cost it's a no-go.

Is anyone able to pull together numbers that make sense? Or are we rushing to buy these because we want new toys?

And remember...the argument of buying them in the hopes of BTC skyrocketing just means you may as well spend your money on more coins, or holding the ones you have...

Start mining as soon as you get the S3, and keep tabs on what they are selling for around the web... From my experience, mining for 50%-75% of the miners life on full tilt or OC'd if possible gives you enough coin (barring no crazy drops in value) that you can then sell the miner for some profit.. I have done this with a few 1TH+ machines and it has yet to fail. I'm hoping the same is true with smaller power, more in demand antminers..

Edit: this is my first time buying new, so it might not work out. In the past i've bought used, mined for a few weeks then flipped for the same price i paid on ebay. They  pay crazy prices over there, just factor in ebay and paypal fees.

This is pretty much my strategy with all ASICs.  If you want until it doesn't even pay for it's electricity anymore, NOTHING is gonna ROI.  Give your S3 a good home for a few months while the hashrate it offers is somewhat respectable, then sell it at an inflated price to some dummy on ebay who doesn't realize it is nearly obsolete hardware.  If you wait until it isn't paying for it's own electricity anymore, the market is flooded with them.  Gotta beat the other miners to the 2nd hand market.  Kinda takes a long time to see any sort of return and it's not much, but it gives me a new toy to play with for a few months and earns me a few hundred bucks or a fraction of a BTC in the end, so what the hell.

Of course this is tough to do if your goal is investing big in hardware.  I'm just a small time miner, it'll be easy for me to sell off my 2 S3's in a few months.  Now if you had hundreds of them.....yeah it's a pretty bad investment.

Fuck you c-cex, fucking burn you thieving incompetent fucks.

I have been repaid a total of 0.03 BTC out of the 3.05 BTC I was owed since the hack in Feb.

I go back to check my account today to see how much of a pittance they have repaid and oh no, I said something mean about it in the trollbox.

What do they do?  Not ban me from chat, what any other REPUTABLE exchange would do, THEY CLOSE MY ACCOUNT!  The reason? Abuse.  Fuck you assholes, you still owe my over 3 BTC, nearly 2000$ and I am supposed to watch what I say?!?!?  You are supposed to be kissing my ass!

As if I didn't already know I was never getting my BTC back, now there is no doubt.  They even stole my random collection of shit coins I house there!

Wish this exchange would just fuck off and die already.

Feedback from a customer here as well, you seem to ignore this one.
