2641  Other / Archival / Re: Binance Expands Crypto Adoption on: June 24, 2022, 04:57:05 AM
@Ratimov. Binance will also compete in NFT creation and distribution. If FTX partnered with NFL goat Tom Brady, Binance partnered with another sports goat Cristiano Ronaldo. I am quite certain the marketing for this will bring more people in the cryptospace through NFT. I shake my head when some people say that NFTs are just scams. It will be an introduction to all of crypto. There will be a community of users who will care for pictures much more than coins.

Proud to be partnering with @binance

Together we’ll give you the opportunity to own an iconic piece of sports history.

I’m excited to take this journey with all of you. Let’s change the NFT game with #Binance.

2642  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-06-17] Bitcoin mining becomes unprofitable as BTC price falls on: June 24, 2022, 03:22:54 AM
@stompix. Also, if mining is really unprofitable for the biggest miners, they can get a loan in fiat against their bitcoins, mining hardware and other assets to use for their cashflow and business expenses while waiting for the market to improve again. This bear market might be overestimated and in reality it might end sooner than speculated.

As I said above, from banks they will get the same answer as shale oil a few years ago, no cash for you!
For the bear market thing, well, bitcoin going back to 30k and even 40k won't be that much of a relief for miners, a lot of hashrate is already ordered so if the price goes up it will get plugged in rising difficulty diminishing revenue, for let's say good times, not extraordinary good like back last year in April, we would need around 60k at same difficulty.
24 cents instead of 8 per TH/s, an s19 making 24$ a day, burning 8$ at 10cents/kwh, ROI in a year and something, all numbers rounded up to make it easier.

I reckon that miners should find a new type of lender. Tether, iFinex, Tether should be very perfect for this kind of situation hehe. I am not sure what would be the business arrangement, however, everyone knows Tether accepts commercial papers for short term loans. This would be very useful for miners if their problem is monthly cashflow. They can leverage 1 month of expenses and repay this then reborrow repeatedly until the market and difficulty are stable.

@ETFbitcoin. It would kill their business. How will the miners repay the loan?
2643  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-06-23] Bitcoin Struggles to Rebound as Miner Capitulation Continues on: June 24, 2022, 02:45:24 AM
It appears that bitcoin news media is trying very hard to create a storyline that there is a miner capitulation presently happening in the cryptospace. This is very similar to 2018 and 2019 when clickbait titles with articles of poor research were published.

There is no miner capitulation. This is fud. If miners sell more coins, this should certainly be most welcome for the community because more coins in the community's hands are more chances for those coins to be in circulation. This is important for bitcoin's growth as a currency.

Is there a difference between playing 10 teams and 12 teams? In any case, I might regret this suggestion later. I suggest for everyone's continued motivation until the end of the season, bottom 2 teams pay between $20 and $25 each.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 23, 2022, 04:39:31 AM
I am not certain how the boxing experts like in the forum assess Beterbiev, however, considering only the skills, should he be included in the top 10 pound for pound best boxers? He should be included, I reckon. What is your assessment, @Boafeng?

For sure, he should at least crack the top 10 by now, but let's see how those boxing analyst will put Arthur on their next listing.

And speaking of Beterviev, his fight with Smith is not PPV, but interesting numbers:

Quote
The June 18 edition of Top Rank Boxing on ESPN fired on all cylinders, including a main event where an average of 912,000 viewers tuned in for Beterbiev’s second-round, technical knockout of Joe Smith Jr. Beterbiev defended his unified lineal/WBC/IBF light heavyweight championship while violently snatching Smith’s WBO title in Saturday’s headliner at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City.

https://www.boxingscene.com/beterbiev-smith-main-event-drew-average-audience-912000-viewers-on-espn--167128

So I guess that's a good numbers for that fight. Maybe Beterviev's next will surely headline a PPV event. Maybe Arum is just testing the waters for this one. ESPN and Top Rank should consider him as a good PPV fighters now.

Who will be next for Beterbiev? If I was the promoter it should be against Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed light heavyweight championship. All fans of all types of sport will watch it, it will create millions in profit for the fighters, the sponsors and the promoters. However, I am quite certain this will not happen hehe. I am not certain why boxing promoters are like this. It might only be organized when they are old, very much similar to Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook or Mayweather vs. Pacman.

