2641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin wallet suddenly activates after 11 years on: March 11, 2022, 09:25:05 PM
I learnt one thing, that from every rumour, there's an element of truth.

You didn't learn anything true or useful then, sound a bit gullible more than anything. While it's interesting to see a wallet "reactivate" after such a long time, it's pointless trying to work out who the owner might be and you're better off not trying to hypothesis leads because there is no purpose to it. There are lots of people with lots of money out there, maybe this wallet got cracked, maybe someone came out of a coma for ten years, what benefit is it to you? People always trying to unmask Satoshi when part of the charm and mystery around this entity is that they stay unknown forever, it's better that way. Either way, this person has just unlocked a lot of cash, so good luck to them.
2642  Economy / Economics / Re: Never expect you to be rich without investment on: March 11, 2022, 09:12:37 PM
"I was not born into a rich family, nor am I one who will receive much inheritance from my parents and I have to work hard to make ends meet." At least that's a sentence from my friend that inspired me to make this thread.

I honestly feel that the sentence above is one of the saddest sentences to hear when someone starts talking about their economic condition. It is clear that everyone is obliged to work to support himself and his family, but when they neglect investment then I believe that these people will never get rich except by a miracle of God.

Investing I mean not just crypto investing, but any investment he likes. This allows one to make good profits in the future. That is, the more assets that can be invested, the greater the bright hope for the future. I've heard stories about investing $1000 in crypto making someone a billionaire before (in our fiat currency), and it's a fact to say that don't expect to get rich without investing unless you are the heir to rich parents.

You have to define rich in this context, for most societies if you have a job that makes the average across the country it is possible with enough time and if you buy your own house to become reasonably comfortable. You are rich versus people who have the instability of renting from a landlord after it is paid off and you can likely live comfortably off a pension you might have accrued from your company as well. It really does vary so much between countries that it's hard to define, but most would be happy enough in that situation without the desire to be overly rich. Investing can come with very high risk depending on what you're buying into and can set you back quite far if you make the wrong choices, so be wary of assuming it'll work out well.
2643  Economy / Gambling / Re: Turkish football Giants Galatasaray sign sponsorship deal with Bitget on: March 10, 2022, 05:29:28 PM
Another positive achievement for the Turkish football Giants as they successful bag a sponsorship deal with world renowned crypto currency exchange platform, Bitget.
Bitget is a world class company that deal on Bitcoin and other related merchandise but have spread their tentacles and have partnered with the Turkish side, Galatasaray. This deal runs through the 2021/2022 season.
Galatasaray vice president, Bike Kanke is excited for this collaboration and stated that the club had being in dire need of a crypto company who had an interest in football and are glad that one of the world's leading crypto company has set their sights on them.
Bitcoin CEO, Sarah Lou is also excited for the partnership and is thrilled over the impact the club is having on the country. Bitget has partnered with clubs like Juventus and eSports teams like Professional Gamers League and Team spirit. Kudos to them 👍👍👍 https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases/bitget-signs-sponsorship-deal-with-turkish-football-team-galatasaray

Just goes to show how much money there is in this business and how football clubs all around the world will accept it from crypto firms with open arms. I think the biggest sponsorship partner in this arena was probably seeing Crypto.com plastered all over Formula 1 races, but this year also saw a record amount of crypto related advertisers at the Super Bowl. It's worth considering that all this money is effectively being funded by the super high commissions and fee structures that these sites use. Frankly, you might be better off avoiding the larger sites that are going heavy on advertising because there are plenty of smaller sites who do not charge as much - just do a little research to make sure they have quality reviews.
2644  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia can evade sanction through cryptocurrencies on: March 10, 2022, 07:52:38 AM
The Russia's central bank wanted cryptocurrencies to be banned in its country but the Russian president, Vladimir Putin said bitcoin mining and other crypto mining will be beneficial for Russia. Some people at that time have been supectimg this could be a move by the Russia's president that he is planning to invade Ukraine which will result to sanctions, thinking cryptocurrencies would be a means to evade sanctions and make it economically less effective.

