2601  Other / Meta / Re: PICISI: Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, and Ideas on: May 14, 2015, 05:54:15 PM
What is the purpose behind this thread?

I think 'destroy' the reputation of an user... but I do not know which reputation will be destroyed or ruined (but I do not think it is necessary a thread, maybe it is better to discuss privately).
2602  Other / Meta / Re: PICISI (Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, an Ideas) on: May 14, 2015, 05:39:25 PM
Again:

trust system is not moderated, and it is not necessary open a thread ... you should instead sort this situation 'privately' with Vod (I think if you will clarify all the situation, he will probably change the feedback).

I am not thrilled to see that this forum is always the same Wink.
2603  Other / Meta / Re: Why 'email address' revealed to Mods when reporting? on: May 14, 2015, 05:34:21 PM
Only certain mods can see it - I can't for instance - but I agree that if it doesn't need to be there then it should be removed.

You can't see the mail ids even when a report is made in a board you moderate? I got the impression it was otherwise from the post below

Only the specific board moderator(s) can see your email when you report a post.

As Muhammad said. I randomly only started getting them after the forum went down though. Had to change my email because I was getting spammed by them day and night. Hopefully in the new forum it won't require emails to be shown or I hope we can turn them off at least.

Obviously, I think it is not necessary this function and SMF is not very 'useful'.... maybe the new forum software will be really good (when it will be released or better if it will be released ).
2604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you value most when you choose a BTC exchange? on: May 13, 2015, 06:39:21 PM
Why have not you allow the possibility to choose more than one option? However If I can say my opinion regarding your question:

I choose an exchange according firstly to the security (and the dev team). Second, according to the volume and liquidity and after I choose to use an exchange also if the site has a great support service.
2605  Other / Meta / Re: Why 'email address' revealed to Mods when reporting? on: May 13, 2015, 06:20:46 PM
So what's the problem with that? It doesn't cost anything to create a new email address if you're really concerned about moderators spamming you (but then you probably shouldn't use this forum at all)

It's just how an SMF forum works.

-image-
It's not really an issue, but I'm just curious as to why this is. Is it a feature of SMF that can't be disabled? Or is it there for an actual reason?

^^^ This. Not really a problem for me. I already told that above.

I think there is a problem for you : the trustwhorty of some mod, or am I wrong? However if you do not want to reveal your personal email address, just use another one only for bitcointalk.org (as someone said previously here in this thread).
2606  Other / Meta / Re: Why 'email address' revealed to Mods when reporting? on: May 13, 2015, 05:04:45 PM
There is already another thread about this question:

2607  Other / Meta / Re: Ways to reduce spambots? on: May 13, 2015, 05:46:40 AM
Limiting by IPs is a bad idea. Many people use VPN or servers. Using a captcha of sorts seems like a great idea and I would definitely support that though. Maybe also limit a section (such as marketplace) until you have x number of posts.

I think there is not a definitely way to reduce the spam, if there will be one ... the work of mod. will not be necessary anymore (or am I wrong?). Maybe the report function could be improved, to talk with the mod (who handles the report) for a fast & better resolution.
2608  Economy / Speculation / Re: Low volume trades, No one wants this shitcoin anymore on: May 12, 2015, 08:13:12 PM
The real market demand is so low almost zero.

90% of the current trades volume are manipulations, pump and dump day trading.
Only 10% rest are dark markets illegal activities demand.

People finally understand this bitcoin scamcoin is useless and going to be worthless, It would be the end once those bag holders give up faking 90% trades to create this dying "booming" market.

Who cares? This is still an experiment, and if it will fail the people will move away searching a new 'way' to make money. However also bitcoin is 'manipulated' and I am not talking about only the economic part.

Cryptocoin world is become only a game and who has a lot ot money can 'play' and 'destroy' the others.
2609  Economy / Services / Re: Make me code for signature campaign on: May 12, 2015, 08:05:39 PM
Is this a sort of contest? If the reply is yes I 'want' to reserve this post. Thanks.
2610  Economy / Lending / Re: NEED A 0.7 BTC LOAN on: May 12, 2015, 06:48:57 PM
respect me and people who trust in me.

No one here is going to trust you with .7 BTC.
Its too easy to make a new account and just
run away with the money. It's happened too many
times, so the scammers ruined it for everyone.

Sorry.

I didn't understand, does the op need of 0.75 or 0.70 bitcoin? Will he repay in max 48 hours or ~1 week? This forum is awesome, every day someone is trying to scam the community with a simple request of loan.... at least provide a valid collateral and I am sure someone will lend you the bitcoin.