This should bring attention to the importance of Defi protocols like Uniswap, onchain mixing similar to Tornado Cash, usage of anonymous coins and the development ZK rollups similar to ZKsync. Everything the community needs has been developed and will continue to be developed. If a scammer like Sifu can interact directly to a smart contract for onchain mixing and mock everyone about it on Twitter, it is very clear that it cannot get more unstoppable than this hehehehe.
2647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no future as a payments network, says FTX chief on: June 23, 2022, 01:53:54 AM
FTX's Sam Bankman Fried became a hero when he saved Sushiswap and became the villain when everyone began to speculate that it was him through Alameda Research who was liquidating everyone. He is presently helping some of the largest cryptolending companies with their cashflow through providing USDC and Bitcoin revolvers hehehe. Will he become the hero again? The cryptospace has a memory of a goldfish.

NEW YORK, June 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ - Voyager Digital Ltd. ("Voyager" or the "Company") (TSX: VOYG) (OTCQX: VYGVF) (FRA: UCD2) today announced its subsidiary, Voyager Digital Holdings, Inc. ("VDH"), has entered into a definitive agreement with Alameda Ventures Ltd. ("Alameda") related to the previously disclosed credit facility, which is intended to help Voyager meet customer liquidity needs during this dynamic period.

VDH entered into a definitive agreement with Alameda for a US$200 million cash and USDC revolver and a 15,000 BTC revolver (the "Loan"). As previously disclosed, the proceeds of the credit facility are intended to be used to safeguard customer assets in light of current market volatility and only if such use is needed. In addition to this facility, as of June 20, 2022, Voyager has approximately US$152 million cash and owned crypto assets on hand, as well as approximately US$20 million of cash that is restricted for the purchase of USDC.

In any case, Joshua vs. Usyk 2 has officially been announced. The fight will be on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I think Anthony Joshua might win this, very much similar to his upset loss then rematch win vs. Andy Ruiz.

The new match will take place on the 20th August 2022, with the destination for the fight also having been announced – which is Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Gamrot vs Holtzman. The game of the two talented and willing fighters was great. I can say that Gamrot has shown his best performance so far. I'm starting to think he might be a superstar. Gamrot still undefeated. His only lost was by idiotic split decision by judges. Even his enemy Kutaladze was admitted he lose that fight againist Gamrot.

Agreed! It appears there is another very underestimated fighter for another main event. Has everyone forgotten Emmett vs. Kattar already? I am not predicting the victory for Mateusz Gamrot as a certainty, however, the odds for him is very high and very much similar to where Emmett's odds was placed by the sportsbooks hehehe. Do not underestimate the man from Poland!
2650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin on: June 22, 2022, 06:47:35 AM
@Daltonik. What is also head shaking is Su Zhu and 3 Arrows. They have already made their profit from the bull market, however, they took loans and traded on leverage. If they only waited for the bubble pop and if they have bought bitcoin, ethereum, also bluechip coins and tokens they would be richer than Bill Gates in 8 years hehehee.

2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Macau's Casino Operation Continues Despite The Latest Outbreak on: June 21, 2022, 03:59:58 AM
Maybe it's because the Macau government thinks that casinos can make a big contribution in taxes compared to other businesses that still allow casinos to operate.
Or maybe the Macau government has other considerations in allowing casinos to operate that they haven't made known to the public.
It is up to the Macau government's policy to shut down which business they want as they, as regulators, will have their say.

It is not only about losing tax payments. Gambling in Macau includes more than 50% of their GDP. Closing this revenue inflow would kill their economy and take it into a recession. Also, through the Macau casinos are where large money laundering rings for mainland Chinese millionares are located. It might be something similar to a highly industrial country if they closed their factories.
2653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin on: June 21, 2022, 02:23:13 AM
@Daltonik. He should be very responsible and it will not be very shocking if he will go to prison for this. However, these onchain analyst and security organization should rescan and confirm everything before publishing their findings. This is their responsibility.

In any case, what appears to be the bigger problem is Celsius and 3 Arrows Capital's collapse. It is speculated that Celsius holds billions in institutional investors' money which is also speculated that it has deployed and worth half of the whole TVL of defispace. The other problem is 3 Arrows Capital. They have billions of undercollaterized loans from the biggest cryptolenders, Nexo, Blockfi, Celsius, Genesis.
2654  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: June 21, 2022, 01:38:01 AM
There always be the rich and powerful everywhere who tries to manipulate and takes advantage everything for profit. This is the reality of capitalism. Whether the name is Justin Sun, Changpeng Zhao, Sam Bankman Fried, Michael Saylor or Elon Musk, everyone like them is out there for profit.

