The competition for the top four standings in the EPL is very fierce and always competitive, for now the point gap is one match. I mean when one of the four clubs stumbles it will make them change positions, the points gap has not yet fully formed because four clubs appear consistent. To be honest, I can't provide a detailed review based on my point of view regarding the Milan vs PSG match. If you say PSG has not been consistent so far, we agree with that. In fact, Enrique still doesn't have a standard that he can always rely on for his squad when playing their matches. In the match between these two teams, I only watched the first half of the match, the rest I watched the other matches. PSG should be able to win the match against Milan. especially if we refer to match statistics. Milan Skriniar took the lead in the 9th minute, PSG started to get carried away by AC Milan's style of play, IMO.

Yes this season Union Berlin is really disappointing, honestly I am curious about what really happened to their performance, because obviously this season they are very much worse than last season. As we know last season Union Berlin were able to compete in the top five area of the standings and finish in the top four, previously I thought they would be able to do better this season or at least stay in the top five of the standings, but apparently my expectations and especially the fans were too high on this team.
Now we can see that Union Berlin is almost at the bottom, that's a basic position for a team that has a very bad performance this season and now Union Berlin occupies 16th place above Mainz, with conditions like this then I think it can be concluded that this season they have absolutely no chance even maybe to be able to finish in the top 10 area alone it is quite impossible. That's right, this weekend Union Berlin will face a very strong squad that this season is very surprising with their very good consistency in dominating the top of the table, of course as you said, there is no hope at all in my opinion for Union Berlin to be able to achieve a good result in this match, I think the fans will not expect more.
Union Berlin sincerely is underperforming in the league, not only is it affecting the club but also punters, should we say this team is more focused on the UCL than the league or should we say the problem with the club and it’s financial status, because their performance is really unexpected based on how they did last season to qualify for the UCL, left for me I think they should forget about the UCL and focus all their attention on having a successful season in their domestic league. If the club gets out of the UCL, i can only imagine how hard it’ll be to finish top 4-6 to hit another European competition, because their are several mediocre teams that's picked up and are doing better than them currently, the team needs to get that fighting spirit back and get to winning ways, Let’s see how they play out this week’s UCL game and weekend league game. |

Newcastle is only considered the dark horse in the group and it is natural that their performance in the Champions League is quite different from the game they show in the English league. The Champions League will be much more competitive because it takes experience and mentality to make them ready to face all possibilities. If you watch the match, I think Newcastle's performance was not that bad, but Dortmund's game was very coordinated and they were able to take advantage of their home and mentality to beat the English representatives.
Newcastle are in the top six of the standings and so far they have suffered three consecutive defeats in the League, although up to now their performance has been much more stable and consistent after these defeats. Newcastle's next matches will be against Bournemouth and Chelsea, I think this is an opportunity for them to catch up on points from Aston Villa in the top five.
Most players in this Newcastle team aren’t used to the UCL and as we all know the UCL requires not just quality players but experience on the competition and that’s what’s lacking in this young Newcastle squad, against Dortmund they tried to play a good game in both pegs conceding not up to 4 legs in both legs shows the level of improvement in this side, probably they’ll look for a way to progress to the Round of 16 else I think they’ll flourish in the Europa League. Suffering 3 consecutive league defeats is a worrisome one for the Newcastle side, but let’s not forget that this side can also keep a long streak of good form and bounce back from these defeats, they have some huge tests against Chelsea in both the league and the EFL Cup, let’s see how far they can go with these tests in the coming week. |
