2681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggest the best strategy on: November 02, 2020, 01:48:40 PM
I'd probably just pick teams with good records and likelyhood to win in their matches and bet on them. But I'd have to consider/analyze their opponents well, especially their past records to determine whether to really bet on the teams with the likelihood to win. I think I would spend more time (could be days/weeks ) analyzing the teams before determining whether to really bet on my favorite, with reasonable amount of money.
I'm not too familiar with certain terms in betting world, like "high/low odd". Will probably read about the term well to understand it properly before commenting on it.
2682  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it moral to get paid as teacher even though your student don't understand what you teach? on: November 02, 2020, 08:48:13 AM
I think it's totally immoral to get paid for not doing your job well or solving problems. The problem in this regard is to help your students/listeners properly understand what you are teaching them. If they don't properly understand what you teach them, it means you are not solving any problem (or not solving the problem well enough), and you are getting paid for not solving the problems or doing your job well. This is actually immoral and can be considered theft/cheating, especially if you are doing it intentionally.

How can teachers know they are doing their jobs well or solving problems?
I believe one of the ways to know this is by regularly testing or asking students questions to make sure they correctly understand what is being taught. Those who aren't understanding what is being taught should be understood individually, and probably taught specially. They may be unique people who need to be taught in different/unique ways, or ways that are different from how the rest of the class are taught. It doesn't necessarily mean the students are dumb or unintelligent.
It's also very important to make sure your students easily know and understand every bit of what they are taught (especially in a way that is not boring to them). You don't assume they know them already or can easily understand them.
And always make sure your students inability to learn properly are not due to spiritual issues, poor nutrition, illness, health issues, emotional problems, etc. These problems should be well treated before you continue teaching the affected students.

I probably forgot this very important one:

Make sure what you are teaching isn't false or doesn't make sense to them (your students/listeners/readers). Make sure they are correct and make sense. If you teach truth in a way that is clear, people of different personalities, tribes, cultures, religions etc would be able to understand easily.
 Truth is never complicated!

2684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $100 USD vs $10,000 USD Trading Capital on: October 30, 2020, 06:08:40 PM
Well, I think it's best to learn trading without risking any money or too much money... You could start trading with "big" amount when you become good at trading.  If you wish to trade or learn with money without skills/experience, then start with amount you can afford to lose/risk. I think you can gain experience this way if you are serious about trading.
I guess there are really wealthy people who can afford to risk "learning" with $10,000 as newbie to gain experience. There are people who can't afford to risk $100 in trading without the required skills/experience. Better to start with what you can afford to risk/lose and then gradually increase your fund as you become consistently profitable in your trades
2685  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe magic real? on: October 30, 2020, 05:17:10 PM
What do you think about magic ? Huh every time we enjoy it, but some people believe in magic and some people don't.

Magic real or fake ?
Tell us about your own consciousness,
Thats why it is called magic because it is not true,Because if does then it must be called Reality lol.

But it's true that Magic is amazing and only few has the skill that can managed this to be truly looking very true in the eye of the children and even adults.

Those magic we saw in movies are not true.

But I heard there is black magic in Africa and some part in India... I don't know if it's true.
Well there are also black magic in all parts of the world, some called witch that can hurt others without touching them physically .

And yeah it can be true or not since we did not experienced those at all.

Witchcraft is real but it's not what the movie industries make it to be.
It's simply an act of spying/monitoring, altering and controlling people mind for evil gains. They do this with evil spirits, internet, tech, human,, animals etc. Billions of people are under such mind control and are/were brainwashed through movies, songs, internet, books, news, games, etc. Almost everyone is affected unless you are delivered from the brainwashed mind and don't go back to consuming information that are designed to brainwash and mind control people.
They actually cage billion of people through mind control. And can easily get many of them do what they want.

Quote
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_lie
This ^ is part of what witchcraft do to brainwash and control. You won't believe how much lies  billions of people believe. It is heart breaking when you realize that almost every single person on earth is living a lie. They are caged and controlled by lies.

2686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The world after the last bitcoin is mined on: October 30, 2020, 03:53:02 PM
What makes Bitcoin/crypto unique is its decentralization and features. If you centralized it and ruin its features, people will still be forced to create a decentralized crypto when they suffer the consequences of centralization... creating a well decentralized cryptocurrency will become necessary and important again.
People need to always remind themselves why Bitcoin was invented in the first place. They must not go to sleep and let it  be captured.
There should be set boundaries that must not be crossed to keep it well decentralized as long as possible.
2687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Non custodial and custodial on: October 30, 2020, 10:41:07 AM
In simple terms,

Non-custodial means you fully control your wallet and funds. Your private keys and seed phrases that allows you to access the wallet are in your care.
Custodial means the wallet provider has the private keys or seed phrase. That also means they can lock you out of "your" funds at any time.

