2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 03, 2022, 04:48:42 PM
I have not heard of any new players joining the Lakers who are young and have great potential. LeBron James is getting old and it is obvious that his age is taking a toll on his performance. Looking at the Lakers team right now, we will see good experience and good players who have been around before. Anthony Davis is probably the only player who is reliable but I don't know if he is someone whom you can build a team around. Russell Westbrook and LeBron James are just too old right now. The Lakers are obviously going to have big changes in the future but till then it will be interesting to see how they can perform.
Yes, Anthony Davis is a player whom they can build a team around. Maybe Lakers will keep him for long even after Lebron James retires. It's not easy to find a big man like him who can shoot outside, has good freethrow percentage, and can-do post up plays perfectly.
It could because of what happened before when they have Lonzo, Randle, Kuzma, DLo in their roster, it failed, and it traumatized them to repeat that kind of mistake again. That's why they are not recruiting young guns.
No doubt he can be effective, probably one of the best centers now, however, if he gets injured most of the time, that would make the Lakers struggle especially in the playoffs because it was very evident that without Davis they cannot win against good teams in the NBA.

Hopefully this season to come he will be able to play more games, especially in the playoffs where he is needed the most.

It is likely that he will be the most important player for the Lakers if he can stay healthy. The only problem is that he is quite prone to injuries. The only reason I said that he is not someone reliable around whom a team can be built is because he is quite injury-prone. There is no doubt that the Lakers need him this season because without him I believe that the Lakers are going to be a failure in the playoffs this year. Furthermore, he is not an old man either. As a result, he will be able to provide his services to the team for a longer period of time. It is at least a long period of time compared to LeBron James and Russell.

Well, guess what? The season haven't started yet but Anthony Davis is already probable to play because of back problems and together with the 2 players from the bench namely Walker and Brown, the Lakers released an injury report for their pre-season game against the Sacramento Kings. If Davis will be like the most of the times, they need to start in forgetting Davis and find another reliable big man because they can't put all that load on Lebron's shoulders. His talent is very useful for the Lakers but what will that talent do if he's always on the sidelines because of his never ending injuries.
2643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: October 03, 2022, 03:43:43 PM
I believe everybody has their worst day in gambling especially if you started gambling early maybe in your teenage age. My worst day was when I used my school fees to gamble because I thought I will make more money to take care of some of my needs in school. At the beginning I was making profit for 2hrs,I was carried away with the anxiety of winning but later the game turned round and I was losing and losing,I didn't quit hoping I will recover my lost. Before I knew it I was left with 10% of the money I started with, I couldn't just quit the game then because I still feel I will start winning again but luck failed me and I got drained of all I have on me.

Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

One of the best classic examples why we should only gamble when we have some spare funds, we already know that the money we had is already allocated specifically and we shouldn't use it for other reasons aside from emergency purpose. Although I can't really blame what the OP did because we have our own share of story and I don't if someone can relate but personally, most of the time, I think fate will be playing against us if we're using some funds that aren't allocated for gambling.
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: October 03, 2022, 02:32:50 PM
I think you should know that your ISP can track your online activities and they know if you are visiting gambling sites on your cell phone and computer. They can give this data to the government anytime if they feel like or if the government demands it. So i hope you are using a paid VPN and you know all the tips and tricks to hide your identity online. It's still not safe to play gambling online if the government had banned it already.
luckily I still haven't had a problem even though I only use cloudflare VPN when opening crypto gambling sites through my smartphone and laptop

I know for sure that my online activities have the potential to be tracked, but because I only use small capital, the authorities don't really care lol

It really depends upon the government, how much they are serious about catching the people who are gambling illegally, and usually the amount which you use to gamble should not matter.

Either the government does not know that you are a gambler or they don't have plans to actively caught people gambling, otherwise, they would have come to you irrespective that you gamble with small amounts.

