2601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why NFTs projects are not making wave-like ICOs on: September 30, 2021, 12:33:48 PM
Why I didnt hear such news about it John Cena maikg his own nft? Missed this one.
Because you can't see him:Smiley

Well, it may still not be that understood by many. Like many people that I'm telling about NFT's, what's the difference? Like the difference between just saving the file as JPG by copying the minted one and having the specific art for NFT. It's hard to explain how valuable it is for everyone to have that kind of technology verifying the ownership and staff. It's just that not people value it as much.

I think the difference that they will have between ICOs and NFTs is how they become hyped. I think NFTs haven't reached the ICO level of hype or something to that sense.
2602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Was thinking about switching wallets to a local one on: September 30, 2021, 09:37:30 AM
If you have an extra laptop lying around, you can do a complete wipe to it and never connect it to the internet. There, you can do the advice from hosseinimr93. It's better to create new keys when doing this and do not import your old ones.

Maybe you can find the time to checkout hardware wallets as well, such as Ledger and Trezor. This could be useful if you don't have an extra device to use for the air-gapped device.
2603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Single pair trading or double pair? on: September 30, 2021, 06:34:15 AM
I think that would depend on your strategy and your approach towards trading. Whether a single pair, double pair, or multiple pairs for your strategy. If you can monitor more coins on the specific strategy, then it's best to have numerous pairs. You should do that by that is to decide your trading limit and hope that it goes your way.

You can imagine it this way. If you have a $1000 balance and have double pairs, you could either split that $1000 on the specific pairs, whether you will use the $500 or split it to multiple trading opportunities by averaging your entry point.

Having multiple pairs could give you more trading opportunities, and that would be awesome if you could trade it all. That's what I do with my spot account and continuously change it 24/7 with my Gunbot. It makes it easy to deal with multiple pairs, and the averaging entry point is automatic if you set it to your strategy.
2604  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Bitcoin ETFs really important? on: September 30, 2021, 06:03:10 AM
Whether you support this or not, it will still be a part of the BTC journey. You can imagine it this way.

There's a future in there wasn't any Bitcoin ETF anywhere in the world. Bitcoin is still usable. Bitcoin ETF = Not that important to BTC
There's a future that there is a successful Bitcoin ETF somewhere in the world. Bitcoin is still usable. Bitcoin ETF = Not that important to BTC

Bitcoin ETF = Assurance for some by diversifying to the asset without owning the asset.

And to some who are not that tech-savvy to understand how to actually have BTC in their portfolio will benefit significantly with ETF's.

Let's wait for the future of this. They are probably taking their time with it.
2605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking stables? on: September 30, 2021, 01:30:55 AM
This is actually the safest for me but it requires you to own a Ledger wallet (X or S). But if you want a better one as I own an S version which is the older one, I found no issue with it.
You have no issue with the Nano S but have you tried the lending feature? I haven't explored it yet and I don't have extra funds that I'm not going to use for now. I may try it soon once I have converted some of my BTC.

While the X has a battery issue.
I do have the Nano X and thankfully I don't have any troubles with the battery and I think I can lend if I would use that feature.
2606  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Machine on: September 29, 2021, 02:23:14 PM
I like the idea of running your node to verify and run it for yourself. What I like about it is that it's dedicated to that use. You won't have to depend on other users to run a node for you anymore, and you can verify that it's accurate data from the network. Be a support to the network. That's the best way to show that you are all in with BTC.

Definitely for the non-tech savvy people who don't have a server to run 24/7 but still want to support the network.
2607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to mine bitcoin using Volcanic energy on: September 29, 2021, 08:12:12 AM
I like the "Volcanode" Pun. Nice!

It's wise to use that. The geothermal energy from the volcano could be used to power up miners and the mining operations there, which is ideal since it's a renewable energy source. I'm not sure how efficient they can be, but having a lower cost to mine BTC is perfect.

Upon checking the geographical information of El Salvador, they have a hefty amount of volcanoes surrounding them, so it's brilliant as well.

I hope this would be the approach of people mining with all the renewable energy resources to maximize their efficiency and help the environment—no more critics of the "energy-hungry" crypto economy.
2608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Show me you're ethereum price prediction. on: September 29, 2021, 07:48:48 AM
I think it's still too early to tell if it wouldn't reach the $6k mark. What we could do is continuously investing in the asset if we think it will get it. At least with that mindset, you can be at the market all the time, and you wouldn't need to time it ideally. As long as you are exposing yourself to the suitable risk, it will inevitably change the course of your profits once you HODL the right coins.

My chart there shows only support and resistance. With this in mind, I do see a pattern of it rising again because it has bounced off the support line below and could now break the resistance. Once that penetrates, I think we are heading off to beating the ATH again.

Keep note that I'm only on a small timeframe because of my trading bot. I like to have multiple trades done 24/7 instead of monitoring it continuously.
2609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin tipping on Twitter on: September 29, 2021, 07:25:12 AM
Twitter themselves have a FAQ page about it, here you go.
Thank you so much on this. I have read it and it seems that they are just enabling how the people operate in the Twitterverse and integrating stuff more and more to stay within the platform, which is not a bad idea. I'm just not sure how they are going to regulate it or something like that.

It has both instructions on the off-platform thing and the one for Bitcoin through Strike. It seems pretty straightforward, though I don't think there's a minimum requirement from what I'm reading? The only really obvious requirement is that they must have tips turned on and must be 18 and above.
What I was talking about it the monetization thing that they have. I guess it's different just from tips. I think this is the link below.

