Eodguy messaged me and I know in what ballpark he plays. It's a ballpark I cannot afford. Can we have an idea of ballpark? I don't want to look like an ass if I put in an offer. Well an MS70 recently went for 2.2 BTC at auction. The only other MS69 tenth for sale on the forum is marked as 2 BTC. I am flexible on the price and willing to make a reasonable deal. Feel free to make an offer, I won't be offended I promise

Ultimately, while not perfect, grading is the best gauge we have for coin condition. Pictures rarely convey the full picture, and for a globally distributed group of people, a third party independant opinion is the next best thing to having the coin to hand (which generally isnt possible), even if its isnt consistent 100% of the time. Alongside that, always judge the coin not the slab, wherever possible (given the stated limitations of pictures, versus holding a coin and changing the angle of view to see the coin from all angles).
I disagree. High quality pictures are the best gauge for coin condition and proper pictures do convey the 'full picture'. Relying on ANACS grades is unreliable. I don't know why you seem to think that the two are mutually exclusive. I have yet to see a for sale thread that just had an ANACS grade and no pictures. I would rather purchase a coin that has an ANACS grade as well as high quality pictures of it than purchase a coin based on pictures alone. Use your own eyes to confirm the grade given, and if you don't agree then don't buy it. Obviously buy the coin, not the grade. Differences in lighting, the angle the picture is taken at etc. can make it very difficult to accurately gauge the patina, if it has been cleaned, very small scratches or any number of potential issues. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want a second opinion from an impartial expert.

OH Yeah! Come to me my 1 BTC :-)
Good luck Btw off topic does anyone know why my trust went from 50 down to 20. I could have sworn it was 50? escrow.ms and his trust list got removed from DT. Most of them got back again, but some didn't. Some examples (that affected your trust): bithalo snarlpill Yes, I was on escrow.ms DT list. After he was removed, I was taken off Default Trust. It would have been nice to be added back on another DT1 list, especially considering the 160+ hours of volunteer work on the Physical Bitcoin Encyclopedia for the good of our community (this relates more about active contribution vs trust), as well as the many transactions made here. All the people I gave feedback to from sales were impacted. Yeah I'm very surprised that you weren't picked up by anyone on DT1. I saw trust levels fluctuate quite a bit when all of the escrow.ms drama was playing out. It looked like Blazed added you to his DT2 list but then removed you after further review. Obviously Blazed's list is entirely subjective and no explanation is necessary or expected but I would be curious if he wanted to give some insight into his reasoning. In my opinion you have been extremely helpful as well as trustworthy in all of our trades and dealings and seem like a wealth of knowledge on this board.

Hello all! Looking to sell an MS69 Casascius tenth. Feel free to post or PM any questions or offers.

$2500 for 4 stamped BTC symbols? I don't get it....... They must be loaded with GOLD! But looking into the articles, I cannot see how the price could be so high. Art, just like all things, is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Absolutely beautiful paintings! My girlfriend and I loved Candle Sticks and were sad to see that it had already sold. I am constantly talking about Bitcoin and annoying everyone around me as well, my girlfriend is passionate about science and loves everything involving DNA. Do you think that your wife would be interested in doing a Bitcoin/DNA themed piece? I think that BTC's and double helixes would pair together beautifully. Let me know

Has the 2011 Redeemed 25BTC Casascius been sold or is it still available?

The bar now has no price and is open to all offers!
The other one just sold for 4.25 BTC so I assume you're looking for something similar . That's not what it sold for. Would you (or the new owner) mind sharing what it sold for? If the new owner chooses to reveal the sale price or their identity that's their prerogative but at this point all I can say is that it was for more than that.

You purchased them? Several unfunded bars have sold for around 5 BTC. I don't think that's an unreasonable premium for a 1 of 8 Casascius. The most recent public sale is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1171146.0 that sold in less than two days for 5 BTC. around 5 BTC != 5 BTCSaying something was sold doesn't mean he got 5BTC. Also, 5BTC less than 2 months ago would have been on target with my offer, but the BTC price has gone up since then. Issue is you are comparing cash sale vs bitcoin sales now. If you want 5BTC, then stick to your guns and get it. Asking for 5BTC and then entertaining an offer of 3.5 is confusing. I was offering cash like everyone else, but if BTC, I would have offered more. (Not as much as mindtrip did though.) I hope you get what you want. I'm well aware but I happen to know that it sold for the asking price in this case. I apologize for starting the thread out with a fiat value, I was simply continuing the conversation started by bithalo. I am all in BTC personally and value all of my purchases and sales on this forum in BTC. It is easier that way since the fiat value can fluctuate so quickly especially when trying to compare historic sale prices. This forum is one of the few closed BTC systems and I like it that way. I am not entertaining the idea of selling for 3.5 BTC but if someone is willing to offer 3.5 BTC perhaps there is some middle ground that can be found such as 4.5 BTC + shipping. Making a counter offer to an offer is simply good business. I'm always open to opinions or suggestions. It will be interesting to see what the market is currently willing to pay for one of these, I might be way off base.