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov demand crypto exchanges to freeze all Russian accounts so that the sanction can be effective, but most exchanges did not support this. I read few days ago that cryptocurrencies may not help in Russia sanction but FinCEN concluded that Russia can attempt to use cryptocurrencies to evade sanctions.

FinCEN Provides Financial Institutions with Red Flags on Potential Russian Sanctions Evasion Attempts

What is your take? What role can cryptocurrencies play in helping Russia sanctions evasion and to what extent can this be?

This is rubbish because the cryptocurrency networks do not have the capacity to handle the amount of transactions a country like Russia would need efficiently. Even if it did somehow manage to make this work, sanctions on any individuals or companies would wipe out any potential benefit very clearly - at best this could provide a very short term solution. However it will be of limited benefit to them right now, because the ruble has already plunged so far and a lot of their trade is denominated in foreign currencies, which they cannot get back into the country. Anyone who thinks they're smart by evading financial restrictions in this sort of way could become a huge target and be made an example of by many regulators.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 10, 2022, 07:49:15 AM
Heartbroken parents say Hull teacher was victim of 'predatory' gambling industry. Whom to blame for this sad incident ?

Why not try to find the root cause here first. Where were the parents when their 16 years old son was addicted to gambling ? They should have monitored his activities and this situation would not have raised. You cannot blame the doctors on insufficient medical treatments when the son could have be taught at home to avoid excessive gambling. I would consider it a negligence on parents behalf as it was their first duty to keep an eye on their children.

You're right that there is likely some other underlying cause that drives people to gamble and figuring this out is super important if the person is ever to be free. It's the same with most addictions, at least the the beginning, there will be a reason that someone got into it - might be peer pressure or simply wanting to do what friends do, it might be a "fun" experience at the start, it might alleviate the feeling of boredom, it might be the buzz from winning, maybe it reminds them of a childhood with parents or many other things. Unfortunately at that age the human brain is still learning and developing, so it can be affected more heavily than an older person - whatever institution allowed them to gamble or provided machines without age protection are definitely somewhat responsible.
2646  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Trump be the right choice for the ownership of Chelsea. on: March 09, 2022, 09:02:26 PM
I recently came across a sport headline breaking: Donald Trump reveals interest in buying Chelsea football club. And many thoughts ran through my mind, can Trump among many other bidders be the right man for the club. Cause it's only businessmen with the kind of passion as Roman Ibrahimovic had for the club that can still sustain and keep keeping the flag flying from where Ibrahimovic stopped.

What your take on this, with the likes of Trump in the race for the ownership of Chelsea?

I don't see how anyone could want Trump having anything to do with their club, all he did as President was spread terrible bile, division and anger - he is an awful "leader" that is only interested in his own ego. This is the man who infamously exclaimed injecting bleach and shining UV into the body would miraculously cure Covid. Who spent more days golfing than any previous president, by a long stretch, at his own golf club no less (at taxpayer expense) while he was meant to be running the biggest economy in the world. He went bankrupt twice and is known for calling $1 million dollars a "small loan" when it come to his start in business. He can take his money and stick it up his ass before he'll ever be welcomed by the public in the UK.
2647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaked statement about digital asset from Secretary Janet L. Yellen on: March 09, 2022, 05:23:58 PM
There's a deleted article from the Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen in regards to digital assets. Good thing they got archived by the web archive here: https://web.archive.org/web/20220309014601/https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/jy0643

What do you think about this executive order? Was this the reason in regards to the recent pump in the market? I mean the EO was a positive thing for crypto, so it might be.

