I still need to work out a few things before i want to enjoy my bounty  Seems to work at first glance, I see that the chain explorer is powered by nginx + PHP judging by the server response headers I would be curious to hear how did kalisto make it work and perhaps share his implementation.

Anyway i have setup the backend server (still needs stress testing) but for now its stable enough. Had a fight with the server the last 24 hour.. whenever the system restarted the coin deamon got killed in the upstart process because the blockchain told me the checkpoints where out-of-date. No wonder with a faulty hwclock lol. Anyway its fixed now The updated blockexplorer is hosted on another domain from now (redirect is in place for old bookmarks). Some of you mentioned making the first post more presentable and up to date, it's a good idea, and we do see ourselves that it's important but our time is limited due to work. There is nothing we would love more then working all day on this project but it currently doesn't pay the bills. We are doing our best and things will definitely go smoother now that I'm here. Difficulty is already skyrocketing, so I need to weigh my greed vs. generosity to the devs and desire to actually see progress on the coin. I never understood why people say 500% annual interest on TEK. 40% interest per month compounding 12 times works out to like 5600% annual interest. That's why I've been slowly selling off alot of my TEK throughout the price rise the past month. I know this isn't a TEK thread, but since I saw that figure mentioned in the ANN again, just thought I'd ask.

A new bug which allows renegade delegates to crash clients has been discovered, this is precisely why I intend to keep the topic and the website in "production mode" as to not involve the non crypto savvy individuals that will inevitably pump the price up to all hell.
Paying 25k Satoshi per coin is borderline insane, I wouldn't pay more than 0.1BTC per 10k NUD at the current stage of development, the version is 0.0.0.4 after all.

Now this is an honest dev right here! Actually talking down his own coin, now that is rare. Unless......your plan is to buy up loads of it on the forums really cheap before pushing it onto an exchange and beginning a massive pump and dump. I'm on to you and your schemes now! SCAM! SCAM! Nah, but seriously, I think many people are recognizing that even in the beta state NUD is in, it still has far more potential and innovative ideas behind it than just about any new coin I've seen in a long long time. I've been buying at 10k satoshis. Loads of shitty clone coins with a fraction of the potential of NUD selling for more than that. But when ya get down to it, compared to their utility and acceptance, virtually all alts are overpriced anyway. |

maybe it is anon feature working perfectly?
I just gave it a shot and combined all my NUD into one address. It showed up immediately on the block explorer. Your transactions will still show on the block explorer, the anonymous feature is on the protocol level (TOR), not blockchain level. Your NUD is probably in a whole bunch of different addresses and you don't know it. Make a new address and send all your NUD to yourself. Should show up correctly then. The coin offers anonymity on both the protocol level (TOR) and the blockchain level, that is the whole original innovation of the coin, despite the fact that the blockchain level mixing is rather simple it can already match and surpass blockchain.info shared send. Plus I have yet to see any other coin offer a functional blockchain mixer which is better than ours, it's already pretty great but I could improve it a lot more. I have tried blockchain.info shared send and the transaction failed. I hope that in the latest versions after the reduced blockchain has been introduced every transaction will be like an onion with pieces of peanuts in between every layer (rewards), once the onion is relayed to a delegate the delegate may only peel one layer to get the peanut and relay it to the next delegate, this would be repeated multiple times with the amount breaking down and joining back. The best way to implement this would be to have a "Mix" button in NUD-qt and perhaps teach our users to press it every time they intend to escape taint, the wallet would send all of NUD back to itself on fresh addresses so if the user wants to pay someone that person wouldn't experience any additional delays while the onion is being peeled. Thus we get: A) Transactions that are just as fast as normal ones. B) Complete anonymity, higher in standard than anything introduced so far. Our problem is significant lack of resources but I am not worried at all at this point. WHAT!?!?!?! My favorite coin has features I hadn't even noticed? How did I miss this? Curious, so if the min stake age was set to an hour in the latest version of the wallet, the blockchain measures time in blocks, not actual time correct? So these coins I withdrew would need not be eligible for 60 blocks, not literally an hour? If thats the case, then yeah, we need a fork and community takeover because we won't ever get that far.

I have like 3000 TECH I withdrew from bittrex 2 days ago, broken up into about a dozen different transactions. They are all still 3 blocks away from confirming. If we can get a few more blocks to move and get these guys eligible for stake, it should be enough to get the blockchain moving.

On a totally unrelated topic, quite a few community members are offering up BTC and NUD for bounties, specifically for an external miner and block explorer. If the dev is okay with doing it, I propose separate donation addresses be set up for these community bounties. We can have the official development fund, and then addresses to collect the community proposed bounties. It would make things much simpler when it comes time to pay them out, rather than having to track down coins from half a dozen different forum members. A trusted community member could be chosen to handle these funds if the dev does not want to do it. Just a thought. And jesus christ, will someone please tell me to go get laid or something? I've practically been living in this thread lately. |
