261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: April 10, 2016, 03:55:51 PM
I have never had success with any method, not even martingale which for some reason is the most famous one. I don't know if it worked in the past, but nowadays it's futile. No such thing as safe gambling exists without a exploit.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is in the midst of a civil war" on: April 10, 2016, 03:51:33 PM
To reach consensus it means a constant debate, because there is never total consensus. The system works and things are moving in the right direction. These articles are just FUD clickbait from jealous people that own no coins. Focus on getting more BTC and don't waste time reading crap.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash: The Future Internet Of Money? on: April 08, 2016, 06:11:10 PM

I think we will not need Dash or any other altcoin to have privacy in crypto anyway. Most of the development is happening on Bitcoin. Sooner or later Bitcoin will become optionally as anonymous as all those "anonymous altcoins" and all the money on those coins will come back to Bitcoin. With Confidential Transactions, CoinJoin and more, Bitcoin will have no competition for anonymity as well.
264  Economy / Gambling / Re: I turned 1 BTC into 41.5 BTC! Now I want to withdraw... on: April 08, 2016, 06:08:49 PM
Just looked at his post history, his last post was February 25th & they still hadn't paid him then. That was 5 days after the OP.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=200868;sa=showPosts

He hasn't posted since 25th Feb so we don't know what happened?
Interesting. Well, he was either lying, or he did get that amount of money for real and became too excited to keep posting on internet forums and is now just chilling in the Bahamas getting some sun. That's what I would do if I stopped being broke out of nowhere, get a nice vacation and lower my stress levels with some nice views and get some sun while I drink some good stuff.

Still making a post about it, making it official would be a good gesture I think. For those that decide to play in the same site, and for the site as well, since it would be a good promotion.

I think another possibility is that he didn't got paid or he lost the money and became depressed and doesn't want to come back to tell about it, or maybe he lost his account password, or maybe he is right and he left to some island to enjoy his wealth, who knows.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: April 08, 2016, 05:55:52 PM
With some people shock therapy works: Do a gamble with a ton of money, lose it, then you will be too depressed to ever gamble again, or at least not gamble again in years. This worked with me and haven't gambled since then.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PACQUIAO OR BRADLEY???????? on: April 08, 2016, 05:48:09 PM
As far as I know it's Pacman's retirement fight, so he will go all-in, he will put everything he can do to retire with a win, retiring with tasting defeat as the last fight ever sucks for anyone that has ever competed in anything. I think he will win, my bet goes to Pacman on this one.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maidsafe coin price downfall? on: April 08, 2016, 05:42:42 PM
I think both MAID and ETH will lose volume because all the money is starting to go back to Bitcoin because at the end of the day everyone just wants more Bitcoin and doesn't care about any other alts, and the halving is near.
This doesn't mean those 2 coins will not go up in the future again tho.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum reach a billion market cap this year? on: April 08, 2016, 05:34:39 PM
I think Ethereum is a good altcoin, but it has yet to be seen if it can scale as much as Bitcoin. The blockchain from this coin is already humongous.
People that think Ethereum will replace Bitcoin are most definitely delusional.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: April 08, 2016, 05:29:30 PM
One question

Who defines what is good or bad? Is there only one definition? (ok 2 questions Grin)

Nothing defines good or bad, but we define good or bad by what is good for us as a society in general and what is bad.
Without getting in philosophic debates, Bitcoin, just like any other currency, can be used for good or bad. Just like a gun, you can shoot the bad guys or shoot innocent people, it's not the gun's fault.

I tried again and It worked now, even tho it hasnt showed up on my wallet yet but in the blockchain it shows as 1 confirmation, my wallet is still syncing to so I guess it will appear soon. Thanks for the correct payment and hope your campaign comes back soon. I will remove signature now.
272  Economy / Services / Re: BetKing.io Signature Campaign (FULL) on: February 02, 2016, 07:02:10 PM
I recieved the payment but i can't withdraw for some reason. Can you PM me and I will send you an address so you can send them to me? I was counting on this money to pay some bills so I need them quick, but they are stuck and can't withdraw.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: US Debt Has Exploded on: January 29, 2016, 04:26:35 PM
QE4 is coming soon. USA and EUR and CHN will keep getting deeper and deeper into their own demise no matter how high or low the price of their currencies go, the only way is down, and we are going to be getting closer to the final crash day by day. No amount of QE can save this this flawed system.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: The Dollar Keeps Rising, for Good or Evil on: January 29, 2016, 03:48:09 PM
The dollar has still a good 20 to 30 years to go in my opinion. in 10 years, things will look very different. Bitcoin will be 5 figures minimum and the use will be widespread already, and it will be a direct competitor. In 20 years, anyone holding 21 BTC now will be rich, and we will start seeing some serious stuff, with dollar collapse type news in mainstream media. in 30 years, im afraid some sort of big war may have happened, and BTC will reign supreme as the to-go currency, defeating gold as the global value standard.