It is not disputed that they are all in the crypto game because their ultimate goal is profit, but the way they will achieve it is important. I would not put Saylor on the same level as Musk, because the former has his own business philosophy and sticks to what he says from the first day he invested in Bitcoin, while the latter did a lot of damage with his tweets by pumping that altcoin, and even greater damage is made by his decision to withdraw Bitcoin as a payment option in one of his companies.

In any case, it is speculated that Zhu Su moved 3 Arrow Capital to Dubai from Singapore to avoid extradition to America for financial crime. This will again be very bad for the image of the cryptospace.

I read an article in which the SEC investigates Kwon, but they already admit that it will be difficult for them to prove that he intended to do something bad - even though he was extracting large amounts of money months before the collapse. I think that in this particular case it would be difficult to prove something, but if you have money and you are not completely stupid, you can at least temporarily evade justice.

I honestly would like to see Saylor's investment in bitcoin to be an inspiring success story, however, I cannot stop myself from being skeptical. I speculate him to be more dangerous than Elon Musk, very much similar to those politicians who always make themselves appear good in front of the public or similar to those scammers who want themselves to appear honest.
2655  Economy / Gambling / Re: I can beat bet365, but cant find good seller. Increese your acc 50/50 profit!!! on: June 20, 2022, 05:22:31 AM
when i read your post i immediately ran to google to find out if in your country they accept gambling or not and i found out that in your country they do not accept gambling. So far this is something very problematic, however you can search for someone casino that is not banning people from your country to play and who accept using VPN. you don't just need to be using this risky method that you are proposing here on the forum, look for other casinos that are suitable for your situation and that you won't break their TOS.

However, when it was me reading his post, I immediately became skeptical hehehe. What if he is only pretending to be living in a country that does not allow gambling? What if he really wants to use an account under your name to deposit dirty money in, gamble through the account then withdraw the laundered money. Also, does Bet365 allow money transfers between accounts?

5 arrested for money laundering via online betting

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested five members of an online betting racket, involved in money laundering abroad through virtual currency and e-transactions -- earned from various gambling websites such as Bet365, and 9 Wickets.

Anyway he's just as guilty as Bernie Madoff for projecting false profits and blowing up.

I also think that this is so, especially since according to the investigation conducted by Uppsala Security, the wallet that caused the collapse of UST belonged to Terraform Labs, so investors suffered losses due to the actions of Terra.

https://sentinel-protocol.medium.com/part-1-debunking-the-lunatic-conspiracy-what-you-didnt-know-about-the-activities-behind-the-57227b75d5a6

I do not know where to find Binance's analysis, however, it appears that CZ is telling everyone that Uppsala Security's assumption that the address or some of those addresses mentioned in their analysis is wrong and they do not belong to Terraform Labs.

Based on our analysis, this report is wrong. Not defending Terra, I have criticized them heavily. Just pointing out a mistake. Cunningham's law. The address in the article does not seem to belong to Terra.

Source https://mobile.twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1537930945981841415?s=12&t=swxOClSHPwlqYmhE99_e1w

Also, according to this article, Luna's whistleblower has also mentioned that the address is Kucoin's hot wallet.

The report caused further panic in the Terra community after it went viral. Interestingly, popular Terra whistleblower FatMan slammed the report as false on the grounds that the address does not belong to Terra developers, as claimed by Coindesk and Uppsala Security.

FatMan said the address belongs to a KuCoin hot wallet as opposed to being owned by the TFL team.

“I am disappointed that an outlet as prestigious as CoinDesk Korea would publish this without running basic checks,” FatMan said.

@logfiles. I predict that Justin Sun will come out of this cryptospace game richer and he will be a more important character than before. I am not telling everyone that he is the hero, however, he his a survivor.

We can call him by any name, but the fact that people like him have very little (or not at all) scruples and sell their ideas very successfully (however pointless they may be). They all prosper and cooperate in a world where profit is the common denominator, where all boundaries and disagreements disappear. It’s easy to be a survivor when you always have enough money to live like a king, no matter what happens to the projects and companies you have.

