2681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM installed at Elon Musk’s Tesla Gigafactory on: February 12, 2021, 06:38:30 AM
This isn't a big news or something positive for bitcoin. Maybe this news can be used as a source for speculation, because US is already filled with the majority of the Bitcoin ATMs. More than 90% of ATMs installed till date are in USA. If Elon or Tesla has made its own product and installed in its factory or supplied out of USA then this could've been a big news in the cryptospace.
If the media is going to eat it, no matter how small it is then it will be a big deal to bitcoin. This means that adoption in USA is going stronger because BTCATM's are popping up on factories, I never heard of an ATM in a factory but they had BTCATM. It is still a big deal though, we all know that USA has the biggest customer base with their population buying everything the capitalism offers and they are also the most sought after market in the world.
2682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: isn't a crypto market really funny? on: February 12, 2021, 05:57:13 AM
Don't be scare about the current market style dude, this has been the same way cryptocurrencies moved for ages and still moving. Bitcoin recent moved shows that lovers of this coin are now more in-love with the coin, but for other coins( majorly altcoins) in the market that moved 100% or more, are simply those coins that were pumped for cash out. Nevertheless, even the stock market do exhibit the same dynamism, so, nothing is absolutely funny.
My interpretation of what OP thinks is happening is that the market gets funny because big players like Elon Musk are joining the market which OP thinks is not the best thing to do because it leaves out small players like us which was the purpose of bitcoin in the first place. I do agree with the altcoin dilemma, the only way that this problem will be solved is when we do our own research on the altcoin that we are going to invest in.
2683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UBER will start to transact with Bitcoin? on: February 12, 2021, 05:15:56 AM
Just as Bitcoin is not yet a coffee money, it is also not yet a fare money, at least for now pending polished development and adoption of the Lightning Network and other possible solutions to problems pertaining to confirmation time and transaction fee.