It's strange that they have chosen to delete it, as it seems like a relatively mild press release. I guess this is a sort of "soft launch" and may they wanted to publish it on another day or place where they will hope to get maximum usage from it. Ultimately everyone in the US can expect more regulation, but it seems there is already quite a bit in place already - we see Coinbase on the stock market and they will be subject to all the financial laws of a normal operating company, if they can do it then there is little further regulation to take place. They'll probably just want greater traceability on every exchange that wants to do business with Americans and probably target newer coins with increased anonymity features.
2648  Economy / Economics / Re: Gas/Energy on: March 09, 2022, 05:16:38 PM
The use of gas is much more efficient on both financial and environmental way. Once EU will start using coal again to supply energy towards consumers instead of gas the whole ecosystem will collapse gradually resulting in more pollution.

The infrastructure is already in place helping with heating. Not everything has to be electric to help the planet survive as the other resources have to be used in order to balance the ecosystem. Why thinking is better to burn coal to produce electricity or heating while there is a better alternative.

Using coal is old fashioned and not environmental friendly. Technology has evolved over the last decade giving alternative ways of creating new energy that produces zero emissions and countries where the sun burns energy which doesn’t affect the air quality.

Let's be honest, gas is a fossil fuel and it's been touted as "green" by many people but it is no such thing. Sure it might not be as polluting as coal, but it is a finite and diminishing resource that is usually associated with oil extraction. Nuclear power is what's needed and besides everyone getting afraid on the word, it is a lot cleaner and subsequently healthier than a comparative coal fired power station. It was a bit naive of Germany to suddenly rush to close them all down after the tsunami affected one in Japan. Gradually a complete shift to renewable energy like wind and solar needs to happen, but battery capacity needs to improve or there will be inadequate storage to handle spikes.
2649  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 09, 2022, 04:53:24 PM
8. Get a gambling license.
Many people doesn't like to submit KYC, but they're prefer a casino having license even KYC is mandatory rather than a casino doesn't have license but offer no KYC. This because no KYC casino doesn't offer promotions due to easily to abuse, unlike a KYC casino will have various promotions. Of course you shouldn't ask KYC to anyone as long as they're not abusing your casino. You also shouldn't allow someone can deposit but they need to submit KYC to able withdraw the funds, this is worst.

9. Active on forum.
It doesn't mean you need to active 24/7, you can active once a day, once in every three days or even once a week. You need to be active since many members will ask some questions related to your casino or some people have a problem with your casino. If you ignored their problems, many people will have bad impression on your casino.

10. Don't try to use paid shills or bumping service.
Having a thread shown in the first page or even first row will make your casino will be visible to anyone which visited gambling board. But don't try to use paid shills or bumping service to make your thread remain on the first row, this isn't good advertisement and many people will think your casino is scummy or rug pull project, don't try to abuse this forum system.

I think there is some flexibility with the first two points. People sometimes overestimate the important of a gambling license at some of these jurisdictions, it means very little - it's a paid mascot often with no regulator to help the customers which is why people would have any faith in them in the first place, basically an illusion of security. If you're a casino owner it helps to be active on the forum and you do need to resolve any allegations of impropriety, however you can also pay others to do a lot of this for you. On the last point, it is amazing how some casino operators think they're being sneaky with shills but it leaves an obvious trail and is identifiable over time - definitely one thing to avoid, little gain for major downside potential.
2650  Economy / Economics / Re: Your wealth and options during the bad times on: March 08, 2022, 08:04:11 PM
What u need specually right now
Have some coins crypto have some gold and cash.
In bad times those who not think about this things have likely less change to survive.
2022 will be economically survivaiol of the fittest.
"Its a financial hunger games kind of time"

Dont need to say about concpiracy theories or about elite by the time you will find out about that it will be too late.

If u have just cash it might not be enough diversion of assets and crypto is the way to go.
Elite knows it will be survivaiol of strongest in this economic collapse the great depression 1930 was just walk in the park.
But elite bankers knows they can not save people as population all ready exeeds % 50% of people will be wiped off like a dust.