2610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking stables? on: September 29, 2021, 06:44:54 AM
Lending is also fine, mean in general something with a ROI which won't scam me for my stables Smiley (or horses)
So have you tried it? I'm seeing in my Ledger Manager that you can do the Lend option. It accepts the following stables
  • USDC
  • DAI
  • USDT

It's pretty informative within the site linked below. Just be careful about how much you are risking. I haven't tried it TBH but I think it's worth to try.

2611  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Alpha Incomes cloud mining Ponzi Scheme. on: September 29, 2021, 06:33:40 AM
I wasn't aware that there are still these kinds of scam tactics. I thought most scammers have turned into project-based and are just waiting to pull rugs underneath investors. Thanks for sharing, OP.

I hope they aren't able to scam people with that tactic. I think these will victimize the older generations who don't understand how it is to mine or what cryptocurrency in general is. I guess one convincing pitch towards them could lead to easy money for the scammers. Being able to educate the people who are prone to this is vital to the outlook of cryptocurrency. A lot of people indeed have been scammed by this similar tactic.
2612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin tipping on Twitter on: September 29, 2021, 04:08:58 AM
I can't seem to find this feature. Probably because of my region, but is it somehow connected to the monetization thing in the tab? I see that you could gather social spaces and stuff and monetize your account with minimum followers and many more.

Maybe someone could post a tutorial on this or reference some work.
2613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to trade certain coins if you are country restricted? on: September 28, 2021, 06:26:01 PM
Maybe you can use a DEX and then find a coin that would be available to your country. From there choose from the ones that you can trade into cash so that you wouldn't have to worry about depositing/withdrawing the funds from the exchange. How do you normally do it, OP? With those valid coins in your country.
2614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking stables? on: September 28, 2021, 12:26:24 PM
I was thinking of stables as horses or livestock are kept. Lol.

Anyway, isn't it available to hardware wallets? I'm thinking of lending instead. Have you thought about this? It's possible that it could give you higher returns, right?
2615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex Today Spent Almost $23.6 Million Fees For a Single Ethereum Transaction on: September 28, 2021, 08:39:05 AM
I'm not sure why they would be doing this. Is it just easy for them to do that with their capability and their money that they just decide to throw money away with that? I'm just curious if they have something under their sleeves, they should've been more discreet but no, they had to transact with a ridiculous amount of fees just to do it and now the whole world knows about it.

Is there crazy speculation going around now as to what it is?
2616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 21 Million Fixed Supply Question? on: September 28, 2021, 02:22:37 AM
It Bitcoin becomes world reserve currency then is there enough 'SATS' to go around?
This is what's going on to drive the price up. When there's low supply, demand will rise. That's just the reason to why BTC has reached higher highs continuously from the pandemic up to now. A lot of people now understand why it's necessary.

Do these meme coins can also be divided into 8 decimal places and if so then why on earth would these meme coins would allow that? I don't understand? A Quadrillion supply is not enough for everyone in this planet without the need to divide 1 Shiba Inu further down? Like 0.00000001 Shiba Inu coin  Shocked
I think it's better to understand what it was created for and how it can be used in our lives. Do you think everyone needs at least 1 coin to survive or something? I don't think everyone would want that.
2617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CET and its future on: September 27, 2021, 10:19:51 AM
Actually,  cheap coins with small market cap are likely to increase more than giant currencies with several millions of market cap, but everything depends on popularity.
Lol. You could be a popular coin, but that doesn't mean that retail investors and institutional investors would be investing in your project. It would still depend on that and not how much it is known. Well, it's not always the case for sure, but the coin's exposure can be enough to attract some investors.

People know about Binance and trust it, that is why BNB is growing. And I am not sure if this exchange will replace Binance or any other centralized exchange will do it.
I don't think they would be able to beat Binance. They are a stronghold when it comes to being exchange, and they are still booming with projects, which could be why they would be able to stay at the top.
2618  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Bustabit scamming me on: September 27, 2021, 09:48:17 AM
I think the OP is just rushing things and just concluded that it's automatically a scam. I don't think they would scam for that amount or any other amount. They are well established with their position in the crypto gambling industry and just stupid to scam. Maybe the site has detected some kind of anomaly with how you play and decide to ban you or something? Perhaps they are just reviewing your bets and other stuff.
2619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did not expect the Chinese government to promote the rise of decentralization on: September 27, 2021, 07:03:40 AM
Those decisions will lead to more use of DEX, which is not bad for cryptocurrency in general because whether or not someone would be trading, they could easily trade just by connecting their wallet. What I'm worried about is that a lot of people, who are not tech-savvy, would have a hard time trying out those kinds of exchanges because it's not that friendly.

I don't get how you can say that their government is promoting it. All they did was ban it, right?
2620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cheapest Way To Withdraw From Binance? on: September 27, 2021, 06:01:39 AM
The easiest way to do it is to keep BTC and BCH in your Ledger, trade it all to BTC, and then withdraw it all. The only problem is that you have to pay 0.0005 or  50k sats for this transaction. So with the price of BTC now (time of posting), that would be 22 USD, and at least you would get all your balance to your ledger without any other hassle.

Yes, you can withdraw an altcoin but decide on what you are going to HODL. Have something like TRX network USDT or an altcoin that has a small fee. Check out mk4's link reference. It has all the costs, and then you can correlate it to Ledger Manager and install the app accordingly.