We should not forget that the authorities have more serious problems to solve which they spend their time and money. The gambler does not bring significant problems to the state, so it is impractical to spend effort on tracking it. Of course there can be demonstrative processes for intimidation, but I do not think that this will make gamblers completely stop gambling.

In addition, do not forget that gambling can be played not only in land or online casinos. I'm sure that in every country there are illegal casinos where law enforcement agencies can't get in.

It would be a waste if the government will pour too much resources just to track down these gamblers just to impose the the new rule/law, it would be an expensive mistake because as said above, there are way more problems that needs to be prioritized that are more harmful to the people and its government. Instead of prohibiting it from the use of public, the government should just take advantage of it by taking taxes. They cannot just hunt everybody down as these days, people are way more clever than the authorities and there's VPN that can be used.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 02, 2022, 01:12:56 PM
Don't forget, Pringle is also back, so Ginebra is still a very dangerous team. I hope they'll have their first win in this conference, they are leading so far, so it's a good sign that they will win this game. It's a low-scoring game, maybe this would favor them.

Pringle by the way has 9 points so far, he is the 2nd leading scorer, next to Brownlee.

Good game by Brownlee and Pringle so far but the Bolts are not letting them go so I'm taking this risky bet now, Meralco Bolts +6.5 @1.85 as I think O'Bryant will gonna explode in the second half and make the game as close as possible or take the win.

Score is 49-41, Ginebra leading by 8 points.
Ginebra is taking care of the lead but it's not a big lead so there's still a chance for Meralco to take over the lead this can happen only if Ginebra failed to be consistent. It's good to see other players contributing as well with their best import, it looks like Brownlee can't take this game alone. Ginebra is still a team to beat, they are strong as a team and they should play as a team, I'm confident they can take this first win at the cost of Meralco there's no other way for them but to win.
Meralco had a strong start in the 3rd quarter but Ginebra finish it strong.

We are now in the 4th quarter and Ginebra is having a double-digit lead already.
We know how good Ginebra is in the 4th quarter, once they have a good run, they will not let their opponent catch up and most of the time the game will end in a big margin win.

So @Yamifoud, looks like you have a big win tonight.

Congratulations guys, Ginebra won the game and covered the spread.

The final score is 91-99.

The top scorer for Ginebra is Justin Brownlee with 34 points, a major bounce back from his performance in their previous game.
Nice game, Ginebra has a good shot at winning the championship, big thanks that Pringle is also back plus they have Malonzo.
2646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 02, 2022, 11:49:39 AM
Here we go, we will not see the last game of the day.

Ginebra vs Ginebra, both teams lose in their previous matches, but I'm seeing here that Ginebra is going to bounce back strong, so I'm backing them to win. Right now, they are -3.5 to win, and since it's Sunday, I hope the crowd will be able to help them.

Brownlee vs O'bryant, it's a great matchup, A bigger O'bryant vs Brownlee, but for sure Brownlee will not back down. It's nice seeing this competitive teams playing against each other. Ginebra had a good lead early but Meralco is catching up I think it's going to be a close game.

Anyway, good luck on your bet, that's doable.

I'm watching the game now, it's very entertaining and I'm liking it because Ginebra is still ahead. I know it's going to be a close game but all I like is for Ginebra to win by at least 4 points. Grin....

Waiting also in live, if Ginebra will be down by many points, I might take the ML as long as it's 3.00 and above.

2647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 01, 2022, 06:14:00 PM
I would not risk at that kind of odds, I'd rather look for an odds of 1.50 over 1.03 even if there's a huge chance it will win, one of the reasons is that upsets do happen in any sports, especially in boxing. Well, just let us know the odds for Inoue winning by KO in less than 6 rounds, I think that would be more interesting.

Yes, we should wait for more betting options while the fight is approaching. For now, we only have limited options. I'm expecting the odds for Naoya Inoue winning by Knockout in less than 6 rounds is still low knowing Inoue is really good at that and has a good Knockout rate in early rounds.

