Falling 15% in a few minutes isn't a crash?

1308 is 157€!  On bitcoin.de you can buy for 138€ still, someone should be able to make a killing arbing here!
2703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PPC Peercoin P2Pcoin price fluctuations on: October 15, 2013, 12:29:48 PM
I assume it is people moving over to XPM.  I don't see any reason why PPC should go down and other alts not though...

cryptocyprus & co. , not glad to say this, but it seems that NEOBEE didn't sell a single share from IPO stack for last 2 weeks? And Shares are trading 1/3 under IPO price, maybe its a good time for venture capital? What do you think? When you plan to sell remaining shares to them? You mentioned before, that you have a lot of offers, so why limiting yourself with only one branch when you can get VC for all 3 of them?

I agree 100%, even before all of the exchange nonsense, no one was buying the IPO shares.  People obviously hoped it would quickly rise in value and they could make a quick profit, when that didn't happen they undercut the IPO price, meaning the IPO will never sell out.  I know that you have raised more than the minimum, but surely you aimed for the full amount and if the remained is being offered by VCs, you'd be crazy not to accept it.

Just had some HUGE news for Bee, need to get everything confirmed in writing, then we shall be making some headlines.

Any time line for when you can announce? Or even any hints as to what it is? Wink

Any updates?  At the moment it really doesn't look like the IPVO is going to sell out, on bitfunder no shares were bought at the IPVO price in the last 24h...

Another question about the price of bitcoin affecting the buisiness.  If all goes well and early next year the bitcoin price is about 100€ and it increases by say 10% a month for the next 10 months, you (we!) would make lots of profit.  Would you consider holding more than 100% of deposits in bitcoin reserve in this situation?  Then if and when the price falls you should be covered.
2708  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - The Bitcoin Bank (Cyprus) - LMB Holdings on: September 18, 2013, 09:32:03 AM
I have a question about the buisiness plan.  You plan for an appreciation of the Bitcoin price from February onwards for 6 months, how will you be affected by large changes in the Bitcoin $ cost if it moves before next February?  Also you don't seem to have factored the same bitcoin growth in between now and February as you have from February onwards, is this because of the affect your buying will have on the world market?  In the conservative case you would own about 5% of the worlds bitcoin next August so I guess that could change the price a bit!

I wonder if a crash in bitcoin price before February would be advantageous or not for you.  It would mean that you are buying in low, but your IPO money is less valuable.  Also the reputation of bitcoin might have been hurt by a large fall making it less popular with the risk averse...

I really like the idea and think that as long as the bitcoin price plays ball, it looks very promising.

So from my calculations it will take 2.5million BTC in trade value to return 0.1 btc.

2.5 million x 0.004 in trade fees = 10000 btc x 0.00001 per share = 0.1 btc.

They pay every 6 hours, even with minimal returns the % "interest" is pretty good.
It'll never be anywhere near 0,1 btc though.
2711  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lets see if you can read a simple graph. on: September 10, 2013, 01:54:59 PM
I see everything from take off to fear, but then instead of following the plan to capitulation, it moved back up again!
I assume you are saying that this move up is the "return to normal" (i.e. lets forget about the last 2 rises because it doesn't fit my chart), if so we are in for quite a fall!

I don't really believe in technical analysis too much, it seems excellent for looking back at what has happened, but a poor predictor of what will happen.

It seems a shame that bets just aren't being settled without being prompted.  I used to work at Betfair when they were starting up and sometimes overnight bets would be left unsettled or very occassionally someone would forget a market and it wouldn't be paid out for days or until someone complained.  That was very definitely the exception rather than the rule.

If Bit365 is a 1 man team, it must be a lot of work for him, but if he wants to actually thrive he needs to step up the settlement speed.  Then people will bet more often too, I personally will not bet again if I have unsettled bets from a day or 2 ago.  As I say, it is a shame; the football (soccer) markets are very good and competitively priced.  Maybe he should reduce the other markets offered and stick to simple "to win" or simple line markets until he can get everything in order.

It seems the rise is starting to get noticed outside of the bitcoin world!

Really classy telling her that she should kill hersef and post it on Youtube.  I'm sure that helpdesk employee at Mt Gox deserved that abuse.

Do you mind if I ask, what kind of % profit have you been seeing so far (before investments were allowed)?  It looks like you price to about 104-105% so you would expect a 2-2.5% profit, maybe slightly less if the punters are shrewd.
Usually I wouldn't ask but I guess it will be visable for all to see in the coming weeks!
2717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats the turm for a large rise followed by a small fall? on: August 21, 2013, 03:13:40 PM
I would say the small fall would be called a correction, quite often after a consistent rise or fall analysts say they expect a correction.
It's also profit taking.