However, be that as it may, Uber could still offer that to its clients and see how it pans out. If it makes a significant difference to the number of its users or its revenue, then it's good for business. If it doesn't, then perhaps the right time has not yet come. Or perhaps more innovation could still be integrated with its services so as to still accommodate cryptocurrency payments.
It is not yet at that stage but putting it there to be a choice for passengers to pay and for drivers to get paid, I think that we should we happy about it and I think we do agree on the part of putting it there so passengers can have a choice, I would go as to predict that more people will be curious about bitcoin when this integration happens. I know that it is still volatile but we have to give chance, there is a big difference with coffee money and fare money, not to mention that riding Uber is not as frequent as buying coffee.
2684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: February 12, 2021, 04:41:41 AM
No need to wait for the 20k dip mate because of course mate time is gold if you keep on waiting you will lost all the opportunity. There will always be an opportunity to buy Bitcoin  because I know current prices is way more cheaper compared to future prices. The rise of popular investors will boost adoption that is why prices will keep on rising.
That would be alright for you but not everyone have the money to afford a certain amount of bitcoin at a certain price point that will guarantee their big profit in the long term. I do agree that every day is the right time to buy bitcoin but we have to consider that some people are not alright with that. In my opinion, if we were to consider a price the golden opportunity, I would say that a big dip or a bear run is the golden opportunity to buy but I think that we will see another of that opportunity, bitcoin is volatile and institutional investors and whales can make waves to crash the prices, we just have to wait for it.
2685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Owning One BTC In 2035 Will Make You A Millionaire on: February 12, 2021, 04:03:01 AM
I really wish this would come true.  I'ld be a multi-millionaire!
You can be a multi-millionaire if you were able to hodl your bitcoin for 15 years, and that takes a lot of patience and a stable job to pull off because there will be events that are going to happen to you along the way and those events might make you consider cashing out your bitcoin.
2686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Man in Mexico Updates his Twitter Bio to Include Bitcoin on: February 11, 2021, 10:36:04 AM
It all good now that the whales are creating a different type of hype in the market using the power of social because there was once a moment where nothing of the mogul and celebrities will publicly make an announcement about cryptocurrency.
Having said that, the reason why Elon is doing the hype successful is because of his new rank in the world and a lot of people will want to earn through his knowledge/statement.
This is the best PR for them, they are supporting bitcoin because there are people out there that doesn't know about their company yet and they know that bitcoin users hate centralized financial institutions so they have to get in on the PR hype train to make them and their company more appealing to the bitcoin users. I wouldn't say rank but Elon was crowned the richest man in the world recently so his name is still a fresh thing for many people.
2687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits Record $48.2K on: February 11, 2021, 09:57:20 AM
I think that Bitcoin will achieve again new ATH. This is a bullish time and the era of bullish time is still not ended yet. Moreover there is good news about Tesla buying many BTC. Can it reach $50k? Probably. But we must also analyse the market carefully
The bull run will never end as long people are considering that it is still a bull run. This is a good thing for bitcoin because with Tesla's 1.5 billion USD worth of bitcoin purchase, the institutional investor money that was running dry in January is definitely getting replenished and this purchase could be a precedent to another flood of institutional investor money that the bitcoin market ever needs. In my opinion a 50k will not be a problem because chances are the prices are steadily going up and the resistance in 40k was difficult but another difficult resistance is not possible.
2688  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-02-10 MASTERCARD to allow payments in Crypto on: February 11, 2021, 08:56:50 AM
Good news keeps on pouring in on a daily basis and 2020 and 2021 turns out to be the best years for the market where major companies are investing heavily in bitcoin and now major payment processors are allowing cryptocurrency payments and the price keeps on breaking new grounds.
Hopefully, this good news persist for a long time because cryptocurrency deserves this, years of being painted as a bad thing has definitely taken a toll for the PR of cryptocurrency. This will be good for the customers of Mastercard and other credit card companies that hasn't encountered or doesn't know about bitcoin will definitely get curious about it and that means another one joins the fray.
2689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Will Crypto Regulation In South Africa Work Compared To Other Countries on: February 11, 2021, 08:04:24 AM
Cryoto and a country would have to mert halfway in irder to coexist and be of use to their customers and people, South Africa, being one of the most progressive countries when it comes to cryptocurrency must know about this, so instead of a total ban, they figured it would be much more optimal if they were to impose regulations on if instead, which is a wise move and something that I see a lot of countries out there applying for themselves
The problem with that though is that the compromise will be difficult to accept for both the citizens that uses cryptocurrency and the regulator/government, I don't know about anything in African countries but I know that people are not that trusting of their government which means a compromise will be a difficult problem to tackle because no sides are not willing to bow down in this competition as long as they feel that they are not making an equal benefit, a compromise is difficult but a needed thing to do.
2690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and Trading Strategies. on: February 11, 2021, 07:28:05 AM
I am not good at investing myself but I think if your goal is to 10x your capital and you have not yet achieve that then maybe you have to wait to have that to happen before you pull-out any amount. Of course, there will always be a temptation so that depends on you either you can take something out as a profit and use it elsewhere for any reason or you just go on building on whatever gains already made. Good luck on your plans.
Tenfolds of your capital is a difficult thing to achieve, either you got a really good trade within a month because that kind of increase in profit is only realized in a years time or longer. If you have the money to not use your capital to spend on other things then you can multiply your investments without the problem of giving in to your desires and needs. I would go for having an emergency fund when you plan to invest because emergencies can happen and you don't want to pull out your investment because you lack the funds to alleviate the emergency.
2691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 years ago, when bitcoin was about to reach $1... on: February 11, 2021, 06:44:47 AM
If someone were to travel back in time to tell them that bitcoin will not only get just to 1 USD a pop but 48k USD, I think that they will think of us as crazy people, I read the thread and they are really ecstatic that bitcoin is going to reach the 1 USD value. I don't seem to see any users there that are active in this forum to this day, and I think that we should do their Parity Party in their honor as the pioneers of bitcoin.
2692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexican billionaire changes Twitter bio to Bitcoin on: February 11, 2021, 06:00:19 AM
Latest celebrities that I saw on twitter shilling bitcoin is Lindsay Lohan and also the vlogger Mr Beast (@MrBeastYT) who has both million of followers also have a Bitcoin bio, the popularity of bitcoin is truly inevitable and you are right OP looks like this is only the beginning more CEOs, celebrities and millionaires will join the club for sure.
If Mr. Beast is on board then chances are a lot of people are going to follow that footsteps, he is an influential content creator in the platform. I think that it will only rise in popularity because a lot of people are finding alternatives to aid their financial situation and I think that with more millennial celebrities shilling for bitcoin, I think that an unprecedented growth is going to happen.
2693  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Iam I being scammed? please help on: February 11, 2021, 05:24:43 AM
If you have transferred your money into a bank account, there is a possibility that it can be traced based on the account data that he provides. But this is a transnational crime, of course you have to spend more time and money to catch this criminal.

Grieve for your loss.
If that were the case, I think that OP has a fighting chance to get the money back but given the situation that OP is being torn apart by work, I think that pursuing is a problem for OP because a lot of things are going to be involved. I think that the money will not be enough for Interpol to make a move because this is just a normal instance of getting scammed.