Safe places locations are:
Monaco, south france, st tropez cannes, italy some part of italy like porto cervo switzerland.
Those places will be untouched and banking system all others willl work fine there if you go there there one person have enough money to feed all country also you can get drive to ferrari or yacht for free as they have so many yachts and luxury cars they can just give away.
And off course during world wars those places never touched but also who sell military equipment for everyone and organize merchants..dont ask where are they located.

By the time you find out what is our world really are it will be too late for you.

You have some very bizarre and incorrect notions of reality. There must be something slightly wrong with you if you think that any country or person is handing out ferrari's or yacht's for free, this fantasy world you live in does not exist. The best thing you can do in troubled times is exactly what you should do in calmer times - invest in yourself, aim for a house purchase if this is appropriate in your country (gives greater stability), while trying to build an investment pot and pension if you can. If you invest in times of crisis you are able to pick up stocks in companies super cheap. This idea of yours is basically to "be rich already" which is hardly a plan at all.
2651  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you suggest a crypto spoortsbookmakers with a diposit bonus? on: March 08, 2022, 07:50:09 PM
Hello all .Can you suggest a cryto  spoortsbookmakers with a diposit bonus

So that I can bet on this bonus straight away

You really need to be careful with going for casino welcome bonuses as most of the time they are a setup and can actually work against you. They often have requirements like you must wager X amount of times before the money can be withdrawn or they might even label your account as someone who is unlikely to be someone who is profitable to a betting company (e.g. someone who is only interested in taking perks and running with the money). Be sure to read all the terms around your welcome bonus and make sure you understand them before depositing, so there is no nasty surprises like a free bet vanishing after the first 24 hours when you didn't use it up.
2652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBAY might accept BITCOIN on: March 07, 2022, 09:17:48 PM
Hey guys theres a news article stating that ebay might be accepting Bitcoin and other cryptos, if this happens then I believe itll be a game changer for the crypto world. Not sure how credible the article is , has anyone else heard anything similar. Also there was mention of an announcement on march 10 to confirm this. If positive,  We could see a new high even in these times uncertainty .

If you're going to state such a claim the very least you could and should do is include a link to the relevant article, not wait for someone to respond with a link for you. Nonetheless it is a very interesting development and could herald much wider publicity for Bitcoin and will certainly encourage more buyers if they see a big outlet where they can spend on products. Amazon seemed to be flirting with the idea of allowing Bitcoin for a time but then all went quiet. To have such a huge retailer on board would be a huge boost to the eco system, but we need to be wary of hailing it as good news because Paypal managed to do the same but set it up in a really manipulative manner (no external transfers, they had all the control)
2653  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FIFA and UEFA has suspended Russian Football teams. on: March 07, 2022, 08:31:12 PM
It was in the news yesterday that FIFA and UEFA has together suspended Russian Football teams and clubs indefinitely.
It was said that all the teams that were supposed to play against Russia in their forth coming friendlies and world cup qualifiers vowed to boycott the match, so at the end, FIFA and UEFA had no choice but the suspend Russia from all international matches.

Russia in response to the suspension has come out to say that the suspension is discriminatory.

What do you guys think of this development? How will this affect the players and athletes as well as workers in/for the team, how about the forth coming world cup?

It seems like a fair reprisal for the Russian invasion. The footballers had huge wages before this crisis so if they were sensible with their money you shouldn't need to feel sorry for them - they earn many times what the average person might get paid in their whole lifetime. It's the supporting staff who you should feel bad for, as they will probably get fired pretty soon as budgets dry up and there is no funds to pay for extras. It's only the very biggest clubs that will likely be able to survive at a professional level and the whole Russian economy will be going through turmoil right now. Football is not the only thing affected, we see similar bans on Judo, Ice Skating, Olympics, Formula 1 and the list seems to be growing every day.
2654  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: March 07, 2022, 08:19:09 PM
Money dont smell. If side job is not illegal, I have free time and dont feel lazy, then I would definitely do it. Specially if it is near me and I dont have to bother a lot. It is better to have couple of dollars in my pocket, then gain couple of inched in waist while laying dont on sofa. Only lazy people dont want to earn extra.
True, I think most people have an extra income, regardless of what they do. If it makes money why not, as long as it doesn't deviate from the norms and rules. And it's good when we have a side job so that our free time is not wasted (not including our time to rest). And I agree with your opinion, only lazy people don't do anything productive in their free time.