Of course, this all may happen in 10 years for all I know.
275  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Can sidechains mimick Maidsafe features as well? on: January 29, 2016, 03:40:18 PM
There's this notion of side-chains basically deprecating everything that altcoins have to offer, including ambitious projects like Ethereum. As we have seen with Rootstock, we can have Ethereum basically using BTC thanks to sidechains. Of course I will need to see further development to fully buy in, but it's looking promising.

My question is if sidechains would allow to run something like Maidsafe, which is a mega ambitious project (older than Bitcoin) to run through BTC as well thanks to a sidechain. Let's remember that Maidsafe basically attempts to replace the entire internet into a decentralized network where apps can be built for this network and so on, and the SafeCoin would be a token that you get by giving some hard disk space to the network.

Im just wondering what devs think of Maidsafe and if in the future a sidechain could mimic it's features therefore rendering SafeCoin as a token as a yet another irrelevant altcoin. Right now Maidsafe is the only thing that isn't BTC that I consider holding long term, and maybe some XMR as well even tho Bitcoin is starting to look better and better privacy wise for the future so I may sell my XMR at some point and stay 100% BTC only.
276  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Suggestion: Button that check/uncheck "send this transaction anonymously" on: January 29, 2016, 03:35:16 PM
why do some people delete the posts again? get an anonymous nickname and post your thoughts. just thoughts and work are valuable not the person itself.

it was a thought that a landlord could increase the rent if he will find out through your salary payment address that your boss increased your salary. and that is true. by the public ledger we don't have the private environments as banks have it. and therefore we need special mechanisms to grant usual privacy as banks have it too except in the case the government want to know it but this is then not possible by Bitcoin.

Who did delete posts and what posts? I personally didn't delete anything.

Anyway, as you said we need this extra privacy, and it's happening, I have hope that if Core devs continue on charge and not the hard forking buffoons, we will continue getting increased privacy and increased decentralization. The 0.12 update will be easy to run with Tor, I think from what i've read, all it takes is opening the Core wallet, then Tor, or at the opposite order, or actually at any order but just having both opened at the same time and that's all. Also with CT and BIP47 coming in the future, we will have a very respectable level of privacy and Bitcoin will start looking more like cash, as it should have been since day 1.
277  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new panic wave is growing. on: January 29, 2016, 01:09:18 AM
There's no solution but Bitcoin. If you are considering dumping your coins for an altcoin you deserve what's coming to you: Total and absolute loss of your funds, as you are betting into a loser. If you are not betting Bitcoin, you are in the losser team, and you'll meet your only fate: Failure.

Core devs will continue making a good job, in 6 month's well be crusing the ATH. Just sit back, hold and enjoy getting rich.
278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go sub 400! on: January 29, 2016, 01:06:51 AM
Jesus Christ so many kwuduck threads, this guy must work here full time advocating the doom of Bitcoin. I wonder how many threads he has done in 2015 alone, if someone counts them let me know.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unsustainable, according to Vice on: January 29, 2016, 01:00:46 AM
Oh no, Bitcoin fees are so high! Really? There's no point in debating this thing anymore. Fees will be irrelevant once LN is released since they will be cheap af. Even block size was increased in order to have cheaper fees on-chain, people would still use LN nonetheless because who wants to pay extra fees for on-chain transactions unless you are buying a car or something.
280  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here part of "1 million club"? on: January 28, 2016, 07:50:19 PM
I think it is silly for terms like "1 million club", "100k club" or ">100BTC club".

To me there is only 2 clubs: "bitcoiner" or "non-bitcoiner" clubs...

Well I think its really relevant. You can own 1 satoshi, and you would be part of the bitcoiner club, but I don't think that's remarkable. Owning 21 BTC puts you in a super elite, but since it's still not a lot of money (I mean it is for me and most of us, but in the grand scheme of things 8.278 USD is nothing) we don't really value what owning 21 BTC means in the future.
Although in the grand scheme of things 8278 is not much, for most people they don't have enough belief in the rise of bitcoins. Even if they talk about it, a guaranteed rise in price is not there, and we should understand that in the moment they may not want to spend 8 grand on bitcoins.

Early miners are probably feeling pretty great, though.

Yeah but that's the thing, we are so early in the game, that we should feel good since we are still qualifying as early adopters, and at the same time, 8 grand is very prohibitive for most people, so there isn't that big amount of people that can afford 8 grand worth fo bitcoin to enter that club, BUT there are a ton of fiat out there, because there are a ton of fiat whales. What im saying is, no matter what, few people will be part of 1 million club from now on, because entry price is too high now (but at the same time still doable if you are committed).
