261  Other / Meta / Re: Is there cases of members with massive positive Trust that ended up scamming? on: January 02, 2015, 10:04:15 AM
Yes he stole user deposits. I think you are quite right. The WWW is the perfect place for crime, there is no skill required to hide your identity (TOR) so we have to use more multi sig escrow!

I agree multi sig escrow would solve a lot of the issues. Getting everyone to use it seems to be the only issue at this time.

Even with multisig escrow, you will still need to trust the escrow to some degree.
You could still lose your bitcoin if the escrow is the same person as the counterparty, or if the escrow and counterpart collude to share the bitcoin.
262  Other / Meta / Re: Bump Spam on: January 02, 2015, 09:37:28 AM
I wasn't really aware of that rule, but I think there should be a stickied topic regarding the bumping problem.

For your information, there is a sticky thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3629.0 in the marketplace section.

Marketplace rules and guidelines
1. Trading of goods that are illegal in the seller's or buyer's country is forbidden.
2. Insert a [CLOSED] tag to the subject line when your offer is no more open.
3. To prevent illegal trades involving hacked accounts, there are special restrictions when selling accounts and invites for invite-only sites. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134779.0
4. Bumps are limited to once per day (24 hours), yes this includes "updates", that's what the edit button is for. Old bumps should be deleted as they serve no purpose, and only clutter up topics and make it more annoying to read.

It was probably banned while it was being held in escrow. I don't think bans happen as soon as you break some rule that would cause a ban because only a limited number of moderators have the authority to ban.

What is written in red explains it very clearly. You were making insubstantial posts and were wearing a paid signature. Your post history shows mostly very short posts and your account is still wearing a paid signature.

It is my understanding that ban lengths tend to start as being short (a few days to a week?) and escalate up to 60 days which is your final warning. I believe if your behavior continues once your ban expires then you will likely receive a permanent ban

Exactly.

From the length of the ban, I am sure your account was banned for spamming previously as well.
Either you have bought the account from a spammer, or you should have figured out the cause of the ban.
264  Other / Meta / Re: Bump Spam on: January 02, 2015, 09:21:53 AM
As a bitcointalk user, it is extremely hard for you to prove those accounts are controlled by the same person. Yes, it is suspicious but I don't think mods would or should remove the posts just for that.

On the other hand, admins (theymos and badbear) can see the IPs, and so may be they can verify that for you.
265  Other / Meta / Re: I Cannot Post Reply On Posts! on: January 02, 2015, 09:13:52 AM
You need to wait 360 seconds to post after you have logged in, sent a PM or posted (I think leaving trust counts for this as well).

Not sure about trust feedback, but searching the forum is counted as well, and so you could use google search instead.

266  Other / Meta / Re: THIS IS THE REAL MOREIA!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!! on: January 02, 2015, 09:00:29 AM

Redsn0w ADMITTED to taking control of my account.

Sorry for be offtopic, but i am so curious. Is this regular escrow ( or whatever service redsnow was doing) procedure, to give someone your forum account password?

When you want to borrow some bitcoin, you will need to give some collateral to the lender except in rare cases that the lender trusts you so much. Since there is an active market of bitcointalk account, some lenders accept bitcointalk accounts as a form of loan collateral.

hit this beauty tonight after 22654 rolls: https://i.imgur.com/M0q6ecw.png

unfortunately made only the 1btc back that i lost earlier from a generous donation, though - but still very happy i did not bust Smiley

if i had busted at least i could have said i tipped almost 100 people earlier Smiley

Nice 2.4 btc win, hui.

View it from another perceptive, you may have won this bet just because karma pays you back.
So you should tip another 100 people now, and hope for another great win tomorrow. Wink

Can I open browser when I play. i mean other browsers.

Why not? I don't see any problem for you to open tabs/browsers to visit other sites. You may have a slightly higher ping, but shouldn't be a problem.
269  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCDEMON 2 The most freely dice game you have met | 1% Edge | Chat | Free BTC on: December 31, 2014, 08:42:53 AM
You have spelled "Verification" wrongly as "Verifycation" and the text is a bit hard to read IMO mainly due to the text color.
270  Economy / Gambling / Re: Daily 0.1 - 1.5 BTC win from Dice site & strong headache to Dice admin/owner on: December 31, 2014, 08:39:16 AM
If you have 15 btc and want to get 1.5 btc, just wager all your balance in one single 90% bet. It is not only faster, easier and gives you a higher success rate.

Will be possible to invest in alt-coins?

To my understanding, the invest function has been working for altcoins for a long time already. Just hover over the invest button, and you will see a drop down for different coins.

Please just lock the thread.
People obviously don't have enough patience to read your "The giveaway is over" in your OP.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.10.0 has been released on: December 28, 2014, 06:11:58 PM
Why isn't this listed on the forum news link above? It still shows 0.9.3.

It's still a release candidate.

I see, thanks.

The forum news now rotates between "Help test the latest unstable version of Bitcoin Core: 0.10.0rc1." and "Latest stable version of Bitcoin Core: 0.9.3".

Thanks for all the core devs.

Ponzi owners don't want to spend a few bucks to get a domain nowadays, and they still expect you to trust them and send your bitcoin to them. Grin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387

hey remove pbmining from your thread

They still pay and have plans for january. This is good example for newbies what can happen, so i think that should to stay just specification should be changed.

TBH, I believe the ponzi has collapsed completely and that so-called January recovery program is probably just for the owner to buy some more time.

There are still a few low-paying campaigns newbies can join, such as the followings.

278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Miners from Pakistan on: December 27, 2014, 06:53:26 AM
-snip-

Rite now i am looking for mining hardware's , is anyone sale here in pakistan ?

Mining using current hardware wont give you profit unless u have free electricity. So, either wait for Gen4 chips or try some very low cost cloud mining.

Some cloudmining companies are able to provide hashrate at a cheap price, because they are running a ponzi. You should be careful checking the site before buying a mining contract.
279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: noob in bitcoin on: December 27, 2014, 06:46:01 AM
Cloud mining is a ponzi scheme but people keep invest because they believe about the promise profit. They wont last long, when they get lot of btc the site will shut down and run away

I heard many times that they are ponzi schemes but nobody ever proved that they are, or atleast give good arguments.

Please clarify, i`m really interested why you think they are ponzi?

I mean if you buy a contract from them, then they buy mining equipment on that money, and they give you a share % of what they earned from mining based on the % of what you invested. Sounds sustainable income to me.

Of course it works only if the BTC price wont fall any more, but it sounds legit to me, please prove that this is not the case.

The problem is many of the cloudmining companies never prove they are actually mining.
Puppet has done a great review on them. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0
280  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coin-Sweeper.com - Find as many coins as you can without clicking a bomb! on: December 26, 2014, 11:59:22 PM
I like to play a game with a lower risk so I alwayas choose 3-bombs game. Never had any problems with coin-sweeper, so far everything is running smoothly.

you gotta try this game, you'll love it

What's difference with maximum-bomb game? Do you have better profit when you choose the maximum?

With more bombs on the board, you will have a higher chance of getting a bomb and also a higher winning multiplier.