PS: If you can provide a collateral  I 'may' give you an help, let me know.
2611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin Fork? on: May 12, 2015, 06:35:13 PM
The fork will cause more problem than the current block size limite of 1 MB, what do you think? I a one of the users that is supporting the decentralization, and if this improvement will be make by the core dev I will not update bitcoin core (this is why I love decentralization).
This could be the death of bitcoin.  Half the exchanges adopt it... half don't.. most people in BTC have no clue what's going on and panic sell.. THE BIG ONE.. the gov steps in because peoples coins are rejected on the other network..they claim it as some scheme and start a world regulation program to take over control.. Arrested for mining non approved block chains.. oh the future is not bright.

Hmm , yes but this is the game of 'decentralization'. The unique rule is choose which way follow Wink. If you do not agree with the new code (if it will be released) simple don't update your bitcoin core version and you will be fine. You should only hope that the majority will choose the 'right' thing, but there is not a thing right or wrong in bitcoin (not at all).

Username: EvenMatt
Amount of loan: 0.08btc
Amount of repayment: 0.10btc
Loan repayment date: June 5, 2015
My address: 1MvePztcczRnLZcxVUiNmPLawyuv7grx69

Thank you.

Can I ask you how much time take you for the creation of this forum account? Maybe 15-30 seconds? Now imagine 15 users (all controlled by you) asking a loan of 0.05 BTC or more.... what will happen?

Please provide a collateral or simple get out from this forum, we are not stupid and you are not intelligent (as you think). Thanks for the attention.
2614  Other / Meta / Re: About Activity| How it could be possible on: May 12, 2015, 05:42:08 PM
-snip-
I didn't talk of 7 days, but yes you are right . It is a really big confusion the activity system, maybe less time we are thinking of it and less trouble we will have.

Looked like it Wink

-snip-
31 weeks * 14 points = 434 activity points.

From the first of march 2014  to 11 of may 2015 : 436 days  ... 434 days (his activity) / 14 activity points = 31 weeks   Maybe I can't explain my thought.

I might be wrong but it is actually 62 weeks as 14 days is 2 weeks not 1 week.

Yes , sorry I was wrong and I meant 31 activity 'times' ( each "activity time" is 14 days , so two weeks). Thanks for your correction.

It seems legit, I will give you all my bitcoin .... why not?

2617  Other / Meta / Re: About Activity| How it could be possible on: May 11, 2015, 08:20:08 PM
-snip-
1 Activity point * day , so it is basically 1 point per day max 14 points each 2 weeks (if you post at least one post every day). This is how the activity works (in the easiest way).

Its still 14 time points in 14 days, not in 7 days. Besides the simplification of 1 activity per day is wrong in certain cases. E.g. an account created today would get possibly 28 points for the next 15 days. I think most confusions about how activity works is that people do not see the difference between time points and activity.

I didn't talk of 7 days, but yes you are right . It is a really big confusion the activity system, maybe less time we are thinking of it and less trouble we will have.
2618  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.01 loan! on: May 11, 2015, 08:16:19 PM
i don't know how to do that i can prove My address that i once put which is that loan addy and send 0.0001 from it

Can you sign a message from an old bitcoin address (posted here in the forum, the post should not be edited)?  * To prove the ownership of the account, if you can do it then in that case I can lend you 0.01 bitcoin Wink.

From 19Un1cDJuUahwrXASJnVMJmjawRnFchrSb is enough because the warning appears only for 1 month.

If you don't know how to just ask

Waiting the signed message, but it seems the OP is vanished after this 'strange' request!

I can fulfill this loan

Without any security (bitcoin signed message)? This is insane, but it is your personal choice. However in these days a lot of 'high' rank users are trying to scam, pay an high attention.
2619  Other / Meta / Re: About Activity| How it could be possible on: May 11, 2015, 08:11:38 PM
I think it is possible, if we count from the 1st March of 2014 to now (1st May of 2015)... we obtain = 436 days. 1 activity point * day, so the account has 434 as activity (there is not wrong in that situation).

31 weeks * 14 points = 434 activity points.

You dont get 14 activity per week, you get 14 time points per 14 day period.

Considering that the account is from March 1st their first activity period would have started Feb. 18th 2014 (unix time: 1392710000). With the current period included thats 33 periods * 14 = 462 possibly activity. Assuming they posted in every single period. A single post tomorrow would add another 14 time points.

1 Activity point * day , so it is basically 1 point per day max 14 points each 2 weeks (if you post at least one post every day). This is how the activity works (in the easiest way) but you are right "you will collect those 14 points after the 14 days".
2620  Economy / Services / Re: [FOUND] [0.2 BTC Bounty] Find this tshirt! on: May 11, 2015, 06:39:00 PM
I think if you have found what you were searching you can lock this thread (search /ctrl +f/ lock topic). However 0.20 bitcoin as bounty for a little search, awesome!
