I also really love that POS (10% per day for one week), a good idea. But the point is, that this is done to hide the 5% premine and call it only 0.5%. The dev holds 33% of all coins at the moment! I was invested in this coin since launch, i have mined it with over 80MH and I have bought a lot of coins at bittrex. After I have read about the premine, I decided to dump all coins with a little plus and invested all in whitecoins and cinnicoins. Maybe somebody is releasing a new coin without premine and with this nice PoS of 10% daily for a few days, then I'm all in  I wish you all the best with this premined-scam-coin Banger In day 7 dev will get 1%-2% coins left after giveaways bounties... that 30% will disapear in 6days... realy not big deal now it will scary pumpers haha |

Seems like you are a newbie. That's fine you will learn more with time. You have to see CoinMarketCap. 20.000 satoshis would mean that WC reaches #5 in CoinMarket Cap surpassing coins like NXT, Master Coin, Name Coin and even BlackCoin. Easily? Don't think so. Other people talking about 100.000 satoshis making it comparable to Litecoin. Please do the maths first. I think 20k is doable but not now, maybe in a year if the momentum keeps going (and obviously price of BC would go as high as 0.01 BTC or more). I do not agree with your opinion because the price depends on the popularity of so at whitecoin not as popular as in blackcoin but this is only time will tell who was right Price depend on supply / demand. ^^... |

Its unfortunate that the pre-mine has ruined this coin, I liked the PoS concept, this coin should be cloned and relaunched w/o premine....

Why all buy orders are gone?
Investors probably got spooked by the pump announcement. You know - tone at the top says much about any company. Investors might see "management" as supporting pump and dumps. Investors don't like that. Lets hope this thing blows over and let the previous good work carry on. Management didn't support the pump at all, they shut it down. We must not forget Iconic isn't a dev or anything, he's just trying to being helpful in BC there is democracy you wont never prevent someone of doing something. Some people like p&d, some like long range investing like me. I check frequently market and there is many other coins trying copy BC success. We should focus and keep BC going forward not bullshit about + - 10%. price. |

1% for inflation + 1.005% to pay the stakers for securing the network = 2.005% inflation per year. You are relying on >2.005% being lost every year for BC to be deflationary.
When you make a transfer of BC, you pay a fee? If so, where do the fees go? Some coins destroy them, some use to reward stakers. I'm not sure what BC does atm.
It's not 1% inflation + 1.005% to pay the stakers. They are not separate entities, but are one and the same. The 1% inflation is derived from the 1% interest earned as and when wallets are opened. As for 'where do the transfer fees go', good question, I forgot to look into that ... I think I have it. On the last page you said: "No, you will earn your 1% regardless of whether or not you have your wallet open for the full year. You will receive the interest once you re-open your wallet. The advantage of having your wallet open all the time is that you help secure the network, and also earn compound interest on your 1%."So you are saying you get 1% if you open your wallet just once per year but if you leave it open, you get compound interest on the same 1% (which we calcualted above as being 1.005%). I think the 1% Inflation of 74m is reached if everybody would have wallets opened all Time. So 100% of the coins are staking. The BlackCoin community are once again about to make history!!! Never in the history of crypto has a community rallied together to pump the price of a currency in an attempt to break the control of unscrupulous whales!!! A global pump with hundreds of people working in unison will be nothing less than epic!!! We will become the "Black Whale".
On Friday 4/25/2013 - 8 PM EST - NYC Time we will begin buying massive quantities of BlackCoin to stop the blatant manipulation of some holders who are purposely suppressing the growth of BlackCoin. This community will pump over 300 BTC into the BlackCoin ecosystem to consume the low priced sell walls.
We as a community will have to pledge to each other to follow some basic guidelines.

I want to make it clear that I do advocate adding value to BC and natural growth. But it is clear that BC price is being manipulated to remain at lower levels. We can do nothing and hope eventually we can break the suppression, or we can be proactive and buy up the artificially low sell walls. Whether you agree with the idea or not, if everyone joined in it will work. If appropriate measures are taken we can minimize the sell off that will be sure to follow. The goal here is to establish a floor high enough the makes it too expensive to keep playing these silly games. I would like to remind everyone that a few people vowed to destroy BC and it seems they are trying to keep their promise.

You cant directly mine WC in PoS phase. You can only then do it indirectly by mining other coins and exchanging those for BTC and then buy WC. This creates buy pressure. In that sense multipool is good for BC in PoS. One more time to get my point: Multipool - 5Ghs - 0.005 BTC/MHS - 5BTC produced daily Miners will dump in 25% of all coin in next mine wave. About minig waves: I consider 2x price jump wave. 1st wave MP-5 GHS - Produce 5 BTC Buy power Price 1000sat volume 500 BTC // Moltipool daily price impact ~1% 2bd wave MP-5 Ghs - Produce 5 BTC Buy power Price 2000sat volume 1000 BTC // Mooltipool daily price impact ~0.5%(but will be less in real) WORST event here is cashing out old miners old miner sell 25% of old coins but now they have higher price so in reality they sell 50% of it. And new miners are have now about 50% of old buying power.2.5 BTC goes to old wave miners and 2.5 BTC goes stright as fresh pump BTC to market. But effective daily price impact fall to 0.25% compared to volume. Even Volume will fall from 1000BTC to 100BTC in 2nd wave it will be only 2.5% daily price impact. This is just math. IMO..... This pre planes pump is the first mistake that black coin has made. I hate the ups and downs and manipulation like everyone else but for theoat part this coin has fallen higher after each dump. This coin needs to keep developing and getting the adaptation as a currency. I think we need to worry about things we can control instead of focusing on the minute to minute price. Trust me I hate it to but don't you think the manpulaters read this as well?? This see that there winning and getting into people's heads and are not going to stop. If this coin is what we think it can be then it will be by the hard work these guys are putting in. Did the manipulation say 3-4 weeks ago matter now?? NO why?? Compare prices!! So IMO just keep developing and making a great coin and a great community and stop focusing on people playing with your emotions.
I think the same, free money for daytraders. They will buy for 40-45k (and we buy - pump phase) and when we reach lets say 60-70k sat they will insta dump. 50% profit, price go down to ~50-55k and ppl who bought at 55-60/70k losses (and those ppl should be rewarded not punished). Plz reconsider. Hype maker is crucial in crypto this is like light from sun for people. This is more like promotion event ^^ |
