2681  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeff Epstein DEAD Commits suicide on: August 24, 2019, 10:29:26 PM
It makes total sense, and seems very likely, that he would want to kill himself.

Any indications from Epstein in that direction AT ALL? Did he say he was feeling suicidal? If not, you cannot just up and assert "that he would want to kill himself."

However, note the title of this thread "Jeffrey Epstein DEAD commits suicide." Was Epstein a ZOMBIE? The only way would be a zombie committing suicide. Resulting in a zombie of a zombie.

Even worse, zombie(zombie(zombie)) may be expected. Recursive zombyism is the new threat, where the newest emergents eat the prior generation.

Notice today how the emergent LEADERS of democrats are much more weirder than their rank and file members? These leaders are clearly Gen 2 zombies, with the exception of AOC, who is clearly Gen 3.

Epstein. Really dead? Really? Anyone seen the body?

AOC-Aligned Climate Group Demands Media Silence ‘Climate Deniers’…

The Climate Mobilization, a group pushing for a World War II-scale national mobilization to fight global warming, condemned the media for pursuing “objectivity” by giving air time to “climate deniers.” Aligned with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), the organization wants the media to silence all voices opposing their climate alarmism.

“Some media outlets are sacrificing the future of our planet for the sake of appearing objective,” Margaret Klein Salamon, founder and executive director of The Climate Mobilization, said in a news release Saturday.

“This idea of equating climate deniers with scientific experts is a dangerous practice which frames the threat to our planet, our existence as an ongoing debate,” Klein Salamon added. “I don’t think sacrificing the future of our planet in exchange for a look of ‘objectivity’ is an even exchange. It’s one the coming generation will judge us on, if we don’t move with the urgency necessary to fight back against global warming and win.”

2684  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Treasury Blacklists Bitcoin, Litecoin Addresses of Chinese ‘Drug Kingpins’ on: August 24, 2019, 10:18:27 PM
I think they will soon start blacklisting BTC addresses of sanctioned countries also.
It is very hard with all the bitcoin mixers and everything though.
What do you guys think? Will they be able to blacklist let's say North Korea or Iran?

Here is the link for the news from the title:
https://www.coindesk.com/us-treasury-blacklists-bitcoin-litecoin-addresses-of-chinese-drug-kingpins

It's odd, because the primary use for a fixed receiving address (I had through) would be public operations seeking donations, such as a politician or a charity.

Accepted best practice is to generate a new receive or send address for each transaction.

bonus for zombie....

I haven't always agreed with things that he said, and he's not currently a research scientist, more one whose job is explaining science to the public.

But he can run light years around your trash dribble.

By the way, lay off the stupid "bonus" please.

I can't afford to loose the bonus yet, because you're such a goofball.
Today is your lucky day - double bonus for you:

Wake up, "moonlanding" was a hoax...scam...fraud...fakery...

You are welcome to prove evidence and or proof of your claims.

By the way, it's against forum rules to post things without attribution.

Next time I'm reporting. You've been warned.

Yes, Americans landed on the moon, and others sent probes and other garbage...

Since apparently it's acceptable to use youtube as "Proof," I know that it's okay to use IMDB.com as "Proof," and therefore it's proved that the Moon is inhabited.

2686  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Democrats Have no Credible Candidate Yet on: August 24, 2019, 05:36:53 PM
I have watched all the Democratic Candidates with keen interest, trying to figure out if there is any serious contender who's capable of taking on Trump. Sadly, I have seen none. Not even close! All I see are confused set of crazy loons who doesn't even know what they are vying for. Some are so out of touch that they choose to go to Mexico to organize rallies.  Roll Eyes

Everyone of them focusing on Trump even though they haven't got close to winning their own party primary, let alone coming face to face with Trump.

Are we looking at the biggest Presidential election landslide in the history of America? Who do you think is capable of taking of Trump, it doesn't matter the party? Because it seems Trump conquers everything and anything that stands in his way.

I believe that there is a reason why they seem crazy.

Assume for a second that they are believing and operating from a perspective not American, but "world wide Socialist progressive."

That would be quite different than a perspective rooted in American towns, factories, schools, and people.

But then it all makes perfect sense, doesn't it?
2687  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: August 23, 2019, 10:00:31 PM
....

Yes, things are slowly changing for the better, and in 20 years we will look at these laws as we look at prohibition.

But another problem here is that all individual cases are up to the prosecutors mostly, so if for example Baltimore gets different prosecutor that has different view on that, things might get bad again, and go in opposite direction.
So much safer way is decriminalisation of cannabis.

That's not accurate.

Cannabis extract without THC or with minimal amounts has became a widely available product. Eg "CBD".

Various state laws have been enacted now that require prosecutors to show an illegal %age of THC. Turns out labs don't have equipment to do that. The prosecutors are not just acting on a whim but based on their costs in getting that equipment or outsourcing and paying for those tests.

Prosecuting DAs are part of a self-propagating system that included the courts, the prosecuting and defending attorneys, and all the hapless victims. This system seeks fat profits.  It's really all about the money not the law.

As for the way the law works, there is a federal law which become a "model statute" for the states. In the past if a state did not wish to adopt it or a harsher version of its own, the Fed would punish by withholding various funds.

Today that is not happening, a state is somewhat free to go against the federal MARIHUANA statutes, although not others.

I just watched a documentary on it and there are many photos that appear as fortresses, and smoke stack with some sort of smoke coming out of it, towers, bridges, pipes, and buildings and/or crashed space crafts.