If you don't have a wallet yet, you should look for non-custodial and preferably open source like Electrum. Most recommended are hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger. Check this guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0
I would add that not running a full node means you don't fully control your fund. You will still be depending on people with full nodes to use your coins.
Full node gives people better/full control over their funds. You benefit from other important features of Bitcoin like censorship resistant, privacy/anonymity,  secure transactions, etc
2688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 09:13:09 AM
Hope the voters understand what they are voting for.
Many likely voted for this because they see their bets as gambling, even if they are not and this could make certain investors think people here are willing to gamble(or take big risk with their bitcoins) and they will have a rethink.

Bet but don't gamble. Bet responsibly. Your coins should be put into good use instead of gambling with them.

In regards to fee, you think if price goes up that high, fee will be so high and unaffordable to prevent people from transacting with Bitcoin?

Create a new poker room based on blockchain without rake and annonymous
Could you explain that^ better? You mean "without rake and anonymity"  OR  "without rake and is anonymous"
I wonder if that is just a typo.

The idea is to create a collaborative rng, and every user contributing will be rewarded...

Will this be decentralized, or are you trying to make it decentralized?
I'm not really interested in poker but will probably help contribute ideas on making the platform safe and decentralized (assuming you want it decentralized). An only interested in contributing to Decentralized poker Platform and it has to be about responsible and safe poker games.

2690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question on soccer predictions on: October 30, 2020, 08:07:30 AM
I think I would consider that. This is one of the reasons it's important to go through most/all of their games(including trainings) to see how well they are doing individually and as team, and whether they are improving or not after their games. This should give you an idea of how positively/negatively they have been affected by their recent matches
Sufficient information on their past/recent performances couls actually increase your chances of predicting their next matches right. It's going to be quite hard to source for such info though. You could have services that provide info for bettors. I wonder if such services already exist
2691  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe magic real? on: October 29, 2020, 05:08:30 PM
Don't be decieved by performances...
No human on earth can turn a Stick to Snake , a Stone to Bread, make things float,  disappear(de-materialize) and reappear etc. Only the CREATOR can do that. What you see the so called magician perform are secret art or tricks.
The movie industry excessively exaggerate the "super human abilities". No one can do them without GOD. And you'll have to be pleasing to HIM to be used to perform real miracles.
2692  Other / Archival / Re: I am developing and designing an exchange and looking for some suggestions! on: October 29, 2020, 04:13:06 PM
Is this a trading simulation... more like trading  without real money for just learning purposes? Is that what you mean by "Play Money"?
Asumming this is demo trading, you could maybe experiment with trading competition and auto rewards for users with points/tokens as they progress while learning how to trade
2693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale transfers $1 billion in bitcoin and pays $3.54 in fees? on: October 29, 2020, 03:23:21 PM
The fee is really low for such a huge transfer. I wonder how long it took for the transaction to confirm. In my opinion, more should have been charged as fee for such an amount if the network is really congested and if this was for fast transfer. .
2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to BTC if just a few whales will buy all left supply? on: October 29, 2020, 10:16:22 AM
If much of the supply is concentrated in few hands,  held especially by those that are connected or those that can be controlled/influence centrally to possibly maniplute the currency price, then you can't trust the price to be fair and to be influence only by real demand and supply.
One of the best solutions to this is to get majority of users fully control their coins, ensure that network currency isn't concentrated in few hands that can't be checked/balances by the network, and you could have internal mechanism controlled by Network members to regulate the supply to prevent external/internal manipulations by such whales or exchanges
2695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Toyota IT Division to Launch Own Digital Currency on: October 29, 2020, 09:40:48 AM
Quoted this from your link

Quote
The project will involve 2,500 employees of Toyota Systems. This is to develop a platform for digital currency payments for the benefits of its employees. Participating employees can trade the digital currency for benefits points or gifts listed in a catalog. But it cannot be exchanged with Japanese Yen.

the token that will be issued by toyota will act as a gift for its own employees and in this case, I think that coin can be exchanged with the goods like a voucher or something else. I think it will act as a reward for the performance of its employees. That means this chain will be a private blockchain but it's also being used to create a to be connected with the partners too.

