LOL, when I was in college, I made one myself putting my roommate's face on one of the bikini models. It looked wonderful, but he was so pissed at me, especially because I put it as a wallpaper on college's common computer for all students to see.

If I can still find it on my computer, I will share it.
2602  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to LOSE money online? on: April 07, 2014, 08:11:01 AM
For one, buy some MtGox Bitcoins from someone.

Actually that will be a good idea to make money. You will be able to buy Gox BTC for $20 or 30. and who knows, you might be able to sell them sometime in the future.

Yup, especially after MtGox "found" 300,000 BTC in one of their old wallet Cheesy

For one, buy some MtGox Bitcoins from someone.
Secondly, order a next-generation mining card from BFL

2604  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to time travel? on: April 07, 2014, 06:58:10 AM
It is not possible offcorse, but i would be very happy to go back to 2009 and buy some decent amount of BTC or put some BFL miner to mine coins to my wallet Smiley
I'd stuff my pockets full of usb block eruptors and then go back to 2009.

I doubt if that would work. Since USB miners weren't invented then, you would find your pockets empty and then bang your head on wall (if there is a wall nearby, hopefully you don't find yourself in Sahara desert).

Instead just buy a computer and mine thousands of BTC on your CPU.
2605  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to LOSE money online? on: April 07, 2014, 06:49:52 AM
What kind of question is that? Just send your money to me and I will lose it promise.

It was more of a sarcasm pointed towards those 120% Bitcoin Ponzi schemes that are more of gambling than investment, but everyone is free to add their creativity, though.

Maybe invest some money developing a MtGox Android App? Cheesy

Edit:
Let turn thread become a challenge to come up with the most ridiculous (or most innovative, lol) idea of losing money online!

The Nigerian scams are so old-fashioned now. That Nigerian prince must be so old by now, he can't even possibly walk on his feet or read your emails properly.
2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rebrand Darkcoin? on: April 07, 2014, 05:03:18 AM
I really like the name; it gives a robust factor to the identity of the coin. And it goes well with the anonymity feature.
2607  Other / Off-topic / How to LOSE money online? on: April 07, 2014, 04:41:33 AM
Apart from investing in those 120% return Bitcoin Ponzi schemes, anyone know of some good ways to LOSE money online?

2608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start Using mBTC as Standard Denomination? on: April 06, 2014, 05:11:49 AM
I voted for yes, when the BTC prices go higher than $1000, for obvious reason of pricing things in less awkward way; for example pricing a sandwich for 1 mBTC instead of 0.001 BTC.
Until then I'm good with BTC. And frankly, I really like the way it sounds : 1 BTC = 850 $ !!!  Makes the dollar look so puny Grin
2609  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price vs. hash rate? on: April 06, 2014, 05:04:33 AM
The people that keep mining when BTC rates are low are the ones who don't immediately sell their mined coins for USD right away. They HODL them because they believe in a bright future. Even if the current BTC rates are not profitable, they believe that some day in near future the prices will go significantly higher and what does not look a viable investment right now will look much more sensible at that time.
2610  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why USB miners? on: April 06, 2014, 04:52:13 AM
Our company will shortly be offering a 100GH/sec capable USB miner (to get that it has to use the included AC adapter) at substantially under US$75, and no, that's not a misprint. 100 GH/sec at under US$75.

That's a very bold statement. You've got my attention. Will look forward to the official announcement.
2611  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to detect Keylogger on: April 05, 2014, 04:25:56 PM
Reinstall. If the keylogger is well made and not spread out too much you will never detect it.
I just want to know is can't I look into all running processes manually to check whether a suspicious process in running in background that might be a keylogger..?

Many advanced malware know how to conceal their identity by either using phony names that sound genuine processes - such as 'System Host', 'Browser Extension', 'Google Update Service' etc.  (and maybe a different name every time they run), and some even do not appear on the process list!
That's called Rootkit (which I mentioned a few posts back). When you check for keyloggers, it is also imp to check for Rootkits.
2612  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: April 05, 2014, 04:18:53 PM
Saw 'Secret Life of Walter Milly' yesterday. A fully entertaining and enlightening movie. Ben Stiller's best arguably. Didn't know Ben was also the director until the credits rolled. Highly recommended.

I was surprised by it and had no idea Stiller directed it too.

Doesn't he play a load of different roles? Is it a funny?

I wouldn't say funny; it is humorous at times in a good way.But more importantly, its a film that gives you a new direction to your thoughts and life as a whole.
2613  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp going paranoid about ID verification on: April 05, 2014, 02:30:36 PM
While the process is long, I don't think it's an unfair request.

Remember the MtGox data breach? Anyone having an ID from a hacked online database can fake someone else's identity on an exchange.
Your picture holding your own document WITH THE DATE WRITTEN ALONGSIDE IT is the only way to determine that you own that ID.
2614  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why USB miners? on: April 05, 2014, 12:32:16 PM
USB miner people are mostly beginners trying to understand mining process before getting their feet into deeper waters, to see if it really works out for them or not. Imagine a guy who read an article about Bitcoin on Digg and started reading about mining, got interested but rather than investing $10,000 straightaway on a mining rig he would first wants to play safe and see if he can actually go through 'the whole mining thing'.

What do you HATE most?
Excess negativity:
You could have asked what we LIKE/LOVE the most.   Cheesy

Well, that doesn't change a thing. I like hating my boss! Cheesy

2618  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to time travel? on: April 05, 2014, 07:51:47 AM
if i spend a few thousand of my current BTC to build a time machine, go back to 2009 and kill Satoshi to prevent him from creating Bitcoin, would I still be rich today to invent the time machine?

No you would be in prison.

OK then, change of plans. Maybe I won't kill him. Just be nice with him and probably get him a free lunch (pun intended) and tell him how nice BTC was, so he would donate some BTC. Not a big deal for him, because those would be worth pennies at the time.

2620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Demographics of Bitcoin early adopters? on: April 04, 2014, 11:44:49 AM
Right now, 99% of the Bitcoiners are straight. 95% of them are white and 96% of them are male.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-03-10/demographics-bitcoin

Those kind of analysis have always been vague. I am a Bitcoin holder and I have never published my information to anyone - and there are hundreds of thousands like me. How would someone analyse their data?
