2621  Other / Meta / Re: Please limit the length of forum ads if possible. on: February 10, 2017, 06:18:53 AM
The GunBot ad is much wider than the rest of the ads.

If you cut of the "extra" length of the add, it would equal roughly 20% of the length of the bitvest add.

I wouldnt call being 20% longer much wider.

I think if it was 50% longer it would be much wider

Please PM me once done, it involves the quick task of signing up to "WayUp" a job search site, and confirming your account with a .edu email address.

Once done, please post here and 1 person will receive $5 in Bitcoin when there have been 20 signups. If there are 100 signups I will give $10 to 3 posters on top of that.

bit.ly/collegewayup (or: https://www.wayup.com/?refer=8KHEHjhQ).

If you have many .edu accounts, please feel free to use as many as you want!

I was under the impression that we were not allowed to post ref links?

2623  Other / Archival / Re: [Knockout-Raffle] BTCC 100K Loaded Chip, 16 spots KO. 16/16 left! on: February 09, 2017, 08:51:20 PM
I really do not understand how this works and I feel like my chance to win is less than 6.25% but I know that can't be possible...

So if you take the first spot even, you have a 50% chance of winning, if you win do you get to pick even or odd again? Either way your chance of winning that round would be 50% and your chances of winning the first and second round are 25%, than the third round would be another 50%, so a 12.5% chance of winning and the odds of winning the last round would still be 50% and winning the raffle would be a 6.25% chance... wow it worked out image that.

But back to my question if you win round 1 evens, are you evens for round 2?

I hate to revive a dead thread but I figured I would update everyone it looks like derrik goon has really gone MIA. The phone number I had for him stopped working a while ago and if you call his google voice number it just rings and rings.

According to

http://odrc.drc.ohio.gov/OffenderSearch/Search.aspx

and

https://www.bop.gov/inmateloc/

he is not in federal prison or jail in ohio,

however he did deactivate his facebook within the last few days which is why I am posting this. he reactived and I messaged him and he seems to want to pay back his debts and he even paid me back in monetary terms,

I was keeping in touch with him kinda since he owes me 1 BTC (but really like $250 at the time he scammed it)

If anyone as his address I would love to write him!!!

2625  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [RAFFLE] Kialara Luckybit Edition Wood Box and Kialara Labyrinth (silver balls) on: February 08, 2017, 06:02:02 AM
hello, what is the real value of this product in raffle? tnx  Kiss

The Kialara is $150 USD, but the box is the real collectible.   It was never for sale and had to be won in a contest.   Only 10 were made, and only 9 exist in circulation currently.

The box doesn't look that special and it looks like anyone could get it done? Isn't there a master wood carver on this fourm that instead of charging their normal price of 5000 an hour does bitcoin stuff at like 10 an hour
2626  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] My own 1 OZ silver coin TMAN IS OUT on: February 08, 2017, 05:13:23 AM
that's too bad, i think you would actually get more sales if you did to be honest Smiley

I 100000% doubt that

Maybe series 5 or 6 could have my username on it.

My username isnt appealing, I do not see why anyone would want it on a coin
2627  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Stay Nasty Bitcoin T-Shirts (Ron Burgundy meets Guy Fawkes) on: February 08, 2017, 05:07:07 AM
If you get more of these made, can you do some in black?   I like the green one I have but it's not really my style.

If I did them in black, what color should I make the black in the design?

I think gold would be really cool
2628  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] My own 1 OZ silver coin TMAN IS OUT on: February 08, 2017, 04:54:16 AM
Are you going to hammer in your username on them? i dont think id want one without it...thanks!

I am not,
2629  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] My own 1 OZ silver coin TMAN IS OUT on: February 08, 2017, 03:40:24 AM
I would like to see .999 silver stamped on it if possible.  Is there a reason that wouldn't be doable?

Because I all ready ordered the stamper. I could get it in engraved but that would add a cost of $6 to each set...

You could let them know a mistake was made and you need the stamper corrected.   Wink

In my eyes it's a large oversight and I'd expect people to question why the pure silver item isn't marked as such.  If anything you could purchase one of the $10 stamps from etsy/ebay and hammer it in yourself.

Show me where I can get a $10 stamper that says .999 silver on it ;p

I guess I could, that is a really good idea better than getting it engraved...

The only one I can find is

https://www.etsy.com/listing/250063316/round-custom-design-or-logo-jewelry

and this guy literally as the worst customer service on the entire planet.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/274007926/15mm-999-fine-silver-mark-metal-stamp

Wow. Problem solved, thanks so much.

Now, I guess I will PM everyone that ordered one to see what they want it to say.

Its funny you want a legit and consistent amazon bulk gift card buyer when you are the exact opposite of that.

Do you have receipts for these cards ?

If you are not going to worry about the finish..Consider artificially toning them.. they could be dipped in a chemical that will darken them and give different colors of blues or reds...Just in idea

Thats a great idea, I am not going to do that for this batch. But possibly the next one.... I havn't seen anyone do that.

Blood red lol

The censorship around here remains staggering.  Just about any easy comment against Blockstream and your comment is booted.

try posting the dox of any admin or bitcointalk treasurer

some things are left better censored.

I guess I kinda got a big update to announce.

I received the silver blanks a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised that they where all ready rimmed and look better than I thought they would, I will post a photo of them in the OP.

The stamper was delayed heavily, should have only taken about a week to come to me, but I just received the tracking number for it and I should have it by friday SO on friday I will posting pictures of one finished set (without the engraving) and I expect these to be shipping the 24th the latest.

My time table right now is this:

Receive stamper on February 9th,
have coins stamped and ready to be sent to engraver on the 15th.
Receive coins back from engraver on the 22nd.

Nice looking silver rounds, I hope you use cotton gloves when you touch them... Also will your die have ".999 silver"

It will not,

I have been using pieces of an old tshirt, but I do not think that the guy at the machine shop is gonna wear cotton gloves but I can certainly request it lol

Sounds cool!
Update us with some pictures once you have it.
Are you planning on making a test portotype at first, or you are just going to mint them all at once?
Either ways, the Dies look neat, and I hope the design and the stamping machine is quality enough.

Its going to be stamped with a 60 ton hydraulic press, which to my understanding presses it in, when it reality it should be quickly struck to leave the design. But I am hoping since silver is malleable, that I made my design thick enough and that it will come out looking good