High odds will be expected at Inoue winning by Decision or KO at late rounds which in reality, it's hard to bet on that options.

However, that's the challenge in betting. No way bookies will give an easy pick with a high odds in the first place.

Yeah, it's very challenging on our part because bookies are so smart, we thought it was easy to win but in reality we gamblers are losing more than we win. In this fight, we know Inoue will win, but the question is, what round ranges he would be able to stop Butler.

maybe the odds for Inoue winning via decision is very much attractive, so we can wait on the odds to be available.

Yes, there's no way that the bookies will give such listing that is favorable to us bettors especially in this fight that is almost clear enough to say that Inoue is the one who will win and be named as the undisputed boxer in bantamweight division. Aside from the challenge to guess what round range will Inoue stop Butler, there's also a chance that Butler might survive a full 12-round fight. Not because he can keep up with the monster but because he chose the safe way to finish the fight.
2648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i get banned for Card Counting in online casinos? on: October 01, 2022, 05:28:25 PM
Card counting is not illegal, but in real life casinos people get kicked from casinos for this action, and casinos really hate people using this methods because it gives some advantage to the users.

If you don't know how card counting works you can read this explanation from fiulpro:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5273810.0

Or you can watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjfLuM-Pqr8

Here the question is, have you ever seen a user getting banned from an online casino for card counting?

To be clear, card counting isn't a method to always win, it's just a method to have better odds.
There is little doubt in my mind that something like this could happen to you, assuming that the casino in which you are playing does not shuffle after every round, something that I have seen even with a live dealer at many online casinos, and if that is the case eventually you are going to get banned.

And this is something that is very easy to identify, because most dealers know how to use card counting as well so if they notice that you begin to bet more money when you have the count in your favor then they are going to report your account.

Either way, you will still likely end up getting kicked out or worse get banned from entering that establishment again. Card counting is not illegal, of course, but the casino cannot let you have your chance again because you're already a threat to their daily income and we know that casino isn't built for the client's advantage. So chances are high that you will be eliminated, expect that if you start doing the said method.

My personal take with Davis and Garcia's childish scene. They are trying to engage their fans and let them ask for the fight to happen. I mean, they can provoke promoters to bring the contract on both sides. My opinion though. Moving back to this upcoming fight, trash talks might be used to attract possible viewers aside from those fans who surely will buy the ticket.

That might be the case why Garcia and Davis have been so foolish and exchanging some words in social media, they are trying to make some hype but people know that the current Ryan Garcia cannot defeat the current Gervonta Davis. It might be best for Garcia to facilitate Shakur first in the latter's debut in lightweight because his recent opponents aren't that strong enough to consider that he is indeed ready to fight Gervonta Davis.

I do agree, both of this boxers should be mature enough and not to go to social media and be that tell it all attitude. But who can blame Garcia, I do remember someone mentioned him as social media champ.

And now that we have a new boxer in the horizon, which is Shakur so definitely this will be fun for the next coming years. The hype is already there, it's the promoters and their network that can be the stumbling block.

As usual, that's typical Ryan Garcia and he's been so noisy in the social media lately while trying to bait Tank Davis to have a fight with him, Garcia should be careful this time because he might get what he asked for and Tank Davis might give him his first defeat. Garcia might be depressed again and his mental problems will get worse.

I agree, the lightweight division is quite stacked with potential great boxers and it's an advantageous to our side because we will see great fights in the years and months to come.