I'd say the vast majority of people out there are lucky if they've found a minimum wage job and many are happy to settle for that too. It takes a lot of searching, trial and error, persistence and at least a bit of intelligence to find extra side jobs that pay enough to keep people interested. Perseverance is the major obstacle, there is lots of money out there but it can take a long time to earn it and if you give up early you might never see a good return. Being wise with your money can also mean investing, which grows your capital over time and effectively means you own companies where other people earn money for you. However, there has never been a better time to find jobs - even if it's things like Uber deliveries.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Disorder ? on: March 07, 2022, 06:31:30 PM
I was going through my feed when I saw this article :
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news/hull-east-yorkshire-news/heartbroken-parents-say-hull-teacher-6755181.amp

According to the article the parents of the 24 Year old teacher blamed inadequate Gambling treatment and medicines available right now, also improper assesment of Gambling disorder. Their son became an addict by using fixed odds at the age of 16-17 and ultimately his addiction spiralled out of control.

This made me go further in the article to find more about Gambling disorder, according to the current education, it's categorized under impulsive disorder, in the US they are actually treated with medicine like : Mood stabilizers, Opioids, antidepressants and antipsychotic pills.

Is your country doing enough to inform people about the disorder? It's does require medical treatment first and foremost therefore I do think I would suggest anyone banning their accounts and asking help from social platforms to go to a certified therapist. It's not a joke and should not be taken lightly.

Do you think the laws needs improvement?
Do you think as the parents mentioned that Gambling industry has a *predatory* stance, is true?

It's a tough situation because the persons age is definitely the point of contention here. Nobody who is 16-17 should be allowed anywhere near such gambling machines because their brain is still developing and they might get hooked on gambling much easier than somebody older. There should be a cut off, say 21 or 25, where people need to at some point take responsibility for their own actions - whether that is abstaining entirely and/or getting appropriate treatment. However gambling companies are often quite subversive in how they target younger generations and it often takes regulators a lot time to take corrective actions. I feel bad for the person in the article, but they should not have been allowed on the premises or be able to use such machines in the first place, maybe the owners of the property with the gaming machines on (that make a nice profit) also need to share responsibility.
2656  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 06, 2022, 01:45:05 PM
I did not make an in-depth investigation of the articles you provided, but I think the misunderstanding may be that I wrote about the fact that 1xbet activities (as company) have been banned in Russia. The articles, you provided probably say that the 1xbet website has been blocked in that countries.

I don't have any evidence, that's just 1xbit support statement.

It's clear that you are completely biased and are willing to advertise for this scam site, even after it has destroyed your trust rating at these forums - it's unlikely anyone will ever do business again with you in future. Of course 1xbit are going to say that, 1xbet was launched after their reputation and terrible business practices were exposed here, so they could snare a whole new set of customers. Anyone who has been around here for just a little while can easily see to stay away from them and no sane casino owner would make such a business name that has an obvious connection. Either way, everyone should avoid doing business with anyone affiliated in Russia because the sanctions just seem to keep getting worse and your money might get caught up in that next.
2657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and her sisters: Why do most governments hate her? on: March 06, 2022, 11:59:51 AM
Can anyone make digital coins? I don't know. What's its circulation mechanism? And who's her guarantor? I don't know.

That's how a pedestrian says on a street in Cairo, echoing questions that many might think of. But what if governments make these coins? The verse may turn.

