Found another, was a bit of a barren patch there!
Need more hashing power - I'll crank up the dial if other people will hop in..
Does pool payout properly? Dunno, the update hasn't been posted on Github yet from what I can tell.

Or, since they are very smart, they can grow to 30-40% of the network, and sell remaining inventory at optimal profits, thus ensuring they can stay at 30-40% of the network indefinitely. The problem with ASICMINER is they're too greedy. They try to squeeze all profit from both ends, leaving nothing for the buyers of their hardware. Well, the sooner we have real alternatives the better. I certainly hope they don't pull any stupid stunts with hashrate, though... AVALON, you listening?? Start friggin' shipping batches 2 and 3, and the chips PRONTO!Yeah, those little USB stick things are a total ripoff, worth maybe a bit less than 1BTC atm. Like I wouldn't pay over $100 USD for one, the hash rate isn't good enough. A cheap video card can do more than 300 MH/s and there is a lot more parts/workmanship in a video card that's for sure!

Why do you think any manufacturer would test on mainnet? AFAIK they'd be testing on testnet. That's what it's for.
Testnet = no profits. Mainnet = PROFIT!!Nuff said. And the Testnet is for testing software not hardware. I seen nothing wrong with leaving the prototypes running on the real net.

BTC and LTC are the only two I know of that can be exchanged for USD All the others are tied to some othe coin with conversion fees and added confirmation time.

I am getting partial page refreshes and "Rate Limit Exceeded" error messages when I click once in a while.
Something is not right.

It looks like ASICMINER is centralizing Bitcoin mining. Is this a bad thing? Certainly make it way less profitable for BFL customers.
Yep...centralizing a currency that was suppose to be decentralized. Can only lead to disaster. At some point if they keep adding 4-7TH/s per week, ASICMINER will be the only ones left mining Bitcoins except for a few stragglers that don't realize they are burning money via power for nothing because of the unmatchable growth in difficulty. Can ASICMINER's business plan survive on transaction fees alone? As they will be pretty much the only ones creating new blocks to carry transactions.

Mods please close this topic, I will open another one because I decided to start the project with a fresh ASIC chip. New topic will be open as soon as I have a team ready. Probably all EU located. Thanks again for help and my best wishes for all!

P2pool can submit blocks now, so the "sign failed" bugs is fixed. There is still a little problems with p2pool protocol: "close connection " "gentx doesn't match hash_link" etc. which will make p2p feature unavailable, I think it will be fixed today.
I just grabbed the latest source off github but it's still giving me the submit errors: Minerd: 2013-05-14 17:26:05] JSON-RPC call failed: { "message": "Unknown error", "data": null, "code": -32099 } [2013-05-14 17:26:05] submit_upstream_work json_rpc_call failed [2013-05-14 17:26:05] ...retry after 30 seconds [2013-05-14 17:26:14] thread 0: 253858 hashes, 27.99 khash/s

Closed my node because: - did not found/send ANY share to pool after 24hrs of mining - minerd is hanging (cant submit/unknown jsonerror... retry... loop)
That's correct, the p2pool code is still broken. This is a p2pool discussion thread.

This is meaningless, an IP, most likely dynamic, possibly in Kansas is mining bitcoins, are we supposed to care?

Alt coins are getting like those late night infomercials you see on TV peddling instant beauty/fitness and other snake oil.

OMG TheSeven, I freaking love you, you just saved me a very very large sum of money!! I'm now going to back up all my wallets and I'm putting them on a flash drive, and straight into my parents safety deposit box! Thanks again so much!!
Encrypt them too with a password that you and you next of kin can remember.

It costs money to mine coins, electricity and hardware are not free. This encourages miners gravitate to the most profitable coins via rankings like Coinchoose.com. If you have a tax then the coin will fall down the profitability rankings and you wont get many miners. The top coins for the day get the bulk of the hash rate.
It's just the way things work atm.

The pools for YAC are pretty sad, yac.dontmine.me keeps being unreachable, I assume it's overloaded. p2pool is the best option, we need it pretty quickly or many people will simply abandon YAC.
You mean there is some other coin that is profitable to mine on CPU now? You may mean that, I mean they will abandon YAC if they cant submit blocks to a pool and get coins. There is little point wasting electricity otherwise. If you can't cover your power costs, then you are better off not mining at all.

How rigged is the Gox trading the last hour or so, have a look at the clipped range of prices on bitcoinity.org then compare it to the more natural charts on the other three exchanges that chart.
Gox should disable API order placement, make it read only.

It's not his pool, he just wants more hashes there to make it better for everyone, how can that possibly be a scam?
You have some proof of this?

It's just another DDoS, often around the same time of the week/day.
But you never know, they could be adding LTC. Yeah sure....
