261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LUNA's downfall scare away investors from the crypto market? on: June 13, 2022, 11:24:52 AM
Yeah, he just funded himself through that "recovery" plan that he has proposed to everyone. But look, we can't blame the bear market this time because sure he for sure made money out of this situation and he should pay all of the damages he's done to every investor of his tokens.

But he will never do anything like this,,, if there is anything anyone can take as a lesson from history of altcoin scammers and of Do Kwon himself, it is that he is sticking around to make even more money from all the believers.

I already said before I do not feel sorry for Luna holders but if you guys are reading this,,, please stop the nightmare and stop enriching project devs. Get out and move on.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: June 13, 2022, 09:06:08 AM
Cristiano Ronaldo was not in the team, and Portugal lost. I am not saying that Portugal played badly. They played very well and attacked a lot. But still they could not able to score. Players are more confident when Ronaldo is in the team, which makes their overall gameplay more beautiful. Although Ronaldo's performance has been poor, Ronaldo's presence in the squad has had a profound effect on Portugal's team performance.
They won the first match against Switzerland 4-0. The Czech Republic won 2-0. And Ronaldo was absent from two matches, and Portugal failed to win both.

They already thought they had some important points I guess from when he played,,, 2 goals and an assist in his last appearance. What a nice problem to have though right? Keep the most important goalscorer and prevent the team from trying out new formations with new players? Or train the team for the future but risk losing out on a tournament.

I believe being Nations League, the second option was more attractive Wink
263  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's historical correlation with traditional markets begins to weaken on: June 13, 2022, 07:34:43 AM
I wish this post was true,,, but today we are experiencing a really bad period so far especially because ETH is now below the 2017 ATH,,, and to be living in a time when you are holding ETH that was more valuable 5 years ago, that is something of a warning to BTC.

And yes ETH case is probably the merging news but Bitcoin also dropping is all pointing to stock market and inflation news effects. Tough week for everyone.

I just cannot believe it that I got both scores wrong yesterday. I risked to get a Spain draw and that is such an expensive move as I now went out of the Top 5 and further away from LuckyGuy.

But I guess we should offer congratulations to casperBGD for getting TWO exact scores,,, I can see the yellow cap coming to rest on his head pretty soon Smiley
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: June 13, 2022, 05:18:31 AM
^I saw some picture posted online with the two of them showing their faces so battered looking,,, but trying to smile, and the loser congratulating the winner very well. That is real sportsmanship man versus man and win or lose,,, respect.

Some sports people get so tight on losing or even on winning they just cannot congratulate the better opponent.

Also rdbase I read Joanna retired, tribute faceoff Smiley https://youtu.be/TrYVPh8X9GA
267  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: June 12, 2022, 02:07:03 PM
I'm still having difficulties in believing that Sportsbet.io was established only six years ago. Sportsbet.io has got bigger a lot in six years. For years, the Premier League teams being in the first place they are the sponsor of very big clubs. They are offering quite much chance to their members too. I'm very happy also for having the honour of meeting Steve and the other Sportsbet workers. To many happy years!  🥳🎂🎉🎉

To name even one other casino on this forum who goes out to meet their players I cannot do,,, but to meet tons of players? Sportsbet should do a public meetup for Bitcoin and show everyone outside how it goes for their players. Bitcoin adoption needs people like Sportsbet. 6 more years!  Cheesy Cheesy

Is anyone following Sportsbet partners Sao Paulo and Seria A from Brazil?
They had three draws in a raw but they didn't lose a match since April, and tomorrow they play against America MG.
I think home win could be good bet, and Sao Paulo is always better in their home stadium Estadio do Morumbi.
Currently best goals scorer in league is Calleri from Sao Paulo with nine goals Wink

I used to for sure a lot,,, during the times we had Soccer Blackjack they were one of the most frequent picks Serie A games from Brazil are always full of points (corners and cards and goals all coming in last 10/15 minutes).

I have to admit I stopped following for a while now but this guy Calleri I wonder when he goes to Europe? Wink

Trofo! I cannot believe Croatia won it! I got a nice bet win, and that is after a long time for me too not taking this kind of bet, and somehow they made me happy. Just only,,, too bad I did not go bigger with the bet.
I watched the match. Modric completely changed the game after he came on, truly amazing to see how big of an impact one of the greatest midfielders of all time can have as a sub. Kovacic was immense too.

Not for the first time this year,,, last year or years before. It will not be for the last time to be sure either,,, the master practically carried Real to both titles this season, along with Benzema of course, but you feel like he used up all his credit for 2018 Ballon and then suddenly now he is so good people are looking away.

I wonder why.

^rdbase Hehe no no I meant when I said that about where the location of the matches were. I work in Singapore currently (but unfortunately,,, not the glitzy parts and more like closer to the other big neighbor) and still do not know the areas so well myself BUT somehow did not even realize the matches for this weekend were here Smiley

I always check Sportsbet threads for sure,,,

Anyway Valentina won but round 5 so went that far and great job about your Zhang pick!
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: June 11, 2022, 11:55:17 AM
Thanks, I had a nice 2 days off from work because I did last 2 weeks a long time and managed to fill my nights with football, too bad they do not like giving me rest on weekend or I could try watch new things like UFC.

I already make one bet on Croatia tonight, now I also made a Santos bet @4.86. I like the odds too,,, but that Sevchenko Valentina looks like a sure thing so is my prediction pick Wink
Since your in Asia this UFC will be set in your timezone since it is being hosted in Singapore.
They mentioned an early start time at the end of the weigh-ins so you just might be able to watch it while it is happening instead of the re-runs this UFC event.

