2604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: January 25, 2014, 07:22:16 PM
There is no newbie restrictions now.
If you want out of here, just go.

2605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come I can't post? on: January 25, 2014, 07:17:07 PM
I've wanted to help a few people on this forum with my technical knowledge since I'm a web developer and have been studying bitcoin for some time now, but I dont know what I have to do to no longer be considered a 'newbie'...

you need to make 10 posts at newbie section. Try to help some1 here. As you'll get 10 posts you'll be able to post elcewhere

No you don't. You can post everywhere now and the previous restrictions were only 1 posts and a four hour wait.

The 10 posts requirement was LONG gone, but I still see people referring it again and again.
I don't even know how the newcomers know that OLD requirement lol.

Probably sock-puppet accounts by existing users haha. Confuses me where they get this information from too.

Maybe Tongue
2606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we really need so many kinds of coins? on: January 25, 2014, 07:13:55 PM
Read the other day some new company started that is going to offer companies "Brand" coins...

Indeed you can "create" a new coin for just 0.05 btc.
http://coingen.io/

And, It seems they get lots of business.
http://coingen.io/status.html

No wonder there are so many new coins Cheesy

The most difficulty part of making a new coin now is to create a fancy name Cheesy
2607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come I can't post?? on: January 25, 2014, 07:11:58 PM
There is NO newbie jail now.
You just need to wait for 6 minutes after login, and everyone (including those with 0 post) can make their post on any board.
2608  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Resolved] Btc-e withdraw glitch no support please help! on: January 25, 2014, 07:00:34 PM
Glad to see your problem resolved Cheesy
2609  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will we go in the upcoming crash? on: January 25, 2014, 06:52:55 PM
Itīs pretty clear that there is only one direction left right now V .

What makes you think like that?
Care to explain? Cheesy
2610  Other / Meta / Re: Why does it say I'm a newbie? on: January 25, 2014, 06:41:58 PM
Forum rules have changed.

Newbies can post in any forum.

Newbie designation lasts until a higher activity (Activity=30 for Jr. Member)

Newbie forum is moved to Archive.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423995.0

Yes, there was a change on membergroup and you now need 30 activity for Jr Member.
But, for OP and some other people, they have 42 activity but are still newbies because of a bug.

Please refer to the post made by theymos.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425243.20
There's apparently a bug preventing Newbies from being promoted. I'll look into it when I have time. I don't think that there's any major disadvantage to being a Newbie now.
2611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I send bitcoin from MultiBit but they never arrived on: January 25, 2014, 06:34:03 PM
Yeah, your transaction does show up. So your recipient is lying. Tongue

lol this is funny Cheesy

OP, next time you can make a search on https://blockchain.info/ or http://blockexplorer.com/ or http://blockr.io/

If you can find the tx on these sites, you will know your recipient must have received it.
2612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do free faucets pay ? on: January 25, 2014, 06:25:30 PM
I have seen free Bitcoin faucets like freebitco.in, coinlearn.org or coinchat.org and people say they do pay. But how do they ? Just inquisitive...

They pay out dust for hours if not days of work, and they get their money from ads etc. They're not worth your time.

Yep... but both of us are selling our signature space to earn that dust only ...right ?

Not exactly lol.
hilariousandco has over 4000 posts, so I am pretty sure he gets more than dust Cheesy
2613  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow list on: January 25, 2014, 06:21:48 PM
Is the OP regular updated?
If so, would you mind adding a small footnote "Last updated: xxx" ?

The forum automatically does this. If you hover on the time/date of the post you will see when it was last edited.

My bad, I never know that function Tongue
Thanks for your help, gweedo  Grin
2614  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: January 25, 2014, 06:10:18 PM
To those who keep inquiring; YES, TRIBUTE will relaunch. No definitive date yet, but it's in the works, and we look forward to sharing the good news. Thank you for asking Smiley

Please do as many testing as possible this time before launching it.
I don't want to see the whole mess again Tongue
2615  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1BTC raffle 1 in 200 odds 0.001btc entry 76 left on: January 25, 2014, 06:00:33 PM
This is so funny lol.

1. OP registered his account yesterday, and has only made this single post.
2. "as of 1/23 only 76 are left", neither the post nor the account exists as of 1/23.
3. 200 entries total, each entry is 0.001btc, raffling off 1 BTC?, in hopes to raise 1BTC?!!!
4. No one send a dime to that address Tongue
2616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to clean bitcoins? on: January 25, 2014, 05:51:34 PM
Seems like what you need is "Shared Coin", which can be direct used in a blockchain.info wallet.

2618  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: If North Korean government started mining... on: January 25, 2014, 03:42:48 PM
North Korea have in fact taken control of Bitcoin in a joint effort with Russia
Jesus, I guess Europe have to join forces with USA to be able to withhold such attack Cheesy

Looks like the U.S. are gearing up to thwart the attack:

The support on btc-e is really very bad...
It takes a long time to get responds, and sometime, they simply don't respond to the tickets.
