2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: February 22, 2021, 07:20:09 AM
Even here in India we use the term "beer money" to describe passive income. But that doesn't mean that it is used only for buying beer. I was earning $100 or $200 a year as passive income around 10 years ago, and back then I used to spend that money on a variety of insignificant expenses, such as beer, food, movies, shopping.etc.
200 USD for a passive income is a big enough to support a family of 5 for about half a month in my country assuming that the children in the family is going to school every day. If I had that kind of money right now, I would be investing it into something that will make me more money. I am not that high maintenance person so I can say with confidence that I don't spend a lot of money on something frivolous or luxurious, I don't even drink alcohol so I save more money.
2602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: February 22, 2021, 06:37:32 AM
I think it's okay if casinos advertise using streamers/youtubers and sponsor money. It's a fair and, I think, effective way to increase your brand recognition and attract a new audience, no one should blame them for that. As for me, this kind of advertisement is even better in some ways, than, say, a web banner. The video allows you to see the software, some cool features, and some pitfalls at the same time, these vids are often honest and straightforward about everything, which I like. Plus, like you said, it can be entertaining.
It is fair definitely, I don't get why OP thinks that there should be a choice between good and bad. I think that it is the other way around, are the sponsors getting a good person to promote their product/services which is in this case an online casino? I think that web banner has its limits though, with sponsored content creators, they can artfully present your product/services plus they already have an established audiences that may get curious and check out what their favorite Youtuber or Streamer is promoting.
2603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Weekly on: February 22, 2021, 05:52:31 AM

Besides want privacy, people want to use different currencies besides using fiat money. They can still use fiat for something in their real life while using crypto to gamble. If they can manage how they use their money, they will not have a problem with using fiat and crypto for their life. But the privacy will be one thing that they concern about because by using crypto, they don't have to verify their account to just playing gambling. The Crypto gambling business will grow because of the use of crypto, making cryptocurrency popular.
The problem with playing unverified in a gambling website is that the gambling website can use it to their advantage by locking the user out of their account if they were to ever win something big, it is a pretty prevalent issue right now. I don't think that it will be easy for a gambling addict to manage their money, they are the worst kind of people that will have money land on their hands. I was once told of a murder of someone who was a gambling addict who owed so much money that there is no way that that person could pay it. Hopefully, not only gambling will make cryptocurrency popular but also bitcoin as it is.
2604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Football Gambling System: A Betting Experiment on: February 22, 2021, 05:15:50 AM
~
I think an inexperienced gambler doesn't have to follow what the @OP did, especially if they don't know much about the team. It is good to experiment like @OP did, and I think we can make our experiment that will be different from the @OP.

Perhaps, @OP has the confidence to win in the next match, so he increases the bet amount. I think he already calculates everything so that he can decide like that. I am sure @OP has experience in that, and he can think much before decide, and he knows how to manage the risk.
I agree that it is a good system but I have a hard time going on OP's side about the experiment, I find it lucky which doesn't sit well with me because I have gambled back then not relying on luck but skills so I hope you can understand why I don't like the experiment even though it resulted to something good especially the Sochaux one, that one is a risky bet. I hope that it was the case with OP knowing that he is going to win because the stats seem random at glance. Maybe if other users were to do this experiment on different football league or different sport then I might be able to believe that the system will work.
2605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul moving to Puerto Rico, fight back on? on: February 22, 2021, 04:35:57 AM
Logan Paul is not focus on his boxing career, he maybe have exhibition fights but it's not as frequent as real boxers where they train all their lives, so for me this isn't related to Mayweather's fight as moving on is like permanently living in a certain country or living it longer, and in his case he can enjoy a cheaper taxes for on this earnings on his lifetime.

As of now, I'm not hearing any news that the fight will pursue, it was hype before but it seems the hype is already gone.
That's my hunch too, he is an influencer after all and they mean business so I think that the move in at Puerto Rico is for the good of his business overall. I would say that the move could be motivated by his boxing career a little because he could have moved a long time ago there, he was making serious dough being an influencer back then and he is also in a lot of controversies so I could assume that it spurred his popularity.
2606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Football Gambling System: A Betting Experiment on: February 22, 2021, 03:56:55 AM
Kudos Pmalek! It was so amusing to read your OP and the main specs of your experiment, which it looks to have been quite profitable too. I think I had similar ideas in the past but as for many things in my life I lack consistency  Grin
Now in my spare time I'll check to see if some teams like the one youìve picked can be found and start something similar. After all, we are talking $3 to start with.
It might be profitable for OP, I read the stats and I agree it is quiet good of a system, the only problem that I see is the increase in betting increment each time the team loses a match which could be dangerous for any inexperienced bettors. I have to say that it is a good experiment but nothing beats the analysis of a team before betting on or against them.
2607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Weekly on: February 22, 2021, 03:08:57 AM
Thats how crypto been widely used. As bitcoin and other altcoins has been made not only for crypto payments, blockchain purposes but also can be used for gambling/gaming purposes.