In general, most countries in the world deal with popular digital currencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

https://www.nwscoin.com/2022/03/bitcoin-and-her-sisters-why-do-most.html

To answer your first question, yes - almost anyone with an internet connection and the ability to do a bit of reading can make a cryptocoin. Will it be any good? Probably not because there are already thousands and unless it has a very unique selling point (aka something original behind it) then it's unlikely to break into a big market. Central banks most definitely have a lot more power to launch, maintain and publicize any stablecoin that they choose to release so we're likely to see this happening in future. It looks like many countries around the world are investigating this, even China who have been a bit wary about the idea. I think the wasteful energy side of crypto is the biggest let down for it right now, when many people who will never have any need to use crypto are seeing record energy bills in most countries it is getting hard to defend it and politicians will find it an easy target to conserve energy.
2658  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 06, 2022, 11:29:27 AM
Note: This thread intended for new casinos, that's why it's posted on Gambling board.

Many new casinos doesn't understand how this forum work, forum rules and how to advertise on this forum. Some casinos just started creating topic with poor plain text announcement and some might doesn't even complete developing his sites. How you can make someone move to your new casino while their old casino are better than yours? No one will want to try out your sites. We can't blame them since new accounts wouldn't recognized this forum yet, this is why I create this thread. This 10 steps will help you understand to promote your brand new casino in this forum.

This is based on my own observations around popular casinos in this forum, this forum doesn't endorse/force new casinos to have good announcement or run advertisements (e.g. signature campaign, contest etc).

tl;dr you need to have huge money to start new casino, understand the forum rules, prepare good announcement, finished your sites with complete informations, be active, run various advertisements, don't too strict, don't hire paid shills, and have a licenses.

These are some excellent tips that you put together and will help any budding casino owner who wants to get into the game. There is one thing that will be crucial to any casino or gambling operation - security. As a place where "anonymous" crypto currency is moving in and out, you will have people constantly trying to attack your site in all sorts of ingenuous ways. If you're using a pre-built clone type solution you'll probably have a bit more protection as it has been tested by others before you, however if you're using new and custom code then expect all sorts of unexpected exploits. They'll also be people who will attempt denial of service on your site, you cannot make money if it is down - so you will probably have to pay for some expensive mitigation which I guess comes back to the first point, you will need a lot of money to stay up.
2659  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold is the new gold... or the old gold... or both on: March 06, 2022, 10:48:19 AM
It is with sadness that I see how bitcoin has dropped (nothing new really) in sync with the global markets around 11% last week while the old gold, AKA simply "gold" has made a rush to 6.5% in the last month. Needless to say that this is related to the war in Ukraine and the prospects of instability, not that it was unexpected, tend to draw people towards gold.

I wonder if bitcoin can still be considered a reserve of value when is following and correlating this much with stocks markets.

It's somewhat predictable that this was going to happen with cryptocurrencies. Gold has been a store of value for decades, if not centuries and that is because it has a fairly predictable limited supply. It is used by people in many countries to offer protection and stability against any volatility within their local currencies, which it has been able to do relatively well for a long time. There have been large swings in the price of gold but the historical trend has always been drifting upwards - it has jewelry and industrial usages. Contrast that with cryptocurrency which has only been around for about 14 years and there is bound to be some jittery behavior in periods where the markets are facing huge volatility.

What do you guys think of this development? How will this affect the players and athletes as well as workers in/for the team, how about the forth coming world cup?

The suspension is meant to be discriminatory, that is the whole purpose of singling out this nation that has invaded and caused the biggest war in Europe since World War 2 ended - that's a bit of a dumbass response from the Russian government but that's no surprise. It's unfortunate that Russian footballers will suffer in their careers and they cannot even speak out against the war without being persecuted within Russia, along with all the auxiliary staff who will lose jobs - there are vast amounts of workers who will not be able to feed their families soon. This all pales into comparison with the suffering the Russian army is committing against the people of Ukraine however, so Russian's will get no sympathy here.