You're welcome to post pictures of any artifact you like on the lunar surface. Please include the lunar lat-long coordinates. Then we can pull up the new ultra high resolution images of those areas and examine the alleged artifacts.
2689  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: August 21, 2019, 10:12:05 PM
^^^ Why do you want cannabis legalized?

Do you keep a comb in your pocket to comb your hair? Why would you want government to legalize the comb in your pocket? Get government out of it altogether.

Government doesn't have to legalize something to give you the right to use it. All they have to do is repeal the laws they made against it.

If they legalize it, then they can tax it. Why should you have to pay tax on your own cannabis that you grow in your bathroom window? Bernie wants to screw you, and he has tricked you into thinking that he is your friend.

Cool

I'm with you on the government thing, i'm not fan of them either and i think that taxation is theft. And don't let me get started on that fool Bernie Cheesy

But there is a different issue when it comes to cannabis, and it is there whether you think we should be able to grow our own cannabis or not, and that is amount of money that is spent on so called " war on drugs" that America is loosing all those years.Hundreds of billions of tax payers dollars were spent, with  not much results. And on top of that, people still go to jail because of cannabis possession.

In 2016 almost 600k people ended up in jail for cannabis possession, so whether you think it is your right to use something that is not legalized or not, you will get  screwed if you live in the  wrong state.Recreational use is legalized in 11 states so far, so unless you live there, you won't end up good  if they caught you possessing.Try defending yourself  outside those 11 states with "it is my right" and see how that ends up.....

There are numerous municipalities that have "do not prosecute" policies in effect for some years.

There are countless thousands of times I have NOT GIVEN in order to further my own happiness.

There are a few times if have given to further my own happiness.

One sort of time I never give is when someone is telling everyone they have to give to be truly happy.
2691  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeff Epstein DEAD Commits suicide on: August 19, 2019, 06:53:28 PM
This shit is slowly but surely reaching 9/11 dimensions.

All information so far pretty screams that epstein got suicided.

It's quite obvious that committed suicide. At some moment, his neck compressed itself, breaking several spinal cord bones and compressing the arteries. These actions by his neck caused brain death and then of course all organs stopped functioning.

Necks on occasion exhibit such behavior, usually because of their hate of the particular brain they are in close proximity with. Not being very smart, they do not realize that when they kill the brain, they die also.

2692  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Opinion] Would a Community Managed Social Network be any good? on: August 19, 2019, 01:47:27 PM
Funding by a micro charge per post eliminates the possibility that small fringe groups or persons can spam the system, making it appear that a fringe opinion is mainstream. Those micro charges add up pretty quick if one is posting thousands of messages.

With this it's a matter of finding the right price though it's likely that certain parties would still be able to take that hit since they got money set aside for that purpose. I can imagine that the pricing would get tricky if it's an international sm platform. A trivial price for an American would probably be somewhat expensive for say, a Somali.

Maybe just give each free member a post limit based on how long they've been on the site and maybe a ranking based on community feedback. If they want to exceed that then they pay per post.

Why should the forum care if posters from Somali are disadvantaged?

The point of requiring a price to post is to completely eliminate spam. The alternative is an add driven site? The somalis do not buy from those adds.

Unknown on the types of regulations that I would enact, but on a broad scale I think the idea is very good.

There's no reason that this sort of thing should be underground, run by gangs and some horrible people. We can regulate it, bring people out of the control of pimps and gangs, and bring them into a regulated industry...

I agree totally. Just think of the application of modern tech to this age old business of whoring. We could have a section of every Walmart devoted to whoring. No, scratch that.

Starbucks would be better. YEAH....

2694  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump wants to buy Greenland on: August 18, 2019, 03:07:51 AM
This purchase would give the USA considerably more claim and leverage over the newly exposed natural resources in the Arctic. These claims might be hard for Denmark or Greenland to independently negotiate for and defend, however with the backing of the military might of the US, some kind of share agreement might be maximally beneficial for both parties. It will be somewhat of a hard sell to the native population. I know I wouldn't like it if my nation were sold to another, but if it means more domestic resources, infrastructure, jobs, and government benefits they might see past nationalism.

Highly doubt this is true.  Not seeing any actual evidence.  Seems like a right wing crazy just trying to rile people up and say things like "Oh good lord can't she just go away and stay away?"

Never question the depth of stupid when a Democrat is involved.
2699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Opinion] Would a Community Managed Social Network be any good? on: August 13, 2019, 11:51:51 AM
First the stuff that everyone thinks is horrible is removed and there's no problem there, but when advertisers come in and want other things removed or the site is going to have to shut down people usually change their minds pretty quickly.

Well that really is an issue, I think even with some sort of community guideline etched in stone. Maybe they can just design the site so that the ads can differ depending on the post, like how in Youtube you can choose which videos you like your ad to show up? Maybe like the ad is some sort of signature that you only see when you expand that person's posts, like when clicking "Read more".

IMHO I think one way to make it really community-based is if it's funded by the community instead but I don't know how that would work since people these days expect everything to be free.

Yes but with this sort of site, with no real moderation allowing for some pretty horrible stuff to be posted -- they're going to not be able to fit the advertisers needs too well. Companies that are advertising on a site like this aren't going to pay too well, as it's going to be riddled with the bottom of the barrel ads -- such as investing tips, groups, scams, porn, etc.

This isn't going to be enough to support the network at all, and it's unfair to think that it will.

Sadly this isn't truly possible if you want the network to scale into the levels of Instagram, Reddit, etc.

Funding by a micro charge per post eliminates the possibility that small fringe groups or persons can spam the system, making it appear that a fringe opinion is mainstream. Those micro charges add up pretty quick if one is posting thousands of messages.