Do you manage to consistently earn from trading, do you have a stable income every month? If yes, then you are in that small percentage of people who succeed in trading. Personally, bitcoin has not changed my life much, I continue to do what I did before I met him, but I continue to buy bitcoin and I hope that in the future it will change my life for the better.
yes I managed to get a consistent income from the trades that I did. I even have a private group to just chat and share analytical techniques about bitcoin and other altcoins. Bitcoin will surprise you if you are consistent to keep buying bitcoin. You just need to wait and be patient. If your target is still not achieved it's not a problem, just a matter of time. and remember that before bitcoin as it is today, many underestimated bitcoin and considered it just digital trash. but now bitcoin is more gold than real gold. Do what you love and accumulate your bitcoins.
Some do even think that it is really too late on engaging on it without even trying to realize that it is really never been too late to accumulate considering the price potential which might reached up in the future then

this is where people do really get interested in but of course we shouldnt really forget the risk involved since nothing could really be that assured when it comes to future aspect.
Bitcoin had done something in my life which it did really changed up the way in my finances.

It might not completely changed up my lifestyle but at least im earning which is more than the amount that i could use on or spent which basically you could really
have more savings if you are really just too wise on it.

Yes, investing in bitcoin and other coins in the market is totally risky but bitcoin already proved to us many times too that its risk is worth it because the result that we will reap soon is worth the effort and it's not yet too late to invest in bitcoin, just like it's always a perfect time to buy especially now that bitcoin can be bought at a discounted price.

Bitcoin is still not finished showing its potential and it's not yet finished helping peoples lives as well. Personally, bitcoin has been a great help for me, not just financially, it broaden and opened my eyes to the reality that I didn't know before.

.....

Any news on Jordan Clarkson though? I thought he is on the trading block after the Jazzz let go of Mitchell and they are rebuilding from ground up.
I only read about the interest from the Bucks and the potential return to the Lakers but I really have no idea to be honest. Maybe the Jazz will just offer him an extension so they could still have someone that will help them to compete and not plunge to the bottom of the table.

I think the Lakers are pretty full at the PG position and seem to be sticking with Westbrook. I was under the impression that Clarkson would have been the piece in any deal to get the Lakers picks and take Russ’ contract. Russell said today that he wants to go for the MVP this year, so maybe he’s feeling better this year… I’m not so sure MVP is in the cards for him ever again.

Yes, but I guess the Jazz is not interested on Russ contract. Hopefully Clarkson remain as a Jazz, but as I have said, the rebuilding process has started and so those Jazz players will have to go including Conley, in which there is also noise that Lakers is interested until they got Pat and then Dennis, and Bognadovic. Hopefully it will be a win win for those remaining Jazz players.

Why would they get Westbrook? Cheesy Just like you said, they are on a rebuilding process and surely they wouldn't get a veteran player who is not on his prime years anymore. It's much better for the Jazz if they bet on the younger ones rather than the veterans, and if they get some veterans, that should be reliable enough to lead the team. Rumors are saying that Jordan Clarkson might receive an extension rather than a trade.
2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 30, 2022, 04:57:53 PM
Something that Canelo didn't expect when they met inside the ring, simple jabs then  protect his face and body, not allowing Canelo to break his defense.

Canelo is too confident that he thinks he can outclass Bivol in their match. Since he is an undisputed champion, he is confident that he can easily defeat Bivol in their match. Bivol is also a heavy underdog and their odds are really a gap.

But Bivol just does his usual boxing style. He didn't even use special techniques or what.

I guess we can also say that Canelo might have underestimate Bivol too because he thought that he could crack another title in the light-heavyweight as he successfully did the same thing 2 years ago against Sergey Kovalev. Seriously, they need to consider that Bivol was a natural in that said division while Canelo needed an extra weight to meet the required weight, that also means that he will get slower while giving an advantage to Bivol. And now, there's a rumor that Canelo will face Ilunga Makabu in cruiserweight. That's a suicide!

2654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 29, 2022, 10:11:53 PM

I agree! It was evident that Kambosos was indeed having a hard time against Haney and even his punches won't get through because the latter has a good tight defense. We are not underestimating Kambosos here but when he is sharing a ring with Haney, the latter makes him looks like an amateur boxing who don't know what to do, that's how good Haney is. He might be boring to watch but we cannot really argue that his style is good.