How did this even manage to pass under my radar I didn't know  Grin

I always assumed all UFC fights were happening in USA, I know sometimes even in Asia but not in my area/region.

Seems like our sports coverage here at least in the local circles aren't really still aware of UFC things going on, my bad. I just checked and everything is happening around lunch time my time! When I am working!!
272  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: June 11, 2022, 11:23:16 AM
I can try to explain on example of my Croatia. Nation League is important for country coefficient/rating. For instance Croatia needs at least 3rd place, and not the worst 3rd place from all groups, to keep pot 1 placement for qulifiers. Much better to avoid all those teams like Belgium, England, Germany, Spain, Portugal...

Well do not worry you guys can beat Belgium and win me a nice bet, and look at England play they are really not the best team in the world on the pitch, just on the paper!

It can be complicated, and it's complicated even more by the fact that the leagues and the number of teams in those leagues is constantly in flux.

The World Cup qualifications are largely decoupled from the UEFA Nations League.  IIRC the top two teams ranked highest in the Nations will square off against the lowest ranked teams for World Cup qualifications, which obviously gives those top two teams an advantage.  Nations League performance has more influence on placement for the UEFA European Championship.  But, doing poorly in either competition will not result disqualification for the World Cup.

My comments in my previous post were more about which competition offers more visibility and clout.  Every team wants to win every competition for which they're qualified, but a manager has to pick and chose which he wants more.

Thanks for trying to explain but I still do not get it then if largely WC is not related then really what is the point of Nations League except for coefficient (which in the end only helps a little bit).

Top 2 teams means 90% of Nations League teams have nothing to fight for I guess?

Of course it still does not help me in the pool and I think it did not help many of us, but the more important question,,,

And yes like leea said, this last matchs were more normal than the previous.

Yes maybe France needs to put more effort if they want to qualify to the finals , because if you still losing points when you want to recover maybe you can be so far from the top.

Is what is the hell wrong with France? Bookmakers even put them as the favorites before this and if you are the guy defending the title why do you field a team that does not play with your best talents?

UFC Countdown was released a few days ago but just watched it on cable and it was a good one to know the fighters on the main card if you haven't seen them fight before.
Here is the link to the video from the official UFC channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZstTuT9SmOU

Santos I think has the greatest chance to win as the heavy underdog on the card for the UFC #275 main events in Singapore.

Thanks, I had a nice 2 days off from work because I did last 2 weeks a long time and managed to fill my nights with football, too bad they do not like giving me rest on weekend or I could try watch new things like UFC.

276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can crypto go lower than 95% on: June 10, 2022, 09:39:24 AM
It seems we have the same train of thought, I can understand that people want to take greater risks as this means the opportunity of a greater reward, but in that case such risk needs to be taken with the utmost care, if we invest too much money in some of those coins which have high potential but also a high risk we may select all the wrong coins and lose the capital we invested, so with this in mind it is necessary to limit the amount of money we invest in those altcoins just in case we were unable to select the coins that will do well during this bear market.

I honestly cannot understand all of this reference to 'too much money' or 'taking greater risks'.

I know this is a contentious idea but this kind of crypto ínvestment is not really investment but gambling,,, Bitcoin and ETH yes are investments, but anything else that is so unsure has to be treated like a pure gamble.

So what do we do when we gamble? First, assume that all the money we put in is gone. Second, only put in what you can afford to lose.

Do like this and there is no more 'too much money' problem Smiley

Cool to finally see yourself in the winners list right ARR? Why did you use a different username there, was already taken? Wink

Anyway 85 mbtc is not a small sum these days so doing that in one day alone, that is fantastic.

Me personally I do not mind ranking even top 3, but I am doing a very very slow run to try and get my long term goal of VIP by the early start of next year.

Wow 6 years Steve, what is your favorite memory?  Cool

In comments to Trofo, wiss and DireWolf.

I might not get my understanding correct about Nations League but actually even if England get relegated it does not prevent them from progressing, since the group winners are the ones who progress, could it be that actually relegation to B means they might get easier opponents? And extra chance for World Cup?

Or is it only possible to do so from Group A?

I tried to read but confuses me even more. Some reports say win or lose the tournament does not mean anything except for the cup which is like a Charity Shield.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 10, 2022, 07:12:33 AM
LuckyGuy did it again. Got exact points on both games and thanks to England who now has my Kane as the second-highest English goalscorer in internationals.

Yeah, I'm very cheerful about predicting two exact scores on the same day again.   Smiley

Normally it is really hard to predict the exact results of these games but my luck is also still helping me. I just try to make my prediction according to what I feel. I had a big difficulty in doing it for the Germany - England game actually because I thought of the possibility of Germany's win here too. But thankfully I chose a 1-1 draw for it. As for the Italy - Hungary game, many people thought of Italy to win by not conceding any goal. I was also afraid of it but Hungary managed to score and it ended exactly the same as I predicted.  Cheesy

Strange results in all those early games but finally,,, we have 2 nights in a row where the favorites won it, not easy to be sure for everyone except Belgium, but definitely also not as hard as the small margin scoreline makes it out to be.

2 exacts, 1 close and 1 result from the past 2 nights makes me happy. But it is really not easy!

Trofo I will go big on Croatia then so one of us can win something  Grin

Thanks for all the feedback and responses about USDT everyone, yes it is also not my favorite crypto but for sure can understand why people want to use it and even like it, I guess it is still something 'weird' for me to use, I see it really as just a token rather than a real crypto and would never hold anything in it, Luna/Terra collapse among other stablecoin collapses does not do anything to help me feel more confident about it.

Anyway,,, guess who has no work tomorrow and staying up to watch some boring Nations League with tea and fried noodles outside with friends Wink
