Milwaukee at San Antonio
Pick: San Antonio ML *

NFL:

New England at Seattle
Pick: New England ML X

Good luck! Wink

I hope you are wrong on the NFL, the Seahawks are hard to love, but I hate the Pats!
I expect a low scoring game
1722  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football and NFL betting this weekend. on: January 25, 2015, 05:23:53 PM
I'd say 90% there now, almost weighed in!

GG.!! you made it.!! Im surprised on y u didnt choose arsenal?? 3 team parlay would have done wonders.!
After yesterday's demolition of the big teams, I didn't want to get involved at low odds.
0.243 profit for the weekend, I'll take that for betting small stakes (0.05 per bet)

See you next weekend, bundesliga is back too, woohoo!

Hmm pretty much every favorite lost! Man city, spurs,  Chelsea all out, it was brutal today!
Pleased I only bet the parlay so didn't lose too much. I'll be back tomorrow.

It is the Cup magic mate.!! This happens all the time on the FA cup.! I generally try to avoid it..but this time even I got trapped into it..n lost.! Sad

I know it's crazy!  I'm still going for
West Ham @ 1.964 and
Villa @ 2.326

today though. 2 singles and a parlay, lets have it!
Half way there, come on villa!
1725  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new way to calculate "fundamental" BTC value on: January 25, 2015, 10:48:59 AM

EDIT: using a traditional P/E ratio of 20 (instead of 10, which is what I effectively used above when I assumed it will produce for 10 years), and an estimated $340 "earnings per year" per bitcoin, gives us an estimated bitcoin valuation of $6800/BTC.
20:1 is massive bubble territory, i.e. where the stock markets are now.
Bitcoin also isn't a company, show me a currency with a 20 P/E ratio, what is the P? a currency doesn't make profit!
1726  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pockie Soccer Pick's [Track Record] on: January 25, 2015, 10:46:09 AM
Has there been a second bet after that ? Or did he give up after it ?

he put everything into his bet.

So I guess no new bet.
I thought he made a max bet, that doesn't mean all in, unless he has the worst staking system in the world!

1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMS, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Pearl, Recent Mandatory Update on: January 24, 2015, 10:04:53 AM
Yeah I am using the lingo of commodities!  Everyone hates paper gold and silver keeping the prices down!
It is an interesting idea with Cryto though, and I guess on a dice betting site there won't be a short call as the profits and losses will be gradual.

The physical clams might be in short supply, but JD is backed by paper CLAMs now, I don't know how much effect that has on the market, but I don't like it.

"backed by paper CLAMs" is a funny way of putting it. Any CLAMs you win on Just-Dice are real CLAMs. There's no danger of winning "paper" CLAMs and not being able to withdraw them.

Interestingly, the recent change of allowing people to have only a fraction of their investment actually on deposit was the opposite of what I expected.

I thought it would allow the biggest investors to free up some of their CLAMs, possibly resulting in lots of CLAM being sold off, but what seems to be happening is that new even bigger investors are coming in now that they can have a significant stake in the site without having to convert more than a small percentage of their net worth into CLAM to do so.

Edit: oh, and the reason I came back to this thread right now was to mention that I've replaced the bootstrap.dat with a new up-to-date version. See the old post for details.

Edit2: it's been a while since I posted charts of the network difficulty over time:

Ok new weekend, new bets.  It's not great this weekend, no Premier league, no Bundesliga and no real NFL!
I will bet a couple of FA cup games in a parlay instead.

Tottenham -0.5 @ 1.726
Southampton -0.5 @ 1.623
West Ham -0.5 @ 1.994
Aston Villa -0.5 @ 2.396

Total odds: 12.988

I can't say that any of the top teams take my fancy, as they all can scrape through with a reserve team if they want.  I alos don't really think they care about the FA cup.
There is always a shock or 2 in the FA cup, but I can rarely pick it! The villa game is interesting to me, I always fancy the premier league team unless the championship team really is outstanding. so 2.4 looks nice to me. I might bet that one as a single too tomorrow.

Good luck all betters and let me know your opinions too please (not like the guy above saying he thinks Real will win 3 days after they won though!)

How much of a dick do you have to be to refer someone to a scam ponzi?  Hey "friend" I have invested in this obvious scam, but on the off chance that they haven't just completely stolen my money, could you join so I might get a profit and 10% extra? You will almost certainly lose your money, but there is a possible 10% extra for me!!
1733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 23, 2015, 02:54:46 PM
Price is rising fast in €, hopefully it will rise in $ too soon, then we Europeans get a double win
1734  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.eu - SPORTSBOOK - POKER - INSTANT WITHDRAWALS on: January 23, 2015, 12:23:16 PM
I know it's late notice, but any chance of a dubai marathon market?
Even a T. Bekele to win, top 3 and World record or not market would be great.
1735  Economy / Gambling / Re: vig free sports betting thread on: January 23, 2015, 12:20:27 PM
just post picks here that you want and how much you want to bet. any sport.

use escrow.

i want seahawks $50-$400 worth of btc.

What are you talking about? You want tips? Or you want us to post here so that you can bet for us? I can bet for myself thanks!

i don't want tips. i'm not betting for anybody. i want to bet seahawks myself for the amount of $400. some people want to bet less. i'll take any bet from $50-$400. if someone wants to take patriots, then we can bet against each other.

rather then it being -105 or even -110 odds, we get even odds. vig free. works for spreads as well.

feel free to use this thread to post anything you are interested in betting, maybe another user will want the other side and you can both save money.
Ok, the idea is fair enough, but the logistics are difficult.  That's why bookmakers have lots of rules and T&Cs.
I do think someone should set up a betfair for bitcoin though, bitfair anyone?
1736  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pockie Soccer Pick's [Track Record] on: January 23, 2015, 12:15:27 PM
well, Chelsea is strong this season, so his bet wasn't unreasonable. Risky yes, but not unreasonable. Hope to see some more picks, despite the first loss.

Liverpool's current form is pretty good..n that too the game at their home..!! They r unbeaten in 6 straight games..! He could have rather gone for Real Madrid or Bayern for his first pick..! Dominate the game..n Play to win each time.!! Chelsea Did not have a shot on goal yesterday..other than the converted penalty.! The game was dominated by L'pool...most parts.! soo...Winning both halfs?? It was kinda unreasonable bet..!

Not really, Liverpool are midtable, Chelsea are dominant.  Ok the game didn't go that way, but it wasn't unreasonable and 6.6 seems like a dcent price to me.
That is is a league cup game played against the bet though, I'd be much more confident if it were a league game.
1737  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much wall street money will be pouring into bitcoin now? on: January 23, 2015, 07:36:18 AM
It's getting bitcoin positive press too, which is novel at the moment!
I wouldn't expect too much industrial investor money, it is still high risk and high volatility for private investors I think we will see an increase.

Once again, you only have 15 Chances.
I am very very sorry if there's some kind of bug on the website. its fresh! so the possibility of me losing all my Faucet BTC is very big lol.
So we shouldn't be able to solve it just by the one sentence on the website and the number? Good, because I have no idea!

Seahawks FTW ... I won't bet too much, just enough to keep the excitement up. 0.1BTC on them.
It's weeks away yet, who knows what the BTC price will be by then?!
I think the Pats will win, I hope they don't though.
