2621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: out of sync tether USDT on: January 22, 2021, 01:56:39 PM
If you don't get any response through email, try Reddit. I know they're pretty responsive there.

Also, if you're in a rush to access your funds, then you can simply export the private keys and sweep them using Coinomi.
2622  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I built a free and open-source Bitcoin ATM map and repository on: January 22, 2021, 10:27:28 AM
- Implement filters (search by country, state, city, and maybe even cryptocurrencies if these ATMs support alts as well).
- Unless you're planning to add all sorts of business that accepts bitcoin to the list, you probably should remove the ability to submit links. I personally don't see any point in it, but if you decide to keep them, then at least check if they're up and running first because I've gone through a few of them, and apparently, most of them are down.

As for verifying the legitimacy of these locations, then why not ask the owners to submit pictures? That would obviously require you to manually check all the submissions but it's still a good way...You could even add these pictures to the ATM details page.
2623  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: But do they take actual cash face to face at Bisq? on: January 22, 2021, 08:21:00 AM
Are sure bisq accepts cash face to face? Their cash app option is no longer available either.

They still do. See here: https://bisq.network/faq/#supported-payment-methods

I also reinstalled the app to check, and it's there. As for cashapp then AFAIK, it has been removed due to its reversible nature.
2624  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If i send someone btc, can they see what kind of wallet i use? on: January 22, 2021, 07:45:07 AM
All of the above is correct however, I'd like to add that if you're going to use custodial wallets (or exchanges) then that would make it easier to identify. Some services might even mark your transactions as "internal" or even show the username of the other party when he's using the same service as you.
2625  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet fee on: January 21, 2021, 06:12:09 PM
I can't seem to understand why the "increase fee" option is not working for you but yes, "Cancel" will basically increase the fees and instead of sending them to the original destination, it will send them back to you.

I don't understand it either. Is it just "Increase fee" and then you put the amount (I put over 100 sat/byte) and press ok, right? And then it opens "Transaction" page where you see the new Fee and it gives you options:

Export, Save, Combine, Sign, Broadcast (in grey, can't click on it) and Close.

When I click "Close", the fee is back at 2.4 sat/byte.  Huh

Then if I cancel it, any idea when it will be back at my wallet?

You're not supposed to close the window. You must first click "Sign" and then "Broadcast" in order for it to work.

As for your second question, then the transaction shouldn't take too long to confirm. See here for an estimation: https://bitcoinfees.net/
2626  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet fee on: January 21, 2021, 05:49:19 PM
What happens if I click "Cancel (double-spend)"? It doesn't chance the fee no matter how many times I try so can I cancel it and send it again? If it takes weeks or months with that speed (2.4 sat/byte) I'd rather cancel it and start it again.

I can't seem to understand why the "increase fee" option is not working for you but yes, "Cancel" will basically increase the fees and instead of sending them to the original destination, it will send them back to you.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need help.Bitcoin lost with mycelium /Besoin d'aide.Bitcoins perdus avec mycelium on: January 20, 2021, 06:08:08 PM
Try to sweep the paper wallet again and see if it works. The unknown address you're referring to must be the same one you have printed in your paper just in another format (legacy/segwit).
2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: private key to paper wallet on: January 20, 2021, 05:54:33 PM
The private key is all you need to spend your funds. So you can just print that (not the one you just shared obviously, you must create another one) and hide it somewhere safe.

Not sure what have you used to generate that private key, but I'd personally recommend using Bitaddress to generate your private key (with its associated address) and encrypt it with a password (BIP38). Give this topic a read: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5310734.msg56136799#msg56136799
2629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PAPER WALLET on: January 19, 2021, 05:59:49 PM
Take a look here: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-wallet/paper/

In addition to the "creation" process that is explained above, you should make sure to use a very strong password and also hide the paper in a safe place.
2630  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: hold btc for 2 years with Electrum on: January 19, 2021, 11:11:09 AM
Did you run Bitaddress locally  (after cutting off your internet)? If so, then someone must've got access to your paper wallet and retrieved the funds.

There is nothing wrong with running a cold-storage with Electrum but if you're planning to store a large amount, then I would personally recommend you to buy a hardware wallet instead. A ledger nano X or a trezor would be a great choice.
2631  Economy / Services / Re: Buy Unlimited VCC issuing Platform on: January 19, 2021, 11:06:16 AM
How are these cards issued exactly? If you have a running site, then I'd like to take a look. I'm not interested in the site itself but rather the cards. I'm a bit curious to know how this is possible with no KYC required..
2632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Verifying Bitcoin Core on: January 19, 2021, 08:14:08 AM
Do I need to verify every time I run it?

Not every time you run the executable, but each time a new version is released. You must verify the files before installing them.
2633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can we buy and sell gifts trough bitcoin on: January 16, 2021, 07:09:39 AM
thanks for the heads up. My question is, how do you set the payment window to 15 minutes instead of the default 60 minutes?

I just checked my account, and apparently, there is no way to do it using the UI. You'll have to create a charge using their API and then set the expiry time. See here[1]

on: January 15, 2021, 11:43:00 AM

2637  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO replyin emails time on: January 15, 2021, 07:52:52 AM
It seems every popular exchange or service has its own representative here in bitcoin talk. Is there a thread that acts as a directory of contacts here in the forum? Would it be great to have that? Do you happen to know one?

I'm not aware of any topics and I don't see the point in having one, to be honest. Most of the services and exchanges that started from here abandoned their topics and are no longer offering support here.
2638  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Visa/Master Card ?... on: January 15, 2021, 07:41:32 AM
Where can I get a Prepaid Visa/Master card supported in Turkey ?...

AFAIK, Advcash is the only card that supports turkey. I asked the support and they told me that the cards are unavailable at the moment but you should be able to order them in a couple of weeks or so.

Also what RELIABLE exchanges do you guys use in turkey with no scams, fraud or BS ?...

Which payment method are you planning to use? For credit cards or wire transfers, take a look at Coinmama, Kraken, or BitPanda. Otherwise, you've got Localbitcoins for dealing locally.
2639  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Accidentally sent USDT Omnia from Binance to Bread (BRD wallet) BTC Address on: January 12, 2021, 12:57:03 PM
I could be wrong (maybe someone could correct me?) but AFAIK, bech32 addresses are not supported by the Omni protocol. If the address you sent the funds to starts with "1" maybe you can try the following:

1. Restore your wallet using Electrum. Here's a guide (make sure to choose "legacy" instead of "native segwit"): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204223.0
2. Go to the "Addresses" tab, locate the address you sent funds to then right-click and choose "private key".
3. You're good to go. You can go back to Omniwallet.org and proceed as explained by TryNinja.
2640  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Teaching how to get cheaper games packs instead of buying for $99 on: January 12, 2021, 12:46:38 PM
Which game packs are you referring to exactly? The ones found on Steam? If so, then you can take a look at G2A. You should be able to find them at a discount, especially if they're old packs.

If you don't manage to find what you're looking for there, then you can make an account in Paxful and look for someone who sells steam GCs. You'll find plenty of people, so just make sure to choose people based on their trust feedback and not on the price.