That's the sad truth, maybe we think that Kambasos will make an adjustment but for sure Haney will also make an adjustment and he will be ready with Haney's game plan. This is one of the rematch fights that fans think the outcome will be the same on the first fight.

That is for sure, Kambosos may train all he want and come prepared this time but the fact is Haney is also doing the same thing or much better than what Kambosos is doing. It's not like Haney will just sit and wait for Kambosos, of course Haney's camp will also improve what they did in their first encounter. That said, I'm still inclined that there's not much difference in this rematch, Haney will still be the undisputed champion at the end of the day and the one who will face Loma next.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 29, 2022, 09:36:21 PM

I don't think that bookies have inside information on the fight, they may have listed it based on the articles that is coming out and that is the date of Nov 19.

And we have to search for the latest article, still goes down to the fight being agreed in terms. But nowhere we see that they have sign the contract already. So in short, the fight is still far from being made and the only thing we do is wait and as you have said, be positive.

I can't believe that we have 40 pages and yet we are not 100% sure that the fight is going to happen, we are left speculating by all the parties involved in this fight, and I wonder what's going on in the minds of both fighters are they concentrating on the fight now, are they training hard even if there is no contract signed, this is the first time I read that there is a fight going to happen even though there is no contract signed, and we are a few days before October its only two months before their supposed date of the fight.

I reckon this discussion was created weeks after Spence defeated Ugas by a TKO and said that he's going to take Crawford's belt next, although Spence didn't disclose nor gave a hint on when will he take on Crawford next, he just said that he'll fight but that could mean a year from now Grin It's just people and fans, including us, are already excited and called for a fight for an undisputed. In other words, it's safe to assume that Spence will take some months to rest first before he will have an discussion with Crawford's camp and I really think that's what happened because the fight took long enough before they reached a deal (still verbally as of this day).

Best guess is that both camps are already training because their forecasted date is approaching fast, they only have less than 2 months left to prepare and train. Maybe that's the same reason why they are so silent these days after we received an information that they've already reached a deal.

Kaya exit sila last 1st round ng playoff last season.

I have read news that the Celtics players were caught off guard about Ime Udoka's case. Majority of them found the news in twitter like Jayson Tatum and so they are confused.

And then they are talking about how excited they are to come back this new season to do it all over again and duplicate what they have accomplished - go to the finals. But it seems that the players are affected by it and they are taking about the 'process', as they will be coach by Joe Mazzulla.
Losing one player in a team especially if that player contributed so much last season is a big loss.
Losing a coach who helped you reach the NBA Finals in his first year is much more.

Udoka's absence will be felt that's for sure. Mazzulla's way of coaching them will be different. When they already find a perfect coach for the team then sh*t happened. In the media day, you can see them really confused and kinda sad because of what happened. With this loss, I don't know if they will still be the top picks in winning the title. We don't know how Coach Mazzulla coach a team but let's give him also a chance. Maybe, just maybe he can do well or perhaps better than Coach Udoka.

Nobody expected it and even the franchise didn't see the coming but they don't have any choice because a rule is a rule, Ime Udoka is not exempted even if they really need him. It's Ime Udoka's fault because he didn't weigh things correctly and became selfish, anyway, I can already imagine the heavy burden that has been passed to the new coach. The management is giving him a high standard after what the team accomplished last season.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 28, 2022, 08:20:39 AM

Back to this fight, it looks like Haney will still win again as his chances to win again have increased this time that's why he is confident to fight Kambosos again in his place. That said, the chance of trilogy is quite low, so I think we will see Haney vs Loma next.

Maybe yes or we never know what will be the fighting chance of Kambosos as he's the one who needs to adjust and make a big come back if he wanted to reclaim the belt. I'm not sure about the bookies reference in terms of placing the underdog and the favorite but maybe it's more on the title holder and for Kambosos fans they might get better odd on this fight.

