261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much you earn in bounty hunting for the year 2019-2020 on: August 26, 2020, 05:28:26 PM
I have only done one campaign this year but it was a lengthy one and its tokens are still not listed so are not liquid and they are developing their own dex and platform development is in progress.
I hope i will end up with good reward out of it and also with the current campaign i am doing.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: August 26, 2020, 03:32:24 PM
Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?
The name does matter and that is why projects opt for short, modern, easy to spell and remember names.
It is also important for branding.
If name was not important can you imagine remembering projects as project 96352 etc?? That would have been awful.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: August 26, 2020, 02:48:16 PM
We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.
ICOs are still somehow surviving and i have seen some good projects with ico model recently just because they do not want to pay high fee to list as an IEO on a good exchange so they decide to open ico from their website only. I think whichever fund raising method they chose if the project and team is authentic we should support them and if there is something suspicious then obviously we should expose them and discourage them.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are your top 5 coins for HODL? on: August 26, 2020, 02:13:28 PM
What are some of your favorite long term HODL coins?

I particularly have these in my portfolio for HODL:
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Cardano
Tron
Still trying to figure out the fifth one to hold for a long term good return.

Your favorite coins with a bright forseeable future?
I have quite similar portfolio as you have posted.
For fifth coin you should consider icon, neo, waves, vechain, matic, atom, nano or reserve rights because all these are legit and have potential to grow.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: August 25, 2020, 08:12:53 PM
as of today, Polkadot entered top ten list of coins, pushing BNB out from the top ten, and BSV on the position ten
Polkadot is smart contract platform, and could be serious contender to Ethereum and other platforms, with Cardano just a few percents away on position eight

what do you think about it?
Polkadot has been received well by the market and due to listing from big exchanges its tokens called DOT have found immediate demand and buyers with high efficiency of polkadot smart contracts im sure they will be able to do well.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: August 25, 2020, 05:28:55 PM
Who among us here have been victims of almost perfect Whitepaper?
Those sublimely well-written, full of excellent ideas and proposals that turned out to be a piece of crap!
Reading whitepaper is not enough to be a basis of investing in crypto because almost everyone can write whatever they want,
they even promise you the Moon and Stars.

So, be careful now in choosing ICOs, as much as possible look for projects that at least have initially implemented the products or services, if not the whole.

It was relevant at the time of your post but now most of the bad, fake or low quality projects are mostly pointed out by the community and people stay away from them and i have seen such projects with failed icos and not been able to raise any funds.
On the other hands good projects are selling nicely and it is easier to identify good projects now than it was like 2 years ago.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is very excited at the moment. on: August 25, 2020, 02:12:28 PM
After much speculation the value of bitcoin has been $12,000. Bitcoin is currently priced at $12,000. Bitcoin has actually been able to show that bitcoin is the king of the crypto world. As the price of bitcoin has risen, so have the prices of other cryptocurrencies. Ethereum, Litecoin etc coin prices have risen. What is going to happen in the market. What do you think about all this cryptocurrency? Let's discuss in detail.
It really feels exciting and great to see bitcoin moving but somehow at this stage it is lacking the required momentum. If the momentum would have been there we would have seen 14k by now. Anyways. I think btc is eventually reach there and then it will break previous high price level it is just taking some time which is good as support is getting stronger.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REALITIES & CHALLENGES OF INVESTMENT PLATFORMS. on: August 25, 2020, 01:34:53 PM
I recently stumbled on crypto based investment platform called allbullish and pennywise and am really skeptical about investing in it, the challenges of investing in most crypto investment platform is that most of this platforms lack regulations and continuity. How can one know a genuine crypto investment platform?
Most of these crypto investment platforms are fake. They do not provide any value to the investors. They are more like money grabbing schemes where they bet with your money or simply run a ponzi scheme and sooner or later they will fail and exit.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can be the reasons for this exponential growth of #DeFi? on: August 24, 2020, 09:14:26 PM
Have a look at the Digital Asset Market Performance of last week.  What can be the reasons for this exponential growth of #DeFi?

👍 https://www.bitcurate.com is the best place to analyze, research, understand, and forecast your #cryptocurrency investments.