Also, crypto gambling websites tend to reach some players even on their homes by betting on sports, playing some casino slots and other games thru crypto coins. This innovative offers frictionless gaming for players. Not only that but it can also promotes great use and purpose for cryptocurrency.
More people want privacy when they are gambling so they use cryptocurrency to gamble because there is no money trail that is going to affect their personal life if they are trying to hide their gambling addiction or habits. The way I see it, gambling reaches the people at home through advertisements from the sports that have been sponsored by this gambling websites.
2608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something to consider when selling your BTC... on: February 21, 2021, 07:29:20 AM
Time will come that you will need that bitcoin to be cashed in because you might be short on money or it is too big to let it pass by. I would consider selling my bitcoin when I see that the money is too big to not cash it in and I have a lot things to do with it besides hodling it without having any returns and only depending on its growth which could take years to go which I can't wait for because there are other opportunities to make money without using bitcoin.
2609  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Chipmixer website on: February 21, 2021, 06:51:52 AM

How are you going to catch a professional hacker who knows how to hide his tracks? If he uses Tor and a mixer for all the stolen coins, then only the top secret services of the world could be of help, as was the case here.

Those who could help prevent things like this are certainly the ones who provide hosting and domain registration services - but have they ever shown that they care about anything but profit?
If there is a dedicated cyber team to track down this kinds of people, I think that they can be tracked. There are even private firms that offers to track people on the Internet and the only time that I see them fail is when they tried to track down Cicada 3301.
2610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will replace the Silver Marketcap on: February 21, 2021, 06:13:37 AM
From my perspective the movement of bitcoin via increment this year is very astonished and I think it deserved jubilation, saying that bitcoin will replace silver, you're not mistaking because the length people are buying and investing in cryptocurrency in general is highly expensive so marketcap of bitcoin is changing everyday and everytime, but the problem is that we have to know exact price of silver and compare it to existing price of bitcoin before we call for conclusion.
Isn't that the exact price of silver's market cap? Almost everything there AFAIK is an estimate of the whole thing. 400 billion is a lot of money for bitcoin market cap to accumulate which means that there is still a lot of hurdles before we can surpass the silver market cap, not to mention that Google is on the way so we have to surpass this one before doing so with the other.
2611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tomatocage Is he still active as an intermediary? on: February 20, 2021, 11:47:22 AM
Tomatocage was last active in July 18, 2020. I would guess that you got fooled by a fake, a lot of people have been impersonating long time users of the forum so I am sorry for your loss but you just got scammed. Be careful next time someone says who they are because they might be impersonating too, this is the Internet after all, you can be anyone you want as long as you aren't caught.
2612  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [International Donate] Building rice farms in the Philippines Funding goal 0.2B on: February 20, 2021, 10:52:37 AM
I have one question regarding the price of land in the Philippines - specifically in this case the agricultural land that will be used for rice cultivation. I don't know exactly what the size of the land is, but 0.2 BTC is around $10 000 at the current price - so even though you included all the other costs, I was somehow convinced that agricultural land in that part of the world would be much cheaper.

