Are you paying interest back on the loan? And if so, how much? I'd be interested in doing the loan. Also I'd only need a few COG.F2 shares as collateral, not the whole amount ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Scratch that, forgot that BTC-TC was shut down. I'd take a partial stake in the group buy as collateral if the owner of the group buy allowed it, let me know.

DO NOT PRE-ORDER!!!! At least until phin shows a pic that he has bought a beard net that complies with health codes. I have already contacted his local health department to make sure that he complies. They told me that someone named Josh had been calling them to inspect this operation on a daily basis and they were all over it.
Can I specially request a micro pizza in which you don't wear a beard net Phin? I'm pretty fascinated by genetics and cloning, and I've got some interesting machinery at my disposal which could lead to some interesting discoveries.

Well aside from the precious metal content, some of these are very sought after by collectors.
Heh, true. I was directly responding to the question, "Who wants gold and silver given their downward sloping graphs?" But very true, the majority of the pieces that I offer for sale are influenced by the collectors market.

Who wants gold and silver given their downward sloping graphs?
Gold and Silver, even when down are still wildly popular investments. They are one of the only fairly well guarenteed investments. While Precious metals may not have the dramatic shifts up and down like Bitcoin has, If you buy gold or silver, it is almost guarenteed that your investment will at the very least keep up with inflation. So when the US Dollar is junk, Bitcoins are dead (A very real possibility) and you are holding Silver and Gold, you wont be totally screwed like if you were holding solely USD or Bitcoin. Fiat, the US Dollar in particular has been on a downtrend for the last 80 years. Bitcoin has had a rediculous growth in the last 5 years, but it really hasn't been a thing long enough for people to know in what direction its going. And Gold and Silver have been a fairly stable form of currency or investment for over 3,000 years. Why not diversify?

Will consider a video in the near future.
You know, if you uploaded a video of yourself playing your guitar, assuming you are good, which I hope you are since you will need to be for your concert, people would probably just send tips to you, which could add up to be a sizeable amount. Then, not only would you have BTC, but you wouldn't have to pay it back. That, and I'm curious to see if you are actually a good guitar player, or if you just hallucinate yourself playing ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Collateral is the only protection you can get, and sometimes even that isn't good enough. NEVER accept ID or personal info as collateral. You want something you can sell for BTC right after they default. Always think of a loan as a sale, if you wouldn't buy their collateral from them, don't take it as collateral.

People don't seem to understand, that the Admins of this site don't necessarily find BFL to be a scam company... This has been debated over and over. While you think BFL is a scam, those that were lucky enough to get their BFL products early, and made a ton of coin may feel differently. Its pretty obvious that BFL is horribly run, and they are incompetent when it comes to meeting deadlines, however had they been a flat out, black and white scam case, they would have shipped nothing at all, and ran off with their customer's money after 6 months of missed deadlines when everyone had already cut their losses and figured it was a scam.
I don't know how I personally feel about BFL, its really a gray area. I think they have mistreated their customers, but at the same time, its impossible to say that they are a complete scam because they have shipped product. While they have missed deadline after deadline, there was never anything in their terms that said, YOU WILL MAKE A ROI. If it was a guarenteed thing, they wouldn't be selling hardware in the first place, and just mining with it. It should have been their first priority to help their customers as much as possible, which they obviously have not done, however that just makes them guilty of bad business practice, not being a scam.
The argument that people have that Theymos is being corrupted by BFL's advertising money is incredibly stupid. First off, there was a month stretch where BFL purchased no advertising. Second, I did the calculation before, had BFL not been involved in the auction process, the Auctions would have yielded an average of .19 BTC less per week. And third, Theymos does not get the advertising money... While the staff does get paid about 15% of the advertising revenue per month, that .19 BTC X 4 Weeks = .76 BTC. Split between 40 staff members, do you really think Theymos or any of the staff would really be corrupted by .02 BTC? I mean, suuuuure if BFL wanted to pay an additional 100 BTC to the staff to talk nicely about their product, there would be an argument there, however I really realllllly highly doubt that Theymos or the rest of the staff would sell out for an additional .02 BTC.

Also, my sister has been driving me crazy trying to figure out what other things to offer for Bitcoins, so if you have an idea for a desert or snack that you would like to purchase for Bitcoins, and think that it would hold up fairly well being shipped, let her know. I make suggestions based on the general Bitcoin demographic, and with that, she came up with dorrito and mountain dew casserole.
Not sure the feasibility of that one.

can some mod move this to the Chinese subforum please? We don't need Chinese garbage in here ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) The general rule for all local boards is that they are to be english only except in the cases for the different country local boards. However, I make an exception to that somewhat. I allow people to post in different languages, generally in response to an OP if they speak that language as well. For example, I'm assuming r3wt speaks chinese, so I'd allow someone to respond to his post in chinese. This situation is a little bit backwards of the normal situation, so I will probably move it to the chinese board.

How foolish are we all going to feel in a few years when we find out that Satoshi actually was an alien, and Bitcoin was just a ploy to create an intergalactic monetary system, of which he could fuel his planet's dying economy by siphoning off of earthlings inferior technology. On Satoshi's planet, asics cost 1 BTC/THash.
The sad part is, this is by far not the far fetched theory I've seen.

Bewareofduck is my sister, and I will vouch that they aren't poisoned or anything, they are actually quite good, I'd highly reccomend them for the holiday season, or anytime you want a munchy. Shes also very trustworthy, if you have any problem let me know, and I'll upload embarrasing photos immediately ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) The Almonds are slightly salty, and have more of a warm tingle than a spicy kick. They are sweet, without being candy sweet. I can easily eat a few pounds of them without getting sick, so show no restraint!

I'm confused, didn't he ask for 250 BTC in donations which he asked of people to help him take care of real life bills while he was developing Solidcoins? I remember it was a fairly large laugh, because at the time, Realsolid was trying to convince people that solidcoins were better than bitcoins, but yet he was asking for donations in bitcoins. But he never said he was going to pay back the 250 BTC I didn't think? It wasn't a loan, it was a donation request. If I remember correctly of course.

There was an Anti NSA rally in D.C today, did anyone else make it? Twas pretty neat, I actually saw a guy with a sign on him that said "I sell Bitcoins" but he was pretty far ahead of me in the march so I didn't get a chance to talk to him. I found it sort of odd, that the general demographic was older people, the median age being 40-50. There was actually an elderly woman, maybe in her 80s in a wheel chair with a Tor Project shirt on.
There were a few congress persons speaking out, and the neatest thing to take away, was that there was an ammendment to repeal the Patriot Act a few months ago, which only lost by 7 votes. A similar try is going back through, but it seems as though it has more supporters this time, including the man who wrote the Patriot Act and gathered support for it in the first place. So it seems there might be a chance of things getting better (I hope).
