1741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Ponzi affect the price of bitcoin ? on: January 21, 2015, 04:58:57 PM
No. The only thing ponzis effect are the bitcoin balances of the idiots who gamble on them. Bitcoin ponzis barely make a blip in the grand scheme of things.
Agreed, most of them are empty and those that aren't will be soon when the few idiots get ripped off a few times
1742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Apple paid $3.2billion for Beats on: January 21, 2015, 04:46:24 PM
There is a big bubble in stocks and commodities are in a huge slump, that's why Apple can pay stupid money for companies like beats, but commodities like oil and bitcoin (it isn't used enough to be a real currency) are being hit.
1743  Economy / Speculation / Re: Collective action of the bulls on: January 20, 2015, 04:23:13 PM
If you are true believers of the Bitcoin, here is the ultimate strategy to deal with the Bears:

1. Take your coins off exchanges, store it offline. This way, bears will have no coins to borrow and to short.

2. Use your bitcoins to invest in startups and kickstarters. This way, they create real fundamental value for you.

3. Take international remittance jobs for individuals you known for a competitive friendly fee.

You can create real value out of Bitcoin, rather than being bashed on forum, being ripped off by traders and being sculped by exchanges.

And if you truly want to buy or sell, PM some big whales on the forum and do it privately over the counter.

If we all did this, exchanges will have less and less liquidity and becomes a complete casino. The price discovered by exchanges will no longer be legitimate and representative.

True price of the Bitcoin will then be determined by the cash flows you earned from it.

1 should always be done, never store in exchanges, it's just a bad idea.
2 is dangerous as hell. Look at Neo and Bee as just one example
3, hmm how do I do that then?

The price is what it is, it sucks at the moment, but with such a low market cap, it should rise again soon.
1744  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Altcoin prices on: January 20, 2015, 04:17:56 PM
Because it happened last time. First bitcoin went uop, with alts rising in $ value, but going down in BTC value, then Alts exploded several fold in BTC value and even more in $.
Who knows if it will happen again, but if everyone expects it to happen, it probably will.
1745  Economy / Economics / Re: Can it change the scenario? on: January 20, 2015, 04:10:25 PM
Better to on the right side of wall street, but I bet this is chump change to them.
When the FED starts to get involved in bitcoin, then we will be in business!
1746  Economy / Speculation / Re: The next bull market on: January 20, 2015, 04:02:55 PM
The etf is an unknown quantity, it must have some effect when they buy in to the market, unless the Winklevoss twins are happy to sell up at this low price.
1747  Economy / Economics / Re: Swiss franc massive rally on: January 19, 2015, 04:40:09 PM
It's a good decision for Swiss maybe, but awful for people. In my country who took loans in swiss franc used to pay $400 monthly (installment was $400 per month), now it's 800$ per month

WTF!!! Huh

Leaving your currency risk unhedged... That is crazy.

True but I bet lots of fx traders trading a few pips up and down were wiped out when they removed the peg. Its the sort of thing that would happen to me, sell the CHF just as they unpeg it!
1748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sub 200 again on: January 19, 2015, 04:36:58 PM
The wary it has been going recently, it is just a matter of time until the next beat down. Ignoring that, the creep up looks good at the moment, but that has happened before...
1749  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 19, 2015, 06:56:17 AM
52 points when I bet less than 51 rounded off my kick in the teeth Sunday nicely.
I ended up up on the weekend, but nitrogen got back about half of what I won on Saturday, on Sunday :-(
1750  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 18, 2015, 11:18:34 PM
There are the 18 points in the last 5 minutes... bugger: -( tie game means I lose.
1751  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 18, 2015, 10:58:41 PM
Looking good again, it's been a pretty good weekend!
I didn't think the Packers would win, but the run has definitely been on top. I can't see another 18 points in the last 5 minutes, unless GB are really stupid!

If anyone is actually reading this instead of just looking for ponzis, what do you think for Colts@Patriots? If the Patriots can't get pressure on Andrew Luck, then this should be close. I think the Colts cover and under 51 points, but my bet is just under 51 points@2.056
1752  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Say-No-To-Ponzi | STOP PONZI on: January 18, 2015, 08:07:47 PM
Don't "invest"  in them and they will die out.
Its a joke at the moment, there are new ponzis every few minutes!
1753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to say goodbye on: January 18, 2015, 06:35:52 PM
When guys who were around in 2010 start to leave...

the bottom is near.

statistics say: 99% of people that open a topic saying they are going to leave come back after a short while.

If he was seriously thinking about leave the forum he would open a topic selling his account for some good BTC, not a topic about how things are bad and bitcoin has no future.

That's because they are attention seeking. If they wanted to stop posting, they would just stop posting!
Only in very rare cases would anyone notice, and usually that is because someone who trolls constantly stops posting!
1754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Change in public sentiment!? on: January 18, 2015, 06:34:09 PM
As it is mentioned over time, people will start to become more used to it.  When only positive things are written, then those without bitcoins will be a unimpressed that those early investors have done so well.  Now that the price has crashed, the sentiment can change, maybe people will get involved and the user base can increase.
1755  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [NEW!] BtcPonzi.me - FAST 1h Ponzi Rounds | 100% Auto+ Secure on: January 18, 2015, 05:59:04 PM
looks good, zero "players" with 33 minutes left.
I thought Ponzi had a negative meaning, now people use it as if it is a good thing!

It makes me worry about bitcoiners, gambling is one thing, but Ponzis are just stupid.
1756  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 18, 2015, 05:56:14 PM
Ok today isn't going well, on to NFL.
Seattle are 7-1 at home, Green Bay 4-4 on the road...

I think Seattle at home will run all over the Packers.  The spread is pretty big at 8.5, so that is a no bet for me, but I think it'll be a low scoring game, so I'll go:
Under 44 points @2.116

I doubt I will stay up for the second game, which looks like being a great game.  Though I doubt I will bet as I won't be watching it, I think the Colts will cover.
1757  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 18, 2015, 04:59:04 PM
Well this isn't going as expected, Arsenal have parked the bus!  It started to look better for Man City at the end of the half though, an early goal would be nice.
1758  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 18, 2015, 03:04:35 PM
Well the "for interest" bet isn't going to come off, apparently West Ham are better than I thought they are.
Looking forward to the 4pm game though, there could be goals a plenty.
1759  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 18, 2015, 09:14:16 AM
Just for a bit of interest, I have bet the draw for low stakes in the West Ham vs Hull game.
They are both on dreadful form and don't seem to have the confidence to kick on for wins.
West Ham should win this one, but Bruce will have Hull ready to fight, and I think they will battle out a draw.
1760  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 17, 2015, 09:36:06 PM
Tomorrow I will be backing Man City to win against Arsenal @1.815
Arsenal usually get tonked by any decent team away from home nowadays, I think with Aguero back Man City will be in a goal scoring mood and should win a high scoring game.