To OP, do not give any money and if there is a possibility that you can trace the scammer, report it to the authority although you can't get your money back because AFAIK the money is already spent or worse hidden somewhere you can't recover.
2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Destroying Bitcoin on: February 11, 2021, 04:45:05 AM
Pretty scary thought but I don't think that we have to worry about for a long time because in the worst case that they are going to sell their bitcoin to profit, they might crash the prices but they will definitely be buying it back at a lower price. As long as there are a lot of individual investors on the market, bitcoin will never be destroyed.
2695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: February 11, 2021, 04:03:11 AM
12% for gamble the earnings and 62% are doing it all. More than 70% of us gamble it.
I actually will be doing it if the campaign I'm joining will pay me into the account of the casino I'm promoting. I think you will consider betting when your income goes into the casino account, its easy to be tempted when you see you can double the amount with a single spin.
That is such of earnings in my opinion, I guess if you are gambling then you might go for the option of being able to use it on casino but thinking of investing it in the casino, I think that it is the far better option, the investment sure sometimes suffer some losses but the profits simply outweighs those losses.
2696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FreeWallet locked even Elon Musk. I still don't trust them. on: February 10, 2021, 10:16:14 AM
I don't want to turn the topic into discussing the their service but I have to point something out. They might be good service but not warning their customers that the their funds most likely will get locked until profound investigation is done, is dragging them down below in matter of trust.

As I said, it was the lol of the day.
The people that would know how bad their service model and how they lock out this accounts will know how to sift through the mud of other user that will discuss the service of FreeWallet. Elon definitely did a beating to their publicity though, with people that are a fanatic of Elon Musk, I think that FreeWallet will suffer big time.
2697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria CBN false statements about Bitcoin on: February 10, 2021, 09:28:47 AM
Posted an update on my Facebook timeline when the news of the regulation popped up tried by all means to educate the ignorant ones who do not know how Bitcoin work differently from the fiat currency beside it was not a ban but a regulation of how the Banks should issue the native currency into exchanges to help facilitate the buying and selling of bitcoin and other digital assets.

CBN is the main culprit in the false news, it headlined the news wrongly and caused chaos all over the country.  Beside people have been able to trade their coins via P2P and OTC. It is a win-win situation for crypto traders.
The problem with their misleading information is that it is mixed with a hint of the truth which is that Boko Haram is a dangerous organization that are using money to funnel terrorist funds, we know that they are trying to find a way but we don't know if they are really using cryptocurrency to funnel those money to buy weapons. The problem with this one misinformation is that they mix fear with the information so people doesn't have a time to process the information or worse they do not even fact-check it. Good thing that P2P and OTC is still alive, I hope that this problem with Nigeria against cryptocurrency gets resolved.
2698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money from Bitcoin in 2021 on: February 10, 2021, 08:17:20 AM
I dont think there is still bitcoin airdrops that is legit nowadays. If that is bitcoin ads clicks where in you earn few sats by viewing ads then maybe those who wanted to try that needs longer patience.

Newbies also cant do daily trading without proper knowledge and confidence. But long teem trade will be suited to them rather than daily trading. Also, I guess you forgot signature campaigns here in forum where they can pay off with bitcoin.
Another one is that social media campaigns wherein newbies can also try, some may pay by their token but they can exchange it into btc if they want if they receive the rewards.

Anyway, this is a good read for newbies;
Saw it here to guide them how to earn bitcoin ij different ways
Never I would still be seeing the word airdrop in this time, AFAIK legitimate airdrops died a long time ago. It is a nice start to do trading as a newbie although losses will be incurred more but it can be prevented if they try to do Stock Market Simulation, they can practice in real time prices without the worry of losing money. Besides signature campaigns, OP also forgot Services that pay in bitcoin and faucets.
2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Future? on: February 10, 2021, 07:10:43 AM
darkest days of BTC
What do you mean by that? You think when price drops it is the "darkest days"? It is actually quite the opposite, for instance when price went down as low as $3k a couple of years ago it was the best day in bitcoin world because you could buy bitcoin at a MASSIVE discount.
That really depends on the perspective, it will be the dark days for you if you bought at a higher price and suddenly the drop in prices happened but if you were planning to buy bitcoin at a certain amount but you do not have the enough money to buy at that price and then the prices dropped dramatically means that you can buy more. There are two sides to the story.
Most? I don't think so. There is still a very small percentage of the world that have accepted bitcoin.
Cryptocurrency? Not at all. They only see bitcoin and some investors may take a look at altcoins.
You are lucky that you can see some businesses that accept cryptocurrency or bitcoin for payment, in my place, there is little to no businesses or even people that knows about bitcoin and cryptocurrency up to this very moment.
2700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria government did not ban bitcoin on: February 10, 2021, 06:37:17 AM
In my opinion, bitcoin should be approved in all countries now. Many countries now do not understand the role of bitcoin, because bitcoin can develop a country's economy.I appreciate the thinking of the Nigerian government and i think day by day all countries government will approve bitcoin.
That is the end game, but each government has a different stances when it comes to things that they think are good for the state, these debate on whether bitcoin should be banned or allowed is like the debate of some countries to gay marriage, abortion, and divorce. I think if we want the government to accept bitcoin and cryptocurrency, we as the users of it should be ready for a lot of regulations that are going to be unsavory for some of us.