The exponential growth of defi is nothing but simply the result of the business model, it is basic human nature to look for passive income, extra/second income or additional residual revenue streams. All these things are what make defi attractive and a lot of crypto investor are lured to stake their holdings in defi in expectation of good returns.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: August 24, 2020, 08:47:25 PM
There are many crypto token listed in coinmarketcap and been traded in top exchanges like binance, Yobit and lDex exchange which people consider as proficient enough in the cryptocurrency market and knowing well that Eth is ranking number 2 position in the coinmarketcap, let's discuss Do you think that any new crypto currency overtake Eth in times of price value can that be possible?
In terms of price yes that is possible and already you can check many projects with more token price than eth but in terms of rank and market cap i do not think that any coin can make it bigger than eth and then sustain it, few years ago ripple did that for a short while but then gone back down and with the extended ecosystem i think ethereum will move far ahead in coming years.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: August 24, 2020, 07:02:17 PM
As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?
I do not know how you came to the conclusion that ripple can take over bitcoin, if you are talking in terms of marketcap bitcoin is way ahead and when the ripple will grow bitcoin will move first because mostly bitcoin is the first mover of the exponential bull runs so i do not think that is going to happen.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum and ETHER difference on: August 24, 2020, 03:21:35 PM
I used to call it ether as well at the start of my crypto journey and i still remember that some senior members corrected me that it is not ether rather it is simply eth so from then onwards i only use eth for it and since then eth is my biggest holding and i love to hold eth for longterm.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in NEO now? on: August 24, 2020, 11:53:10 AM

I observe that the NEO coin has been sideways for more than a year in the 0.00156BTC-0.00160BTC range. I want to invest some in this coin. Is this the best price range yet?
Please give me advice. Thank all!

No one can predict exact tops and bottoms but yes neo seems to find support range and it is ranging here for months which could be a sign of accumulation before big rally so maybe good time to enter now.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Has Left His Own Privacy Asset Project on: August 20, 2020, 11:52:28 AM
He is a strange guy, although i liked his work uptill his antivirus stuff. Now this drama could just be a fud to buy those coins for cheap and then make things back to normal for max profits, who knows..
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Explores Ten Instant Payments Platforms on: August 20, 2020, 10:25:55 AM
Good to see some dolid developments from ripple and i think it will be a great feature to send or receive ripple for payments directly from the most used messengers and apps. This is definitely something innovative and will help towards crypto awareness and adoption as well.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: August 19, 2020, 08:31:43 PM
After losing a lot to icos and useless coins and projects I have come to the point that staying in btc or eth is the best longterm strategy. Yes there are good alts and you should take aggressive approach and enter when you see good entry but keeping your majority portfolio in btc or eth will save you in all markets.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what new coins are promising? on: August 19, 2020, 02:52:20 PM
hey guys, i have been holding since 1Q2017, and pretty much closed my eyes on crypto since the huge crash.
i see its getting back on its feet slowly, just been wondering are there any new coins that are looking good and promising. i could dyor them but it would take at least a week Smiley

thanks!
As there is a big wave of DeFi coins and new ones are doing exceptionally well, recent ones released are MantraDAO with OM ticker i guess and DeFiPie with PIE ticker seem good but do your own research before jumping in.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull run is coming? on: August 19, 2020, 12:45:01 PM
According to Binance CEO - CZ, activity on Binance exchange is higher than in December 2017. According to PlanB that created stock-to-flow model, the bull run is here, his claim is based on the value of RSI that is currently on 64 points. And the last positive claim comes from Goldstein that said that Bitcoin already has value more than $100,000 because there are statistically more people that will hold BTC to this level.  Wink
We are already at the start of parabolic bull run and i think market and hodlers richly deserve it after hodling for so long especially in months and months of bearish market but still hodling deserves a big reward now in shape of bull run.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sports Industry taking over the Crypto space on: August 19, 2020, 11:13:47 AM
Anyone here heard about Chilliz and the partnerships they have been signing recently. I beleive the sport industry is going to take over the crypto space sooner or later because i see a great movement in what they are building. They have signed partnership with so many big Footbal clubs and i am so excited with what they are building.
Brother, it is other way around, blockchain technology and crypto is taking over all the industries and sectors among which sports is also one of them. Slowly but surely crypto will be adopted everywhere and we will see it in our everyday life more and more.

YAM token
1.https://yam.finance/

https://www.gate.io/trade/yam_usdt

What happened?

The team launched the project without auditing a smart contract
Added PR, hyped social networks and launched token sale
The price has risen to $ 175 per token.
Due to a critical error in the smart contract code, the token price drops to 70 cents.
https://medium.com/@yamfinance/yam-post-rescue-attempt-update-c9c90c05953f
Liquidity is lost on the 1inch and Uniswap exchanges.
Gate.io and Bibox continue to trade a scam Smiley

YAM 2.0 is coming, we are waiting for the continuation of the party

MEME token
2.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5268573.msg55019734#msg55019734

So what will happen to the failed YAM holders and investors? I mean will they get refund or will their tokens be swapped to YAM 2.0 automatically when the dev launch it as announced? Can you please confirm this.