In my country (EU), a large proportion of workers earn that much throughout the year - although there are those who earn perhaps only 60-70% of that amount.
Most farmers in my country(Philippines) do not have their own land and most of them are part of a hacienda or ranch that is owned by the oligarchs. That money that hopefully gets donated might be able to help them pay their debts, buy seeds and buy their food. Filipino farmers are among the poorest in my country and there are only a few that gets lucky because those who asked for more are either killed or removed from the land, what I am saying is that they are always getting the short end of the stick.
2613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if the major holders of bitcoin all decided to sell it all? on: February 20, 2021, 10:15:28 AM
Honestly I will not be worried if the whales dump their holdings at the same time because there are a lot buyers just waiting for the dump. Its their only chance to jump in at very cheap prices, the price might tank but not for long. It wouldn’t make since if they dump their holdings these times now that Bitcoin is already on meanstream, I think most of them will hodl for years or sell just some of it.
The tanking might not take long or might take long, we don't know yet but we know that when that happens, buying more bitcoin will be the best course of action, imagine all the whales dumping their bitcoin back into supply and the waves will not destroy us because we know that this will happen. This is like Christmas for everyone that has been waiting to buy bitcoin for such a low price. This is all just a hypothetical situation and I think that it doesn't make sense but we have to ride along with it.
2614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hit 1 trillion dollars marketcap on: February 20, 2021, 09:38:22 AM
This is bound to happen, people will catch wind of thsi eventually and if the media doesn't cover cryptocurrency, a lot of the people will be missing out on something very important, and of cpurse their integrity will be put on the line.
Doesn't matter if the media doesn't cover this, people will talk all about it in social media and their friends and followers will follow and those people will talk about it to their friends and followers and the chain goes, mainstream media will not stop the spread of the news, they are just slowing down the inevitable. People love gossip and stories and this will get them talking about it. The only problem with that is that scams will be rife this season since a lot of people doesn't know about bitcoin besides the surface.
2615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit Coin hits 55,000 USD on: February 20, 2021, 08:58:26 AM
Isn't the dip in stocks a good thing because you can buy lower and wait for it to go up again and sell it for a big profit. I think that it is both a good news that stocks dip and bitcoin is rising at unprecedented heights. With more good news and rumors that there are more investors going to chip in in this market, I think that this is just the start of something big that we may not be able to imagine it yet, 100k might just be the middle point of everything that is going to happen in the future.
2616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember today's date 19th Feb, 2021. BTC crossed $1 trillion marketcap on: February 20, 2021, 08:19:32 AM
No one expected Bitcoin will break this huge mark in just a decade. I am sure more records will be created and many new companies will now enter this industry. Enjoy this big bull run while it last.
It is evident, the growth at such a short amount of time will translate to a long term growth that will definitely cause us to reap bigger benefits, this companies will make this industry bigger so as individuals we have to take advantage of that and make more money while they are hodling out what they are buying.
2617  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake Chipmixer website on: February 20, 2021, 07:38:05 AM

Yes. Scammers have used search engine optimization to bring the website to the first page. It is also a fact that many groups of scammers are active and continuously creating such fake websites. And we can say that almost every popular website is being targeted. Therefore, we need to report them so that Google can block them and add them to the blacklist.

Always bookmark your favorite websites so you don't have to search on Google. And always pay attention to the domain name of the website as you said.

Please report here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en
For me, I don't really need to pay attention to the website that I am visiting as long as I know their full domain name, I can guarantee that I will not be on a spoofed website. Tried to catch and report this kind of websites a long time ago but they are a Hydra, destroy one and another three will pop up. The best approach is to catch the people behind and not the website because crippling the source is the best way to win this war.
2618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If most of Bitcoin is owned by few it cannot be a store of wealth for all on: February 20, 2021, 06:56:54 AM
Apart from Satoshi Nakamoto, there is no large holder of Bitcoin who owns more than 1% of the circulating supply. So that puts an to end the question about "a few owning the most". No accurate figure is available for the number of Bitcoin owners. Estimates range from 20 million to 200 million, which is a minuscule figure when compared to the number of people who own fiat cash or gold. But the user base is expanding with every passing year. And along with the increase in user base, we will see a change in the ownership structure. Top holders will cash out some of their holdings, while more and more small sized holders will enter the picture.
No accurate figure for now but with more institutional investors coming in, I think that we will slowly realize that bitcoin is owned by the few. There seems to be a problem with that 1% some estimates say it is around 3% so I don't know what to believe in because of the mix up in data. Even though it is expanding, most people can't afford to buy one bitcoin let alone a .1 or a .01. Hopefully, the top hodlers will do that and the smaller ones will do that but what happens if that were not to happen would be proving that bitcoin is owned by few.
2619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is preventing a crypto-exchange in another nation from not requiring KYC? on: February 20, 2021, 06:13:36 AM
What is stopping them is the rule of law and shame which is bad for business, exchanges don't want their exchanges associated with money laundering which can be done in cryptocurrency whether you don't want to believe it or not. So they have to do this so they can be on the good side of the law, they don't want to piss off the people that are keeping them in that business, it isn't a matter of control, it's just that they don't want the fuzz that having no KYC has.
2620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you sell if you had bought 10 Bitcoin at $100? on: February 20, 2021, 05:34:04 AM
Right now?  No way in hell would I sell it.
You wouldn't sell it because you know that the value of bitcoin will go up but if you didn't know and see a big pump like 1k USD a pop of bitcoin, I think that anyone is going to sell it. Don't kid yourself that you wouldn't sell it. Remember that the 50k USD is far apart from the time of 100 USD per bitcoin and along the way, there were past ATH and along that way, you are going to sell it because it was bigger than you initial capital.