Of course, Haney's win is not guaranteed yet but based on what we saw and their abilities, we can somehow speculate that Haney still have the higher hand this time. We don't know yet what will Kambosos do this time, but I know they have some plan because they wouldn't activate the rematch clause in just mere months after the fight if they didn't figure out something.
As for the betting side, Haney might be the favorite too but I think his odds compared to the underdog is not that far.

The odds for Haney is high to win in this rematch, we have seen the Kambosos struggles against a fighter that has good defense. He can't even land a good punch on Haney in their first fight, what makes it different in the second? If he will adjust in the rematch, so is Haney. And being one of the best ring IQ, Haney can play chess match and anticipate George next move in this second fight.

So most likely, the outcome will be the same, all judges awarding Haney the scores and Haney will opt to move up and not face Lomachenko. Or if he wanted the experience then fight him next year.

2659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 28, 2022, 07:49:54 AM
Well, it's not new anymore that people wanted some spices before the actual fight to somehow make the fight more interesting. I know Zurdo is one of a kind but he needs to prove himself first against Bivol before starts boasting and saying lines like that.

If that is what he believes, then we just have to let it that way. Zurdo might be boasting but actually, he won't have the guts to say things like that if he's not sure about it. Might be because of his perfect record, he thinks achieving it is really difficult although he's correct on that regardless of the level of popularity of those he fought before.

Against Bivol, this might be the biggest fight of his career that's why he is pumped up. Let's wait if his talks is not just about talk.

Well, if Bivol hasn't fought Canelo earlier then this will be a normal fight for Zurdo. Golden Boy Promotions would be the sole promoter and there is a possibility that they will rob Bivol of a victory if there are rounds that are a little close.

Back to reality, I hope both fighters are in their best condition. I love the neutral venue which is beneficial to the defending champion. I know Bivol is in love with boxing technique but I would love to see knockdowns and knockouts.
I think he will try to go for a knockout here, but i guess Ramirez being the bigger fighter, Bivol might have a difficulty achieving it. In any case, we have seen that he can bang and the uses his technical skills, just like what he did against Canelo.

So if he dominates Ramirez, then I guess it will be the same as win though and then fans are going to pumped again because he will be having a rematch with another Mexican.

Yes, Bivol is already used to beat boxers who are taller than him and he already proved that he can outboxed them using his speed and IQ inside the ring, but I'm also thinking that we might underestimating Ramirez that much because seeing his few fights, I can also tell that Ramirez is not an easy opponent to defeat which explains why he got a pretty record and also undefeated just like Bivol.

I also believe that Bud Crawford have the higher hand in this fight, the man is fearless and could break mountains if he has to. While Spence here is clearly trying to drag the schedule because he knows that Crawford won't be the same as time goes by.

I don't think Spence is avoiding Crawford to expect that the latter won't be the same as time goes by.

While Crawford is catching age, the same for Spence too. Bud is 34 years old while The Truth is 32 years old. I don't think there's a big difference in their strength or having a huge gap in their skills with that 2 years difference in their age.

While Bud is building a legacy, Spence is a businessman. He wants to make sure that he will get the most share of every fight. If he fight Crawford before, he might end up taking the small share of the purse split that's why he established his career first and build his reputation to become the PPV King.

It's probably not about the age gap because it's not that too far, it's not like GGG vs Canelo, and Pacman vs Ugas. There's a big reason why this fight is still not announced until now, the number 1 reason is probably the split of the money, and I have a feeling hyping this fight would not help anymore in order to make it happen.

Age is not a factor yet in this fight, even a 34 years old is still young and can give a lot of hardships to its foe mainly if his name is Terence Crawford.

I still didn't get why the fight is still not established yet because they already announced that they already had a verbal agreement but it's been a week already since that information surfaced. Why is it taking so long to get that final announcement in this undisputed fight? Although I believe they are already past the point where they are still argue about the purse split.