As for these crypto-landers, in my opinion, they should never have existed, much less they should have been trusted. Many have said it was a bad idea in the past, and now we know they were right - and I wouldn't care that they fail, but their failure hurts us all. Will people learn anything from all this? I honestly don’t hope too much given the short-term memory that the average cryptocurrency investor shows.

@LFC_Bitcoin. Agreed. I thought he would be one of the ethical founders in the cryptospace. However, he said this from an interview for a mainstream website. I am not certain what it implies, however, does he have an intention to bail out some of the cryptofunds and services in the cryptospace? He did this before when he helped save Sushiswap from failure on 2020.

If FTX and Alameda issues a public announcement of a bail out, this might cause a pump on much of the market hehehe.

"I do feel like we have a responsibility to seriously consider stepping in, even if it is at a loss to ourselves, to stem contagion," he said. "Even if we weren't the ones who caused it, or weren't involved in it. I think that's what's healthy for the ecosystem..."

@buwaytress. Agreed. I speculate that each of their company's' performance during the bear market, a coming economic crisis, Ukraine invasion and there is the risk of China's invasion of Taiwan might not be very good. There is also China's defense ministry. He has already warned that America and their allies should avoid the Taiwan Strait or there will be war.

I predict Saylor liquidation fud to begin if bitcoin dumps under $20k and cause more panic.

Except that now he seems to have backtracked somewhat and said that the danger is really not as significant as -- think 3 days ago, I saw the full transcript on phone and he said a lot of things that didn't seem to add up

Takeaways: plenty of assets left to collateralise, margin call wouldn't happen below 21k, and he's leveraged 1.04, so would need 95% drop of purchase price (so that's $2000) to get in trouble.

But I don't know, was a rough interview and vague as hell.

What he said is true. They have the assets to add more to their leveraged position if bitcoin dumps further, however, assuming that the asset is also bitcoin or stocks of Microstrategy would this really be the best decision as an investor? Everyone else is beginning to deleverage and Saylor will add more leverage? This is head shaking.

I expect crypto, like stocks to retract. But for some reason i hope Saylor will survive this bear market.
We've had so many idiots associated with crypto; Mcafee, Musk, Garza, Da Kown, it's good to have a normal person, a business person, being associated with crypto right?

I also hope Saylor survives this bear market. If he was liquidated this will certainly cause a dump lower than $5000 if some articles from mainstream news media are correct in their reports that his liquidation price is around $3000. This will also be very bad for business in the cryptospace.

Emmet is the popular badass and has been cheered by the crowd and that one jab from Josh Emmet has put down Mirsad Bektic on the ground that was 1 huge jab that stun Mirsad Bektic, that was one absolute win from Josh Emmet, and I really feel that Calvin Kattar will surely have a hard time and he surely admits it aswell that Josh Emmet is one tough opponent to crack, and he was right, Mirsad Bektic was knocked out on the 1st round, Sheesh! thanks for sharing this I am now seeing the big picture on how powerful Josh Emmet is,

Yup for his size he def hits hard.  And look at the way he's built.  Lol.  But I still have Kattar and he's still at my top ticket even after weigh ins.  So yeah, nothing has changed except Yanez go up one notch and Ramos goes down one notch aa Kelley missed weight..  I'm a tad more confident in Yanez now.

Yup, even though Josh Emmet has the power and Strength feat I think Calvin Kattar can manage that, I think Kattar has the advantage when it comes to striking, but Emmet has the strength in Wrestling so Kattar needs to watch out for those takedowns, pretty much I am very curious in what may happen for this fight, and because of that I am so much excited which might prevail Josh Emmet Strength on wrestling or Calvin Kattar's precise striking and technical distance,

Another fight that I am anticipating watching was Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone if he's able to win after his losses in his recent fights, or if Joe Lauzon can still make a worth from his 2 years not stepping inside the octagon, this is really interesting I think that with that experience and still active inside the ring can make an advantage against Lauzon,

Another thing is the fighting Kitty Gloria de Paula is worth mentioning and if that beauty can take on Maria Oliveira who now has 12 wins that are out of her 17 fights while de Paula only got 10 fights with 6 wins on it,

However, our sexy fighting kitten has very much improved. She was defeated by a good sexy kitty fighter called Cheyanne Vlismas but she has also won her next fight versus Diana Belbita who is another good sexy fighting kitty hehehe. I speculate that uncle Dana will be giving pretty Gloria de Paula these very easy next fights for her to secure a winning streak. They want to help her career because fans like her.
