Wow 31BTC 3.3K USD and climbing. If I had mine I would sure as hell sell it too. Apply the windfall to a Asicminer Blade and get 10GHs, or buy some mining shares.
264  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling my Jalapeno on Bitmit on: June 13, 2013, 06:53:52 PM
It's a great deal for the seller. Sell 5MGHs Jally for 50BTC, and buy a 10GHs Blade or If your are one of the faithful preorder a KNC Saturn and get back some change.
265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which 7950 is the best for mining?? on: June 13, 2013, 02:56:55 AM
You might want to take a look the The Asicminer USB Block Erupter.  The give you about 333MHs and they can be had for about 1.9BTC if purchased in the forum. Two of these will give you about the same hash for about the same amount of money and they will use a fraction the the power. Use a R pi to run and you dont need to even run a full power hungry pc.

266  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Jalapeno Raspberry Pi @ 36 Watts - Delicious! on: June 12, 2013, 01:53:40 PM
R Pi is great. I have one running xbmc for watching movies stored on my unraid server. I would rather have it hooked up to a Jalapeno making coin. I have a April 4j 2013 order for a upgraded Jalapeno, Ir will prolly be months before it get it. I am considering getting some of the USB Block Erupters, if the price dropped a bit.

accepts cash deposits. Is there anyway i can quickly buy some BTC without taking days to do so.
269  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Which Ati cards should I buy ? on: April 15, 2013, 05:17:32 PM
shouldn't a 7990 see at least 2x600Mh?

You are correct I made a typo, card is a Gigabyte 7970. Clicking the overdrive get 657MH/s
temp is 72c atm.
270  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Which Ati cards should I buy ? on: April 15, 2013, 05:13:27 PM
The 6990 is very hard to find. There is one a Amazon right now for $700. I was making the same search you are last week. The most recommended new card, I have seen in this forum is the 7950. I ended up buying a 7990. On stock setting I am getting 604MH/s.

How hot is your 7990 running and what fan speed? If you haven't lowered your mem clock, it would help lower temperatures (or some people say) although I haven't seen significant improvement with a 6970.

Correction I said 7990 and meant to type 7970. Temp is 63c fan is at 73%. At stock settings. I get 604MH/s running stock. Increasing the cpu clock setting to 1100mhz gets 657MH/s but temps increase to 70c. GPU is in a Coolermaster Hafx. I would prefer to keep the card below 70c. I Not sure of the max temp for the gpu.
271  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: BUying 7970's Which do you recommend... why? on: April 13, 2013, 04:14:26 PM
That's a really interesting topic.
I am about to buy a Gigabyte 7970 GDDR5 GV-R797OC-3GD. These are the only ones in stock unfortunately.
Is there anyone with experience with them?

I just got one yesterday and I am running the Gui Miner from 50BTC. I am getting 604MH/s on stock settings. I plan to get cgminer running and do some tweaking later.

I have a brand new 7970 unopened in the box. Plus 2k usd. It seems not being able to play games on your miner is a deal breaker. But wait, there is more. I will throw in two Level 90 WOW characters a Shadow Priest and a Death Knight. Grin
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoins do you have? on: April 11, 2013, 01:55:07 AM
I have 0.026 BTC, currently worth about $4.00 USD. Any BitCoin millionaires  reading this post please send BTC to the address below. I am down on my luck and unemployed.  I promise not to waste any funds donated. I will only use 10% of the money on  drugs and loose women. I f I get over 100 BTC I will  try toget  my own Avalon ASic and be self sufficient  You know, the whole "Give a man a fish...Teach A Man to fish.

Thanks in ADvance.

276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: April 05, 2013, 07:59:39 PM
New here. A few months back I bought 4.5BTC for about 80USD to buy access to a usenet indexer. The seller never provided the service so the coins just sat in my wallet. Now its worth 640 USD. I just made a pre order for a BFL Jalapeno, hope they ship soon.