I guess the 2,500 employees are used for testing the currency/platform. An article says it's in pilot/test stage.
Well, I don't see why companies should not make their currencies/tokens decentralized, transparent, immutable etc. These features would help increase the integrity of their platforms.
2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In-play or pre-match staking on: October 29, 2020, 08:58:11 AM
I did noticed predicting football is not easy, that is why betting company can not go bankrupted, people always stake and either gain or lose, but most people do lose. That is why we should only take betting for fun, and using only the funds that we can afford to lose to bet, and not also be addicted.
...

I would say don't get attached to your bets if you are betting based on luck or have no skill, experience or knowledge. The attachment is part of what causes the addiction. And the 'fun' is part of what get people attached or addicted. It wont be a good idea to get attached to something you are not consistently profitable in. The profits/benefits shouldn't be in prize money alone. They could also come inform of things like good knowledge and skills that's can be applied in real world or other areas of life.
When you bet, always have it in your mind that you may not be lucky... and don't bother yourself with the outcome of the bets. Bet what you can afford to lose/risk so you don't get bothered too much if you are not lucky.
2697  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ CORONABET.CO ⭐ bets on the covid-19 pandemic ACCEPT BTC/ETH/LTC on: October 29, 2020, 08:10:21 AM
This idea came to my mind too. However, according to the calculations I made, the house does not win this time. This is not a gamble since the numbers are not random.
So you mean that you can really predict how many people would be affected? Well I think you are right you can use statistics in order to predict the number of cases from the certain country however I don't think their concept is good to be played about or to placed bet on.

Ofcourse.
It's more like people betting on whether an economy will crash or not. The desperate ones could go ahead and crash an economy(or provoke a crash) to win their bet. If you crash the economy, many people will suffer. So this is clearly immoral if bettors gain from people suffering/misfortunes.

2698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports icons and Covid19 complications on: October 29, 2020, 07:57:41 AM
Sports and Covid19

In order to ensure the continuity of the spirit of good sportsmanship and to entertain fans of sports, various sporting activities ensured the resumption and opening of their sporting arena with a strict adherence to the Covid19 pandemic guidelines but it always seems not enough, considering the travelling aspect of most sports as a necessity. The new normal is also believed to have been a major influence to the outcomes of most team meetings....

I think that travelling might not even be the central issue with safety during the pandemic for sports. I think it's actually the training and the matches that involve close contacts of players with one another while breathing hard, so particles travel a lot and fast. And it's also organizational things like locker rooms, and team-building things like hugging and other physical contacts. Even though the audience is not allowed on the matches (or, as in my country, allowed in limited numbers), the risks for players are still high, as the Ukrainian football experience shows. Plus, of course, the self-isolation of contact people takes them off the field. So the events are suffering and changing a lot, and so do the bets.

There are number of factors that can help lessen the chance of players contacting or getting ill from the disease...the players mental state is one of them. I wonder if this is taken seriously by clubs. They need to be happy and feel loved by their fans while they do their best to entertain them. I guess the lack of spectators to cheer them physically could contribute to poor mental health.
They have to do what is right always for their own good. They need to eat healthy too.
2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Satoshi Nakamoto's PGP Key not currently on bitcoin.org ? on: October 28, 2020, 04:37:34 PM
the source code still contains the key[1] while the site seems to not have any link to make it accessible publicly.
maybe bitcoin.org needs a "historical" page that can include this key alongside other historical facts and clarify that this key was created 12 years ago and may not be safe anymore. although i don't think there is anything insecure about a 1024-bit DSA key.

[1] https://github.com/bitcoin-dot-org/bitcoin.org/blob/master/satoshinakamoto.asc (permanent)

Exactly.
Things of that nature is of historic value and should be kind of immutable and transparent.

Couple posters above made some interesting points why it's good to remove the keys... I think people should still be able to see the archive records of the changes though.

The very same PGP Key is also located on the Web Archive page for bitcoin.org :

Anybody who loves bitcoin should be thrilled to read the above archive page. The very first content that was put into http://bitcoin.org by satoshi.

Just read archived page. It's actually still really nice and solid.
2700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to invest in Polkadot? on: October 28, 2020, 03:42:55 PM
I don't know much about the project. Though I did some research on it few months ago but wasn't too pleased with the huge amount of coin/stake they required from network members to participate in their PoS. I wouldn't trust any cryptocurrency that make such big demands/requirements. It is a big risk and can easily lead to centralization.
I strongly believe that consensus on shared or decentralized network/system should be based on merit and not how much stake you have.
